I'm here guys, as promised 😊❤️

Song for this chapter is 'Wherever I go' from Hannah Montana Soundtrack. Media above. (It's an old song ooo)

Oya, leggo......✨✨✨

~GIWA~

"I just wanted to ask you to go to prom with me, Giwa."

My heart dropped for a second and I blinked. Stared wide eyed at him.

I'm sorry, what?

He smiled, laughed softly and took my hand, watched my every reaction and studied me closely with those hazel eyes of his' that made me forget my name. I was temporarily frozen, then when it hit me, my eyes moved in shock to his hand that were holding mine. "So, is it a yes or a no?"

"Yes!" I mentally cursed myself immediately for sounding so damn desperate!

Stupid, stupid, Giwa...

My response earned me a smile from him. One that indirectly, cleverly, calmed me down and made me feel lighter.

"I..I didn't know you were going to ask me for Prom.." I admitted to him.

I didn't even think about Prom much. I just made up my mind to stay with Krisdana since we both, had no dates. I knew Ivandor. He wouldn't give a shit if he had to be alone for prom... So he wasn't asking me out because of the fear of being without a date... He genuinely wanted to go to Prom with me.

"It's been a while since we spoke.. I missed talking to you... like this..." He admitted, gesturing between me and him and I understood he meant that he missed talking to me in person.

And for real... He did?

"I mean, after school, I don't know if I may ever get to see you again.." He said and my heart broke for the shortest of seconds, recalling that Krisdana had informed me they were even leaving the country.

"All we have left is Prom, Giwa." He said, smiled softly. "And going to Prom with you will be something to look forward to. It will mean a lot to me, even after we graduate. Thankyou for saying yes." He said to me. I blushed. I couldn't stop myself from doing so.

Ivandor walked with me. All the way, his hands never left mine.

"It's been a while since we spoke.. I missed talking to you... like this..."

"All we have left is Prom, Giwa."

"It will mean a lot to me, even after we graduate. Thankyou for saying yes."

His words replayed in my head and that's when the realization came..

Ivandor loves me. He still loves me. He always had. He always will.

I only wondered what kind of soul he was. I couldn't fathom how, even with everything that went down, he never stopped loving. He never stopped. Was that even possible... For a human to love you that much to such a fault?

I smiled to myself. Lord knows if I'd ever get to see Ivandor again... But I was certain I would never forget him.

And as we walked, with a comfortable silence between us, completely tuning out all the excessive noise from our classmates, I wished this could last forever. I wished I could stay longer... With him.

And I knew, I knew he was thinking the same thing.

We stopped walking when the girls ran into us. As in Krisdana, Shade and Prissy.

And that's when I noticed it, our surrounding, in which I had cut off the entire walk with Ivandor. Our classmates were still hanging around, flexing, as they would call it. Friends laughed together, couples talked and had fun, and happiness was in the air... Well, alongside with music that Chika didn't stop blaring out of her speakers. I started to wonder if that speaker ever really gets low on battery.

"So? Soo??" Krisdana kept wriggling her eyebrows at the both of us - me and Ivandor.

"Kris, you're crazy!" I had to laugh. She laughed too, flipped her hair.

"Are you two prom dates now or are you not?" She asked us.

"We are, Kris. We are." Ivandor answered and the girls seemed excited about that.

They definitely planned this. Funny how it seemed that they were all certain that I would say yes. Was I really that easy to see through?

"What are they up to?" Prissy commented, a confused scowl was on her face as she looked forward, to something happening elsewhere.

We followed her eyes, looking the same direction.

Aaron and Casper were with a huge group of our set boys and I noticed that the boys were urging someone on to do something. Casper would hop out of the group, seeming to be walking our direction, but would then suddenly just speed-walk, almost even run back to the boys and I heard groans and "just go naw" coming from the boys at the group who seemed to be getting somewhat frustrated at Casper.

By this time, it was clear that they wanted Casper to come to us. I wondered why. However, what confused me even more, was why Casper suddenly seemed so nervous about walking up to us.... Casper was not a shy person.

On a side note... See someone who was begging us to be early to the main hall.

Casper finally found courage and the grinning boy walked up to us confidently.

"Hey," he quickly greeted us all, shaking hands with Ivandor and making sure to fist bump all the girls. This boy.

"Are you okay, Casper?" Krisdana was the one thay asked, taking the words right out of all of our mouths.

