With the original four Ninja, Jasmine, and Mintayla gone, the Sons of Garmadon took over Ninjago.

Ultra Violet was on TV. "Welcome back to Ultra Hunt! The place where hunting traitors couldn't be more fun." She says, laughing. "The game show where you, the viewer, can win cash and rewards, or even the Grand Prize if you help us catch the Green Ninja. Today's fugitive is the Police Commissioner!"

Chopper Maroon goes up to a figure wearing green.

"Hey, haven't you heard? The color green has been outlawed. Emperor Garmadon's orders." Chopper Maroon says as he rips his cloak off, revealing Dareth.

"Fine. You found the Brown Ninja. But I may not go quietly. Ugh!" Dareth says.

Chopper Maroon digs through Dareth's bag and brings out a Puffy Potsticker. "Brown Ninja? Is he even on the list?"

"No list I know. Is his power hoarding food?" Mohawk asked.

"I will have you know," Dareth began as he took the Puffy Potsticker. "My intense training requires a high calorie intake. And for the record, your insensitivity to this matter is downright cruel."

Chopper Maroon laughs. "He's just a wannabe. Cut him loose."

"Thanks for the breakfast." Mohawk said.

"The Resistance will make you pay!" Dareth shouts at them.

Chopper Maroon laughs. "What resistance?"

They leave with his food. Dareth goes to a secret location.

"It's freezing." Dareth says, closing the door behind him as he walked in.

"So they'll never bother to look here. Did you get food?" Misako asked.

"Yeah, they took everything. Except..." He pulls out the now-stale Puffy Potsticker much to everyone's disgust. "Ah-ha! Mr. Chen's Puffy Potsticker. I was gonna save it for later, but it's yours. Eat up, Lloyd. You lost your Elemental Power, but not your appetite."

"Uh, uh...they're just as hungry as I am." Lloyd says, not really wanting to eat all of it.

"No, son. You need your strength." Misako assures.

"And we're here to protect you, remember? We insist." Nya says.

Lloyd reluctantly eats it. "Hmm. Puffy."

"Break's over. Let's go again." Nya says.

Nya fought Lloyd while everyone else watches. Poppy stood with Misako, PIXAL, and Dareth near the cardboard boxes while they watch Lloyd and Nya train.

"How goes the training for the leader of our resistance?" Dareth says.

"Truthfully, not so well. Lloyd says he doubts he can lead us without what makes him powerful." PIXAL says.

"But Nya still has her power. Doesn't he believe it'll come back?" Dareth asks.

"He wasn't talking about his power." Poppy says.

"He was talking about his friends." Misako agreed with her son's girlfriend.

"Ah, man. I miss those Ninja too. It's only been a week since Emperor Garmadon's taken over, and now everything's upside down. If it means anything, I'll protect the little green guy with my life if it comes to that." Dareth says.

"We all would." Misako says.

"Sweet move, Lloyd!" Dareth cheers.

Nya kicks Lloyd.

"Perhaps we should reach out to the other Elemental Masters." PIXAL says.

"I mean, seriously, what have they done for Ninjago lately?" Dareth asks.

"It has been a while since we saw Skylar. But can we trust them?" Misako says.

Music plays on the television.

"Huh? Turn it up." Lloyd says.

The Police Commissioner, arrested by the Sons of Garmadon, gets inside the police car.

Ultra Violet was still on TV. "Oh-ho-ho! Looks like another one bites the dust. Who will be next? Ultra Hunt!"

"Turn it off." Nya sighs. "Ninja never quit. Again."

They fight again.

Kai manages to find foil under the Bounty's debris.

"Foil. I found foil! Ah! Yes! We have foil!" Kai says.

Zane grunts as he sets up a radio. "Okay. Let's see if it works." He says.

"Say we're lucky enough to reach someone in Ninjago. After everything that's happened, is there even a home to go back to?" Cole says.

"One way to find out. Here goes nothing." Mintayla says.

