I sat on the bed, trying to snap myself to reality. I looked around me.
Nothing.
I glanced at Barron.
Boy, he looked like an angel. He looked so peaceful, and I took a good look at him. Not a creep or anything, but hey..! You would've understood.

His face muscles relaxed, his chest and stomach heaving up and down with each heartbeat and breath as a sign that he was breathing, his both hands pressed slightly against his stomach, his neatly-done bowl-cut hair. Wow, he was so relaxing.
I didn't understand why would anyone bully an angel like Barron, but then I got the answer myself. They were all devils.

I gave him a smile, and leaned in to kiss his cheek.
"you're so cute.."
I mumbled softly, and planted a kiss on his forehead, which was mostly covered by his hair.
As I shifted in the bed, trying to get comfortable so I can get ready to fall asleep again, I realized how thirsty I was.

I slowly crept out of bed, trying not to wake Barron up as I moved.
I quietly stepped downstairs and headed to the kitchen.
I went for the water jug, and carefully poured myself a glass, when I heard a sound behind me.

I turned around quickly, spilling the glass of water on the kitchen table in the process.
"what's your problem ?! You scared the hell out of me !"
I looked at Rajwan, who was taken aback by my sudden action.

"sorry..I just got here to get a glass of water."
I rolled my eyes.
"well, me too. So there."
A second of silence passed, before he looked at me uncomfortably.
"listen, I..I'm sorry for being so overprotective. I should've trusted you and Barron."

I rolled my eyes again.
"yeah. You completely trusted me by spying on our conversation before we sleep. I know you had the others with you, and it was probably Allison's idea or something, but still."

I snapped angrily.
"I said I'm sorry, Adelle. Why are you so upset about it ?"
He said quietly, still taken aback by my annoyance.
"because I'm me ! I hate it when people don't trust me, but here you are ! My own brother."
He sighed in guilt. I thought I heard him mumble an apology under his breath.

"We'll..talk about it another time, okay ? It's not because I don't trust you, I'm just a bit overprotective when it comes to my sisters."
He said calmly.

When I entered my room again, I saw Barron shift in his side of the bed, and looked up at me.
"where were you..?"
He said in a soft, raspy voice.
"just getting water, sweetie. Don't worry. You can go back to sleep."

I assured, pecking his lips as I sat on the bed again.
"good night, Goddess."
"good night, sweetie."
I wrapped my arms around his stomach, and sank back in a restless slumper.

Dream :

"something bad is going to happen soon. You don't know what it is. But it will happen, and you can't do anything about it."

A voice said in my dream, and as soon as I woke up the next day, I remembered the sentence clearly, and decided to write it down.

What did it mean ?
