The Next Day :

"Are you sure you don't want to fight again with those interns ? I'm not ready to leave yet, you know."
Rajwan said, looking around for any signs of interns.
"Rajwan, that's sweet, but I'm fine. You can't be late for school. Don't worry about me."

I assured.
Like always, Rajwan heard about those interns attacking me and was ready to defend me, no matter how many times I told him that Barron has already defended me, and that Miss Fifi fixed everything.
"I just don't want you to be upset, you know ? You're my sister."

Aww.
"Don't worry, Rajwan. If something happened, I'll be there for her, just as she's there for me."
Barron reassured. I wrapped my arms around his waist in return.
"Okay, fine."
I gave him a hug before he walks out the door, leaving. I don't know why, but my chest tightened, and it left me in confusion.

Something bad is going to happen to him.
A voice in my head echoed.
I snapped out of my thoughts when I saw Barron staring angrily at something. I turned around, and sure enough, it was the intern that insulted me the day before.

I dragged Barron gently by his hand up the stairs, giving her a sassy look as I did so.
"What are you looking at ?"
I said, َmimicking her voice before we disappeared.

Victory.

...

"Guys, I'm bor-red."
Donia complained, groaning in boredom.
"I can't believe Miss Nagwa is absent again."
So, everyone was complaining about not having a teacher, but in reality, they didn't want a teacher. They thought it was better that way.
But, I wasn't complaining. I didn't want to keep texting people in front of a teacher.

I kept thinking about the bad feeling I had all the time, but, as it turns out, I wasn't so wrong after all.

In Another Place :

He didn't watch where he was going. He thought it was alright to cross the playground while careless boys were playing football in the middle, but he was so wrong.
The boys didn't care who was crossing, and didn't care who they hit after all.

It wasn't their fault, they knew it.
Just as he walked, he felt something hit his ankle robustly, making him fall to the ground with a loud thud. He groaned in pain from the force of the fall, but as he tried to get up, intense pain shot through his ankle, making him groan louder in pain, closing his eyes.

Someone ran up to him, trying to help him up, but as he tried to stand up, he realized that he twisted his ankle badly, and he couldn't walk on it, as it was too painful.
"I-I can't.."
He whispered, tears filling his eyes.
"It's okay, we got you."

His friend assured, and tried to help him up again. This time he succeeded, but as Rajwan tried to stand up fully, more tears filled his eyes, blinding his sight for a few moments.
"Ow.."
He groaned, a small tear going through his face.
"It's okay."

He heard the words again, and started to walk very slowly towards the school's nurse.
