The sunshine beamed through the blinds which made my eyelids blink rapidly, I open my eyes fully to notice Alessia's foot close to my face, I almost chuckle. Having children isn't what it is in the movies, where everything is so 'normal'. But having a child is so much more than that. Having feet in your face is definitelyΒ  the normal, the process of having a child is completely different from films.

I slightly sit up without moving or waking Alessia, I wrap the dressing gown around my body that Sofia had given me which only encouraged the warmth of my body to stay.

Walking out of the bedroom was what I thought would be difficult, but it wasn't Alessia still was lying on the bed with her feet facing the headboard.

It was seven o'clock in the morning and it seemed everyone else was still asleep, I was grateful and walked down the stairs–holding onto the banister for extra support for my half-asleep body.

I make my way to the kitchen but suddenly see the brown sleepy hair and the untidy shorts that were full of wrinkles. The top half of the body was bare, and I was thankful to only see the back of it. I coughed lightly to make my presence known and watch as the man turns around, to my suprise the blue orbs stare at mine, painfully.

The messy brown hair looks even worse when I'm staring at the front part of their body, my eyes suddenly examine down and notice the stunning painted body before me. I take a large gulp and Dante finally breaks the silence.

"Done staring?" He huffs in question and I nod, walking towards the mug cabinet and taking one, I began to pour the dark liquid into the mug and add several sugars.

"Who adds sugar in coffee?" He asks, almost with a small chuckle waiting to be forced out. But it doesn't, it stays hidden away from my eardrums. After all, who could make Dante Russo laugh?

I suddenly feel the tug on my dressing gown and find my little mini me standing next to me, rubbing the excess sleep from her eyes.

His eyes widen and his brow raises as soon as he sets his vision onto Alessia, I stare at him and force Alessia to the side of me, I don't trust Dante at all, he'll probably make an awful conversation with my daughter about guns. Which is not what I want.

But he rolls his eyes at me, almost calming the shivers that erupted all through out my body with worry. "Don't panic blondie, I'm not going to hurt her."

"Who is she to you anyway?" He raises his brow at me with curiosity, and this is where my anxiety heightens once again, I hold Alessia's hand tight and look back up to meet Dante's orbs, the blue orbs that are suddenly pale.

"My daughter." I gulp and notice his Adam's apple bobble up and down.

But he walks away, with no words, not even a small breath being released.

I begin to shout after my brother, raising my voice louder and louder.

"Bruno!" I yell once more, only to see the smart looking brother of mine head towards me with an eager look painted all over his face.

"What Dante?" He crosses his arms over one another and takes one look at me, but I nod for him to follow me into the entertainment room.

He closes the door behind him and re-positions himself into the arm folded position.

"You brought her child here?" I question, calmly.

"Dante–"

"–No, don't Dante me, you invited her child round our home, to stay, to sleep... Yet you didn't even ask for my permission." I huff and continue, "First it's hireing the woman in the first place, now you're inviting her child over." I roll my eyes and he stands still, showing no remorse.

I walk up and down with my hands shoved into my trouser pockets and avoid eye contact with my so called brother.

The blood is already boiling around my body, causing me to become annoyed and irritated.

"Bruno, are you seriously not going to say anything?" I question him, throwing it at him, demanding an answer.

"She's safer here Dante." He lets out a deep breath. "You know the child is safer in our protection than her grandmother's. Might I add, we have also kidnapped practically, the daughters mother." He stands straight with his now in his pockets, I take in a breath and find myself rolling my eyes. Not controlling how I'm feeling inside.

"Come with me." Bruno suggests, I wait a few seconds for Bruno to say more, but it's too late, he's already walking away up the metal stairs and holding the door for me. I scoff and finally find the determination to walk up those small stairs and follow my brother out of the entertainment room, only to be stopped a few meters away to face the garden.

The day was hot, sunny. I looked out and watched as Luna's daughter was playing with Violetta as if they had been friends ever since they were younger. And of course, the mothers were chatting away as if they've always been best friends.

"See, they fit in fine." Bruno chuckles and begins to walk away grabbing a coffee, black with one sugar.

"I need a drink." I muttered below my breath, but Bruno stares at me holding up the coffee mug, not that kind of drink that's for sure.

I decide its best if I walk out of the house and get into the range rover, I start the engine and begin to roar down the road, the emotions are all over the place, I don't know if I agree with them staying here, either way I will have multiple people jumping down my throat.

I take a turn and head to my favourite bar in the town, it's only just hit the afternoon and I'm already planning to have a drink, unsure to whether it's the right choice or not. But do I care? Of course not.

I pull up and get out of the rover, slaming the door behind me and locking it. I open up the door widely to reveal multiple people already sat around drinking, but probably only one.

I glance over to the bar and already see the familiar blonde hair, spiked up to style. His head turns and faces the direction to where I am standing, tall and firm.

I walk on over to where he sits, and glance down to his left hand where his wedding band still sits tight around his ring finger, yet the expression on his face and the whiskey glass in his hand says completely different.

I pat on his shoulder and take a seat next to him, ordering the waitress to fetch me my drink. The usual, of course.

"Now what brings you here in the afternoon?" I question him with a slight chuckle at the end of my words.

"Well." He chuckles along and brings the rim of the glass close to his lips and removes it a few seconds later after devouring the poison. "Where do I begin?"

"Ah, Enzo. My cousin still causing trouble I see?" I cock up my brow and thank the waitress for my drink, only to see the multiple ice cubes that are filling most of the cup, nevertheless I take a sip anyway, feeling the sensation burn down my throat.

"You could say that." He looks at me and has a large smile imprinted across the whole of his face, Arianna had always been a problem child, in my opinion anyway. However, when we we're all younger it was always Bruno who used to piss her off, oh how the roles have changed since then.

"She's annoyed with me." He chuckles slightly, but then his lips form into a straight line, not budging for the whiskey.

"I would say that's my cousin for you, but I think it's a woman problem in general Enzo." I chuckle and finish the whole of my drink and instantly order another one. Arianna and Enzo have been together for eight years now. How he's put up with her I don't know, but what I know is that he needs a medal that's for sure. And from what I know, there is thankfully no baby on the way.

"Why did you piss her off so much then? Must be bad as you're drinking in the day."

He hesitates but then speaks up. "I just, I don't know, she's been so low recently and anything I do pisses her off, so it's just best to stay out of her way." I nod I'm agreement.

"Well, we have a new visitor at the mansion for quite some time, maybe Arianna should come over and keep her company."

He chuckles and looks at me with a face full of confusion. "A visitor?" He questions, "A her?" Another question, I nod and watch as a smirk finally creases onto his face, but I roll my eyes.

"Not what you're thinking Enzo, she's a nightmare." I drink the whiskey and feel Enzo's eyes still daggering onto mine.

"Bruno hired a woman for assistance, little did he know she's fucked everything up and only had us close the office down." I scoff "Well, I say us, the police had to."

"And Bruno has kept her at your house I presume?" I nod and watch as Enzo chuckles but then his face turns serious, which only encourages my mind to wonder on what he is thinking, what he will ask.

The vibration runs through my thigh, causing my body to startle instead of my mind. I shake my head and huff, I stare at Enzo who is drinking the rest of his whiskey, probably eavesdropping on what this call is about.

I answer the phone and place it close to my ear, only to hear a stern male voice at the other end of the phone.

"Hello, is this Mr Dante Russo?" The voice questions and I reply.

"I unfortunately have some bad news."
