"What's something you've always wanted to do?" I ask her, glaring at her with my stern eyes. I want to keep holding her for bizarre reason, but I continue to do so.
She thinks for a moment and then looks up at me with her face gleeming with happiness, her plump lips part and she begins to speak softly, "I've always wanted to go on the boats here, travel along the lake, the water always looks beautiful, peaceful..." I nod and take her hand, I direct it to follow me in which her body listens.
We walk up the stairs and exist out of the pool, word hasn't got out yet that Alessia is my daughter, but as soon as she knows, everyone else will soon get a sniff.
I allow Luna to follow me into the kitchen where I make a coffee for Luna and I, she thanks me and takes a large sip, without feeling the burning hot sensation rum down her throat; tearing at her skin. She looks out of the window as the sky begins to darken but I can't take my eyes off of her, I feel the urge, like a magnet just to draw myself nearer to get a sniff of her, she smells a lot like coconut, but something else... Something spicy.
The kiss we had was passionate, hungry, burning for more. I don't usually kiss a woman knowing it won't go elsewhere, god, I don't kiss a woman full stop, the intimate feeling of having someones lips on you, sharing saliva. It puts me off unless I'm drunk on alcohol. But today it didn't take me a drop of alcohol, I needed to feel Luna's lips on mine, I have no idea what's going on, but this needs to stop. I can't let the kiss happen again.
"I'll take you, tonight." She looks at me with her mouth shaped like an 'O' I chuckle and take her hand into mine again and feel the electrical impulse shoot through my fingers to around my body. And here I say no to kisses.
"Why?" She cocks up her brow and stares at me dangerously, I look at her end wedge myself into her space. "Why not?" I reply with a smirk running across my face, I need to ensure Luna and I are on good times before we tell our daughter who I am, Alessia and I have built a relationship slightly, but we can't announce the truth unless all is fixed.
"Okay." She states with a suspicious tone, "I'll come with you." I smile and she sighs in defeat. I look up at the clock in the kitchen which views 13:00PM. I look back at Luna and begin to talk once again.
"Be ready at seven." She nods in agreement but stops me in my tracks, pulling me back away.
"When should I tell Alessia?" I sigh at her question but she stops, she nods at me knowing that my glare answers her question for her.
"Wait, Dante!" She calls out again which begins to get on my nerves, but I keep myself cooled down and stare at Luna again.
"If there comes a time where you feel like it's right to tell her and I'm not there, you can." She smiles and I nod, walking away slowly just in case her voice drags me back. But she doesn't.
I walk down to the gym where it's full of silence, all I have on is shorts, I begin to punch the boxing bag and kicking it, pretending it's our enemy. The Russians.
I decide to stop and head towards the running machine a few moments later, I alternate through the different machines in the gym until the hours tick by, it's been four hours since Luna and I's indicent that happened in the pool. I begin to feel the sweat run from my forehead down to the tip of my nose. I begin to hear two pairs of small feet chasing one another down the stairs, running into the gym room with a thump.
A stream of sniffles are soon echoing through the gym, I rush over to where the sound had come from and see Alessia there sitting on the floor with her arms hooked around her knees, she's pulling them to cover her face. I bend down next to Violetta who is already sending comfort to Alessia.
I pick Alessia up and let her legs hook around my hip. She looks at me with glassy eyes, "What's wrong?" I ask her and lift her chin up to look at me, her eyes usually look familiar, like I'm looking into a mirror, but with her bloodshot eyes, the colour of the iris changes. Darker, sapphire. Just like her mother's.
"I fell over, I'm trying not to cry." She sniffles, the small steam wants to fall from her eyes, but she's too stubborn to allow it to fall.
"It's okay to cry, where do you hurt?" I look at her and she points to her knee, I put her down on the situp chair and analyse her knee, planting a small kiss over the scratch. She smiles at me and wraps her hands around my neck, pulling me close and whispering a simple 'thank you' in my ear.
Everything is silent until I hear Alessia say my name, it sounds barely like a whisper. "Dante." She states again, I look at her and she's pointing at my chest, I'm clueless but then the realisation that my top is off hits me. I glance around and see no sight of Violetta anymore, she's probably gone to make Alessia a 'special milkshake' to cheer her up.
"Why is my name on your heart?" She states, still looking confused yet curious.
"Um, because..." This is the first time a woman has made me speechless, I stare at her and stay down at her level. Our eyes meet and she still looks curious.
"What has your mummy told you about your dad?" I ask, she looks at me, as if she doesn't know what a dad is.
"Nothing." She shrugs.
"Do you know what a dad is? What they do?"
"Well in movies they're always strong, and they look after the girls." She states.
"What would you do if you had a daddy to do those things?" I look at her, I don't know if the time is right in this moment in time, but she is my daughter, my flesh and blood. I want her to know me and know how much I'll protect her, with my whole life.
"I would be even more happy." She mutters lightly, I hardly hear her. But I do, I listen to every word.
She looks at me as if she pieces the puzzle together, the glance she gives matches her mother's, "Are you my dad?" She questions me, I nod lightly and a large smile appears onto her face. She wraps her arms around my neck and holds me tight. The reaction I didn't think I'd get.

Its ten to seven, I stand and wait in nothing else but a buttoned black shirt and trousers. I put my wrist down and glance away from my watch as I wait for Luna's arrival.
Seconds pass and then I suddenly see Luna's blonde hair all curled and loose, her eyelids carry silver glitter that is bouncing off of the light and her dress spreads out from the bottom, letting the air travel up to puff it out further.
The beautiful purple dress suits her perfectly, I like her in red, but this purple dress just suits her more. Something about the dress brings out Luna's eyes. She notices me from the top of the stairs and walks down slowly and she let's loose a tiny smile.
Making it to the bottom of the stairs I say to her with a clear voice, "You look lovely." I don't know why I said it, but I did. But I'm sure as hell not lying.
I grab her by the arm lightly and guide her out of the house, I wave goodbye to Alessia who is waving at us and creating a heart shape with her fingers.
The walk is minuscule, we walk along the bridge and face the boats in front of us, but as soon as I turn to her, her eyes glow. "Really?" She questions, I nod and she almost lets out a tiny squeal.
We both take the stairs and meet the guy who is the boss of the boats, he lists off rules and instructions, then allows us onto the boat, I hold Luna's hand just in case she falls.
"Thank you." She let's out a smile which shows off her two dimples.
"Zaffiro, I hope this is what you imagined." I begin to stroke the two sticks either side of the boat, the boat is oak with gold patterning around the perimeter. She looks at me and smiles brightly once again.
"Even better." I nod and suddenly feel a burst of warmth erupt through my ribs. I look at Luna who is already mesmerised by the dark water beneath us, the stars are bringing out the sparkles within the lake.
I continue to row the boat and then reveal champagne and two glasses, where we then drink under the moon and stars.
