❝You're my mission!❞

    𝐁𝐔𝐂𝐊𝐘 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐓 the Shield pilots that were supposed to be Steve's air support. He killed them all before he quickly got into one of the jets and flew off.

Pierce spoke up again still watching Ana, “Disabling the encryption is an executive order, it takes two Alpha Level members.”

“Don’t worry, company’s coming”,
Ana assured him as she still stood by the computer.

Just then a big helicopter appeared outside and landed on the roof. To Pierce's surprise Fury stepped out of the Helicopter and slowly enter the big building.

“Did you get my flowers?”, Pierce asked Fury immediately but Nick just looked at him coldly. The man gave him a blank look, “I’m glad you’re here, Nick.”

“Really? Cause I thought you had me killed”, Fury answered him while walking towards the man.

“You know how the game works”, Pierce told him honestly as he shrugged.

“So why make me head of Shield?”, he asked the man, not understanding this decision. “—'Cause you’re the best and the most ruthless person I ever met”, he explained to Fury coldly.

Nick looked at him and answered as well coldly, “I did what I did to protect people!”

“Our enemies are your enemies, Nick”, Pierce explained calmly looking at Fury. 

“Disorder, war. It’s just a matter of time before a dirty bomb goes off in Moscow, or an EMP fries Chicago. Diplomacy? Holding action, a band-aid. And you know where I learned that; Bogota. You didn’t ask, you just did what had to be done. I can bring order to the lives of seven billion people by sacrificing twenty million. It’s the next step, Nick, if you have the courage to take it.”

Fury looked at the man infront of him and said, “No, I have the courage not to.” After that Fury took Pierce to the retinal scanner with Ana who pointed her gun at him.

“RETINAL SCANNER ACTIVE”, the S.H.I.E.L.D Computer spoke up. “You don’t think we wiped your clearance from the system?”, Pierce asked him amused.

“I know you erased my password, probably deleted my retinal scan, but if you want to stay ahead of me, Mr. Secretary—”, Fury removed his eyepatch and reveal his scarred dead eye.

“You need to keep both eyes open”, they both look into the retinal scanner with Fury using his dead eye.

“ALPHA LEVEL CONFIRMED. ENCRYPTION CODE ACCEPTED. SAFEGUARDS REMOVED”

Ana looked at the mobile device, “Done.— and it’s trending.”

Just then Pierce suddenly set off the pins he gave the council members, causing it to burn deeply into their sternums. Ana and Fury both immediately pointed their guns at Pierce.

But Pierce just looked at Anastasija and smirked. “Unless you want two inch hole in your sternum, I’d put that gun down.” But Anastasija didn't backed down, she still pointed her gun at him. 

“That was armed the moment you pinned it on”, Pierce explained to her still smirking.

Fury and Ana both reluctantly lower their weapons, “What a waste”, Pierce sighed while watching his Helicarriers get destroyed. 

“Are you still on the fence about Roger’s chances?”, Anastasija asked him. But Pierce ingnored her question, “Time to go, Councilwoman.

This way, come on. You’re going to fly me out of here”, he told Ana as he grabbed her by the arm harshly.

But as Pierce started to leave with her Fury spoke up again, “You know, there was a time I would have taken a bullet for you.”

Alexander Pierce stopped and looked at him, “You already did. You will again when—”

But in that moment Ana quickly activated her pin causing it to burn into her sternum.

This gave Fury the perfect opportunity to shoot Pierce, which he did, twice. The man fell to the ground and Fury quickly walked over to Anastasija, who was lying unconscious on the floor.

“Romanoff! Anastasija! Anastasija, come on!”, he said to her as he shook the young woman.

Anastasija slowly opened her eyes, “Ow—  Those really do sting”, she groaned as she looked up at Fury.

The man smiled as he helped her up and they both made their way outside to the Helicopter.

After they got into the Helicopter leaving Pierce behind to get squashed by a Helicarrier they immediately started to locate Sam.

Just then, one Helicarrier crashed into a dam beneath the Triskelion.

Suddenly Anastasija could hear Sam in her ear. “PLEASE, TELL ME YOU GOT THAT CHOPPER IN THE AIR!”

“Sam, where are you?”, Natasha asked him quickly as she sat next to Fury.

“41ST FLOOR, NORTH-WEST CORNER!”, he answered her shouting as he was still running away from the Helicarriers.

“We’re on it, stay where you are!?”, Anastasija informed him from next to Juliet.

Sam desperately tried to get away from the destruction the Helicarrier was causing, “NOT AN OPTION!”, he shouted back at her.

As the building was destroyed Ana saw Sam jumping out of the window as they flew their chopper in time to catch him.

Same flew into the Helicopter and was immediately grabbed by Ana, Juliet and Natasha.

He turned to Fury and shouted,
“41ST FLOOR! 41ST!”

“IT’S NOT LIKE THEY PUT THE FLOOR NUMBERS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING!”, Fury shouted back sarcastically.

“Hill, where’s Steve? You got a location on Rogers?”, Ana asked the Agent worried.

Inside the third Helicarrier, Steve helped Bucky out from being trapped under some fallen rubble. “You know me”, he told his old Friend.

Bucky lashed out at Steve in anger, “No, I don’t!”, he tried to punch Steve but he blocked it. “Bucky, you’ve known me your whole life!”, he said desperately.

