Annalise was taking a stroll through the park when a familiar looking blonde quickly approached her. "Anna!"
The heretic tilted her head curiously seeing the human Cami call her out, "What can I do for you, Camille?"
"I-" the human placed her hands on her waist as she breathed heavily, "I... I need to know if you can help my uncle."
Anna pursed her lips, "What's wrong with him?"
"He was hexed by a witch. Davina told me a siphoner witch would be the only one who could fix him, a-and I remember hearing you were a siphoner." Cami watched the heretic blink at her.
The human sighed, "Look, I know you don't owe me anything and we've barely even interacted but please, I'm begging you to help me. He's all I have left."
Anna slipped her hands into her pocket, "The last part wasn't very needed since I had already made up my mind about helping you." Cami's eyes lit up at the heretic's words.
"Lead the way, Camille."
The two females entered St. Anne's Church and Annalise cringed as she saw Kieran shackled to a heater as Josh attempted to calm him. The vampire looked up and his eyes widened seeing Anna, "What's she doing here?" he glanced over at her quickly, "No offense."
Annalise shrugged, "None taken."
"She's gonna help my uncle." Cami quickly explained. Anna shrugged off her coat as she slowly approached the human that was withering in pain.
She kneeled down and examined his condition, "That was one nasty hex."
Camille nervously fumbled with her hands, "Can you help him?" Anna nodded as she stood back up and face the human and Josh. "I can siphon the hex away."
Cami's face broke into a smile, "Thank you!"
"This will be a painful process though so maybe stand a few feet back."
The blonde human frowned, "For him?"
Anna kneeled back down and lifted her palm, "For me." she gripped Kieran's forearm and began to siphon the magic from the hex. The heretic winced and shut her eyes tightly as she felt the pain course through her.
Annalise softly bellowed as she held the humans arm, the more magic a hex had the more painful it was.
Anna stiffened her body as a painful knife sensation hit her ribs. Another moment passed before Annalise had successfully siphoned the magic away.
Finally prying open her eyes once again she watched father Kieran pass out and lay on the floor. Joshua and Camille rushed over to the human.
Anna wobbly stood back up and shook her head trying to rid herself of the migraine she developed. "It is done. He will wake up in a few hours good as new."
Cami gratefully smiled up at the heretic, "Thank you, Anna. Truly, I owe you one."
"Take care Camille. War is brewing up, tread carefully." Anna sent her a warm smile before picking up her coat and exiting the church.
The heretic felt her phone buzz and reluctantly answered the call that was from Elijah.
"Anna? Are you alright? Where are you?" The original immediately bombed her with questions.
"I'm fine and I just left the church. Why do you sound so worried?"
"Well considering I just collapsed due to a foreign pain that ran through my body my guess was that it came from you."
Anna muttered a curse, she forgot any pain she felt so did her beloved soulmate. "Sorry to worry you, I was helping Camille out with her hexed uncle problem. I siphoned the hex from him which hurt like a bitch."
Annalise heard Elijah sigh in relief, "I thought you were in danger. Thank goodness, but now that I have you on the phone I was wondering if you would accompany me to the Bayou."
"Why the Bayou?"
"I need to have a conversation with the werewolves that were conspiring with my brother."
"Ooh, interrogations. Count me in."

Elijah and Annalise trudged through the Bayou. The atmosphere was tense and well awkward, neither of them had uttered a single word on the walk.
Elijah wanted a moment to talk with the heretic but now he was scared to say something that would ruin things further and Annalise assumed the original just didn't feel like speaking.
The two continued their walk in silence when they finally arrive at the werewolves camps.
Anna smiled as she noticed Hayley sitting in a chair on a porch. She was due soon. The heretic picked up her pace and approached Hayley and her friend, Eve.
"Good evening, how's the baby doing?" Annalise looked over to her pregnant friend. Hayley smiled as she placed a hand on her bump, "Really good."
Elijah joined the three and chimed in, "Pardon the interruption. I wonder if I might have a quick word with the conspirators of a supposed uprising."
Eve and Hayley glance at each other before leading the other two towards Jackson and Oliver. Elijah crossed his arms over the chest as he looked at the two male werewolves, "You're making a grave mistake."
Oliver scoffed harshly, "So, you're just worried about us. Is that it?"
"I'd happily leave you for dead meat, don't get it twisted." Anna narrowed her eyes at the blonde.
Jackson sighed as he glanced at the original vampire, "Look, Elijah. We know all about your brother's reputation, but if there is even a chance that these rings can help us take control of our curse-" Oliver interrupted the alpha, "Our gift," but Jackson continued over him, "Then, honestly, we don't care what he's really after. Won't have to."
Annalise pursed her lips, "You lot are just stupid."
Elijah spoke first before anyone could answer to the heretic, "I see. There are those in the Quarter who will consider this a great provocation."
"Apparently, most of them see us breathing the same way." Oliver grumbled out. Elijah glanced at Hayley feeling irritation build up in him, "You signed a pledge, and you looked me in the eye as you did so."
