46 | The Butterfly and The Moth
If we're going down together, better take another hit
We won't be here forever so let's make the best of it
Chapter dedicated to: @hanabe09 and @khubanfatima thank you soo much and love love love you both!
<<raqeeba's p.o.v>>
"Told you he doesn't love you." Was all he said and before I know his hand grabbed mine as he dragged me away and out of the room pushing me through the opposite doors, switching on the lights.
And just like that my world came crashing down as I looked at the duo in front of me, theirs arms wrapped around each other.
"I love you, Anu." He said, "I love you too, Nuraan." She replied.
This couldn't have been better.
Pressing my lips together, I tried my hardest to hold back the emotions that rushed through my veins.
Don't do it. Don't do it. Don't do it. Were the only three words that I kept chanting in my head. My breathing becoming heavy the moment I felt Rudra leaning closer to me, his breath hitting the right side of my ear.
"Now that hurt, didn't it?" He whispered making me let out a small gasp.
Don't lose your damn character, Raqeeba! I thought sucking in a breath, opening my eyes as wide as possible, before raising my hands and clapping thrice at the lovers in front of me.
"Wow," I breathed out.
Almost immediately I could see Anusha pull away from his grasp, her wide staring back at me with horror while mine locked with that of my husband's.
My heart broke looking at the unfazed and void expression stuck up on his as his eyes shifted from that of mine to the guy standing beside him.
"Wow," I said again. "What a fucking pleasant surprise," I whispered moving closer to him.
The tears I had been waiting for, I mean holding back finally making their way down my eyes.
He didn't say anything, as he simply rested his hands on his pockets before licking the bottom of his lips and slowly closing the distance between us.
"A surprise indeed. Just like yours," He whispered back.
My eyes stung at the audacity of this man in front of me. Was I really that fucking wrong about him? Was everything that we ever had just a damn lie for him? Was it all just for show?
"How could you?" I could feel the way my voice broke with every word that escaped my mouth.
"How could you fuckin do this to me, Nuraan Khan! After everything that I have bared for you! Done for you! This is how you fucking decide to reward me huh! After I laid my damn life out to you this is what you do--" I couldn't even complete my sentence as he cut me off.
"Did what huh! What the fuck have you ever fucking done for me! Let me guess oh! Thank you so much for sleeping with a guy who ruined my childhood! Thank fucking you, Raqeeba! All this while I thought I was a fuckin fool to ever think that Anusha loved me but god dang it was I wrong. Because all this while it was you! YOU fuckin played with me like a toy. You knew I was Rudra's brother, you fuckin knew it, you knew how I fuckin hated that guy and what all he did to me, and yet you couldn't control your damn love for him. Yet you go around holding your damn make-out sessions in that room expecting me to remain a saint!"
"It's not what you think, Nuraan!"
"I didn't think it, Raqeeba! I just fucking saw you guys with my own eyes so stop fucking pretending! Just stop it goddamnit! I can finally see the truth behind your façade and sorry but not sorry if I decide to let go of your cheating self!"
I didn't know what to say anymore as I just looked into those blue orbs as fresh tears escaped my eyes making his widen slightly before he clenched his jaw leaning closer almost making our foreheads touch.
"I HATE YOU" He whispered,
It was those words that finally got me out of my damsel in distress made as I clenched my jaw and rested my hands on his chest before pushing him away as hard as I could.
"Perfect, because the feeling is mutual, Mr. Khan. In fact, the more I'm looking at you the more disgusted I am with my own self forever loving a person as blind, delusional, and thick-skulled as you. I hate you too, Nuraan. I hate you too because this time you didn't just break me, you shattered the already broken pieces of my heart and I'm never, never gonna forgive you for this. Never." I said my voice and words coming out as a complete mess.
My eyes met that of Anusha and almost instantly she came forward wrapping her arms around Nuraan. "Let's get out of here, baby. She isn't worth it." She said. His eyes met mine at her words before the corner of his mouth turned into a tight-lipped smirk.
