The smoke grew nearer and nearer then the smell finally reached the top of my nostrils. The cigarette smoke was overpowering and disgusting.

"Who's there?" I ask with the shakes within my voice, how I'm a officer sometimes I'll never know.

"Luna, how's the mission going?" Jay questions me, why is he here? I take in a deep breath and control the shakes within my body, only to feel nervous with the fact I'm only a few minutes away from possible gang members.

"They're all inside, do you really think it's wise that you're here?" I question and cock up my brow. He flicks the cigarette bud away from him and stamps on the floor with his large black boot, destroying the evidence.

"Don't be scared Luna." He mocks. "Anyway, any evidence yet?"

"Not yet, everytime I try and find something it's almost like they know." I sigh and stay seated at the bench with my hands covering my knees.

"I need that information Luna, your time is running thin." I look at him with disgust.

"Jay, I told you. If you didn't want me to do it at my pace, maybe you should've got someone else to do your dirty work." I stand up and sigh, I begin to walk away but my thoughts pull me back.

"I'll get the evidence when I can." I walk away from Jay leaving him in the pitch-black alleyway.

I continue to walk until I bump into a barrier.

"I'm so sorry, I came to check on you, you were gone for awhile." Sofia's voice is soft and caring, it almost sends doubts through my mind about this whole gang situation.

"I'm fine, I just needed a lot of fresh air." I chuckle and she joins in too.

We make our way back through the restaurant doors and find everyone still talking amongst themselves and joking around.

Holding the whiskey glass in my hand didn't feel foreign at all. This was a regular daily routine now. I stare out of the window and witness the lack of stars that try and brighten the dark sky.

"Hello?" Ray's voice pulls me out of my thoughts and shakes me around, forcing me back into the world of reality and evil.

"Che cosa?" [What] I state, knowing that he was probably talking to me but I was too distracted with my thoughts emerging in my mind constantly.

"What is up with you at the minute? You're all over the place." He rolls his eyes and finishes the remaining liquid which sat still in his expensive glass.

"Just stuff." I state, giving the smallest answer possible.

"Stronzate." [Bullshit]

"You're lying to me Dante, tell me what's the problem, otherwise it'll never get solved." I roll my eyes at him as the lecture begins.

"Look Rayโ€“"

"โ€“For fuck sake Dante!" He slams his fist on the table and looks at me with fury in his eyes.

"Fine." I take in a deep breath, "Just Bruno, my father, this gang shit, everything is shit at the moment Ray and I don't know what to do." I announce, probably releasing too much information than what I wanted to give. I roll my eyes and already feel like punching myself in the face.

"What's Bruno done?" He cocks up his brow, I almost chuckle to myself. What hadn't Bruno done is the question.

"Hired some blonde to assist us, even though Justin thinks she's dodgy." I look at him and his brow is raised with curiosity.

"Do you think she's dodgy?"

"I don't know, I think everyone is, but I've been avoiding her, she gets on my nerves with everything she does." I take my head in my hands and rub my temples. "Justin even caught her in Bruno's office, apparently she was meant to be there. But why would Bruno let her go in there alone? We hardly know the woman." I sigh and Ray nods in agreement, placing his hand on my shoulder.

"Lets not worry about any of that shit tonight, let's have fun, drink and play darts." He chuckles. "I mean, you didn't exactly attend the business get together now did you?" We both chuckle and chug down our fourth glass of whiskey, letting the sensation attempt to burn down our throats, but fail in the process. We've drank it too much that we're now numb to the pain.

It's been one long week since Luna has started and I still don't trust her, especially with Justin running back to me every five seconds to say she's suspicious. I finally take in a breather away from his mood swings and lay peacefully back into my chair. I've been avoiding the office all week on and off, but I've got to come in, I can't keep hiding.

A knock ruins my peaceful moment and I take in a deep breath, trying to prepare myself for whoever is behind that door. I swear if it's Justin I will probably have to strangle him myself.

"Come in." I say with a sigh but witness the appearance of Cameron. The relief washes over my body as well as my mind and now I can finally put myself at rest. Justin has nothing to report today.

"โ€“Boss!" Justin's voice runs through my office along with his masculine body, he pushes Cameron out of the way and I'm already dreading whatever is about to fall from his mouth. I roll my eyes and almost pity Cameron for Justin's behaviour, but like I can solve that for fuck sake.

"Yes Justin?" I cock up my brow, preparing my mind for whatever trash he has to say now.

"She's been pacing around boss, watching Bruno closely, they're too close boss... There's a problem." I run my fingers through my hair with frustration and stand up tall.

"Justin, what can I do? I haven't noticed anything." I state and his expression falls aggressively.

"Fuck sake Dante, you haven't even been here to find out whats been going on, you've been too busy being a pussy about everything and shoving everything on top of Bruno!" As soon as that sentence finished my hands were up at his collar, tightly shoving him against the wall. Justin is a close friend of mine, but no friend speaks to me like shit to my face, nor behind my back.

"Is that a problem with you Justin?" I enquire, demanding a response. When I don't get one I thud his body against the wall even more aggressively then what I had done the first time. I hear Cameron try and talk me out of strangling Justin right here right now but his words don't stop me.

"Dante? What the hell is going on?" Bruno interrupts pushing me off of Justin, which only causes Justin to dramatically pant and process his breathing pattern.

"Doesn't matter." I state to my loving brother who seems to have so much time for me.

He looks at Justin and pats him on the back and instructs both Justin and Cameron to leave us be, brilliant... Another lecture.

"What? What is it now Bruno? Fed up with me piling shit onto you?" I cock up my brow angrily as the curiosity begins to wash over his face.

"I haven't said such thing, but maybe you should buck up your ideas. It's our business, we're brothers. Now grow a pair and grow up." He sighs and looks at me deeply.

"What's going on Dante?" He looks at me and takes a seat opposite me, trying to solve the puzzle in my mind.

"Like I know." I roll my eyes and find him doing the same, but only back at me.

"You're annoyed, I get that. But she's here to help us." He tries to reason with me, trying to make everything seem okay.

"Not what I keep getting told, but let me guess, Justin doesn't come to you now does he?" I ask and hear no response. Didn't think so.

"Justin doesn't trust blondie, he's got too much on her and I need to put my mind at rest... He's constant Bruno." I find my head in my hands and Bruno taking in a deep breath as he feels my frustration growing larger and larger, I'm about ready to explode, my anger, my thoughts... Everything is ready to let loose.

"I trust her Dante, but I suggest to put your mind at rest, maybe you should keep an eye on her with CCTV. We have installed cameras already but just never used them... Maybe that's worth a go and can give you closure?" I nod and listen to his words again in my mind, maybe this is what I need to do. Keep a close eye on her at all times.

My conversation quickly ends with Bruno as soon as he tells me my next step. I shut my office door and make way to the CCTV room, ready to keep an eye on our little friend.

I open the door widely and smell the old air wash past me, I already want to cough but I take a seat and activate all of the cameras in the building.

My eyesight scans through every single camera until I can spot her blonde hair, and with hope I do.

I watch closely as she types away at her laptop and opens up multiple files, highlighting them through and clipping certain pieces together. I sigh and continue watching until anything else happens. I'm just not sure how long I'm going to be in here for.
