Jasmine, Mintayla, and Poppy watched in secret as Harumi and Lloyd handed out food to the children even though neither one of them liked Harumi, especially Poppy since she was crushing on Lloyd. They followed Harumi and Lloyd as the two finished handing out the food and started walking towards the bridge.

"Can I ask you a question? Do you enjoy being a princess?" Lloyd asked.

"Everyone thinks being a princess is supposed to be easy, and wonderful, and I guess it's okay, but a lot of the time, it's really hard." Harumi says, Poppy mimicking her with a annoyed look while they hid.

"Tell me about it. Not being a princess, I mean, being the green ninja." Lloyd says.

"We have to live up to a role that was bestowed upon us. We never chose these mantels we hold." Harumi says.

"I know. It's hard to live a normal life. At least I get to wear a mask, but you—" Lloyd began.

"I wear my own masks. Sometimes painted, sometimes a kidnapper of princesses! Muahaha!" Harumi teased, pulling her hoodie on.

"Or maybe it's because she's the Quiet One." Poppy mumbled.

"In my defense, it was my first day," Lloyd defended, they looked over and saw the Sons of Garmadon harassing someone kids.

"We must leave." Harumi says.

"These people have enough to worry about; they shouldn't have to be bullied by low level street thugs," Lloyd says.

Harumi stopped him from stepping forward, "Don't. If you try to stop them, you'll reveal us."

Lloyd sees their shirts' logo and gasps.

"What's wrong?" Harumi asked.

"That's the same symbol I saw before. The Sons of Garmadon. He was my father." Lloyd says.

Harumi stopped him from stepping forward again, "No! You said it yourself. They are only low level thugs. They don't know anything. They only take orders. It's the person who gives them that scares me."

"I have to do something."

Then the Samurai VXL approaches the Sons of Garmadon.

"Or you could let it Samurai X take care of it." Harumi says.

"Step away from the pedestrians." Samurai X says.

"Samurai X? Let's split!" They run away and the children cheer.

"It's good to know the ninja aren't the only ones protecting Ninjago." Lloyd stated.

"Remember, kids, look out for one another. And stay safe," Samurai X then hoped back into the vehicle and drove off.

"Who is Samurai X?" Harumi said.

"I wish I knew. Princess—" Lloyd began.

"Please, call me Rumi." Harumi says.

"'Please, call me Rumi.' Ugh! I don't know how much I can take—" Poppy began to said.

"Poppy, wait, you're gonna—" Jasmine began, only for Poppy to lose her balance and accidentally stepped into view — right into Lloyd's and Harumi's view.

What's this? What's going on? First, Harumi and now, Poppy. Is this what love is? Did Lloyd really like Harumi or did it just feel like she was just a naturally LEGO being? But this... this was different from when he first saw Harumi. He just saw Poppy, so why did this feel so different from when he saw Harumi?

Harumi didn't know why but she didn't like how Lloyd was staring at Poppy. That was how he looked at her when he first saw her. So, why was he looking at Poppy the same way? Wait. Why did she even care? It's not like she even cares about him.

"Um... hi." Poppy said, trying to break the awkward silence that filled the air.

"Hi..." Lloyd says, staring at her with the same look when he first saw Harumi. "Um... I'm Lloyd... and this is Harumi."

"I... I'm Poppy," she said, Jasmine and Mintayla then stepped into view since it wasn't use hiding anymore. "And... um... these are my friends... Jasmine and Mintayla."

Lloyd and Poppy stared at each other, not even bothering to look away from each other.

"Yes, you should be home, your highness."

Harumi gasped. "Hutchins!"

"May I ask what you are doing outside the palace?" Hutchins asked.

"Rumi and I were just going for a walk." Lloyd defended his new friend, yes, friend.

"Rumi? A walk?" Hutchins asked.

"It was my idea. Please don't be angry with Lloyd." Harumi said.

"It's troubling you see you two are on a first name basis. The streets are not stage at night, your highness. I must insist you return with me, at once." Hutchins says, grabbing Harumi and taking her back to the palace.