The pregnant girl rubbed her temples, "We don't want a fight, Elijah. We just want a better life."
"Allegiance with my brother will guarantee you anything but that."
Annalise mentally disagreed with the vampire. Klaus did have some tricks up his sleeves so she understood why they were siding with him.
Suddenly they all hear the sound of a motorbike approaching. "What the hell?" Jackson muttered, clearly confused.
The man rides into the encampment and stops as he stares at the group in front of him. "Which one of you is in charge?"
Jackson narrowed his gaze, "Who's asking?"
Anna glanced at the alpha, "Clearly him."
Elijah noticed something off about the human and tackled him just as the motorbike exploded, throwing everyone backwards.
The heretic groaned as she landed roughly on her back, she felt a burning pain on her forearm and checked to see she had managed to get burned. Elijah stood back up and grimaced feeling a burning sensation on his arm but nothing was there. His eyes widened in realization and the vampire quickly sped over to his brunette soulmate.
"Anna." he breathed as he kneeled before her. The heretic began to sit up right, "I'm fine, nothing that won't heal."
Elijah glanced down at her arm to see it was already healing.
The two glanced at Hayley who was tending to an injured man that was covered in chemical burns. Wolfsbane.
Anna helped some werewolves tend to their injury as Elijah hung up a call he was on with Hayley and turned towards Jackson.
"Is she okay?" the werewolf questioned. Elijah nodded, "Apparently, yes."
"It's a good thing that bomb went off where it did. Could've been a lot worse. We all could've got killed." Jackson shook his head the thought. Annalise was currently helping a women who had her leg burned. The heretic was stationed by an RV as she wrapped the werewolf's leg in a cloth.
"This might hurt a bit love." Anna warned before tightening the bandage, the strawberry blonde yelped from the pain in her leg. "I would offer you my blood to help, but your alpha might have my head." Annalise tried to make the werewolf laugh which worked seeing as she let out a chuckle.
"You're not so bad as people make vampire's seem." the woman told her. The Martin heir gave her an awkward smile, "Thank you,"
Elijah's eyes widened as he realized a bomb was planted on the RV by Annalise. "Anna!" he screamed.
The brunette's head perked up but her attention was cut off by the explosion that was sent off right behind her. The heretic was sent flying into a tree and she gasped when a piece of wood impaled her right above her chest in her left shoulder. She recoiled as she felt the stake scrape against her heart.
A burning sensation coursed through her leg, she winced as she tightly shut her eyes. The heretic sucked in a breathe as she attempted to rip the wood out of her but failed horribly, her strength was not at it's fullest.
Elijah groaned as he got himself back up from the ground, he looked down to see his right leg already healing from the burn he gained due to the bomb. The Mikaelson inhaled sharply as he rubbed his chest. Anna.
The vampire whipped his head around needing to find the girl. His gaze landed on a familiar figure that was pinned up to a tree. Elijah sped quickly and his eyes wandered down and he physically cringed at her condition.
The Mikaelson looked up at her face to see her eyes shut and irregular breaths leaving her lips. He gently placed his hand on her waist as his other gripped the piece of wood. "I'm going to need you to take a deep breath."
Anna muttered something the vampire wasn't able to understand.
"Can you do that for me, my love?" Elijah questioned as he prepared to extract the stake. Anna merely nodded in understanding.
The vampire yanked the wood out and Anna gasped loud as she fell against Elijah's chest.
"Bloody hell that fucking hurt."
Elijah hid a small smile as he held the heretic who could barely stand, "Are you alright?" the original felt her nod as her voice spoke up, "My burns are healing and my shoulder feels a lot better without a stake in it."
Anna nuzzled her head into his chest finding a welcoming comfort in it. Her eyes widened as she remembered the woman she was with. Anna stepped away from Elijah and immediately began to scan around them until she noticed a familiar looking figure.
The heretic walked up to the body and frowned, it was the female werewolf she had been tending to, dead. Her body was covered in wolfsbane burns and her eyes were open yet their was no sign of life in them.
Elijah slipped an arm around the heretic and she immediately relaxed in his hold. The vampire knew Anna was forcing herself to stand while trying to make it seem like she didn't need any help but her soulmate knew better. Annalise leaned on Elijah knowing he was helping herself stay upright.
"Help! Somebody help!"
The two turned to see Oliver trying to pry a car off of Eve who was pinned under it. Elijah glanced down at Anna who gave him a small smile and a nod. He gently took his arm off of her and waited until he saw she was okay standing before rushing over to help the blonde werewolf remove the car.
The vampire and Oliver rolled the car over and the werewolf rushed over to hold Eve. "Come on, Eve. Come on. It's okay. You're gonna be okay."
Elijah helped Oliver and Jackson move Eve into one of the medical shacks, Anna joined the three after she had completely healed from her injuries and watched Eve grimace in pain.
"That wound should be healing by now." Anna furrowed her brows as she spared a glance towards Oliver. "She never killed anyone, never activated the werewolf gene. So she can't heal, not like us." the blonde explained as he worriedly watched her.