Bucky hit Steve but Steve choose not to fight back, “Your name is James Buchanan Barnes”, he told him but
Bucky hit Steve again and screamed, “Shut up!”

Steve took off his mask and dropped his shield out of the Helicarrier. “I’m not going to fight you. You’re my friend.”

Bucky pushed Steve to the ground, “You’re my mission!” He then mercilessly punched Steve repeatedly across the face.

“You’re my mission!”, he repeated louder. “Then finish it”, Steve told him, Bucky hesitated held his fist up.

He looked down at his friend. “Cause I’m with you to the end of the line”, Steve said the same thing Bucky told him when they were young.

Bucky looked at Steve for a moment as if he was starting to remember. But just then the bottom of the Helicarrier fell sending Steve down into the river below.

A while later Steve woke up on the side of the River completely wet. He slowly sat up and looked around, Bucky Barnes had saved his life.

A week later Steve was released from the hospital and Natasha and Anastasija were being sworn in at a committee hearing.

"Do you solemnly swear to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth?"

"I do", she answered shortly, "Why haven't we yet heard from Captain Rogers?", the Committee General asked her curious.

She crossed her arm's looking at the man, "I don't know what's left for him to say. I think the rock in the middle of the Potomac made his point fairly eloquently."

"Well, he could explain how this country's expected to maintain its national security now that he and you have laid waste our intelligence apparatus", the General exclaimed looking at the two Russians.

"HYDRA was selling you lies, not intelligence", Natasha argued still looking at the man.

"Many of which you seem to have had a personal hand in telling", he said to her.

"Agent's, you should know that there are some on this committee who feel, given your service record, both for this country and against it, that you two belong in a penitentiary, not mouthing off on Capitol Hill", Scudder said to them seriously. 

but Ana just leaned forward and shook her head, "You're not going to put me or my sister in a prison. You're not going to put any of us in a prison. You know why?", he looked at her sceptical.

"Do enlighten us", he told Anastasija.

The Russian looked at him and leaned forward, "Because you need us.
Yes, the world is a vulnerable place, and yes, we helped make it that way. But we're also the ones best qualified to defend it. So if you want to arrest me, arrest me. You'll know where to find me."

The whole Committee was speechless as the women got up and quickly walked out of the room followed by her sister  Natasha.

Later that day Fury met Sam, Juliet and Steve on the cemetery, he was wearing sunglasses and hoodie.

The three were standing infront of his own grave, "So, you've experienced this sort of things before?", he asked the two men.

"You get used to it", Steve assured him, "We've been data-mining Hydra's files. Looks like a lot of rats didn't go down with the ship. I'm heading to Europe tonight, wanted to ask if you'd come", Fury asked the Captain.

"There's something I got to do first."
The dark skinned man eyed the young brunette infront of him, "And you little Troy?"

She shook her head at him, "You know  I always hated that nickname. And no, I got something else to do first too."

"How about you, Wilson? I could use a man with your abilities", Fury told him smiling.

The man shook his head at him, "I'm more of a soldier than a spy."

"Alright then", Fury answered before he shook Sam and Steve hands. "Anybody asks for me, tell them they can find me right here", Fury told them, he looked to his gravestone and walked away.

Just then Anastasija joined Steve and Sam. "You should be honored, that's about as close as he gets to saying thank you", she joked smiling walking towards them.

"Not going with him?", Steve asked her smiling walking towards her as well. "No", she smiled and shook her head,

"Not staying here?"

The russian looked at him, "I blew all my covers, I got to go figure out a new one", she smiled. "That might take a while", the Captain responded still a smile on his face. "I'm counting on it", she smirked.

They looked at each other for a while, before Ana said, "That thing you asked for, I called in a few favors from Kiev." She handed Steve a file and watched him as he read quickly through it.

"Will you do me a favor?", she suddenly asked him eyeing Steve carefully. Steve looked up from the file directly into her eyes, "Call that nurse", she told him. Over the last couple of days her past had haunted Anastasija again.

The Winter Solider had reminded her of the things she did in her old life and of the things she still had to clear up. She wasn't a good person and she definitely wasn't good enough for Steve Rogers.

"She's not a nurse", Steve told her smiling. "And you're not a Shield agent", she answered him.

"What was her name again?", Steve asked the women infront of him, looking down at the ground and the up in her face. "Sharon, she's nice", Ana told him, hidding the sadness in her voice.

They looked at each other again, there was definitely a moment. He smiled widely, Anastasija was the first who broke the eye contact, she took a step forward and softly kissed Steve on the cheek.

She looked at him for a moment  smiling as she stepped back. After that she turned around and slowly walked away. "Be careful, Steve. You might not want to pull on that thread", she told him with one last look back before she climbed onto her Motorcycle and drove of.

Steve looked after her as he sighed, "You should have told her", Juliet said from behind him.

Steve turned around smiling, "What?", he asked his friend.

"That you like her, if I were you I would take the chance", Sam told the Solider honestly.

Steve scoffed, "She dosen't like me that way", he opened the file, which was about Bucky and the information regarding his Winter Soldier transformation.

Sam walked over to Steve, "You're going after him?", he asked seriously.

"You don't have to come with me", he told Sam understanding. "We know", the man paused as he looked over the cemetery.

"When do we start?"