They turn the radio only to hear silence, much to their disappointment.

Zane sighs, "And that sounds like nothing."

"Ugh! We're never getting home!" Kai complained.

"So it doesn't work. I'm telling you guys, I've been feeling so much better now that I've accepted our situation. This is our new home." Jay said calmly, which is completely unlike him, making them freaked out a bit.

"You don't sound like yourself, Jay." Jasmine said. Despite the fact that she already knows what happens, she's still not used to this since she's so used to Jay being the first to panic or freak out.

"I'm just saying you don't have to freak out about it. Heh. It could be worse." Jay says.

"This while 'you being calm' right now is freaking me out." Mintayla told Jay honestly.

"Worse? Worse!? A strange tea lady just marooned us in the Realm of Oni and Dragon. A realm, mind you, we know nothing about, with no hope of getting home, and now clue as to what else is out there!" Kai panicked.

"Uh, Oni and Dragons, duh?" Jay asked.

"Sure, Jay. We've all seen Dragons. But aren't you the least bit concerned about coming across an Oni? I mean, we hardly know anything about them." Cole reminded his best friend.

"Except that they like to destroy, and Master Wu is part one." Zane said.

"I'm hungry." Kid Wu complained.

They all headed over to him. All of them expect for Jay who was leaning against a log.

"Sorry, Master, but I thought we told you. We're rationing our food." Cole said.

"Hmm. Perhaps there is some useful guidance you could impart on us in this difficult time?" Zane said hopefully.

"Master Wu?" Cole asked hopefully.

"I'm hungry." Kid Wu complained again.

Jay laughed. "Ah, man."

"You not freaking out is freaking me out!" Kai told him.

"Kai, baby, it's much easier coping with life's problems when you let go of hope. Whoo-hoo! Hey, turn up that music. That's my butter and jam. Yeah-ha!" Jay cheered.

"Yeah-ah! He's totally lost it." Mintayla said.

"Nope. I've totally found it." Jay corrected.

"Still hungry." Kid Wu said.

"We all are." Kai said.

"Be patient. He's a growing boy. At his excelled growth rate, we'll have our old Master soon enough." Zane says.

Kai sighs. "We're low on food, Master. How about you go out and find some?"

"I don't wanna." Kid Wu whined.

"Now, Master, don't put off till tomorrow what can be done today." Cole says.

"Pfft, ha. That's rich. Now we're giving him lessons he taught us. Haha." Jay laughed.

"I'm begging you. Freak out already!" Mintayla told Jay, completely freaked out about him being the calm one right now.

"Will you...will you come with me?" Kid Wu asked, looking at Jasmine and Cole.

They nodded. After Cole had brought Wu back to the Bounty when he was a baby, it was him and Jasmine who actually stepped up and took the role of looking after him as if they were his parents.

"Okay, you guys fix the radio. We'll go see what food we can scrounge up. Come on, Little Master." Cole says, the three of them started to walk off.

"Why do you call me that?" Kid Wu asked.

"Uh...Habit, I guess." Cole said nervously, Jasmine did her best not to giggle at how cute he looked when Cole was nervous.

"Quit messing with my tunes, man." Jay complained.

Cole, Jasmine, and Wu trekked the realm, still not finding food.

"It feels like we've been walking forever." Kid Wu complained.

"Yeah, well, Ninja never quit." Jasmine said. She and Cole shared a soft smile before the two shyly looked away from the other.

"I'm not a Ninja." Kid Wu said.

"Ah, ha. One day, you will be." Cole said, just when they hear a Dragon and see food. "It's okay. I used to be scared of them too. But Dragons are our friends." He comes out of hiding and approaches it. "Hi, little fella! Whatcha eating? Mmm, looks delicious." They Dragon gets into a stance. "Oh, oh, oh. It's okay, we just wanna share."

Stormbringer approaches and chases them.

"It's a Lightning Dragon!" Kid Wu yells.

"We can see that!" Cole says.

"You said they were our friends!" Kid Wu says.

