The Welcoming Ball

Illea, boy do I have a story for you, the welcoming ball sure was a welcome sight. The maids made a grand event, although it looked nothing like what our beloved Queen used to do. May she Rest in Peace, we all do miss her.

Speaking of death's I have inside news that one of the Selected lost her father many years ago. It seems that she is still haunted by his death, and was looking for guidance form one of the Prince's. If you are still grieving over something that happened years ago, why are you going to burden our dear Prince's with that? Miss Azelia Roseheart, that surely is a familiar name to most, she is a model after all. Who knew she was haunted by so many demons, may we have more information on this as time progresses. 

Miss Sophia McLaughlin also spoke to one of our Prince's, she basically interviewed him with the horde of questions she bombarded onto him, he definitely did not seem like he was enjoying the conversation. Miss Sophia also ranted to one of the Prince's about her family, apparently she has a step father that she does not like very much. These selected do seem to be burdened with their past so much that it is preventing them from focusing on their future. Is that the kind of Princess we need?

On the subject of Princesses, we saw Princess Alexandria in an over the top gown during this evening. She was definitely the center of attention, and this reporter questions if she should really be acting like that  during her brother's selection. She also seemed to spend quite a bit of time with Miss Adalia, they also disappeared at one point during the Ball. Princess Alexandria is going to have a lot of explaining to do to her father.

King Richard also gave a few statements about the evening, making sure that Illea needed to know the very small manners that most of the girls had, one of the ladies also didn't even curtsy when he entered the room. And although he had not stayed for most of the ball, just in the short time he was there he met quite a few people, and his first impressions had been made on the other girls who have entered.

Miss Iansa Salvatierra also spent quite a bit of time with the Princess, most of their time together having been spent outside on the balcony, Someone heard them speaking of the Princess spiking the punch during the ball, and that had definitely happened, most of the selected seemed to drink the punch, even with how much alcohol had been put into it. Some of the selected had become drunk as well, I hope that they didn't ruin their first impression with the Prince's.

Prince Dorian, being his usual self, spoke to quite a few of the selected, he even snuck off with Miss Alexandra Annesley, they went to the kitchen, and past that, no one knows what they had done together. Maybe something special was going on between them. Miss Alexandra Annesley is a three from our province of Angeles, she is also a writer, her and the Prince seemed to get along more than well, but could she be hiding something?

Prince Dorian could also be found having a very intimate conversation with Miss Khensani Novia Abara, they spent the evening talking, and even gave us quite the show, partaking in an elegant waltz. This selected is quite beautiful, could she have the looks of a future Queen? 

Miss Siya Persephone Sinclair was seen entering the ball extremely late, how could she have such bad attendence?  She did get the chance to talk to both of our Prince's during her lateness, and it is quite a surprise that she got the chance, since the ball was so near the end when she arrived. 

Miss McKenna Elise Watkins was noticed getting drunk through the evening with the spiked punch, even after being warned about it by Prince Dorian. She seemed very bland during the initial conversation, at least from what this reporter heard. Do we really need a Queen or Princess who is more concerned with alcohol than actually being herself? Or is she really just a bland person anyway?
