THE TRAVELER KNIFE WAS GONE, AND SO WAS TYLER. They had no clue where he was because they had not heard from him in a day or so, but he told them that he had left the Traveler knife in the piano. Guess where it was! Not the piano. As Jeremy climbed up off the floor, he grimaced, "Ugh! Whose nasty-ass boxers are under the couch"

"Ew! If you guys and Tyler are going to rekindle your bromance in my house, then you have to keep your underwear in your freaking rooms!" Charlie exclaimed, her eyebrows cinching in disgust. She hated living with boys. There were some benefits when it came to Jeremy, but other than that, she despised it.

"Not mine. I actually do my laundry," Matt insisted, but either one of them was lying or they were Tyler's. Either way, she would not be the one to get them out from under the couch. The Donovan boy walked into the room with a sigh. "It's not in the floor safe."

Jeremy sighed as he checked every crack and crevice in the entire parlor. Charlie groaned and collapsed onto the couch. They had been searching all day, and she was convinced that it had disintegrated or something. "Or the kitchen cabinets or the garage or the bookshelves. The Traveler knife is gone."

"Are we sure Tyler hid it where he said he did?" Matt questioned, walking over to the TV and checking all around it and the thable the it was on.

Both of the teenagers shot him a look. If it was hidden where Tyler said it was, then they would have stopped searching hours ago because they would have found it in the first place they looked. Jeremy answered him in an annoyed voice, "Well, obviously not."

"Dingdong!" Damon shouted from outside. He waved at them through the window, but they all just stared blankly at him. Ever since Damon turned on them, like, four different times and tried to kill them, they had been very "Invite me in."

"We can hear you just fine from there," Charlie informed him, and she walked over to the window and smiled at him as he just glared at her. There was no way that she was allowing him into the house. They needed at least one safe space from him.

He rolled his eyes at her stubbornness, and she could tell that he was contemplating throwing a rock through the window at her. "Oh, I'm so sorry I interrupted whatever weird ritual you three were doing, but I just want to de-passenger the great citizens of Mystic Falls using your magical Traveler knife, so hand it over."

"That's gonna be a problem," Matt told him, and he and Jeremy froze from where they were searching behind Charlie. Damon was going to be livid if they lost the only think that could get the Travlers out of everyone.

"Five words that make me want to vamp-toss my keys into your chest cavity," Damon breathed out, and Matt took the opportunity to step behind the couch. It did not provide a lot of cover, but at least he could duck if he needed to. The Salvatore man shifted his eyes to the brunette boy. "Little Gilbert, help me in the fight against my dark side and elaborate, please."

Jeremy looked like he really did not want to be the one the tell the man that they could not find it, so, after a moment of silence between the four of them, Charlie was the one to speak up because she would like to see Damon try to hurt her. "We can't find it."

"As in you lost it?" he questioned, his eyes widening.

It was technically not their fault because Tyler claimed that he had hidden it in the piano, and it was not there. So, Tyler told them the wrong thing. Why he would do that, Charlie did not know, but she did know that he once lost a shirt that was on his body. So, he was not the most reliable person in the world. "As in it's not here."

"You're right," Damon responded, pursing his lips and shaking his heads at them like they were the biggest idiots in the world. "Don't invite me in because I will kill all of you. You know, Little Lockwoof, I expected this from those two losers, but I had higher hopes for you."

"Tyler said he hid it in the piano," Jeremy defended, and they had done everything but tore apart that piano looking for it.

Damon stared at them blankly because none of them had seen Tyler in days, almost a week. CHarlie figured that he was off somewhere, doing useless hybrid things or partying. He did that a lot and never called, but she was starting to think that it was something different this time. "And when was the last time you heard from Tyler?"

โ˜พโ„โ˜ฝ

"WE THINK TYLER'S WITH THE TRAVELERS," JEREMY INFORMED BONNIE. They had realized that maybe Tyler was not such an idiot after all, and maybe he told them that he hid the knife in the piano to keep them busy while he gave the knife to the Travelers. The chances were that one of the Travelers was inside him, which meant that they needed to find him pronto. "And we're stuck here because Damon said he'd twist off our kneecaps if we left."

"And they don't believe in my ability to stop Damon," Charlie added. Matt, who was in the other room, and her boyfriend had decided that the fact that she was a hybrid with the strength of a werewolf and a vampire and a bite that could kill Damon in a matter of a day was not enough for them.

Bonnie did not say anything though, and both of them noticed the weird look that she was wearing. Jeremy eyes her suspiciously. "Okay. You've got your super serious face on."

"Do I? In light of the Tyler thing, it's probably nothing, butโ€”" she started, but that was enough of a start for them to get worried. Whatever it was, it was bothering her, so she needed to talk about it with someone.

Charlie was quick to cut her off, wanting to know what was wrong so that they could do something about it instead of sitting there and doing nothing while she avoided the question. "Bonnie, come on. What is it?"

"This whole thing with the other side, I don't know what's going on, but if it does go away... Liv thinks there might be a way to save me, soโ€”" she was interrupted by the sound of her phone ringing, and she breathed out a sigh as she check who was calling. "Whew. Sorry. Hang on. It's Stefan. Hello?"

"Who are you with right now?" Stefan asked from the other side, and Charlie furrowed her eyebrows. She wondered if she should stop listening, but she was too interested to stop. Her superpower was a blessing and a curse, really.

Bonnie also looked confused, and Jeremy looked back and forth between the two girls, wondering what was going on. "Jeremy and Charlie. Why?"

"Because Enzo's dead, and I don't mean to put this on you, but Damon can't find out," Stefan informed her, and Charlie's eyes widened. She glanced over at Jeremy, but the Bennett girl caught her attention and shook her head. Why she did not want Jeremy to know, Charlie was unsure, but she respected her wishes and remained silent. "Bonnie."

"Yep. Understand." The Bennett girl hung up, and all of a sudden, her head whipped to the side, as if looking at someone that was not there. Charlie realized that that must be Enxo, getting ready to pass through.

Jeremy glanced at the two girls because something was clearly happening that he was not aware about. They seemed to be a whole lot less confused than he was. "Guys, what's going on?"

"Nothing. Just someone passing through to the other side, a werewolf or something," Bonnie responded, shaking her head and looking down. She finished talking about what Liv said, and despite Charlie's complicated history with the girl, she was starting to like her.

Once Bonnie left, the couple lied down on the couch and took a couple of deep breaths. Matt had gone out to get some groceries, leaving them alone. They were watching some show that was on that they were not really paying attention to, and his arm was around her. After a moment, he suggested, "You know, we should get away this weekend, have a little romantic day. We can go up to the Lake House."

"As amazing as that sounds, my brother has been taken by Travelers, remember?" she reminded him. They really needed to find Tyler, and she didn't think she could relax without knowing that he was going to be fine.

"Bonnie says that she can handle it, and Matt will be there to help her?" he said, trying to convince her. She was still hesitant. She hated to leave all of that on Bonnie with everything she had going on. He gave her his best puppy dog eyes. "We'll only be a call away, and we need this break. We're just gonna be just outside of town. We can be back here in ten minutes. Besides, there's not much we can do about the Travelers."

ย She sighed, and as he played with the hair on the back of her neck, she finally gave in. "Fine."
