Today is Mukti's haldi. The girls decided to wear saree.

Alya looked really excited. "Mukti, we all are going to so much haldi on you that even Zubin won't be able to recognize you."

She grinned at the end while Mukti threw a glare to her.

Mukti shouted gritting her teeth. "Shut up."

"Nandini, are you done?" Alya shouted while fixing her dress.

"5 minutes more." Nandini replied from inside.

Alya went near Nandini. "Wait."

Nandini gave her a confused look. "What happened?"

"What's all this, Nandu?" She uttered in a teasing tone winking at her. "Who loved you so much? Tell us na."

Nandini started fixing her hairs to cover the marks of previous nights. She started blushing looking here and there. Her face flushed as she remembered of the moments. "Wha.... What are you saying? There's nothing. You speak nonsense. Stop all this." 

Alya made an 'oh' face. "I am the one speaking nonsense." 

The conversation would have run longer but Mukti came in between stopping them. "What, Alya? Come down fast."

They were coming down. Manik was looking at Nandini without blinking his eyes. He felt some angel has come down from heaven just for him.

Nandini saw Manik looking at her. She raised her eyebrows asking 'What?'

Manik signaled winking at her that she was looking beautiful. Nandini blushed.

Zubin came from back and placed his hand in Manik's shoulder. He raised his eyebrows seeing Manik. "What are you staring at like this?"

Manik made a bad face knowing what's coming. "When you already know of it, then why are you asking?" He turned his gaze away from him again.

Zubin was amazed with the way Manik spoke. He didn't deny that he was looking at Nandini. "Wow, bro!!! From now only? I like it."

"I didn't mean that."

"Yeah, yeah, I can understand. I'm already seeing it."

"Shut up."

Cabir came there and asked, "What is happening here? What are you both talking about?"

"Manik is busy in checking out our would be sister-in-law. So, don't disturb him." Zubin uttered in a serious tone.

Cabir nodded his head in understanding as wicked smiled appeared on his face. "Ohh. But Manik, don't stare at her much. She might caste your eyes only." 

Manik glared at both of them for uttering these stupid things. "Shut up."

That time Aryaman too came there. He had no idea of what's happening there. "Hey! What's up?"

"Let's get drunk today." Cabir shouted excitedly but making sure no one hears him.

Manik looked at him angrily. "Aryaman, catch him. He is gonna die in my hand today."

"Guys, alcohol free." Cabir made a scared face seeing him.

"Sure?" Zubin asked being unsure.

Cabir nodded his head frantically. "100% sure."

"Whatever. You guys carry on. I am going."

"Manik... Listen... Where..." Aryaman called Manik from behind but he was gone already.

Manik was walking out from there. Suddenly someone came from back and kept hand on his shoulder. Manik turned to see who it is. But before he could realize anything someone applied haldi on his whole face.

Manik was shocked when he came back to the reality hearing the laughter around him, he saw it was Nandini who applied haldi on him.

"Bro, now you are looking more handsome."

Nandini was still laughing.

"Nandini, what have you done with our handsome hunk?" Zubin too joined the laughter session.

Nandini high fived with him still laughing seeing his condition. "Now he is looking handsome ghost completely."

Manik smirked at her laughter and he started coming close to Nandini. She noticed it and got scared a little.

"Manik, no. Please...." She tried stopping him. She ran away from there as Manik was in no mood to stop.

Zubin's haldi was done. Now it was time for Mukti's haldi. But Nandini was still running away from Manik.

Manik gestured Nandini come up but she denied that she can't come now. But how can our Manik Baba hear a no when he wants Nandini? So, he just held Nandini's hand and dragged her with him in front of everyone.

No one said anything. They smiled seeing them.

Manik stopped when they reached his room.

"Why did you get me here like this?" Nandini asked as they got into Manik's room.

"So what else I should have done? I have been calling you upstairs for so long but you were not hearing me. If you had agreed to me, then I didn't have to drag you here this way."

"Didn't your see the ritual is still going on? How can I come here leaving the function in between? It doesn't look good."

"Is the function more important than me?"

"When did I say that? You know I didn't mean it."