"Of course, she isn't," He said, before grabbing her hand in his and making his way towards the exit only for me to have him stop at my next words.
"You always said Rudra wasn't a good man." I started turning around, this time having all four pairs of eyes look back at me. How four you ask?
You'll know.
I continued. "You were right, he was nothing close to being a good bother, son, husband, or a father, but trust me, Kabir, you're no fuckin different. He might have killed people quite literally, but you too are a murderer of my heart."
With that I turned on my heels, unwillingly grabbing onto the hands of the man I loathed before dragging the two of us out of the room and up the stairs.
. . .
I looked at the city lights as I stared down the terrace, the wind blowing my hair making me slightly shiver. He stood by my side his eyes not even for once leaving my face.
"Bellissima," he whispered, making a sad chuckle escape my mouth.
There was a long silence that followed before I finally broke the ice.
"Did you mean it?" I asked my voice slow and cautious, as I turned my head to look at him. He just frowned at my words, "Mean what?" He questioned.
"That you love me," I replied, I could see the way he let out a deep breath, before saying
"Obviously, I did. I meant every word, Ora, I love you," Taking a deep breath I just nodded.
"The wedding is the day after tomorrow, Rudra. I don't wanna cause any problem in it so..." I gulped before finally completing my sentence.
"take me away from here."
I didn't miss the way his eyes almost bulged out of his sockets in shock as he gawked at my face. I just gave him a half-hearted smile,
"You said you loved me right? So take me away, I'm willing to give us a second chance." I don't even know how those words escaped my mouth but they did, and for the first time I was grateful for it.
He just looked at me wide-eyed before finally, a huge smile broke through his face,
"I can't believe this, finally my Ora!" He cheered opening his arms, ready to grab her in his arms only to have me stop him with a palm on his chest.
"We leave at 4 in the morning, before anyone wakes up," I said, making him nod and drop down his hands.
"Where?" He asked. A small smile taking over my lips.
"To where it all started." He just frowned at my words making me continue.
"It's been a long time going home."
___________
<<third person's p.o.v>>
"It worked!" He beamed.
"It fucking worked! Do you hear me! She wants to run away with me! She chose me over that fucking bastard! She chose me!" Rudra was beyond elated as he looked at the girl in front of him, the girl without whom none of this had been possible. The girl who helped him turn his dreams into reality.
"Thank you so much," He whispered walking closer to her as he cupped her cheeks gently leaning forward, and pressing his lips against her's making her eyes go wide before she slowly pulled away, giving him a small smile.
"I'm happy for you." She said, her voice tightening towards the end. He just grinned back. "I know I am too." He said,
Walking backward he simply laid down on the bed on his back, resting both his hands behind his head as he sighed in contentment.
Her eyes, her tears, the redness of her nose, those sniffs, that pain, the betrayal, and that fuckin smell she carried intoxicating him beyond words, oh how he loved everything about her.
And how he couldn't wait to recreate everything he ever did to her in the past.
He wanted to feel every part of it all over again.
Her tiny figure under his huge built, the cracking of her voice as he'd chain her. He couldn't wait to do everything he had already done her in the past.
To him, it was his form of affection. After all, what is pleasure without pain?
A laugh escaped his mouth as he thought of his stupid brother. The man his Ora had so much faith in. God the overjoy he felt when he himself witnessed her feeling the betrayal from the man she had so much trust in.
That felt amazing.
"You know darling," He voiced his thoughts out to the girl sitting quietly on the couch her thoughts on the verge of zoning out.
"Huh?" she whispered.
Rudra took a deep breath before continuing, "Orvana was always something different, ever since she was a kid, I loved her back then just like I love her now but no one ever got it, but I don't think I really loved her enough,"
His last line making her head snap towards his direction, "What?" He just let out a booming laughter
"I don't think I loved her enough as much as I hated that husband of hers." Her eyes widen at his statement as she looked at him in shock and confusion
"Y-you knew Nuraan from before?"