He laughed. "Yes, yes, yes."

Okay oo.

"I actually wanted to talk to you." He was looking at Krisdana, who couldn't even hide her confusion.

"Me." Krisdana touched her chest, gesturing to herself.

"Yes," he chuckled. "You." He nodded, pointed at her with two fingers and she backed up.

The girls laughed now. Seemed like everyone knew what was about to happen, except me.

"Goodluck, bro." Ivandor mock saluted Casper who looked appreciative.

Wait.. Wait... Is he about to.. Is Casper about to..

"Will you be my prom date?" He asked Krisdana.

The girls 'oo'd' and Casper sort of blushed. Krisdana had a sly smile on her face as she looked at Casper. She didn't say anything. She wasn't saying anything... And the boy looked like he was starting to get nervous.

"Oh yeah..?" She finally spoke. Casper nodded.

"How much?" She asked him.

Casper's face fell. "Huh?"

The girls looked at Krisdana, confused. Shocked. The babe seemed to know exactly what she was doing.

"I asked how much," she said. "How much are you paying for me to go to prom with you?" She extended a palm, demanding for money to be dropped on it.

The colour drained completely from Casper's face.

"Well.. I.. err.." he stuttered.

Krisdana broke down, laughing at him, nearly even falling down and holding her tummy. She was laughing her ass off.

We looked at her, wondering what on earth she was up to. Ivandor, beside me, laughed a little. Wait... Did he think this was funny? Krisdana was being really bad to Casper right now!

"I'm joking, I'm joking!" She shouted immediately, laughing still and Casper gave a sigh of relief. We all did too... Except Ivandor, who seemed to have seen Krisdana's antics coming.

"Ofcourse I'll be your prom date, you're sweet," she smiled at him, a smile that seemed too sweet.

Casper was too happy. When he had returned to the boys, they were all happy for him too, cheering him onn and all of that. I just shook my head at the boys and laughed.

"He's cute, isn't he?" Shade nudged Krisdana, and she just laughed.

"Yeah, he is." Krisdana agreed. "And his voice sounds like sex."

"Jesus!" Prissy exclaimed, the exact same time I shouted, "What the fuck!". And we basically just laughed it off.

After saying goodbye to Ivandor, we went back to our lodges to dress up for the night. Krisdana took care of all our make-up, while she and the rest of the girls teased me about Ivandor, asking me out for prom. Having Krisdana had to come over to our room where all the girls apparently decided to embarrass me, even in front of Chika and her friends, the other girls even joined in as well. I laughed so much, thinking my ribs would split in half.

It was worth it. Dressing up and making up with the girls was more fun than I expected. We all decided to go on a nude type of make-up, something not too flashy, but attractive. Krisdana took care of all our make-up and in the end, the girls couldn't stop taking picture and making videos, non-stop - something I had to adjust to doing, because of them.

Shade made live videos of herself, flaunting her expensive hair, as well as the curves that the woolen, grey slim fitted dress she had on, showcased flawlessly. I admired her 'fit the most. Not only was it pretty, it wasn't revealing. The top of the dress was completely covered with the same material, but something that resembled a turtle-neck crop sweater. I don't know it it all came together with the dress, or if it was a two-piece outfit. She was all sophisticated and large hoops.

Shade's outfit here oo, guys!!!💅

Prissy didn't go too out of her usual dongaree fashion. She didn't wear a dongaree exactly, but it looked like one. Instead of her usual dongaree type outfits, she instead wore a tartaned, slim fitted mini dress, right on top of a white, long sleeved, turtle neck, and she complimented her simple look with these cute stud earrings.

That's not Prissy's faceclaim, but the the outfit she has on😊❤️

Me? I was all junk jewelry, as usual. Brown tube top, Long woolen jacket, and white palazo. The girls had talked me into flaunting my natural hair for the night.

Giwa's look oo😊✌️

Krisdana decided it wouldn't ne necessary for her to pit in her all into an outfit since she was going to be backstage the entire night, changing and changing into dozens and dozens of outfits amd costumes, so she stuck to her camouflage trousers, but a different grey coloured one this time, and proudly rocked a .... Bralette? Wow, brave, Kris. Brave.

Krisdana's definition of Lazy dressing, lol.😅✨

Krisdana carried along a huge bag by her side that she explained was filled with everything she needed for the night - costumes, make-up, and so on. We both carried along our Backstage passes too.

