The sun set a couple of hours ago, meaning everyone but the mafia men are asleep.
I stand across from Draco who is sitting down on the stool in our entertainment room, I sigh and run my fingers through my hair, blood boiling in my body encouraged me to launch myself at Draco. But I didn't.
"Do you have anything to say? Testa di cazzo." [Dickhead]
I stare at Draco who holds his water in a whiskey glass and refuses to break eye contact with it.
"Niente da dire?" [Nothing to say] I grit my teeth and picked up the whiskey glass next to him and threw it at the dart board, gaining three pairs of eyes, apart from Draco's.
"Dante, calm down." My brothers voice interrupted the blood still sizzling in my veins, I rolled my eyes and sat next to Draco on the stool.
"Do you have any idea what you have done?" I chuckle in attempt to cover up the anger rising.
"She could have died." I mutter, before finishing, "She could have died and we know fuck all about her!" I stand suddenly and slam my palm onto the counter watching other glasses shake.
"That is all you care about isn't it Dante?" He sniggers and stood tall to face me, "Not the fact she had a daughter there. Who is young and has her whole life ahead of her, she could've been shot Dante, but, you didn't think about that did you?" He cocks up his brow at me along with his chocolaty eyes staring me down, I huff and grab him by the scruff of his neck.
"Fuck with my captive again, and you'll know about it." I pulled him close and shoved him away, I turn to see Bruno's eyes facing me with disappointment, but like I cared to know his judgement.
I walked up the metal stairs only to feel Bruno's rough hand pat my shoulder, forcing me to turn around and face him.
"That was a bit uneeded, no?" He rolls his eyes and I scoff.
"If you're here to judge you might as well go back downstairs." I shake his hand off of my shoulder and walk off to the darkness of the gym.
I look at the boxing bag swinging in front of me and already begin to launch my fist through it, fighting it off, pushing it away will all of my strength. I looked at my watch and it was one o'clock in the morning now, there is simply Nessun riposo per i malvagi. [No rest for the wicked]
I feel was the sweat sweeps through my white T-shirt, causing my body to stick to the fabric and show colouration.
"Non avresti dovuto attaccarlo, sai?" [You shouldn't have attacked him, you know]. The soft voice broke through my thoughts and caused me to sigh. I knew what she was trying to say, but because she wasn't fully Italian the accent wasn't strong, the words weren't said correctly.
"I think Italian is one language you should definitely practice on." I chukcle at her and watch as her eyes drift town towards my tight abs. She could see my skin colouration through the shirt now that the sweat has run down. I lightly cough and watch as she suddenly crosses over her arms and gives me daggers with her sapphire orbs.
"What?" She asks, I look at her and can't help but chuckle once again.
"Go back upstairs, Zaffiro." I roll my eyes and turn back to the bag which is still hovering over the floor, swinging slowly from the absence of my fist.
"You shouldn't have attacked him I said." She said sternly, I turned around once again and walked closer and closer to her, watching as she eyes up my facial features as if she is some sort of Leonardo da vinci ready to paint my portrait.
"I know what you said Zaffiro." I ran my fingers through my hair and caught the remaining sweat and looked back at her, "I simply chose not to listen to you." I released a fake smile and watched as she stood there blankly.
"Then why did you?" She asks again, not shutting her little mouth up.
"Your voice is getting on my nerves, I suggest you just go back upstairs and back to bed."
"I would've been able to if I wasn't woken by the commotion made by, oh, of course... You." She folded her arms once more and decided to walk away. I watch her from behind as she storms off like she didn't get what she wanted. Maybe she didn't, but I certainly did.

It was already mid-day, the night I had was absolutely awful, hearing Dante shout and crashing going on downstairs, Alessia shoving her feet in my face and moving around all night. She must've been unsettled.
But I had already called my mother and asked how she was getting on, she didn't think much was going on, but that was what I wanted her to believe. No matter what, her grand-daughter was definitely safe.
I dialled Jay's number only to be hung back on and a text message a few minutes later stating that Jay was too busy to see how his mission was going, for all he knew I could be dead, he hasn't heard me for awhile and I thought he'd mind after last time, clearly not. I glance around my bedroom and watch as Alessia is drawn to the TV, I want to feel bad for the lack of interaction that she has received today but sometimes it can't be helped, plus she is happy, and that is all that matters.