"My blood, it could heal her." Elijah suggested. Oliver scoffed, "Vampire blood? Trust me, she'd rather die. Look, we can't just let them get away with this."
Jackson stood up with confusion written all over his face, "We don't even know who's to blame."
"The hell we don't! And if we don't fight back, they'll just do it again." Oliver angrily shouted. Jackson defiantly stood against him and the blonde stormed out of the shack in frustration.
"What a moody fellow."

Elijah and Annalise were on their way back to the compound when the heretic finally spoke up, "I think we should follow in Klaus' lead."
The vampire glanced at her as he gripped the steering wheel. "What makes you say?"
"Think about it, Klaus' plan isn't bad. The alliance with the wolves, it could work. Especially if we have the witch's against us. In my three hundred years of knowing Nik I have not witnessed him lose yet." Anna explained to her soulmate.
"Maybe."
The rest of the car drive was in utter silence as they drove up to the Abattoir. The two exited the vehicle and walked into the courtyard. Anna took notice of the original steering towards Klaus' study.
"What are you doing?"
"I will follow your judgment, Anna." the vampire answered before walking into the room. Anna seemed surprised but shook it off as she followed inside shortly after.
Klaus looked up from his desk and sighed noticing the two soulmates, "First Marcel's massacre, now bombs in the Bayou. I'll assume you're ready to give up this doomed treaty."
Elijah raised his hands that held their mother's grimoire. Anna's eyes widened at the sight of it.
"This alliance with the wolves, well... If it is to succeed, I believe you'll want this." the vampire handed his younger brother the spell book. Klaus grinned as he took it from Elijah's grasp, "Seems I have Hayley to thank for your change of heart."
Elijah shook his head, "More like Anna."
Klaus glanced over at his best friend who gave him a warm smile. "I know the winning side." the heretic shrugged.
"I always knew you were wise." the hybrid chuckled as Elijah began to pour drinks for the three of them.
"The rifts in this city run far deeper than I even imagined, Niklaus. These tribes, these factions, they're families, families who choose to fight. Mayhem has descended upon our home, and if I'm to choose a side..." Elijah handed a glass to Klaus and one to Anna, "To our victory."
And they clinked glasses.

Anna stood in the kitchen washing the dirty dishes that had been left in the sink. The heretic washed off her hands with a towel and began to dry the plates and cups she had just washed.
Klaus walked in and leaned against the doorframe as he watched her.
"Is there something you need, Nik?"
The hybrid frowned, how was he going to tell her? "I wanted to thank you for trying to help Cami's uncle."
Anna stopped her movements and slowly turned to face the hybrid who held a saddened expression.
"What do you mean 'trying'?"
"Anna-"
"I siphoned all the magic from the hex away, he should be fine, he should be healthy and with Camille-"
"Kieran is dead."
Anna's lips parted, "How?"
Klaus' gaze dropped to the floor as he remembered Camille's broken expression. "Someone had turned him into a vampire, he was in transition when he attacked Cami, he wasn't going to stop until she was dead. I had to kill him."
Annalise gripped the counter, "I'm sorry. I know how much he meant to Cami."
The hybrid shook his head, "It is not your fault little one. I appreciate you for trying to save him."
"I know how much seeing Camille upset hurts you, I would do anything to see you happy with someone." Anna shrugged. Klaus felt the heretic touch a soft spot in his heart, "You are a wonderful friend. One I do not deserve."
The Martin girl rolled her eyes, "Oh please, don't give me that bullshit. I wouldn't even be here without you." Klaus quirked up a brow, "How so?"
"When you met me, I had my humanity off. I couldn't take the heightened emotions, but then I met you that day in the bar when you helped me from an asshole who was trying to get into my pants. You didn't know I was a heretic or that I was a split second away from decapitating the male, but you still helped me."
Klaus blinked at her, "I don't see how that-"
"Shush. Anyways, after that incident you found out I was a vampire, well half. I hadn't told you about my magic until I had to save you from a witch- never mind that, I'm getting off topic." Klaus chuckled at the girl who continued, "You told me something that night I told you about how I became a vampire." Annalise smiled at the hybrid.
"You said, 'I never understood the reason for turning off our emotions, what's the point? It's bound to turn itself on again. Why suppress the ability to feel anger, anguish, guilt, joy, happiness, and fear if that is what makes us up. Why give up the very thing that gives us meaning? If you don't feel anything, then what's the point in living'?"
Klaus' lips parted as he recalled the day he uttered those words.
"After you said that my switch just, turned on. I don't know where I would be had I kept being the same heartless monster I had become. The moment you said that I knew, you were just like me. Afraid to be seen as a terrifying creature, but we'd mask it away by becoming the very thing we were sworn to hate. I have you to thank for helping me." Anna's lips tugged upwards into a bright smile.
The hybrid choked a laugh and cry as he engulfed the heretic in a warm hug. "Thank you for appreciating me, little one."
"Always."