Just as we were about to leave, I got a call from Mum, informing me that she was already here, with Nini, and I couldn't help, but be elated. However, she refused to let us come to them, claiming the night was for our fun and our friends, and not her. Mum and her wahala.

Anyways, Nini would be better off with her mates than with us though. Of course, she kept talking about wanting to sit with Jasmine and Melody in the main hall for the night.

The Girls Lodge was filled with excited girls, playing music out from the phones, making videos, taking pictures, talking out loud, gisting, screaming, and it seemsd the excitement was too much for everyone. I smiled, I couldn't blame them. This was a once in a life time thing.

We drove in Shade's limo and it was 7:49pm when we got to the main hall for the Entertainment Night. Yes, about 19 minutes later than the time Casper had begged us to be there, but atleast we made it before it got to start.

We got out of the limo to hear 'Lavida by Rema and D'prince' coming out from the hall, blasting from the hall. It was a clear indication that the show was already kicking off. The massive cars that parked around, as well as the view of the full hall from the outside, was a clear determinant again.

The newly elected Prefects of Ss2, Head Boy and Head Girl, greeted us all at the entrance door of the hall. Michael, the new head boy, made sure to compliment us all at the door, shook all our hands properly and congratulate us as the graduating students. His confidence always seemed to impress me, for some reason.

Stella and Aminah stood together by him, welcoming us with smiles and courtsey. We reciprocated their greetings, although a part of me kept wondering why the both of them were standing, together at the door. Only one of them had won the post of Head Girl.

We got into the hall, hearing Rema's part of the song, fully now and absorbing the beauty and arrangement of the hall. The entire place looked full already. Students basically filled it up. A few teachers, I hardly saw any parents. Parents didn't really show up for this.... Mainly because it was insinuated to be a student night. In Ss2, mum had dropped me and Nini off in school and left the premises, promising to be coming back to pick us up by 10pm... But since Lola was having her prom the next day, she just let us stay.

It was Nova who found us as soon as we stepped into the hall, and apparently, he was with Ivandor. Both boys looked absolutely dashing, in a way that made it obvious that they weren't even trying to hard, but somehow, still made it possible to look effortlessly good.

Ivandor appeared in a typical classy/co-operate, yet sexy type of fashion. All black, with two of his top buttons undone and a cross chain. His man bun rolled down, in the neatest, most organised bun I had ever seen on a human.

Nova's fashion was a bit weird, but fun to look at. Yellow shirt, three-quarter khaki shorts and an exxagerated hat on his head. Funny enough.. It looked good. Like I said, fun to look at.

"You girls look like you literally just dropped from Heaven!"

I playfully rolled my eyes at Nova. Ofcourse it had to be him. Always looking for the slightest opportunity to dash out compliments, like he was getting paid for it.

Anyways, Ivandor was quick to notice only me, before anyone else.... And he looked at me like I was gold. Krisdana's noticed and didn't shut up about it. Nope, trust the girl.

"Mad oo!" She quipped. "Since Giwa is the only person that my cousin is noticing, let the rest of us be getting lost oo!"

Ivandor laughed, tried explaining something to her, but she dodged his hand and pulled Prissy, along with her, moving towards the stairs that led backstage. Deliberately, she had left Shade too.... Ofcourse, she knew Nova would want to be with her.

I laughed behind at Krisdana, wondering if this was usually how happy she got whem it came to matchmaking. Sadly, I hadn't even had enough time in secondary school to even know her that well.

"You look amazing, Giwa." Ivandor said to me, as soon as we were seated. I blushed. I could say the same for him though.

"Thankyou," I said, a feeling of nervousness was suddenly upon me, as a sweet nostalgia came to me, reminding me of our first times.

Shade and Nova sat right next to us, talking freely and laughing about something that only they, found funny apparently.

"Aren't you supposed to be backstage?" Someone, a classmate, had asked them from the seats in front of us.

The question directed to them slapped me!

I was supposed to be backstage!

"Nope, I passed." Nova answered them. "Had to spend quality time with my babe tonight." He softly kissed Shade's cheek.

I blushed, mentally 'awed' at the couple.

I suddenly wished I could do same. I wished I could pass, being backstage and just spend the night with Ivandor.... But I knew I couldn't. They needed me there. Casper had begged me to be there. Not because I was performing or anything, but in his words, "Things can get rowdy.. But everyone listens to you, Giwa. You can co-ordinate the set into co-operation."