I scrolled through my contacts one last time and see Maya's name luminating my screen, I click ring and place the phone close to my ear, listening the the sound ringing.
"Where have you been? I've been so worried, I've even printed off missing person reports and was about to hand them into the station." I hold in the chuckle and take in a deepΒ breath before replying to her.
"I'm sorry, but I'm safe, Alessia is safe. But it's just hard to contact people at the moment, especially with the likelihood of people gaining my location." I sigh and listen as I wait for a response.
"I miss you guys, when do you think this mission will be over?" Guilt consumes me as I have no idea with what the answer may be, I don't know how long I'm stuck in this mansion known as hell, so I simply say "It's complicated."
"Just keep yourselves safe please." Maya pleaded me, I knew she missed us and wanted us self but I need to reassure her now, joking or not joking.
"It's not difficult Maya, I'm who I am and we're in a houseful of mafia men." I chukcle as she chuckles along with me, but our conversation is cut short when a knock on the bedroom door arises.
"I've got to go Maya, I'll talk to you soon." She repeats the goodbye and I place the phone onto the bed, forcing myself up to answer the door.
I open it widely and watch as the chocolaty eyes look down at me with sympathy and guilt, I stare up to his messy hair and watch as it has been untouched.
"Rough night?" I ask and throw in a wink, but there was no chuckle released from his lips.
"What's wrong Draco?" I look at him and he takes in a deep breath, he runs his fingers through his messy hair which doesn't even tame it, I stare at him and watch as his lips part.
"I'm so sorry I put your lives in danger, I had no idea I swear." I look at him and run my hand along his arm and encourage him to look at me.
"It's fine, try not to a panic." I smile at him and continue, "You weren't meant to know."
"Can I do that day again? But maybe somewhere else?" He chuckles and I nod. Alessia ran out of the bedroom door and pushed past Draco, I looked at him and apologised for the sudden burst of energy and began to shout down the hall.
"Alessia, where are you going?" I watched her turn herself around and shot back, "To go play with Violetta."
I chuckle and watch as Draco stands awkwardly with his hands on the back of his neck.
"I'll see you later then, and we'll arrange another day." I smile and nod.
Watching Draco walk down the hall only gave me encouragement to go and see what Alessia and Violetta are both up to.
I knock on Violetta's door and watch as she plays with my daughter with princess dolls. I find myself smiling and feel a sudden warm presence behind me.
"Cute aren't they?" Sofia asked and I nodded in agreement.
"No!" Shouted Alessia.
"ti prenderΓ²!" The fluent Italian raged off of her tongue, her Italian was almost as good as mine.
Alessia cocked up her eyebrow and looked at Violetta before asking her the most innocent question, "What does that mean?" She asks beautifully.
"Do you not speak Italian?" Violetta asks not with pressure, but with pure kindness. My daughter shakes her head and Violetta smiles at her explain to her that it meant 'I'll get you' I watch as they play around and begin to chase one another. But the door soon burst open and a female voice suddenly shouts up the hall.
"Bambinaia!" [Nanny] Violetta screamed and ran down the stairs, we all began to follow and saw such a stunning lady, she looked as if she was in her early 70s, her eyes were a beautiful blue colour which illuminated in a smile as soon as her eyes hit on Violetta.
"Hello Vi, how are you?" She asks in Italian and smiles at her.
Her eyes glance up and lay on mine, her smile doesn't fade, even though she doesn't know who I am, her smile still stays put. Only to see my blonde beauty standing next to me, holding my hand and waving at her. The blue eyes of the newcomer stay put onto my daughter, full of curiosity and wonder.
Both Dante and Bruno walk into the room to stare at the elderly woman in front of us.
"Hey nan." Bruno says and pulls her in for a tight hug, only to receive one a few moments later.
"What are you doing here so ealry?" Dante cocks up his brow and the smile suddenly wipes away. The wonder washes over me to why she is suddenly full of sadness. Something has happened. But what?
