"If you already completed your nurse training, then instead of going to college you should start applying to hospitals. I'm sure they'll accept you in no time." Geto says, walking next to you. "I'm working at the Shibuya Hospital. I'm an assistant nurse as of right now but I'm still training to be a doctor."

You slapped yourself on the head, "I'm fucking stupid. You're right. I'm gonna be wasting my years if I apply here. This is why I love you." You grab his hand and smile at him.

He softly smiles back before it disappears as he looks down at your hand intertwined with his. "Yeah..."

"Can I ask you something, Y/n?" Geto asks you. "Have you ever felt anything towards me while we were serving?"

His question took you by surprise and it made you stare down at his hand. You let out a sigh before giving his hand a soft squeeze. "I did."

"Then what made you call it quits."

"All we ever did was hook up. It was never a serious relationship."

"I wanted it to be something serious though," Geto's voice sounded hurt. He wasn't going to cry but it did break his heart that you chose your relationship with Megumi over him. "You didn't even tell me about Megumi until I was done with my contract. Isn't that unfair to me? I thought you felt something towards me but you were only using me-"

"Using you?!" You interrupt him. You're the one who 'offered' to take my virginity. I just turned 18 at that time and you were 28, Geto.! If my stupid naive little mind would've thought about that-"

"Your brother sent you a letter." Geto interrupts you this time. "Yeah what I did was wrong, I can admit that. But it was consensual." He says, making sure to emphasize the last word. You read his letter didn't you? It had something to do with Megumi. He told you..."

You lean back into your chair and avoid eye contact with him.

"If you knew all along, why ask me to do this for you?" Geto asks, staring at his cup of coffee.

You didn't say anything but look to your right. Seeing two college students sitting by a window, talking and typing away in their laptops. Your heart was beginning to ache at the memory of reading Niko's letter. "Because I wanted to confirm it...I want to know if it was true."

"Y/n, all the signs are there! From what you've told me, of course he's fucking cheating on you!" He whisper-yells, but only loud enough so the two of you can hear.

Your eyes stared back into his and then moved down to the dog-tag necklace against his chest. "I don't even know why I'm telling you this." You start gathering your things, which was just your purse, and stand up to leave. "I should get going, I have somewhere to be."

He sighs, "You're gonna go see him aren't you?"

You check the time on your phone and see that Megumi sent a message an hour ago. To which it said that he was at work and that he'll be busy.

"Yeah, I am."

"Let me come with you," Geto gets up from his seat.

You raise your hand in front of you to stop him. "You really don't have-"

He grabs your hand, "Y/n, please." His eyes stare into yours, not too serious but serious enough to convince you. You look at your hands together and sigh, looking away. "Fine, let's go."



After parking your car in the visitor area, you and Geto walk inside the building called: Gojo Enterprises.

Megumi was originally working under Gojo before he started working with Toji in his construction business. But he took a break and was called back because of the lack of staff.

"That name sounds oddly familiar..." Geto mutters under his breath before laughing at the end of his sentence.

"Yeah probably because he's on the news 24/7." You say to Geto as you begin to talk to the receptionist. "I'd like to see Mr. Fushiguro please." The receptionist nods and begins typing on their laptop.

"No I knew that guy way before he became successful. We went to high school together and became best buds. After we graduated, we separated ways and drifted apart." Geto reminisces.

"I'm sorry ma'am but it looks like he's in a meeting with his wife right now. Would you like to schedule a time to come back?" The receptionist says.

"His wife?" You question them and look at Geto. "Did I hear wrong or did they just say his 'wife'?"

"I'm just as surprised as you are Y/n. You heard that right." Geto confirms your confusion. "Do you happen to know his wife's name?" He asks them, his arm leaning on the desk.

They nod and reply, "Nobara Kugisaki."

After hearing that name, everything around you froze. Your heart began to ache and your throat was becoming dry. You knew it from the start. The side-glances at each other. The texting at the same time. Exchanging a few words but not complete conversations when around you. You knew it this whole time. It was right under your nose.