"So... are you girls gonna be okay?" Lloyd asked. "I can make you sure you get home safe if you want,"

"We'll be okay." Poppy assured him with a soft smile. "Maybe we'll see each other again."

Lloyd didn't know why but he smiled at the thought of that, "Yeah, I'd like that. So... see you around?"

Poppy smiled and nodded, "See you around."

And with that, Lloyd headed back to the palace as well. "See you around? Isn't this screwing up the show from the way it was originally supposed to be?" Mintayla asked.

"I mean, we already met Lloyd. Besides, we know what Harumi is gonna do and how it's gonna break his heart. I wanna be there for him." Poppy says.

"You just want to show Harumi that she doesn't deserve him... which she doesn't." Jasmine corrected.

"That and I want to be there for Lloyd,"

The next morning, the ninja were training. "Moonlit walks on the canal, sharing food. Sounds a lot like a date," Cole says, after Lloyd had told them everything that happened last night; even about Poppy, Mintayla, and Jasmine.

"It was not a date." Lloyd corrected.

"A date: a social or romantic engagement. Often involving a meal or an intimate setting." Zane says.

"You can't argue with a nindroid!" Jay laughed, before adding. "Come on! Which girl is the lucky one? Harumi or uh, Poppy?"

"Look, if you like this girl, you're gonna have to step up your game." Kai said.

"What do you mean game?" Lloyd asked.

"It means one's ability to charm. You need to convince her why you are the most logical mate." Zane says.

"If you want to impress her, you gotta act tough. Like, flex your muscles and stuff. Break things." Cole said as he demonstrates by breaking a training equipment using Spinjitzu. "Phew."

"Pfft! No way! You gotta make her laugh. Just ask Nya. She couldn't resist my sense of humor," Jay says, only for Nya to trip him during training.

"It's an acquired taste." Nya says.

"Don't listen to them. You gotta act cool. Like you don't even care," Kai says.

"But I do." Lloyd admits.

"A-ha! So you admit it!" Jay says.

"Okay, stop. All of you are really not helping him. Look, just be yourself. It's so much easier than trying to be someone you're not." Nya says.

Cole then trips Lloyd with his sledgehammer, "Haha! Got ya!"

Though Lloyd could only wonder when he'd see Poppy again.

Lloyd goes inside the palace and hides.

"What were you thinking, Harumi?" The emperor asked.

"You are a member of the Royal Family of Ninjago." The empress told her.

"You can't just go gallivanting off with a ninja whenever you want. It's undignified." The emperor said.

"Not to mention dangerous," the empress says.

"But he's not just a ninja—" Harumi began.

"You are royalty. He is not," emperor says.

"I'm sorry. I have dishonored our name and our house." Harumi says.

"No, Harumi. We're sorry. We all have a role to play. And yours is in this palace. Your heart mustn't interfere." Emperor says.

Harumi then runs away and gasps when she sees Lloyd, then continues her way.

"Rumi..." Lloyd began.

"If you know what's good for you, stay away from you." Hutchins told him before leaving.

"What happened?" Nya asked.

"I can be myself, but not everyone can be so lucky."

"Guys, we've got a big problem. Blast Sap— There's Blast Sap—I saw a—"

"Cole, you're not coming in. You have a bad signal." Lloyd says.

"We gotta get everyone out of here. The whole place is rigged to explode. It was Hutchins!"

The palace then explodes before Kai and Nya could enter and the Sons of Garmadon attacked.

Ultra Violet laughed. "What a beautiful night for a little mayhem!"

"I didn't even get your—name," Kai says, his head falling onto the ground.

"Let's leave the boys out of this. Hm?" Nya said, taking out her trident only to get kick back and for Kai to catch his sister.

The Sons of Garmadon then enter the palace. Lloyd saw Hutchins and pushed him against the wall.

"You did this! You helped him!" Lloyd accused.

"I had nothing to do with this." Hutchins denied.

"Cole said he saw you in the tunnels. With the explosives!" Lloyd added.

"Whatever your friend saw, it wasn't me. I have served this house for the better part of my life, and have sworn to protect the Royal Family. Watch out!" Hutchins says, he tackles Lloyd, saving him from Ultra Violet's sai.