"Of course, I did, that son of a bitch is my blood, after all, my brother." He said his words coming out bitter than ever.
"Wh-why didn't you ever tell me before?" Her voice was barely audible making him snicker.
"Are you dumb? You might be the worst best friend in the world but you were pretty much the die-hard lover of my brother, I couldn't risk it. I couldn't. Not when you were my only key to have his most precious possession-- His Wife." Her mouth remained agape as she could feel tears sting her eyes.
What had she done?
"Yo-you cheated on me!?" Her voice raised making him clench his jaw as he shut his eyes but his lips were still plastered in a sickening smile.
"Now now, stop acting like you're the sanest person ever existing on this planet because clearly you never gave two fucks about your childhood buddy for a waste of an unrequited love. Had you been good enough you wouldn't have taken the bloody pain to hunt for the only tormentor of you little Ora just to make her life a living hell? So just cut the drama. You're just another selfish ass bitch."
He taunted, she couldn't disagree, as tears ran down her eyes, she thought she would be the happiest person when she saw them separate a few hours ago, she thought she would be overjoyed when accuses her of stuff she had never done, she thought she'd be content seeing her in pain but nothing like that at all happened.
Instead, she just felt the weight on her chest get heavier and heavier with every passing second.
How would she face any of them anymore? How would she look into her best friend's eyes after everything that she did to him, that she did to them?
Letting out a quick breath he stood up with a jerk before standing on his feet.
"She said she wants to leave by 4, doesn't leave much time in my hand that means." He muttered grabbing his shoes and putting them on.
"Any idea where I can get those metallic chains for bondage?" He asked making a shiver run down her spine.
"W-why?" She asked her voice coming out in a whisper. He just chuckled darkly this time.
"I think my little doll just forgot where she belonged. It's time I put her in her place." He gritted, his fingers skimming over the right side of his cheek, the pain from that one slap still staying as fresh as ever. A gasp escaped her mouth as she looked at the man with wide eyes.
Oh my god.
Grabbing his wallet he put it in his back pocket before opening the door to his only for him to stop and look back at her as he said.
"You should probably bid her goodbye already, I'm afraid she won't make it past today."
She froze.
_______
She stepped out of her room to the balcony at one hour past midnight, a shawl wrapped around her shoulders as she smiled gently as the chilly breeze touched her face, sending shivers down her spine.
Apart from the lights from the lampposts along the road and the silence that followed, it was absolutely dark. All of the guests were sound asleep.
She couldn't help but feel proud of herself as she took a big breath and considered how far she had come.
Who'd have guessed that the girl who began her trip as an eremophobic and nyctophobic would ever experience a period when she could be alone in the dark and feel so content?
Thanks to one man, who, without his knowledge, shaped her into the strong woman she is today.
Today was going to be a significant day, not only for her but for everyone whose lives were intertwined with hers.
She chuckled to herself as she exhaled deeply, what a fuckin interesting day it had been.
Glancing at the thermos flask she had been carrying with herself and the two paper cups, she gently laid them down on the table before seating herself on one of the two chairs, as she poured the hot coffee on them until her ears perked up at shuffling behind, making a small smile plastered on her lips.
She took one for herself, leaving the other cup on the opposite side of the table, before leaning back and resting in the chair.
She didn't even bother looking behind as she asked. "Would you like to join me for a coffee, Ayman?"
To say the girl standing behind her was caught off guard would be an understatement, but nonetheless, she muttered a soft "Sure," before coming forward and sitting beside her, carefully taking the cup in her hands.
Her eyes met those grey orbs which keenly observed all her moves until she finally welcomed her with a smile.
"No sleep?" She asked making Ayman shake her head negatively.
"Mine neither," Raqeeba replied nodding.
"W-why?" That was the first word that escaped Aym's mouth as she looked at the girl sitting beside her.
"Idk, I'm just overwhelmed." She replied, "What about you? What took your sleep away?"
Letting out a shaky breath Ayman looked at the cup of coffee she carried in between her palms before saying,
"Guilt."