"Go." Ivandor's hand held mine.

"What?" I turned to him.

"Backstage," he elaborated. "They need you. I understand."

What the_

How did he_

His smile caught my thinking off instantly, and I temporarily forgot what we were talking about.

That was when I decided that my night may have to be divided. Between backstage and Ivandor. I didn't mind. I was ready for it.

I walked into the ladies room, backstage, to see my set girls, either dressing up in their planned fancy costumes, or trying to finish up their make-up, or something of the sort.

"Giwa!" Someone squealed as soon as I stepped into the room.

My arrival drew attention from all the girls, apparently, and everyone of them started to welcome me in with greetings, smiles, waves, hugs, and all. I reciprocated, trying my best to match the energy, but failing at some points with the over-active ones. Like Ziba, for example, who nearly jumped me. Jesus.

As the other girls gushed and complimented my look, Krisdana kept explaining to me the concepts of their planned looks whike she did one of the girl's make-ups and I figured they were preparing for the set girl's dance.

They were all identical costumes, bold face-paints, and wild make up, and I laughed under my breath. These girls were serious. Inhad to commend though. They didn't look bad.

"You look good, Kris. You all look good." I said to Kris, who I saw was already out of the 'lazy' outfit she had come here with, and rocking a dark tube top, darker trousers and socks. Her make up was half undone, I could see that she even had only one lash one, yet she was trying to tidy some girls make up.

"Oh Thankyou," she blushed proudly at my compliment.

"It was all Krisdana's idea!" Ziba informed me, shouting from where she was and the girl who was doing her make up playfully hit her to steady her. Ziba went 'ow' and the girl doing her make up started saying something about her, talking too much.

"Ofcourse, it was," Krisdana flipped her hair, before returning work on the girl's face she was making up. Some girl whose name I didn't know.

"Dabi!" One of the girls had called out to one of the other girls.

I looked to see Dabeluchi... The only girl in the room who hadn't talked to me since I walked in here. The girl just sat there on the floor, hugging her knees and typing something on her phone. She was already in costume, and had her make up on, done and dusted. Unlike the other girls, she sat quietly, cleverly distancing herself from the other girls and only paying attention to her phone.

She had quietly looked up at the girl who called her and they had a full on conversation where she didn't even talk. Just nodded her way through the entire thing and returned to her phone.

I quickly concluded that I didn't understand the girl. I could never understand her. She was in Chika's clique, yet so different from the other girls. I mean, one minute, she gets like this, shying away from the world, and the next minute, she's grinding on Acha and causing the entire class to hail her. She literally did that today in class, and honestly, I just didn't get her personality. No one really did.

Suddenly, there was banging... Loud, scary banging on the door and the girls literally jumped.

"Who, abeg! Who are you!" Krisdana screamed.

"It's us oo!" Familiar boy's voices hollered back, banging on the door more.

"Oya, Us, go back! Girl's are dressing up here!" Krisdana shouted back at the boys at the door.

The banging continued and a frustrated Krisdana turned to me. "It's Aaron and Casper. Please, find out why those morons are disturbing our peace."

I laughed, but adhered. I slightly opened the door to see the two boys and they instantly started to make noise, hailing me and joking around and I hushed them immediately.

"What is it! Why are you people here?" I asked them.

"So you won't let us in?" Aaron joked.

"Aaron Godson. Don't let me come out there and get you!" I heard Krisdana's voice coming from inside the room.

I looked at her, and back to the boys, making sure to keep the door, semi-closed, so they couldn't see inside the room.

"As you can see, Krisdana is threatning to have your head on a plate, and I'm seconding her." I said to Aaron who just laughed hysterically.

"Okay, okay, we just wanted to tell them to get ready. King Tobi is already on stage introducing the night and I'll soon be there to announce the performances. The girls are second on the list, so they should dress up faster, that's all." Casper told me.

"Sure, I'll tell them." I said.

"Oh and about Winnie? The last dancer, is she here yet?" Casper had asked.

I turned back, looking back to Krisdana in the room.

"They're asking about Winnie!" I shouted.

Krisdana froze. Stood up straight.

"Any problem?" I scowled, and I watched Kris go into a full rant on how she was utterly frustrated with the girl's attitude and cursing at her for refusing to show up early. She blew up even more when Ziba told her that Winnie was capable of not showing up.