"I was wrong! They're mean! Keep running! They're a lot bigger than I remember too. Run! We'll take cover. Uh, uh, in there!" Cole says.

They ran in a cave and Cole blocks the entrance, using his super strength.

"That was a learning experience." He says.

"What is this?" Kid Wu says.

He looks at paintings on the walls. Jasmine and Cole walked over to him to look at it.

"I don't think we're the only ones in this realm." Jasmine says.

"We need to warn the others." Cole agreed.

Kai holds up a torch as Zane fixes the radio.

"No sign of Cole and Jasmine. Or Wu for that matter." Kai says.

"Jay, what are you doing?" Mintayla asked.

"It's my new video game console. I built it myself." Jay says as he plays his "game" on a piece of wood. "Ugh. Eh."

Even though he still isn't used to Jay being the calm one right now, he looked at Zane. "Uh-huh. Is it working?"

"It's working!" Zane suddenly says, getting Mintayla to look over as well.

"Really? Jay, do you believe it?" Kai asks.

"Ain't no video game console with unlimited plays." Jay says.

"You hear that?" Mintayla asked, as sounds of static came from the radio then a voice.

On radio, a man's voice was heard. "In place—"

"Is it a message?" Jay asked, suddenly curiously as he walked over to them.

"On my count." The voice said again.

"From Ninjago?" Jay asked.

"Have mark? Waylay."

"It doesn't sound like it's coming from Ninjago. It's possible we've intercepted a transmission originating from this island." Zane says.

"Who do you think it is? Oni?" Jay asked.

"Mark too. Waylay. Waylay now."

"Who's Mark? And what's a waylay?" Kai asked.

"A mark is another way of saying "target." And a waylay is an ambush." Zane says.

"Ambush?" Kai asked.

"They're talking about us! We gotta go!" Mintayla realized.

"Where?" Jay asked, slowly starting to panic as they all started running away.

"Just run!" Mintayla says, already knowing who it was.

They all kept running.

"Where are they?" Kai asked.

"I don't have a visual." Zane says before he suddenly got captured.

"Zane!" Jay yells, just when a chain grabs him. "Kai? Minty? Aah!"

"Jay!" Both of them yelled. But it was too late since they both got grabbed. "No!"

Lloyd fights PIXAL and her Samurai Mech.

"Embrace your power. Before you can use it, you must find it within." Nya says.

"Come on." Lloyd says, trying to use his element but nothing happened, giving PIXAL the chance to restrained him with chains.

"Fight it, Lloyd. Be stronger than what holds you back." Nya says.

"Let me out." Lloyd says.

"Fight it!" Nya says.

"I—I can't. I can't! Just let me out of these stupid chains, okay?" Lloyd said, giving up after he couldn't free himself. Nya unties him. "I can't."

"Or won't? You're not the only one who lost everything. I lost my friends. I lost my boyfriend. My brother. Poppy lost her friends. They'd want us to fight." Nya said.

"What if—What if—What if my powers don't ever come back?" Lloyd says, Poppy walks over to them and gives his hand a reassuring gentle squeeze.

"Then we fight on with what we have." Poppy tells him gently.

"And we build what we don't. We get stronger. Each and every day. But we need you to believe in yourself." Nya says.

"I watched the Bounty get crushed to pieces. And the others... They all gave their powers to save my life. And I-I couldn't do anything. All I could do was watch." Lloyd says.

"There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of them. But as long as I have my power, and breath in my body, I'm going to protect you. And you are going to defeat your father. Because what else is there for us to do? Give up? I don't give up." Nya says.

"Then maybe you should lead the Resistance." Lloyd says.

Suddenly, Misako and Dareth rushes into the room.

"We have to leave." Misako says.

"Like, pronto." Dareth says.

"What is it?" Nya asks.

"Garmadon's forces are sweeping the entire block." Misako says.

"And we're not talking brooms and dustpans, but a full-on battalion." Dareth says.