"You saved me." Lloyd says.

"Does anyone have eyes on the Princess?"

Eventually, Zane came into the room with Harumi following behind him as he freezes Ultra Violet.

"You're okay."

"But what about the mask?"

Mr. E heads for the mask.

"Whoever you are, you should have brought more help." Jay says as Kai, Nya, and Cole enter the scene.

"Hands in the air." Kai says.

Mr. E then takes out the red mask.

Jay gasps. "The Mask of Vengeance!"

Mr. E puts it on and grows two more arms.

"Really? Four arms? Pfft. Like that's new." Jay says.

The ninja then fought him but it was no use. Mr. E then grabs the Mask of Deception but Kai threw fire at it, causing for the mask to turn into black ash.

"Uh, I think my brother just destroyed the Mask of Deception."

"What?" Lloyd asked.

"That one was a fake. I procured the real one from the vaults below," Hutchins said, pulling out the real mask.

"A fake?" Harumi asked.

"Forgive me, your highness, it is the Mask of Deception. I wasn't sure if I could trust the ninja. But I do now," Hutchins says, revealing a hidden passage under the throne and gave the mask to them. "Take it. And get the Princess out of here!"

"But what about my parents?" Harumi asked.

"I'll find them." Hutchins says.

"I was wrong about you." Lloyd says.

"Go!"

Lloyd and Harumi then left through the passage and made it outside. Lloyd passed the mask into Harumi's arms and steals a bike as he hopped on. "Get on!" He told her.

Harumi got on and held on, just as Lloyd drove off with Violet and the Sons of Garmadon following. "They're right behind us!" Harumi says.

"Hold on." Lloyd says.

Lloyd slowed the engine down and turned the lights off before using a truck to hide, as the Sons of Garmadon drove past them with Violet. Then they escaped but Violet did noticed and caught up to them.

"Her again? Keep your head down." Lloyd says.

But when the two rode past, Harumi had lost the mask 'on accident' and Ultra Violet gets it.

"We have to get it!" Harumi says, before seeing that they were outnumbered.

"We have to get out of here." Lloyd says.

Lloyd then drove off with the Sons of Garmadon following again. This time, he drove to the docks and didn't stop.

"It's a dead end!" Harumi shouts.

"But we're not dead yet!" Lloyd says, as the motorcycle they were on lands onto a ship, which doesn't go unnoticed by three girls. "This way, Princess."

"Bad call. Can't hide from me, ninja." Violet says.

Back on the ship, Lloyd took the cover off of one of the computers.

"Lloyd?"

"Poppy?" Lloyd says, looking over to see the girls step forward. "How'd you find us?"

"We saw the jump you made on the bike." Mintayla explained.

"By the way, that was a really cool jump you made." Poppy said.

Lloyd couldn't help but rub his neck shyly, "It was nothing." He said, not knowing why he was so nervous around her.

Harumi didn't like the looks between the two again. "What are you thinking? We can't get away from them in this thing." Harumi interrupted.

"Hey, now. This "thing" still has a few surprises in her." Lloyd says, trying to turn the computer on.

"Lloyd! They're not gonna just let us sail away." Harumi says.

The computer turned on for a second but then off, causing Lloyd to kick it. After he kicked it, the computer turned back on.

"Who said anything about sail?" Lloyd smirked.

Then, they fly away from the Sons of Garmadon.

"Whoa. I've never seen the city from this high before." Harumi says, staring down at the city.

"Welcome to the Destiny's Bounty, everyone." Lloyd said, smiling at Poppy.

Then they go to pick up the others who don't aren't with the empress, emperor, and Hutchins — which could only made that they were gone; everyone knew that.

"The emperor and empress? Where is Hutchins? Did they—" Harumi began to ask.

"I'm sorry, Princess. They didn't make it."

Harumi doesn't say anything but turns to the destroyed palace.

"What about the mask?"

Lloyd shakes his head.

"I promise you, we'll find the people responsible for this." Kai says.

"Once again, I am alone." Harumi says.

"You're with us now. And we'll make sure to find out who is behind all this. They are not going to get away."
