You spent lunch with Kageyama and then went off to your separate classes, you being in class 4 and he was in class 3. Although you did find out that he was in some of the same classes as you, just for different subjects.

After school, you happily wandered to the locker room to change out of your uniform and into your sportswear. You met your new team there, the girls also changing as well.

"Hey Sonic!" Mira beamed, you waving back as a response. "Put this on!"

You raised your hand as an automatic response as she tossed a waterproof material at you, you briefly missing as it hit you in the face. You straightened it out and held it out in front of you, the sight making you smile automatically.

It was a team jacket, the majority being black; white and orange stripes down the arm and a Karasuno logo on the back and in the top corner on the front. You admired it and the other girls could tell you liked it just from the excited and smiley expression on your cheeks.

"This is so cool!" You clenched the material in your palms tightly, peering up at the other girls who shared your excitement. "Thankyou!"

"No problem, L/N." Elanie said, coming up next to you to see the jacket you still held out in front of you, laughing at your childlike joy and ruffling your hair playfully before going back to getting changed. You put on the jacket and it fitted you nicely, you immediately straightening it out proudly and shoving your hands in the pockets.

Everyone then left to start training, you giddily following after them. Once you reached the track field, everyone gathered around as Elanie gave instructions.

"OKay!" Elanie clapped her hands together. "Today we'll focus on pas-" She looked to the sky, a few rain droplets dripping directly onto her forehead. She sighed. "Oh you got to be shitting me."

Everyone peered up at the threatening grey clouds swarming and suffocating the recent pure blue sky, heavier and heavier raindrops plummeting down.

"Uhh-" Mira hesitated. "Elanie, its raining."

"Yeah I can see that, dipshit."

"Don't call me a dipshit, shitdip." Mira bit back.

"Well don't point out the obvious." Elanie flicked her forehead, Mira going to pounce on the team captain but was held back by Kim.

"Guys, instead of fighting why don't we get out of the rain." Kim rolled her eyes, dragging Mira and Elanie by the collars of their jackets, the team chuckling and following after.

"Oh I have an idea." Elanie jogged off, leaving the rest of the team behind, confused. She soon came back and told everyone to follow her, which they did. You soon realised that you'd shown up outside of the boys volleyball club gym, Elanie wandering inside, everyone hesitantly doing the same.

When everyone had gotten out of the rain, your clothes were soaked including your new jacket which you pouted about, taking it off and holding the dripping material in the bend of your arm. You stood next to Mira and peered around, all of the boys just as confused as the girls, as Elanie and the volleyball team captain discussed between one another.

You glanced around and noticed Kageyama stood on the other side of the gym, a volleyball locked in between his palms as you met eye contact. You gave a cute smile and he returned it with a small one, until a ginger kid began bickering at him due to the uncommon smile on his face, Kageyama responding by throwing the ball at his forehead and yelling back. You laughed quietly at the situation happening in the distance, Mira hearing you and following your view to see it herself.

Mira nudged your shoulder, you switching your attention to her. "You know them?"

"Uh, only the black haired one." You shrugged. "He went to my old middle school before I moved."

"Oh nice." She smiled. "You friends or more?"

"More? What, no." You denied awkwardly. "I mean, no."

She squinted her eyes and gave a breathy chuckle at your response. "You sure?"

"Yeah." You nodded your head, your wet hair moving a little bit.

"M'kay." She laughed, not really believing you, before glancing around the gym herself. "Yo! Tanaka!" Mira yelled, noticing a boy with a buzz-cut come out of a storage closet.

"Mira!" He responded loudly, both of them fist bumping when he jogged up to her. "Whatta ya doing here?"

"I dunno. It started raining really bad and Elanie is now talking to Daichi." She explained, motioning to the two team captains discussing with each other.

"Oh right." He shrugged. "Who's this? I've never seen you before." He looked behind Mira's shoulder to see you stood there, your jacket pushed up nervously against your chest.

"This is Y/N, our only first year." Mira introduced, you smiling and waving kindly, Tanaka beaming back. "But I call her Sonic."

"Nice ta meet you, Sonic!" Tanaka grinned, his voice booming and enthusiastic. "I think I could guess why they call you Sonic."

"Are you sure?" Mira chuckled. "Never know what's going off in that thick skull of yours." She tapped her knuckles gently against the side of his head and you laughed, him growling and pushing her hand away playfully.