"What's wrong with her!?" Krisdana kept ranting. "Is it because we refused to give her lead. How can she dance in front when we have people like Ziba and Dabi!?"

I had no idea what and where this was leading to... But I already sensed a complication. Funny how we hadn't even started, yet problems were arriving.

Krisdana went on and onn about "Winnie's disgusting attitude" and I thought of a solution.

"What if you guys just replace Winnie?" I suggested.

"Isn't it too late for that?" Krisdana scowled.

"Well, through what I know, you guys rehearsed the set girl's dance and the 'My power' dance drama at the same time. Wasn't anyone from the later able to pick up the dance moves?" I asked them and they thought about it.

"Prissy," one of the girls said, and my brows furrowed in confusion.

"As in, Prissy Waje?" Krisdana who also had the same confused scowl asked the girl, and she nodded.

"She literally knew all the dance steps," Another girl said and I shook my head in disbelief.

They couldn't be serious.

"Just because she has brothers who dance doesn't mean she's a dancer." I said.

The girls went onn, saying she wasn't bad, and despite me amd Krisdana's opposition, no one was on our page.

Aaron and Casper already picked enough from our conversation and already sent themselves on a mission to bring Prissy to the girls immediately.

I sighed, tired of debating, and hoped they weren't making a mistake.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch the performance because I was too busy running around, here and there, but judging through the cheers, screams and hypes that I overheard from the boys in the media room, our girls killed it!

I was sitting with Ivandor and witnessing the duet from Ella and Daniel in our set, the ex-chapel Prefects, and they were singing a soft, piano Acapella version of Monster by Shawn Mendez and Justin Bieber, and somehow, with their beautiful voices and marvelous harmony, they managed to get me in my feelings.

I cuddled up into Ivandor's arms, watching the beautiful duet on stage. He held onto me in return, and his touch felt so warm. So perfect. Like this... This was meant to be. This was where I was supposed to be. In Ivandor's arms.

"You didn't tell me your sister could sing though," I looked up to him.

He smiled down at me, laughed a little. "I didn't even know."

"Yeah, Krisdana told me." I said. "Crazy, your sister sounds like she's been singing for a while now."

"She's always stalking YouTubers who sing," he told me. "But I never thought she could actually sing."

"I was impressed when I heard her during the Sports awards. She sounds like Alessia Cara." I said.

He laughed. "Seems I'm the only one without talent in the family, right?"

I scoffed. "Says the star player and academic scholar of Castron High. Modest much!" He chuckled and shook his head at my comment.

The duet on stage was finished soon and there was a huge round of applause, by everyone in the crowd. I smiled, clapped softly, yet never left Ivandor's arms.

King Tobi, the newly elected Social Prefect, and a big guy whose name I didn't know, but whom I presumed to be the male Social Prefect came on stage and started to engage the crowd, complimenting the last performance and talking about how the night was just starting.

Can't believe these Ss2s' are now Prefects.... How time flies....

I noticed that there was sudden confusion. The pair had called for the mixed dance by the boys and girls of our set, but they weren't coming forth.

I frowned, sensing another problem going on backstage. A sigh left me as soon as I became certain that there was definitely a problem.

Giwa to the rescue again..

I had to go backstage again and this time, it was a case of the piano player. Apparently, Krisdana and Casper were doing an impromptu song and were still trying to decide who would play the piano. I rolled my eyes, already getting frustrated by them... Like, that wasn't even what was supposed to be happening now. But when they explained that the duet was supposed to be after the set dance, I understood the urgency.

In the end, I saved them once again. An Ss2 albino girl was the one who was finally decided on, to play the piano for Krisdana and Casper. Having that these people were intent on keeping me backstage, I decided to watch the Sets' dance from the media room upstairs, and I couldn't stop aweing. I blushed, noticing that Kris and Casper were paired to dance with each other......... And seriously, I began to wonder what those two were really up to.

Before leaving, I told the boys to text me if they needed anything. I mock saluted, before taking my leave.

Fortunately, they didn't bother me through out the night and I was cuddling up with Ivandor, enjoying the show and occasionally, hyping things up with Nova and Shade.

"Do you think Kris is giving Casper a shot?" I asked Ivandor, as I saw Casper and Krisdana coming to the stage that had already been set and lighted with the spotlight, hitting the chairs, kept for them, for their duet.

