The sun was shining brightly through the blinds, I watch as the small breeze begins to blow the leaves off of the trees. I sigh and take in a deep breath as realisation hits. It's early and my daughter isn't here, I knew I'd need the interview so it was easier if I let Alessia have a sleep over at my mother's.

I glance over to the other side of me to watch my phone vibrate on the foot stall, I sigh and take in another deep breath when I read the name 'Jay'.

I pick up the phone and hold it close to my ear.

"Ah, Luna Driver! Are you ready for today?" He questions maliciously, I'm definitely not. I haven't been able to mentally prepare myself for the day ahead.

I sigh before replying to his stupid question. "Ready as I'll ever be."

I took one last look in the tall mirror which almost looks as if it's empowering over me, I watch as my long navy pencil skirt reaches just below my knees and hugs tight at my hips. I finally tuck in my white blouse and prepare myself for the interview. I would be lying if I didn't say I was nervous. Because I was. Extremely. The sweat was already forming on my skin even though I had a shower only a few moments ago, it was cold, fresh and allowed my muscles to loosen up.

I couldn't think of anything worse than this, coming face to face with possible gang members, it's not something I've ever had to deal with, something I never thought I would have to deal with either.

I take in a deep breath and inhale the fresh air which has only come through the window seconds ago, but like I've noticed. I've been too distracted with my appearance to notice the things going on around me.

I open my front door and lock it tight. Travelling to my car seemed easy, even if I'm wearing four inch heels, I look at myself in the window of the car and already feel like bursting into tears, here it goes.

I unlock my car and take a seat in the drivers position, I'm dreading this. All I could think about was Alessia, I don't want anything bad happening to her if I don't make this out alive. Let's just hope I get this job and get this all done and over with, so the Russo brothers can be put to prison once and for all.

I arrive in front of the large building that stands tall over me, it was overbearing and made me feel so small. I closed my car door and took in a deep breath, my anxiety has been all over the place, I was in two different minds on my way here. Leave, turn around... Or carry on, this is for Alessia. If I hadn't noticed the second option hooked me more.

Memories from Alessia yesterday lodge in my mind as I watched her play with little bricks and showed me how she made a flower. I gave her a hug and said goodbye to her so I could do this today.

I shake the memories away and try to focus, I head to the lift and press the fifth button, soon after my demand the lift went up suddenly. I took large breaths in and out until I reached the destination.

The doors open wide and the light instantly hit me. The office area was such an open space and full of glass. The furniture was all black and white along with pops of red. The red roses sat beautifully within their black pots. I looked around and saw a few men coming my way.

One drifted away from the other leaving the one by himself, he walked towards me with a large smile painted onto his face, his hair is midnight black and is all slicked back with some sort of gel. His orbs are pale and look at me sharply. He was definitely a tall, dark and handsome man.

"Afternoon, I'm Draco, you must be?" He raises his brow as he speaks, his voice is deep, I look at him and feel overwhelmed with his height. He's wearing such a tight white buttoned shirt it looks like the button will burst any moment... And those arms–Are just so muscular.

"I'm Luna." I say and a smile begins to form on my face, the smiles are contagious as I receive one back from Draco.

"What can I do for you today?"

"I'm here for an interview for the new assistant position?" I question, almost confused with what I'm saying. He nods his head with agreement and looks at me.

"Follow me." I nod and follow him, we pass through the halls and we are faced with multiple doorways with names on them. I read the first one which says. 'J. Adams' I raise my brow but the door suddenly opens wide, leaving a gush of wind to sweep past my cheek, if I wasn't a officer I would've jumped out of my skin.

"Draco." He says and releases a small smile, but his eyes dart down to me and the smile suddenly disappears.

"This is Luna, she's here for the interview." Draco announces. He looks down at me and nudges me to talk to the person who is standing strongly at the doorway. His hair is blonde and spikey and his eyes are dark, almost a dark chocolaty brown.

"Right." He adds, before waving goodbye at Draco but shutting the door in our faces.

Draco and I turn to see other offices that look similar to the one we had just seen and we begin walking with one another.

"Don't mind Justin, he's not very good with... People I suppose." Draco let's out a small chuckle and I chuckle along with him.

"I can see that." I reply and Draco looks at me and smiles once more. His facial hair is so neat it almost looks like it was done by a professional.

We stand in a large room which is connected to other offices. We wait patiently before Draco turns to me and smiles.

"Stay here and take a seat, I'll go find one of the brothers." I nod and he leaves me in the room alone, I take a seat on the leather chair and I feel my legs wanting to stick to them.

My gaze looks around the office place and watch as multiple people fill up their mugs with the hot liquid coming from the machine, I'm assuming water as others grab tea bags before hand or a spoonful of coffee.

My attention was pulled and I still stay sat here patiently waiting, but Alessia enters my mind again, I just want to hug her, squeeze her and tell her how much I love her, how much she means to me. But I'm doing this for her, for us.

A few moments pass and Draco emerges from the office which sits very close to the seats, I smile at him and see another gentleman standing behind him in a grey suit. I take a large gulp as I fear of who it could be. My blood goes all warm and my palms begin to get clammy.

"Luna Driver?" His voice speaks and his Adam's apple moves, he smiles and reveals his straight pearly teeth. I give a smile back and stand up and check that my skirt is down.

"Yes, that's me." I announce and he opens his office door wider.

"Please, come in." I nod and give my last smile to Draco before heading into the office.

My eyes gaze around the spacious office and notice the white walls, it was beautifully done and it made the office look much more open. The decorations were grey with hints of black which only made it look up to standard along with a modern taste.

"So. Miss Driver, please take a seat and we may begin." His voice directs me and tosses me an order, I obey and sit on the black leather chair, he on the other hand sat opposite me and pulled up documents on his computer.

The blood was rushing around in my body it was almost difficult to contain myself, I could feel little droplets of sweat run down my back I felt awkward and nervous. He must be one of the Russo brothers. A part of me wanted to leave this whole building and say sorry this was a mistake, but the bigger part of me knows I must continue. Not just for my sake, but for Alessia's as well.
