A loud, masculine voice interrupted the tension in the air as the gym door slid open with a loud crack.

“SHUT UP! WHY ARE YOU GUYS BEING SO DAMN LOUD?!”

Everyone turned toward the source of the voice. There stood a man with spiky blond hair, pierced ears, and visibly veined hands. [Name] couldn’t help but be taken aback, her thoughts drifting as she examined him more closely. Oh my...

"Oi, Hye!" the man barked, but [Name] didn’t immediately respond.

"Oi! Don’t ya hear me?!" His voice grew louder, and with a sharp tsk, he rolled up his sleeves, clearly ready to escalate the situation. (he's joking)

[Name] snapped out of her daze, realizing she had zoned out. “O-oh, what? Sorry, I didn’t hear you,” she responded sarcastically, offering a mocking bow as though begging for mercy.

The man blinked, clearly caught off guard. "Ooh… It’s okay, I was just joking," he quickly stammered, a blush creeping up his neck. He hastily turned and ran off, his friend trailing behind him.

“Oi, Tanaka! Where are you going?!” his friend yelled after him as the two of them hurried outdoors.

[Name] let out a sigh of relief, then turned to Yachi. “Sorry, it’s getting late. My brother’s probably worried about me."

She eyed everyone in the gym, "It's a shame I don't get to know you all. Well, excuse me,” she said with a half-smile, already turning toward the door.

But before she could open it, someone on the outside yanked the door open with force, slamming it into her, sending her flying onto the floor.

“Wow, that hurts like hell!” she groaned, rubbing her head, when a larger hand suddenly placed itself over hers. The hand felt rough, definitely belonging to a guy. She looked up in shock, only to hear a familiar voice.

“Language, [Name].”

Her eyes widened. “Ooh, shit—”

“I will not repeat myself,” he said firmly.

[Name] immediately grew nervous, her deadpan expression replaced by an apologetic one. "Yeah, sorry, sorry..."

The gym fell silent, everyone watching the interaction in stunned silence. But before [Name] could speak again, the spiky-haired blonde boy, who seemed to be overly dramatic, burst into the conversation.

“Woahhh!!! The pretty girl has a boyfriend?!” He dropped to his knees, clutching his shirt dramatically, as though heartbroken.

"Nishinoya! shut up!" another voice chimmed in.

[Name] got up quickly, but her brother shushed her as he melted into the crowd in the middle of the gym.

Kaito approached the boy still on the ground and knelt to his level. “Listen here, petite boy. First, we’re not a couple. Second, she’s my sister. And the most importantly—she’s not looking for some romance-high school story,” Kaito said with a straight face, silencing the drama.

The boy, whose name seemed to be Nishinoya, gaped in disbelief, tilting his head in confusion. “Huh?”

Meanwhile, [Name] felt completely embarrassed by her brother's interference. She quickly slipped out of the gym, wishing she could just vanish.

'AAAA, this stupid brother, I swear!' she thought, running with her head down. She eventually stopped after hearing a distant yell from inside the gym.

“Woah there, chibi girl! Look first before you walk,” a rough voice called out. [Name] stopped in her tracks, recognizing the voice. She looked up to see her friends’ brothers—there were about four or five of them.

'Ya Allah, I’m thankful that you stopped me before I could trip,' she thought, dramatically faking tears while crouching and covering her face with her books.

"[Name], get up! You've got some explaining to do!" Kuroo called out with a smirk, while another friend playfully added, "looks like someone’s about to get punished."

Before she could respond, someone pressed the Nintendo button harshly.

"Darn it, stop being noisy, Kuroo. I’m trying to play the game, ffs," the calm voice of Kenma came, though his face remained composed.

[Name] pouted as her brother pinched her cheek, giving her a lecture. “I-it’s not even my fault—”

“Hear me first!” Kaito cut her off firmly.

[Name] groaned, finally giving in. “Fine, fine, but stop pinching my cheek! It’s already red!” To her surprise, Kaito let go, and they started walking home together.

As they walked down the hill, [Name] spotted a small shop and turned to her brother. “I’m going to get something,” she said, pointing toward the store.

Kaito nodded and told his friends to stop as he went to sit on a nearby bench with them. The sun was setting, casting a warm glow, and a gentle breeze swept through the streets.

[Name] entered the shop, greeted by the cashier who was resting behind the counter. “Welcome. Please feel free to take a look at whatever you’d like.”

After a while, [Name] returned with a strawberry shortcake, smiling to herself as it was one of the few snacks with a halal certificate. The cashier, watching her curiously, narrowed his eyes. “Is that all?”

[Name] nodded, her hands fumbling as she searched for her money in her bag.

Going out of the store, a soft yawn escaped her lips as she wiped her eyes, trying to peek over Kenma’s shoulder to see what he was playing. She froze as the screen displayed the large, red text: DEFEAT.

Startled, she quickly pretended she hadn’t been peeking.

Kenma, not fooled, sighed and turned toward her. “You wanna try?”

“I-I wasn’t peeking, I swear!” she defended herself, raising both hands in the air as if surrendering.

Kenma chuckled lightly. “Well, can I…?” [Name] asked shyly, her fingers fidgeting.

Kenma found her actions endearing and nodded. He handed her the Nintendo, and she eagerly took it. She slammed the button, clearly struggling with the Mario Kart game. Again, the dreaded DEFEAT flashed on the screen.

“Ugh, I suck at video games like these…” she muttered, pouting.

“Yeah, it’s obvious,” Kenma teased, making [Name] turn her head toward him with a look that said you were supposed to say something nice.

Kuroo, on the other hand, watched the scene with amusement. “Looks like both chibi are having fun, hm?”

“Shut up, Kuroo—” [Name] snapped playfully, but just then, Kaito stopped in his tracks.

As they said their goodbyes, Kaito gently placed his hands on [Name]’s shoulders, guiding her away from the group. He waved to his friends, “Thanks, guys, see you at the camp.”

"Huh? What camp?" [Name] asked, her tone filled with surprise.

“Oh? Kaito didn’t tell you?” Kuroo smirked, narrowing his eyes at Kaito, who immediately shushed him. “I, uh, will tell her soon…”

“We’re going to a volleyball camp. How about you join your brother, chibi?” Kuroo suggested with a smug grin, hands in his jacket pockets.

“Woah, really?” [Name] asked, her eyes lighting up. “That sounds awesome!” Kuroo nodded, a knowing smirk on his face.

Kaito looked like he was going to murder Kuroo, but at least [Name] was excited. "Well, doing a little favor for our dearest chibi wouldn't hurt, right?" Kuroo added with a wink.