A soft chuckle escaped Raqeeba's mouth as she bit on her bottom lip.
"Part of life, Aym. Part of life." She whispered.
"No," Was the silent reply she got instead, "No Raqeeba, you don't kno--" Raqeeba didn't even bother to hear the rest of her words as she jutted in. "You wanna hear a story, Aym?" She said instead, making Ayman frown, but nonetheless, she nodded. "Sure"
Keeping down her now empty cup of coffee, she started with her narration.
"Once upon a time, there was a vast kingdom known as "Fairygarden," which was the ideal of beauty and greenery, with the perfect blend of nature's vivid, vibrant colors. It was the kind of kingdom one could only dream of, with one of the most alluring aspects being its inhabitants, who were no less than lords themselves. They were all so altruistic and welcoming, but there was one thing they all agreed on: the laws of 'THEM' and "US." The 'US' represented the green trees, lovely bees, rainbow, does, doves, heirs, bunnies, butterflies, and everything else that appealed to the human eye, The 'THEM,' on the other hand, was the darker side of the 'Fairygarden,' the part that not everyone knew about and was hidden from the outside world. It was the most secret possession of the garden, the side that was drab, dark, and depressing." She expressed.
"No one in the 'Fairygarden' had bothered to learn more about the other side until the most precious and tiniest inhabitant there decided to defy the laws one day. She was a butterfly, strolling and admiring her lords' creations when her gaze fell on the mud on the other side of the border, where a dying moth lay nearing the end of her days, her wings ripped and eaten away at the edges, her tiny figure almost ready to give up on her existence, as had everyone else. However, the butterfly continued to pay regular visits to the barrier that separated the Fairygarden from its darker side throughout time, her care and love warming the moth's heart and giving her a purpose to live. The moth explained to the butterfly how life on the other side differed greatly from that in Fairy garden. She informed her about the wicked reptile who lived in the dark allies and who ate a small piece of the moth's wings every time he came. When the butterfly first spotted the lizard, she was terrified of losing the moth, so she resolved to assist the moth in escaping."
Ayman could feel her eyes tearing as she gulped down on her saliva. That's how good she thinks of her even after all this while?
"The trees and flowers warned the butterfly not to go in there because it was never a safe place to be, but the butterfly didn't care; she went around asking for help from all the inhabitants in the garden, only to be denied by everyone until a little red bird came up to her and offered her a helping hand. The butterfly was overjoyed and expressed gratitude to the bird as she couldn't wait to meet her mate. Fate, on the other hand, had other ideas. While it was the time of the year when the most valuable and beautiful possessions of the Fairygarden were to be transported to the castle in front of the prince as a form of exposure of the inhabitants of the garden to the in front of him, because he couldn't visit them himself. That was because years a cursed vicious creature had poisoned the prince when he was just a kid leaving him crippled for life."
Ayman gasped at those words her eyes slightly widening while her heart beating wildly.
"The red bird spared the moth and helped her grow. The butterfly became best friends with the prince and princess throughout her time at the castle, while the moth finally had a new start in life with loving bird parents and her new firefly pals. Every day they thought about each other but the moth and butterfly's lovely friendship couldn't withstand the test of time."
Ayman didn't miss the heaviness in Ora's voice as she continued narrating while she just blankly stared at her hands, her eyes becoming blurry with each passing second.
"Years later, it came that time of year again, and the moth was picked as a present for the prince, despite the fact that she was plainly not attractive or precious enough. The prince, who at first despised her for not being the gift of his choice, grew to admire the moth and her dull and ripped wings, while she, too, realized that he wasn't as arrogant as he appeared to the world and that there was more to him until she found a home in the prince's palms and strength in his crippled being. The prince became utterly ignorant to how his new interest functioned as a thorn in the life of the butterfly because he spent so much time with the moth. She began to despise the moth and the day she had lent her a helping hand, while the oblivious moth continued to explore the castle for the butterfly but was unable to recognize her, how could she, when her scarred wings were so obvious to identify but the butterfly's perfect ones were different?"
