SUMMARY!

Foresight is a gift. This was a sentiment that Faye Kirigan was reminded every day of her life — whether it be from her Divination-mad mother or best friend, Daisy, who simply wanted to know what the breakfast spread would be the following day. However, Faye couldn't disagree more.

Having been blessed with clairvoyance from a very young age, foresight was just as familiar to the girl as any of her other senses. Yet while her skill was celebrated by those who knew, she couldn't help but feel that it wouldn't be as well-received by the general student body of Hogwarts. So, in desperation to blend in with the crowd, she kept her gift behind closed doors.

As far as anyone at Hogwarts was concerned, she was just the Hufflepuff girl with a peculiar aptitude for Divination.

But when she enters her fifth year, her visions begin to change. Instead of simply knowing the Quidditch results or when someone would spill pumpkin juice all over the table, she is plagued with the unshakable image of Cedric Diggory's dead body.

When it comes to her knowledge that Hogwarts is playing host to the Triwizard Tournament and that Cedric is planning on entering, she makes it her personal mission to save his life and change the future.

However, it'll be easier said than done considering that they've never even spoken to one another.

PLOT POINTS TO CONSIDER!

— The only people who know of Faye's gift are her mother and her best friend, Chloe, however she tells neither one of the visions of Cedric.

— Faye's mum owns an aromatherapy shop in Central London, that sells tea and crystals etc, which they live over. In no way is her mother psychic, but pretends to be to exploit Muggles.

       — Faye's vision does not specify how Cedric ends up dying, so she is constantly prepared to save him whether it's from a dragon or from falling down the stairs — which definitely can be humorous.

       — After having the vision she is able to see Threstrals as she have technically seen death, is very alarmed and is convinced that Cedric Diggory is dead.

       — At first Cedric just assumes she's another girl clamouring for his attention following the Champion selection, which is very infuriating for her as he's constantly dismissing her.

       — Throughout the year, her visions provide her with clues for the upcoming tasks which she uses to aid Cedric although he doesn't take her seriously. For a long time, she tries to convince him to drop out.

       — He only begins taking her seriously when he learns about the dragons from Harry — having dismissed her when she'd told him the very same thing. He apologises despite not understanding how exactly she knew.

       — From that point on, Cedric takes her help gladly but thinks it's only to help him win the tournament, not save his life. Hence his attitude is always a lot more chilled than hers as she's convinced he is going to die any second.

       — When Faye begins to catch feelings for Cedric, she denies and pushes them away so she can be more focused on keeping him alive.

— Cedric on the other hand is much more responsive to his feelings for her, which makes for a very cute dynamic between them.

— It's up to you whether Faye succeeds in preventing his death or not.
