Chapter 1

"But, mum ! Why do you have to drag us all the way for you ?"
I exclaimed, anger and sadness rising inside me.
"You already spent your summer vacation in America. That's enough ! You get your new cast and ride the private jet on Wednesday."
My mum ordered.

Wednesday. After three days.

"But why ? I have to attend WattCon in a few weeks ! What do you have to lose?!"
I asked.
"Work is not exactly doing great. And you need to attend school from the beginning and meet your new brother."

Brother ? Do we have a new brother ?

"Brother ? What did we miss ?"
She sighed.

"Everything ! You don't need to be absent again as this is an important year for you and your brother. With the form and everything. And you need to meet Nabil."

So his name is Nabil ? Good to know.

"Just listen to me for once in your life, Adelle ! You don't need to be stubborn. You're not losing anything anyway."
I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever. Do whatever you want, mum. There's no point in arguing with you. See you in Egypt."

I hung up after, sighing heavily.

Go to Egypt again ?
What does she want that for ?
I entered the Set again, looking at the cast who were packing everything they had.

The Exhausting Journey was finished yesterday, and the first episode was aired on Hulu, getting so much succession and attention.

It was the talk of the town, which made me happy, and excited for the rest of the episodes to be aired. But then mum had to tag along, and ordered us to go back to Egypt because I have an 'important school year' as far as she thinks.

I'm starting ninth grade along with my brother Rajwan, and it's making me nervous, as ninth grade is a big deal in Egypt, because after that you start high-school.

However, I wasn't looking forward to it. I didn't know why. I just wasn't.
But, I was looking forward to start filming my two famous short stories The Teacher and One-way Train.
I didn't want to go back to Egypt, but I had to.
And I have to leave Barron. I have to move everything else, the new cast, my helpers. Everything. And mum thought it was so easy.

"Guys, we need to go back to Egypt."
I said in dread, waiting for their reactions.
"Oh."
Was all I heard.
A few nervous moments passed, before Pamela spoke.
"Last visit wasn't so bad. It will be okay."

Ok, good start.

..

"I'll miss you, Goddess."
Barron said, hugging me tightly, his bowl-cut bangs brushing against the side of my head gently. I hugged him back, a tear going through my face.
"Don't worry, Adelle. I might surprise you like last time."

He said as we let go, squeezing my hand.
We then leaned in, and kissed each other passionately.

In case if you're all wondering, Barron got over the incident with Hanin earlier, but he didn't tell his parents. I guess because he didn't want his parents to think badly of Egyptian girls, including me.

Wow, I'm so lucky.

I'm happy he got over it.
Wonder how I got revenge ? Well, here goes.
I called Salma, Hanin's older sister, that day, and threatened to get her sister deported back to Egypt, as Donald Trump would do anything to keep me happy and satisfied, because his son is in love with me, but Salma doesn't know who my future father-in-law is. She just thought I was being arrogant.

However, I asked Hanin that day what made her do that to my boyfriend, and I'll never forget her answer.

"Someone gave me advice."
Who did she mean by someone ? I wondered.
Not the kind of revenge I was hoping for, but it worked in the meantime.

Now that my mum is asking us to go back, will things be the same ? Especially after everything that happened in Egypt that she doesn't know about ?

Well, we'll about to find out.
