CHARLIE BARELY HAD TIME TO PROCESS ANYTHING. The Travelers had taken over Mystic Falls before she could even grieve her brother, and they had made it so that any magic that was not Traveler magic would be destroyed as soon as it entered the city limits.

That meant no vampires, no werewolves, no witches, no hybrids, no nothing. Everyone was dealing with other things, but she had no idea what to do. So, she talked to Sheriff Forbes and asked if there was anything that she could do to help with the evacuation of the town.

Liz gave her a crap ton of pamphlets, and Charlie stood just outside the town sign and handed them out to people leaving so that they had ideas of places to go. She just blessed music so loud that she could not think and passed out the papers.

Once everyone was evacuated, the Sheriff came to meet her at the border. However, just as she got there, they spotted people, Travelers, walking down the road toward them and into Mystic Falls. Markos was standing in the middle of the road, his hands behind his back and smiling. He turned to face the two as he approached them, smiling smugly at them. "It is a good day, Sheriff."

"Maybe for you. It took us all night to evacuate the 10-mile civilian radius around the Town Square," Liz informed him, and Charlie removed her earbuds so that she could hear their voices better. She made her way to stand next to the woman just in case the men tried anything.

"Hmm. Gas leak. Very clever. I appreciate your cooperation," Markos told them, and then, he turned his attention onto the brunette girl who was standing there and glaring at him with her arms crossed. She could barely stand to look at him after what he did to Tyler, and it took everything in her not to break down right there. She told herself that she would not cry until everything was done and over with, although she was not sure when that would be. "And you, Charlotte. I especially did not expect you to be helping after the whole debacle with your brother."

The girl was scared about what she was going to say if she opened her mouth, so she kept it shut. Liz, knowing that the look on the young woman's face meant that she was ready to fight, continued the conversation before he could get under her skin too much. "It will keep our residents away for now but certainly not forever."

"I'm sure we can think of something if we put our heads together," Markos responded.

Charlie then looked over and noticed two men with shovels messing with the 'Welcome to Mystic Falls' sign, and she furrowed her eyebrows. "Why are they moving our sign?"

"Our desire was to end spirit magic everywhere. As you can see, we hit a snag," he said with a deep breath. "Nevertheless, this is our home now, and just to keep things simple, we've reset the official border of Mystic Falls to where the spell begins, right there."

Liz nodded slowly, wondering why the hell they had to choose their town out of all of the ones in the world. "Of all the small towns to call home, you probably shouldn't have picked one full of vampires."

"You think I'm afraid of vampires? Maybe you think your friend Damon or your daughter or this bitch can come save the day. Let me give you an example of why that would be unwise. Maybe two," Markos informed them, adding the last part after shooting a glance at the Lockwood girl. She wanted to lunge at him for his comment about her, but she was distracted by the sound of a car. A black van pulled up in front of them, and a man opened the door when it stopped. Another guy pulled someone out of the van, and Charlie's eyes widened when she realized who it was.

Tyler โ€” well, Julian โ€” had chains on his hands, and he was not looking so hot. The guys held Julian in front of the three people standing there. The young girl exclaimed, "Tyler!"

"Oh, that's not Tyler anymore. That's Julian, the Traveler who betrayed his people when he killed the doppelgรคnger and stopped the spell. A big, scary werewolf-vampire hybrid, and yet a little vervain, a touch of wolfsbane, and here you are โ€” weak and all mine," Markos chuckled out.

Tyler's voice was still his, but the way that Julian used it was different, weird. "You think you're some great leader because you pillage a helpless town? That makes you king now? Sorry, your highness, but I don't buy it."

"That's because you haven't set foot inside my kingdom," Markos replied, and Julian furrowed Tyler's eyebrows in confusion, and he clearly had not been informed about what the Traveler's did to the town. "The spell the Travelers cast across Mystic Falls eliminates spirit magic, so while my people continue to have access to the Earth's purest magic, your friend Tyler will be stripped of everything the witches did to him, first his hybrid side, then his vampirism, and with no vampirism to keep him alive, he'll just be a boy with a werewolf gene, who happened to break his neck."

"No," Charlie breathed out when she realized what they were planning to do to her brother, to his body. She was not letting him cross that line, and if he did, she was going with him.

"No, no! No! Don't do this! No! No! Stop!" Julian shouted, shaking his head. The men tried ot hold him tighter as he struggled to break free.

"Let him go!" Charlie ordered, but when they kept pushing him closer to the border, she as forced to take drastic action. She grabbed one of the Travelers and opened her mouth, allowing her fangs to protrude as she held them over his neck. "Let go of my brother, or he gets his head ripped off."

She had forgotten that they were technically witches as well, and she cried out in pain as her head suddenly felt like it was exploding. She gripped it tight and fell to her knees, releasing the man that she was holding.

"It's not your brother anymore," Markos informed her, crouching down above her. He brushed a piece of hair out of her face, and she wanted to punch him. The pain was too great, though.

He nodded at his friends, and then, they forced Julian to cross the city limits. She screamed as she tried to dive toward them, but she only made it a couple of feet. "No!"

"Charlie! Watch out!" Liz shouted, whipping out her gun, but it was too late. One of the men kept giving the Lockwood girl continuous aneurysms while two other men grabbed her. There was the sound of two gunshots. An arm released Charlie, but she shrieked when she saw Liz collapse to the ground as well, clutching her leg.

The man that let go of the hybrid was quickly replaced by another as she was flung over the border. She sobbed when she saw her brother's body lying there next to her, and she felt the powers of her vampirism slipping away. She blinked her eyes, and she felt them glow yellow as her fangs came out and then disappeared.

