CHARLIE WAS WALKING DOWN THE STREET ON HER PHONE. She was trying to get used to the fact that she did not have bangs anymore. She now felt like her huge forehead was just on display for everyone to see. Her bangs grew out for the most part, so she just got her hair cut.

She was about to text Jeremy, but, as fate would have it, when she looked up for a second, he was on the other side of the town square. She jogged over to him, trying her hardest to not look like a crazy person. He turned around when he heard footsteps behind him. "Hey."

"You changed your hair," he commented, gesturing to the fact that she did not have random long strands of hair in her face anymore. He pointed up to her now visible forehead.

"Yeah, my bangs were getting too long," she explained. She then paused for a moment before remembering her initial reason for wanting to talk to him. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

His smile fell, knowing that that was probably not good. Whenever anyone said that to him, he always had to go through every single bad thing that he had ever done and figure out what they would want to talk about. He doubted that Charlie was mad about the time that he stole a cookie out of the pantry when he was five, though. Still, it probably was not good. "Oh no."

"Calm down," she laughed out, seeing the panic on his face. She led him over to the bench near them so that they could sit down. That seemed to freak him out more because that mean that it was something they needed to sit down for. She glanced around a took a deep breath, wondering if she actually wanted to say what she was about to. "Okay, this is going to sound really crazy jealous girlfriend of me, and I am over the moon that Bonnie is back. But, you're the only one that she's been able to talk to for months, and she's back."

"Charlie..." he sighed, realizing what she was freaking out about, and he felt really awful for making her believe that that was even a possibility.

She just kept on rambling because she was honestly really desperate to explain herself because she was pretty sure that she sounded like a complete bitch at that moment. "And you guys dated, so there was a spark once."

"Charlieβ€”" he started, but he was just cut off again.

She knew that Bonnie was a lot more appealing than her because she was a cool witch that could do cool things. She was hotter and older, but she really did not want to lose Jeremy. "And she's a really hot college girl now, so I would get it if you want to leave meβ€”"

"Charlotte Lee Lockwood!" he shouted, finally interrupting her.

She shut her trap, a bit surprised by his outburst. She smiled slightly, trying to break the tension if there was any. "The full name is crazy."

"Will you calm down for a second? I'm not leaving you. In fact, if I ever leave you, I want you to shoot me in the head because I've gone crazy," he told her, causing her to blush and look down at her lap. He reached over and grabbed her hands with one of his while using his other hand to grab her chin and tilt her head back up to look at him. "I love you, Charlie, and nothing's going to change that."

She grinned in relief as she squeezed his hand, "I love you, too. I would offer to have you over, but Tyler is at home eating ice cream and banging his head against the wall because of Caroline."

"He's home?" Jeremy asked, surprised because he thought that the boy was off on his own adventures.

"I don't know," she replied with a shrug. When he arrived, he had muttered something about revenge, but then he just gave her fifty bucks and told her to get a crap ton of ice cream and chips. "I think he's leaving soon, but it'll probably be after he gets over the fact that Rory said no to Logan's proposal."

The brunette boy furrowed his eyebrows, unsure of what the hell what she was rambling about this time. "What?"

"Gilmore Girls," she clarified, remembering that he had yet to see the amazing show. She was going to have to force him to watch it at some point.

"Ah," he replied in realization, nodding his head slowly. He smirked then, pulling her closer to him and fighting the urge to kiss her right there on the bench in public. "We could always sneak back to my place."

"You mean, Damon's house? While we're at it, why don't we just have sex in his bathtub. Ooh! Maybe Katherine could watch?" She laughed at the idea while he shook his head and chuckled at her.

He reached over and grabbed a strand of her hair and twirled it around his finger as he stared at it for a second before returning his attention to her. "This hair, by the way, kind of hot."

CHARLIE CAME HOME FROM SCHOOL THE NEXT DAY. She walked in and was immediately hit by the overwhelming smell of cheetos and melted ice cream. He had finished Gilmore Girls, so now, he had moved on to ONe Tree Hill. She sighed and shook her head as she threw her stuff by the door. "You know, you're lucky you're a hybrid because you'd be rocking some breakup gut if you weren't."

"Okay, you can die," he told her as began picking up some of the trash that he had left. He had to lean around her so that he could see the TV. "Just because you're in a happy relationship, it doesn't mean that you can hate on us single folks."

"Well, it is kind of your fault that you're single," she commented, and she felt bad immediately afterwards. She had to defend her best friend because sisters before stupid brothers that wallowed, but he was really upset.

He rolled his eyes. "Kill yourself."

"What's up?" came a familiar voice after the sound of the door opening caused them both to glance over to the entrance. Jeremy stepped inside before sticking his copy of the key back in his pocket.

Tyler frowned, glancing to his sister in shock and confusion, wondering why the hell she gave her boyfriend a key to their freaking house. "Does he have a key?"

"I made a friend today," Jeremy informed the female, ignoring the older sibling in the room and reminding her of the mission that she gave him on the first day of school.

The Lockwood male shook his head and scoffe=d at how pathetic that sounded, as if he was not fawning over Lucas Scott at that very second. "Gilbert, the ghosts of old friends don't count."

"I'm proud of you," Charlie told her boyfriend after smacking her brother upside the head. He did not have to be so negative. "Who is it?"

"His name is Maddox, and we're playing basketball later," Jeremy answered, and he honestly felt like a five-year-old telling his parents that he had friends. It was better than being the kid that faked his death, though.

Tyler nodded, and he seemed to be going through his mind and trying to put a face to a name. Suddenly, his eyes lit up in realization. "Oh! I know him. It makes so much sense now."

"What does?" his sister questioned in confusion.

He grinned up at her, glad that she set the joke up for him so that he could poke fun at the Gilbert boy once again. He glanced over at the boy and stuck his tongue out at him. "Only that big of an idiot would be friends with Gilbert."

"How's the single life treating you, man?" Jeremy questioned, and he knew that he had won the fight when Tyler glared at him. The boy leaned in to kiss Charlie, and they both smiled into the kiss.

When they pulled away, the eldest in the room was staring at them like he wanted to absolutely murder them as he turned back around and continued watching his show. "Both of you can rot in hell."

"He's actually dating Chad Michael Murray in his mind," she informed her boyfriend, teasing Tyler, which was one of her favorite activities. "But aren't we all?"

"Hey, Charlie. You remember my hamster that you squeezed so hard that this eyes popped out?" Tyler questioned as Jeremy laughed. As soon as those words came out of his mouth, the Gilbert boy shut up and whipped around to look at his girlfriend in shock and horror.

Instead of denying it, she just shrugged and said, "Yeah." She remembered that day vividly.

"That's what I'm imagining doing to you right now."

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Here's a nice little cute chapter for y'all. I wrote this on Valentine's day which was a rly long time ago, but I'm just really feeling Tyler's pain right now. Well, except for the fact that he just got out of a relationship, but I was never in one. #livingthesinglelife #gonnadiealone