"Kris is a complex person," Ivandor told me. "I just pray she isn't trying to heal herself again.'

Heal herself..?

I didn't understand what that meant... But I didn't ask further questions.

Needless to say, their duet impressed me. I knew Krisdana was an amazing singer, but Casper never really registered to me as one. I never knew he could sing, and I must admit. He was good. Definitely not as good as Yure, I mean, Yure would destroy him in a vocal battle, but still... Casper was good.

His voice was a deep, mature male tenor... A perfect blend with Krisdana's voice, and I swear, I saw the way his eyes lit up, just by looking at her face and watching her sing. I wondered to myself, asking myself within just how long he had had this little crush on her.... Through what I was seeing, what he felt for her was deep.

They were singing 'If the World was ending' and that was the most beautiful sound I had heard tonight. It was just calm, warm, pleasing to listen to, and filled me, as well as everyone else in the hall with a peaceful kind of feeling. Made us want to cuddle up to each other and hold our loved ones tighter.

I concluded Krisdana was a celebrity tonight. Wehn she started her part, the entire Hall's applause nearly even overshadowed it. But Krisdana's loud singing voice had it's perks. Through out the song, she maintained a soft, addictive sound. The harmony, the blend between both voices were heavenly. Made me want to fall asleep forever and lay peacefully in a space of nothingness. Their performance moved me.

So far, I had graded my best performances for the night. The Set dance was almost a first... It was just fun to see our boys and girls dancing to 'In my Bed' by Rotimi ft Wale, and they had fun on the stage. The dance by the boys, alone, was also amost close. Not that it was a 100% stunning, it was the emotions they gave everyone, having most of the popular, cutest Ss3 boys were performing... And then again, the vibes, the effortless swag they showed off on the stage.

They danced 'Revolution' by Diplo. And it started off, with one of our set boys, literally unfolding himself out of a box and getting everyone to scream 'Jesus' everywhere. It was Acha who did it. What even made it more legendary was the fact that his older brother, who had graduated, had done the exact same thing, during their own sets Entertainment Night.

In all honesty, the 'My Power' Dance drama by Krisdana and our set girls' GOT me even more. It basically showed and represented the power of a woman in a form of a story and a cheorography, at the same time. The mute drama was engaging and the dance was stunning.

Prissy basically was the most prominent female in the mute drama and she represented the 'women' in quote. The lights kept changing and scenery kept differentiating from one setting to another, even right on stage. The way Prissy kept diasapearing into the fog and switching easily on stage, into costumes that depicted all kinds of empowering messages, and blended with the new scenes that also depicted just how far a woman can go in life if she wanted, was truly captivating.

They handled the vocals too. Ziba took the first part, literally getting dropped slowly from strings, wearing a white mens' agbada and effortlessly flaunting rap skills everyone knew her for. Krisdana took Beyonce's part. She had walked into the stage, wearing an improvised igbo fit - beads all over, with a wrapper tied, up and down - with a bunch of girls behind her, wearing almost the same thing and dancing. She killed her part perfectly, effortlessly singing, and surpringly dancing too, without even getting exhausted, or sounding exhausted, and that got everyone screaming so hard, I thought my eardrums would literally explode. Ajiro took the last part by Busiswa. Storming into the stage, wearing a masquerade outfit and spitting rapid Zulu easily, rapping Busiswa's part of the song, and having me raise an unbelieving brow. I couldn't help, but applaud with the rest of the crowd. Wow.

These girls were damn prepared. It scared me how perfect the entire thing turned out. The crowd couldn't agree more. The screams and cheers were deafening. These girls deserved it. They rocked that stage.

And that girl again... That Dabeluchi girl. Yes, the same one they called 'Dabi'. She surprised me yet again, tonight.

She had a special dance presentation with Marcus Acha, from my class. A dance drama, still. Something that was fast becoming a favorite for me to watch this night.

Needless to say, they KILLED it. It was simply creative, cute and pleasing to watch. The stage was set in the time of the olden days, and the lights that flickered gave off a black and white effect. Dabeluchi sat in the middle of two girls in our set, dressed up as maidens from back in the days. Acha - yes, the same boy who came out of a box - represented a man searching for a maiden, proudly rocking a farmer's fit and a large fulani hat on his head, as he walked around, supposedly searching for a maiden to marry.