They leave, and the Sons of Garmadon checks their hideout. Mr. E finds food and PIXAL's mech.

"Ooh, they're close. Spread out and make a five-block perimeter. We'll box 'em in." Killow says.

The Resistance tries to escape.

"We have to go the other way." Nya says.

"They're coming this way too." PIXAL says.

"We're blocked in." Misako says.

Lloyd looks at the rooftops and grabs ahold of Poppy's hand, making her blush. "Do you think we can all make it to the top?"

"Uh. Gonna be honest with you. You might have to carry me." Dareth says.

"No time." Nya says as they all hide instead.

"Hold. Let's keep moving." Killow says as they leave.

"That was close." Misako says.

Dareth pants. "If I were a lemon, I'd be lemonade."

"Let's get out of here." Nya says.

They all started leaving when something caught Lloyd's and Poppy's attention.

"The Bounty. This is where it was destroyed." Lloyd says.

"We have to move on. We're all that's left." Nya says.

Lloyd finds a portrait of himself with his friends and finds a tea leaf on the back of it.

PIXAL stares at it. "It appears to be a tea leaf. Traveler's Tea."

"I only see one thruster. Do you see the other?" Lloyd says.

Nya looks for it and gasps. "And there's only one sail. I see the anchor but no rudder. This is only half the ship. That means—"

"The other half is somewhere else." Poppy says.

"They could still be...alive." Lloyd says.

They cheer but are surrounded by Sons of Garmadon. On instinct, Lloyd brings Poppy closer to him for protection.

"Everyone get outta here. I'll hold them off." Dareth says.

"Dareth, there's too many!" Nya says.

"I told you the Brown Ninja would give his life to protect you. I may be slow and out of shape, but I keep my word. Aah!" Dareth says.

Karloff hits Mr. E before he could attack.

"Back in Metalonia, it is not polite to scare weak man." Karloff says.

"Karloff?" Nya asked.

"Hello, gorgeous." Shade says, appearing next to Nya.

"It's been a while—but it looks like—you—could use our help." Griffin says, running around and hitting the Sons of Garmadon.

"The Elemental Masters." Lloyd says.

Skylar looked out the window of the truck that she was driving. "Get in."

"Skylar." Lloyd said at the sight of his old friend.

"How did you know?" Nya says.

"Let's just say we've had our ear to the ground." Skylar says.

"PIXAL, we need the mech." Lloyd says as everyone else jumps onto the garbage truck.

Poppy looks at Lloyd and holds his hand. "You thought we were alone in this. We have friends."

Cole, Jasmine, and Wu returns to their campsite but don't see anyone.

"Guys? Hello? We've got dinner! Some weird vegetables or fruit, or something like that." Cole says.

"Where's the flying ship?" Kid Wu says, pointing out that the Bounty was gone.

"That's not a good sign." Jasmine says.

"Tire tracks. They lead this way." Kid Wu says, following the tracks.

"Where are you going?" Cole asks.

"To find our friends." Kid Wu says.

Cole and Jasmine look at each other before they caught up with Kid Wu. Their hands touched for a quick minute before they looked at each other and quickly pulled away, looking away with shy looks on their faces.

Meanwhile, the others are being lead into a lair, shackled and blindfolded, by the Dragon Hunters.

"Ooh, are we playing hide and seek?" Jay says.

"How do you come up with hide and seek from this?" Mintayla asked.

A Dragon Hunter tries to push Kai to his knees

"Get your mitts off me! Argh!" Kai struggles against the Hunter, but is easily restrained.

The four of them are pushed to their knees. Since Kai couldn't see anything with the blindfold on, he was worried about his teammates but mainly worried about Mintayla. All he wanted to know if she was okay.

"Careful!" Zane says.

Three Hunters remove their blindfolds, letting them see their surroundings. When Kai notice that Mintayla was next to him, he calmed down, glad to see that she was okay.

"Lost...are we?" Iron Baron smirks.

The Hunters start laughing