"The butterfly had had enough one day and decided to expel the moth from the castle, with the only thing willing to assist her being the terrible reptile on the dark side of the garden. The reptile, or more accurately, the wicked lizard, and the butterfly both got what they wanted, but the poor butterfly never realized that in her quest to reclaim her true love—the prince—she actually wounded him, for the reptile was the same cursed beast that had poisoned him years ago."
She couldn't breathe the moment Raqeeba concluded her words, "Wh-what?"
Raqeeba didn't say anything as she simply tilted her head, her grey orbs staring straight at Ayman's hazel ones.
"Who do you think was the villain in here, Aym?" She asked casually, making Ayman's breath stop before she sighed looking down at her hands.
"Isn't it pretty clear? The butterfly, she betrayed her friend, for someone who didn't even love her that way." She said. Raqeeba just chuckled shaking her head.
"Allow me to quote the greatest of all Sir, William Shakespear,― There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so." Raqeeba said, continuing, "When I was little, I had nanny, I used to call her Sania bi, she was an Indian and huge fan of this man called Kabir Das, an Indian mystic poet and saint, so every night when she used to narrate me one of her Indianized fairy tales she used to end the morals with a quotation of his, one of them just stuck with me forever. It said, 'Bura jo dekhan mai chala, bura na mileya koi, Jo mann khoja apna, toh mujse bura na koi'"
Ayman just blinked at her words.
"What does it mean?" She asked,
" It means. I searched all around the world to look for the evil, but when I finally began to examine my heart, I discovered that I am the evilest of them all." Raqeeba smiled as she looked at her Butterfly.
Her A-man.
"but again it's all about the thinking, for the butterfly, she's the evilest of them all, little does she know how the moth has been cursing herself for snatching the love of her best friend. How in the eyes of the moth, she's the worst."
Ayman couldn't help the way as she choked out a sob while chuckling as tears ran down her eyes, while Raqeeba did the same. "Is she dumb?" Aym said, making Beeba chuckle, as she replied, "I guess she has always been"
There was silence for what seemed like an entity before Ayman asked. "D-does the moth hate the butterfly now?"
Raqeeba didn't answer, instead, she simply got up from her chair, standing, as she bent down taking her hands in her, making her stand in front of her, eyes teary but a smile on her face. "The moth can never ever be angry on the butterfly, Aym, Never. Because no matter what had it not been for the butterfly, the moth wouldn't have survived." She whispered her eyes glistening with tears while Ayman couldn't help the choked sobs escaping her mouth.
"I don't deserve you, I don't deserve you O-Ora, I-I'm the worst." the sound of uncontrollable hiccups and sniffs filled the atmosphere as Raqeeba wrapped her arms around her, gently stroking her back.
"Hey, shhh don't you ever say that again okay. I get it Aym, I get where it all came from, and even though I know Anger isn't a good thing, but still it's reasonable--" she tried justifying her friend's action only to have Aym pull back, "No, no no no, Ora, nothing I did could ever be justified, I was just a fuckin plain ass selfish bitch to you and I hate mysel--" She didn't realize how panicked her voice was until she was cut off by the firm voice of her Ora
"Ayman Abrahim, shut the fuck up, already. I said it's okay and I mean it now shush and come here." She voiced her arm stretching out inviting her A-man for a hug which she immediately accepted with the widest smile on her face.
"I'm so sorry," Aym breathed out, tightening her grip on her best friend.
"We forgive you," Raqeeba whispered back, at first Aym didn't notice until all of a sudden something hit her, making her frown as she pulled back. Grey eyes stared back at those hazel ones, a small smile playing on one of their lips making the other's eyes widen as a loud gasp escaped their lips,
"No freakin way!"
_______
"We're here, love," He said, his voice calm and composed from the surface, while from inside he could feel the stormy excitement within him coil up with each passing second.
'Oh, the things he'd do to her.'