"I'm guessing she's called Sonic because she's faster than you." He smirked, and Mira pouted and averted her eyes to the floor.

"No." She mumbled, dragging out her words.

"Are you lying?" Tanaka teased.

"Yes."

"Haha, see! I guess I can use that thick skull of mine." He joked, then turning to you. "So you must be good if you're better than a team official member."

"Yeah she is, even if I don't like to admit it." Mira said warmly. "Elanie wants to put her on the official school team as well." She put her arm around your shoulder, and looked down at you.

"OKay guys!" Elanie called the girls team over, Daichi going and speaking to the boys team. "We're going to join up with the boys team for today and do basic muscle training that will benefit both of the groups, so make sure you thank Daichi for letting us join. Plus he owes me since he copied my homework the other day.." She whispered the last part. "But don't mention that."

Daichi and the boys team wandered up to all of you and the two team captains began explaining that they'd put everyone into partners for the training and stretches. Daichi and Elanie put one member of the boys team and one member of the girls team together.

"Tsukishima." Daichi said. "And Mira." Elanie finished.

Mira smiled and walked up to the skinny, tall blond, attempting to be friendly and went to give a high five but Tsukishima rolled his eyes and turned to walk away. Mira clenched her jaw and the whole girls team already knew it was a bad match up from the anger forming over her eyes as she followed him with clenched fists.

They continued matching up the pairs and eventually Daichi said Kageyama's name.

"Kageyama." Daichi called out and as soon as Mira heard the name, she ran away from Tsukishima and sprinted to Elanie and whispered something in her ear, briefly making eye contact with you.

"And Y/N." Elanie finished.

You knew exactly what Mira interrupted with, watching her pace back over to the snarky blond that was already pissing her off.

You walked up to Kageyama and Daichi ordered everyone to start training and doing basic warm up stretches. You both started with simple stretches and then did pair sit ups.

You sat down and Kageyama held your feet to the ground, you beginning to do sit ups effortlessly. He wasn't used to the new you, the energetic and fitter version, you having no problem with stamina or exercise, where as the middle school you couldn't even run half a lap of the track without wanting to have a break.

"I'm surprised you still do track." He mentioned as you sat up, coming face to face with him.

"Why?" You breathed out as you lent back and sat back up again.

"Because of everything that happened with Rinni." He said, you jolting at her name which he noticed. "I thought what she did would've put you off."

"Honestly, it actually made me want to do it more." You chuckled sweetly, which he tilted his head at. "It wasn't that I didn't enjoy track, I just struggled because of my weight. But the track team at the middle school I moved to were really nice and that's when I decided to get healthier."

"That's good to hear." He nodded.

"Alright, lets swap." You motioned for him to get off your feet, which he did. He sat down and you placed your weight onto your palms which held down his feet.

"I need more weight than that." He said monotonously.

"Wha- That's my full weight." Your eyes were widened.

"Oh. You're light."

"Wait." You manoeuvred and used your knees on top of his feet instead of your palms. "That better?"

"It'll do." He chuckled, finding your small size amusing. He began doing sit ups and you leaned your arms over his knees.

"So did you lose weight from just doing track?" He pondered, simply making conversation.

"Yeah mainly." You rested your chin on top of your hands. "I do follow a bit of a diet but I'm really bad at sticking to it." You joked and giggled a bit to yourself. "I'm always having cheat days."

"Well.. you.." He sat up and locked eyes with your shining E/C ones. "You look great." He mumbled nervously. He sat back to do another sit up, but when he raised back up, you'd lifted your head and your faces were merely inches apart.

"Thanks." You whispered with a shy smile, his cheeks bursting into a flustered red. "So do you."

"t..thanks." He couldn't unlock his admiring gaze with yours.

"You're fucking ANNOYING!" Mira's voice made both of your heads snap in her direction. "You know that?!"

"Yes. And you are so much better." her blond partner snarled sarcastically, Mira getting up and stomping over to Elanie. Tsukishima smirked and rolled his eyes. "You need to contain those anger issues of yours." He remarked.

"I'm gonna fucking snap those lanky limbs of yours!" Mira bit, rolling up her sleeves and attempting to storm over to Tsukishima but Elanie sighed and held her back.

"Alright, lets do something different.." Elanie grumbled to Daichi.