"You didn't say it but it feels like this only."

Nandini looked at him in surprise. "Manik, listen to me. You are taking me wrong."

"It's okay, Nandini. I can understand."

Then they both become silent for some time. Nandini came close to Manik but he turned his face to other side. Nandini smiled at his childishness.

He still can't take anyone's ignorance............

Nandini slowly kissed on Manik's one cheek.

But he didn't say anything.

She kissed on his other cheek.

He was still quiet.

"Manik...." Again she kissed near his lips on his mole.

Still Manik didn't say anything. So, Nandini started crying.

Manik cupped her face. "Hey, Nandini, why are you crying? I was just kidding. I was not angry on you. I can never be. Don't cry please."

Nandini sniffed her nose cutely looking at her. "Really?" She battled her eyelashes making Manik's heart melt all over again.

"Really, my love."

Nandini now stopped crying and blushed when he called her 'love'.

Manik hugged Nandini rightly. Nandini also hugged him back keeping her head on his heart.

"Nandini....."

She only hummed in response without uttering anything.

"You remember when we were kids, if I had hit you once, then how many times you used to hit me?"

Nandini smiled thinking of it. "Yes, five for one."

Manik too smiled this time. "That's why I used to kiss you once so that you kiss me 5 times."

Nandini blushed looking down. Suddenly tears started forming in her eyes. Manik noticed that and he started panicking, "Hey, Nandini, what happened? Why are you crying again?" 

"Promise me that you won't go away again leaving me alone."

"Okay, I promise I am not going ever leaving you again. Happy now?"

Nandini nodded her head with a soft smile playing on her face. "Hmm... Now let's go down."

"Never."

"Why?" Nandini looked at him in confusion.

Manik moved his face near her and muttered in a husky tone. "Because......"

He started roaming his hand on her waist. It was easy for him because Nandini was wearing a saree. Nandini also started breathing heavily feeling Manik so close to her. Manik tried to come close to her where Nandini tried to move away.

Manik held her more tightly and whispered in her ear, "Stop it, Nandini."

"Manik!!!!!"

"Shhhhh."

Nandini's body stiffened when she understood what was Manik trying to do.

Manik slowly slided his hand from her waist to her back. He stopped when his hand reached at the dori of her blouse. Nandini's heart was beating really fast. She was not able to control her raging breath.

Nandini wanted Manik to stop but deep down she was liking his touch. She liked his closeness. She liked it when his hot breath fell on her neck.

Nandini tried to stop Manik. But he didn't pay any heed to her. Manik was hell of a naughty boy since his childhood. Now he has become the naughtiest one.

Manik was enjoying Nandini's condition and their closeness too.

"Manik, what are you doing?" Nandini manged to spoke with a great difficulty.

"Loving you." Manik replied still being in the same position.

"Really?"

"Really."

Nandini somehow moved away from Manik's grip. It was a damn difficult thing though. "Bye..."

"Think of it again..."

"I have already thought of it." Nandini smiled.

Nandini went away from there to the hall. Manik without having any option left, went behind Nandini.

At night after the haldi got over. Everyone was dead tired. So, they retired to their respective room. Alya and Nandini were in Alya's room.

"Nandu, where had you vanished in between the function? I was looking for you."

"I was there only. Maybe you didn't notice." Nandini was looking here and there not meeting her gaze.

"Okay. But where were you last night?"

"I was in the back garden. I was not feeling sleepy so thought of watching stars. You know how much I am fascinated by them."

"Were you there whole night?"

"Alya, I'm really tired now. Turn off the light and let's sleep."

Alya turned on the deam light and layed beside Nandini. Suddenly she pulled Nandini close to her making Nandini shocked.

"Alya, what are you doing?"

"Nandini, you know right, how much I love you."

Nandini looked at her in embarrassment. "Alya!!!"

"I just want to kiss you darling." She continued acting like Manik.

"Alya, stop. Have you gone mad?"

"Doesn't Manik say like this?"

"Shut up. Go to sleep." Nandini turned her face to other side trying to hide the red hue on her face.

Nandini turned to other side to hide her blush. Thinking about Manik and their private moments, she fell asleep.