He pondered. A tiny grin played across his lips as he plotted silently. After all of these years of waiting for vengeance, it was now time to put his regime to the test.
Years ago, he'd already positioned his arrow on the bow, dragging them backward, and calmly waiting for his targets to settle before hitting them both at once.
And what better time than this, right?
What better luck than having both his prey come forward to him all by themselves, serving each other to him in a platter.
'Stupid kids' He thought thinking about the time when Kabir, his brother, the same 10-year old whose life he had destroyed by making him witness his own mother's murder, haunting him for the rest of his life, decided on believing him rather than his wife, who Rudra could only guess stood by him through thick and thins, for she had the damn guts to stand up in front of her tormenter, just for the sake of her absolutely worthless husband.
As much as he would like to think that his Ora had grown up to be a smart woman, she really wasn't.
After all how dumb would you have to be, for wanting to run away with her rapist? For thinking that a person's nature can change over time.
"Oh," Her soft voice brought him back to the present moment and the circumstance they were both in. Perfect. He pondered, his well-practiced gentleman smile plastered on his face as he stepped out of his side of the car and strolled across to the other side, opening the car door for her and giving her his hand.
Her doe-like eyes returned his green ones before diverting her gaze to his outstretched hand. She hesitated for a moment before accepting it with a tight-lipped smile.
"Thank you," She whispered, stepping out while he just bent forward placing a soft kiss on the back of her hand, immediately making her suck in a quick breath.
"I've got a surprise for you, Doll." He whispered in her ears making her clench her jaw but smile nonetheless.
Her eyes landed on a very familiar plot of land. The plot and the place she would've sold her life to forget. It wasn't entirely the same, but familiar enough, with time just being able to destroy the upper to stories of it leaving the ground partially eradicated but intact enough to provide a shelter.
"Daddy! Daddy no please don't! Don't, don't please just don't!"
"You're just a fuckin mistake!"
"No! D-don't touch me!"
"P-please don't send me to the bad guy!"
"Please don't hurt me, I-I'll give you all my chocolates,"
"Oh Doll, I don't like chocolates"
"After all, you'll be a whore when you grow up,"
"I don't like the way he looks at me A-man,"
"His green eyes scare me,"
"The last time I saw her she was flying from the fan, an-and angels fly right?"
"You have to get out from here, Ora. And I will get you out."
She shut her eyes at the bitterness of the place, her past memories still seeming like the freshest of wounds.
Everything she lost and everything she had gained, battling with her peace of mind as tears stung her eyes but she refused to let them out.
It had to be here. She had to be here.
For the end is the best at the place it started.
A small yet sharp gasp escaped her lips the moment she felt a silk black piece of clothing covering her eyes making her hand immediately rise in defense.
"Shh," she heard him whisper making her slightly tilt her head on the left. Clenching her jaw, she simply nodded as he tied a knot with the black cloth on the back of her head, grabbed her hand leading her inside.
The silence perking every hair on her body until a frown settled on her forehead at the constant sound of shuffling around her.
"Come out," She could hear Rudra's whisper.
"What?" She asked, confused, to which he immediately replied with a hurried, "Oh not you, Doll. Keep the blindfold on,"
His words only making her frown deepened when she heard him murmur the same words again, this time his voice a little louder than before. "I said come out, you little piece of shit," She heard him grit making her heartbeat fasten.
D-did he kno---
"I said fucking come out, Khalid!" This time his loud voice making her jump as she ripped out the blindfold from her eyes, her panicked orbs searching around the room only to be met with blank and dull grey walls instead until they landed on his huge built as he threw the dusty curtain away moving his arms forward, dragging something out by utmost force, revealing a small tiny figure in vision.
A loud gasp escaped her mouth, eyes widen as she looked at the prettiest pair of green orbs with specs of blue staring back at her with teary eyes and blurry vision as the smallest of sob choked out of his mouth but he immediately covered it with his tiny hands. Her heart beating loud in her ears, palms sweating.
