Chapter 05 - Changes on Plans

I couldn't hide for long, I had to get out of Yeonjun's place as fast as possible. Every second that ticks, my heartbeat rises with trepidation. I felt like there was always someone behind me with a knife in his hand.

Get a grip of yourself Y/n, don't lose your sense.

Yeonjun's house was nearby the bar. It was close to two in the morning. It was despairing, I couldn't sleep. My attempts at a small nap were a waste. I stepped outside and walked towards the backdoor of the bar. I wanted something strong to distract my mind. Nothing better than a good glass of whiskey or maybe if I'm lucky I can get something even better.

But luck was something far away from me...

I was so submerged in my thoughts, I accidentally collided with someone passing by. I lose my balance but thanks to that guy I didn't fall. He was quick enough to grab me from my shirt. The darkness around us didn't allow me to get a clear vision of him.

"Are you ok? I'm so sorry about that," his tone was gentle. Even though I was not in my right mind, I was conscious enough to reply to him thankfully.

"It's alright, it's my fault. I was thinking about something. Thanks for not letting me fall," I could feel his hand on me even though I was able to stand on my own. I gazed at him but the only thing I could notice was those big round black eyes.

"I'll be going then. Are you sure that you are ok? It's not an approvable place for a young lady at this time of the day." He scanned my figure with his doe eyes. I shook my head and rubbed my temple. After inhaling a deep breath I glanced at him,

"Don't worry about me, I'll be alright. I'm just heading for a drink. Thank you for your concern," I bowed at him. I could feel the grip was loosening. Before he could say anything else, I walked away from him, from everyone else. I wanted to be alone.

Yeonjun planned to send me to China, and after a year or two, I could move to either England or Australia. The flight was scheduled for ten in the morning. I had plenty of time to rest. But my mind was the opposite, it was restless. I was wrecked by various thoughts.

I dead stopped when I heard a familiar yet unpleasant voice from the back of the building. I was just about to enter but before that, I heard the discourteous talking of a person that made me freeze on my spot. I peeked through the dusty glass of the window. The night mist and the dust almost made me hard to stare through the transparent glass.

Two men were standing face to face with each other. One was Yeonjun without a doubt. I closed my mouth from both my hands with shock, letting my scream form into a muffle. It was him, it was the person who was haunting me down,

How did he even find this place? How did he know that Yeonjun was my friend? Looks like they kept an eye on my every action. I felt disgusted and horrified as some tiny bugs were creeping all over my body.

"You dare to disobey me? You pathetic fool, what's the point of defending her like this? You'll end up dying with her either way!" Beom Hyeon rasped at Yeonjun, who was helplessly trying to get off his grip. He's going to kill Yeonjun if he keeps protecting me like this.

What should I do?

I hated myself for crying, for being incapable of safeguarding my friend. I wish Jimin was here...

"I'll give you one more chance..." Beom Hyeon loosened his grip on Yeonjun's neck and made some space between them. In a blink of an eye, he grips his gun and shot at Yeonjun's shoulder. Only sobs along with muffling voices escaped from me. Yeonjun hissed and clutched his shoulder to stop the bleeding.

I wish I could run towards him and just hand myself to that insolent idiot. But that would be the end of both me and Yeonjun. For a second Yeonjun's eyes met with mine. He stared in my direction. I could understand that he got a glimpse of me.

"Fine," he breathed heavily and tried to stand up. Yeonjun glanced at Hyeon, "I'll tell you where she is," I stare at him with disbelief. Will he tell him that I'm right behind them? Out of this door?

Hyeon grabbed the other male from his shirt and shoved him to a chair nearby.

"Finally, someone is getting into his senses," he scoffed and smirked in a deadly way.

"She's getting on the flight to China at 10 a.m sharp tomorrow." He said, gulping his saliva go to wet his dry throat. "She's in my house. Only a block away from here. If not, she's probably out to buy some supplies to get ready," he glanced at me for a second. I noticed that he was telling everything, detailed, loud and clear so I could hear him. He was passing me a hint.

"What if you are lying?" The other guy folded his arms in front of his chest, still gripping his gun in his hand.

"The ticket is under the big vase on my table. You have your proof." Beom Hyeon scrutinized his face as he wanted to read Yeonjun's thoughts. Yeonjun clenched his jaws, staring at the enemy as he wanted to burn him to ashes with his glares.

"I'll be back, till then, if you try to run away, I'll hunt you down as well."

"I'm not a big cowered like you," Yeonjun snapped back. Hyeon just sniggered at his comment. I quickly ducked as he turned towards my side. I made a run for it, getting covered to the shades.

Beom Hyeon stuffed his pocket with his gun and started walking in the direction I came. As soon as I confirmed his departure, I quickly ran inside the bar.

"Yeonjun! You are bleeding a lot!" I yelped through my tears.

"Y/n-ah, you have to get the hell out of here. He won't take long to sense your absence."

"Fuck that, you are wounded!" I scrawled out, frustratingly.

"Listen to me noona, the most important thing now is to keep you alive." He placed a hand on my shoulder and looked into my eyes with concern.

"You have to live no matter what," he smiled through the pain. He suddenly walked to the table and took some money out of the locker. His hands moved very fast even though he was wounded. As for me, I was just standing like a statue, without knowing what to do. Yeonjun dropped the money on a bag and handed me it.

"Take this, there's a ship anchored in the southern dock. It'll be sailing in four hours. By the time he returns, you'll be on the ship." Yeonjun explains while running here and there to fill the bag he gave me.

"Yeonjun..."

"By a ticket and hide in there till it starts sailing. Take care of yourself Y/n, please stay alive," he walked towards me and pressed my body to his for a hug. He patted my head.

"Maybe we will meet one day again,"

Those were the last words I heard from him before I left that night. I kept walking in the opposite direction of his house, hoping that Beom Hyeon won't spot me. As I found myself on the southern dock, I looked around. The shadows of the ships were covering the whole border. People were busy bees. Different kinds of people from different countries were there. I reached a man in the queue to buy tickets for the ship.

"Excuse me, do you know the ship that will be sailing in four hours? Can you tell me where to buy the tickets?"

He presented a warm smile.

"You must be talking about that ship over there," he pointed to a ship that looked majestic and beautiful. It was already lit up with bulbs and a heck of a crowd was buzzing around it.

"You can ask someone there." I bowed at him.

"Thank you so much," he nodded as he acquiesced.

As I walk towards the crowd, I read the name of the gigantic ship that was anchored. The night was so cold that made my teeth grind. I puffed some air and glanced at the glistening letters that was written in the portside of the ship.

It read,

Titanic