"Ah, that's fine! Could we get a visitor pass then?" Geto interrupts your thoughts by speaking to the receptionist again. He noticed your change in behavior and wanted to take you out of there as soon as possible. But he had something planned up his sleeve.

After waiting a few minutes to get your visitor passes with your names on them, you and Geto sat down in the lounge. "Here." His hand reaches out to hang the visitor pass around your neck. He waited until the receptionist was gone and began. "Let's go." He grabbed ahold of your hand and quickly walking past the receptionist desk and through the halls.

His eyes scanned the silver-plated names on each door, looking for 'Fushiguro'. You didn't have the motivation to look for it or even bother. All you wanted was to go home. Not with the Fushiguro's but with your mom and brother.

"Found it." Geto whispers catching your attention. He stands near the corner to be not be seen in the window. He peeks inside expecting for the two people to be sucking down each others throats but it was the opposite. They were arguing.

It was muffled words but Geto could understand the gist of it. Megumi was seated behind his desk with an annoyed look on his face while Nobara was standing yelling at him.

"You're so ᶠᵘᶜᵏⁱⁿᵍ ˢᵗᵘᵖⁱᵈ! How could you ʰᵒᵒᵏ ᵘᵖ with her ᵏⁿᵒʷⁱⁿᵍ it was ᵍᵒⁱⁿᵍ to be your 'first time' with ʰᵉʳ?! I told you to be ᵐᵒʳᵉ ᶜᵃᵘᵗⁱᵒˢ and aware of yourself!" Some of her words were muffled by background noise which was hard to understand from Geto's point of view. But he understood everything.

"Could you shut the fuck up?!" Megumi raised his voice at her while sipping at his glass of alcohol. "I got caught up in the moment!"

"But she noticed it and brought it up to you last night. That's why you called me over to talk to you about it." Nobara sits back down and pours herself a drink. "and your dumbass wouldn't stop texting me...that's what gave it away"

You watch the whole thing with Geto. You didn't feel any sort of emotions towards the situation other than sadness. You couldn't feel guilty since you did the same thing Megumi did. You didn't deserve to feel heartbroken yet it made you question it. How long has this been going on? Was it right after you left to bootcamp? Or before you left.?

You take your phone out and start recording them through the window. The good thing is that there are blinds so you can use the small gap and record them. You need evidence to backup your "Caught boyfriend cheating" plan.

"I know that," Megumi sighs before adding on to their conversation. "But we haven't seen each other at all since we knew the day Y/n was coming back."

Nobara rolls her eyes at him annoyingly, "Yeah because I was avoiding you! Don't you get it?! We need to move on!" Her fists bangs on the desk out of anger. "If you don't love her anymore then just break up with her....I've already found my person anyway..."

Megumi's eyes perk up, "What..?"

"It's not your business so let's end it here, yeah?" She gets ready to leave before Megumi grabs her wrist and stops her. Which made you and Geto sigh in relief out of fear of getting caught in the hallway spying on them. You and Geto had to act like the two of you were talking to not make it seem suspicious from other people's perspective.

"If it's Maki, stay away from her."

Nobara yanks her hand away from him. "Are you fucking insane?!"

"She wouldn't be happy if she were to find out you betrayed her. Nobara fucking her best friend's boyfriend? Imagine that." He attempts to manipulate her.

"So you're blackmailing me now?" She scoffs. "Go ahead, but she wouldn't be happy that you cheated either."

You tap Geto's shoulder, "Okay I think we should go." You stop recording and drag him away quickly before getting caught by the receptionist who was still away. The two of you leave the passes on the desk and run out of the building.

A few minutes after getting inside your car, you see Nobara stomping out of the building angrily. Luckily your car was parked far enough from hers so she didn't notice your car.

"Now what?" Geto asks.

You sigh as you lean against your seat, "I don't know. The thing about Nobara passing as his 'wife' makes sense. It's so she can see him during work hours these past few years."

"Are you gonna break up with him?" He asks the question that you were thinking back and forth to.

You thought about it for a bit, "I'm gonna play along." You give him a light smile, to which he knew, you had something up your sleeve.