The entire summary of the dance drama was basically he, toasting Dabeluchi, and she, not giving him attention, and at the same time, dancing with him. They danced a Spanish song I didn't know, and I marvelled at the girl's confidence. I didn't understand... How confident she was on the stage, but was so anti-social backstage, nearly burying herself into her phone even.

In the middle of the performance, the crowd went WIDE for them and people were even getting up to applaud the couple as they killed it on that stage. I enjoyed watching them. Needless to say, I was sad when their dance was over.

Yure was called last to perform and I guessed they saved the best for last. The stage was set for him and just by the mere mention of the boy's name, the crowd was already a mess, screaming, cheering, even louder than all the performances that had been done on that same stage.

Yure sat by the school's ground piano, not on the stage, but by the side of it and the spotlight was directly on him. He was singing a slow piano version of 'Wherever I go'... And old Dysney song, from Hannah Montana. A song that was so simple, yet he made such a performance of it.

I looked at this boy as he sang. Literally brought out a voice from him that left me speechless, wondering how on earth a human could sound that good. I could proudly stand my grounds and say that Yure had the best, and most addictive voice I had ever heard from a guy. I thanked God his talent was being appreciated.

And the emotion he sang with, the song, the lyrics... He picked the right song. The one that reminded us exactly of what was happening. Reminded us that we were bidding farewell to everyone around us.

🎶Here we are now, everything's about to change....

🎶We face tommorow, as we say goodbye to yesterday...

🎶The chapter is ending, but the story is only just begun...

🎶The page is turning for everyone....

I sighed, clutching Ivandor tighter and dreading having to leave. Dreading having to say goodbye after Secondary school.

Yure continued singing;

🎶So, I'm moving on, letting go..

🎶Holding on to tommorow...

🎶I've always got memories,

🎶While I'm finding out who I'm gonna be

🎶We might be apart, but I hope you always know...

🎶You'll be with me... Yeah...

🎶Wherever I goo...

My eyes brimmed with tears as this song particularly hit different. I held on, tighter to Ivandor, and I felt him do same.

🎶It's time to show the world we've got something to say...

🎶A song to sing out loud, we'll never fade away..

🎶I know I'll miss you, but we'll meet again someday..

The hall was silent. Pin drop silent for the first time tonight, with only the sound of Yure's voice, hitting those high notes effortlessly and rendering the crowd, stunned. Filled with absolute awe. I laughed softly, wiping off the tear that I felt dropping. Yure's voice had that effect on people. He knew how to paralyse an audience, make you actually forget to breathe and just temporarily send you to a different realm, leave you in a state of static shock.... Just by singing.

... And he knew the right way to sing this aong to get everybody in their feelings.

"Giwa?" I heard Ivandor's voice above me.

"Yeah?" I whispered.

"Are you.. Are you crying?" He asked me.

I stayed silent for two seconds. Sniffed. Wiped away more tears.

"No," I lied. "Yure is just an amazing singer."

.. And I'll miss you a lot, Ivan.

There was silence for him for about two seconds too. He answered, "he is." And I felt like I may have sneaked into his head, because I hear the reply in his mind, "I'll miss you too, Giwa. So much." And we stayed in each other's arms the entire night.

I don't know if it's just me, but I feel over emotional 😢😢😢❤️ Y'all, comment the name of your highschool lover who you had to part ways with🤧

Oh and if you didn't notice, Entertainment Night is supposed to be 'Social or Variety Night' (winks at those who went to a boarding school) Comment 'I have sense😂' if you noticed oo. The thing is that this is a day school, as in Castron High, but I NEEDED to include that thrill of Social/Variety night somehow and yayyy, I did.

And yeah, a senior guy in my secondary school actually came out of a box during their Set Boys dance (just as Acha did in this Giwa's own set boys dance), and BOY, I was freaked out. That set killed it that year oo. Rate their last Social Night though🔥🔥🔥🔥

And who is ready for our babies' Prom tommorow!??? Whoooooo??? We have a huge surprise tommorow oooo. Winks at I_am_Jazzy.

And who would y'all vote Prom Queen if you were in Castron High? Prissy, Chika or Kelechi? Who do you think will win Prom Queen?? And who do you think their Prom Quren will be (You will scream when you see who I picked to be their KING!!!😩😩😩❤️❤️❤️) You can comment who you think would rock Prom royalty though 😋😋

I swear, their prom is going to be hot, and sweet and fun. And it'll make you cry. I promise❤️

See you tommorow ❤️❤️