Deja vu. That's what she felt, just that this time, she was on the receiving end.
"What did I say about being disobedient huh!" His loud voice breaking their eye contact. She didn't miss the way she could see the toddler jump as he quickly started stepping behind and before she knows what was happening he ran his way towards her before quickly, hiding behind her figure holding on to the back of her dress, clutching it tightly in his tiny grasp.
Their eyes met again for the second time making the world around Raqeeba all of a sudden come to a pause. His eyes stared back at her over his lashes as he stared back at her innocently, the moment she traced her palm over his soft chocolate brown hair.
"P-please don't hurt me," His words making a gasp escape her mouth at the memories of her past. The memory of the very day when her life took a complete turn of 360 degrees until it again bought her back, with the very similar torturous brutal father, in the very same place and at the very same situation, the only difference being, this time the roles had changed...
"No, no baby," She whispered the same words which once an Angel had said to her as she smiled softly at the 3 years old.
Tears stung her eyes she looked at the way the toddler mirrored the same expression which she had, back when she was in his position.
"Khalid! Come here!" She heard him shout as he started stepping forward towards them, her jaw immediately clenching at his words.
"Orvana! Come here!" Shutting her eyes at the memories of her past, she grabbed Khalid's hand in her a tight grip before she quickly hid him behind her figure. Her grey orbs staring daggers at the green ones.
Rudra's steps came to a halt as soon as his eyes met those firey ones which for once took them completely off guard until the corner of his mouth turned into a sickening smirk.
"Oh," He jitted, a burst of booming laughter escaping his lips immediately after. "I see where this is going? All of a sudden you feel liable to 'protect' this little twat, don't you." He quoted, before continuing.
"For someone with a broken home and a shattered soul, you sure are pretty courageous, Doll, but news flash for a weak woman like you, all courage did and will bring is destruction. You know, in the name of The Rudra Singh Malik." He mocked, she didn't say anything at first, her eyes just staring into that pure arrogance as a chuckle escaped her mouth.
"Destruction you say? It's been one of my greatest teachers over the year, actually, that's exactly how my life started, I was born devasted, destructed beyond repair, but haven't you heard of the saying? Every act of creation is first an act of destruction. We had to bleed before we bloomed. Just like me, just like Kabir. Unfortunately or should I say, fortunately, you weren't a part of the clan? You know why? Because monsters like you, don't fucking deserve a new life. YOU were a mistake to the world."
She didn't stutter, she didn't move back, she didn't tear apart as she stared straight, tall, and confident, letting each word of power come as clean as a slate while on the other hand, all he could see was red.
Mistake.
Years back a woman had lost her life for calling him a mistake, and 'I guess history does repeat itself.' he pondered.
Rage seething through his veins.
"How fuckin dare yo--"
She didn't even bother letting him complete, as she continued "Now coming back to your first statements, which I must say are absolutely mistaken, inaccurate and fallacious. Weak? I'm not, especially not if I can shatter your fragile man ego without even moving an inch of fingers, so snap out of it. Shattered soul? Stop giving yourself this much importance my oh so dear, beloved brother-in-law, because a loser, misogynistic and hollow person like you shouldn't even count their existence as something which could bother me forget crushing my soul. And lastly... broken home, you said?" She chuckled shaking her head before looking straight into his eyes.
"You wish,"
Her words were firm, yet challenging to a point that it actually made Rudra question her sanity.
'Has she lost it?' Or does she suffer from some serious split personality?
"What the fuck are you talking about?" He questioned completely confused. Raqeeba just chuckled nonchantedly adding on a hundred gallons to his already fueled anger issues.
"You know Rudra, for someone with that criminal mind you sure are pretty inattentive of your surroundings." Somehow her words manage to trigger his veins and before she could even know he stormed his way to her seething in anger, "Shut the fuck up bitc--"
His words couldn't complete as a voice bet him to it. The voice he least expected to hear, the voice which for the first time in his life bought chills to run down his spine, making his blood go cold and his heart race.
"Language,"