She heard Liz yelling, but it was muted, like it was coming from a distance. Then, her skin began to burn like crazy. She screamed in pain, and it felt like the worst sunburn ever. She felt her head began to move, and everything went black.

SHE AWOKE MOMENTS LATER ON THE OTHER SIDE. She looked around and noticed Tyler climbing to his feet. He rubbed the back of his neck, and she backed away slightly, thinking that it was Julian. That was until he looked at her, tilted his head in confusion and spoke, "Charlie?"

"Oh, my God, Tyler," she breathed out. It was him. Dying must have brought him back and kicked Julian out. She quickly jumped to her feet and dove toward him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him tighter than she ever had. He seemed extremely confused, but he hugged her back.

"What's going on? Why am I not in the cellar?" he questioned because that was the last thing that he remembered. Her stomach dropped when she realized that he did not know that they were dead. She was going to have to break it to them. "Charlie?"

Oh, my God. They were dead.

She froze for a second, processing the information. One second, she was handing out flyers, and the next, she was being thrown to her death across the border of her own town. Tyler's voice snapped her out of her trance. "Bonnie?"

"Tyler, is that you? Charlie?" Bonnie questioned, and Charlie head whipped around to see the Bennett girl staring at them with confused eyes. Then, realization set in. She looked over at the younger sibling who just nodded, confirming the Anchor's thoughts.

They were at Whitmore in the girls' dorm room, which was a long way from the cellar in the basement of the Salvatore house, especially if you blacked out in one place and woke up in the other. Tyler questioned, "How the hell did we get here?"

"You're dead, and you're you. Caroline was right," Bonnie breathed out when she realized that Tyler was back to his original self. Charlie wondered where the hell Julian went, then. Did he go back to his body or what? "Dying eliminated your passenger.

"We're dead," Tyler breathed out, looking over at his sister in shock as she nodded at him in confirmation.

Before either of them had a real chance to freak out or anything that they were freaking dead, Bonnie spoke up to reassure them that they were going to be fine. "But we can bring you back."

"And the list keeps growing," said an English accent, and they all looked up to see freaking Enzo standing there, smirking at them. Despite his smug look, he seemed annoyed at the fact that there were more people that Bonnie needed to save. He knew that she would bring them back before him any day.

Charlie rolled her eyes at the sight of him, not forgetting about the fact that he tried to kill her boyfriend. "Not that I'm not happy that you're dead, but can you get the hell out of here for a minute?"

"Jesus, love, you are feisty," he laughed out, and the smile on his lips made her want to lunge at him. He was dead. He had no right to act like that. What the hell?

Bonnie sighed, fighting to urge to roll her eyes at all of them fighting. She needed for the two siblings to pass over so she could handle the rest of the things going on and assure Jeremy that Charlie would be fine before he did something drastic. "I need you all to trust me, okay? Do you trust me?"

"Of course we do," Charlie assured her, and Bonnie extended her hand toward the two Lockwoods. They both grabbed her, and she winced in pain as they passed over to the Other Side.

The Other Side was a lot more boring that its Real World counterpart. She could not interact with anyone or do anything, and Enzo decided that the best passing of time would be to annoy the living crap out of her as they all made their way to the crypt where Bonnie, Liv, and Luke โ€” Liv's twin brother โ€” would perform the spell to bring them all back.

It turned out that a hell of a lot of other people had died as well, including Damon, Elena, Stefan, and others. Alaric and Lexi were also trying to pass through. They had no clue where said people were, and they just prayed that they would get to the crypt in time.

Once they reached the crypt and entered, Bonnie turned toward them immediately. She looked directly at Tyler and Charlie, and she ordered, "You need to come through."

"What about everybody else?" Charlie questioned. What if Stefan and Damon and Elena did not get there in time? What would happen to them? Jeremy would never forgive her if she just let his sister die there.

"Oh, for God's sake," Enzo groaned, and he grabbed her arm and placed it on Bonnie's shoulder, grasping the other shoulder with his own. She was so caught off guard that she could barely look back at Tyler before she passed through. Once they were there, he turned to her. "You're welcome."

"Charlie!" a voice shouted, and Caroline came running towards her and embraced her tightly, almost causing the brunette girl to fall over. She hugged her best friend back until they heard a sound. They turned around to see Tyler standing there.

Caroline gave her friend one last hug before heading over to the boy. The Lockwood girl would have been offended if she did not see a figure running toward her. She grinned as he stepped into the light. "Jeremy!"

"Charlie!" he greeted back, and he collided with her son after, skidding to a stop as he wrapped his arms around her. She laughed as he picked her up and spun her around before pressing a kiss to her lips. She gratefully kissed him back, but all of a sudden, she got a really weird feeling.

She pulled away and furrowed her eyebrows. He put her down and stared at her with a very concerned expression. "What's wrong? What's going on?"

"That felt weird," she answered, and she turned around to look at Tyler. The face that he was making told her that he was experiencing the same thing. She stepped away from Jeremy and looked around her for some sort of sharp object.

"What do you mean?" Caroline questioned, and Jeremy, realizing what the girl was looking for, handed her a sharp rock as Tyler found one for himself. The siblings each used the rock to slice their skin โ€“ for Tyler, his hand, and for Charlie, her arm โ€” and blood trickled out of the wound. What was peculiar was that the cut just stayed there for a good minute. Caroline breathed out, "You're not healing...

Charlie glanced at her brother before looking up at Jeremy with a shocked expression on her face as realization set in on his. She did not know whether to be relieved or upset, smile or frown. She breathed out, "We're not hybrids anymore."
