Alright let's get in to the chapter..😊

~GIWA~

I stared at Yure blankly after hearing what he just said.

"Are you stupid?" I started.

He just stood there, looking at me with his hands in his pocket.

"What on Earth makes you think you have the right to do that?!" I spat.

"It's first period, Giwa. That girl has a class. You and I know very well that we're not supposed to punish juniors when they're supposed to be in class" he said very calmly.

I don't know why he does that. You're literally fuming and he just talks so calmly like it's not getting to him at all.

"You have no right to unpunish my girls." I said.

"The same rules apply to both girls and boys. They should be in their classes by now and not serving punishment." he easily responded.

"Didn't you see the black socks she had on? So what did you expect me to do!?She was breaking a rule!!" I shouted.

"And don't you realise you're doing the exact same thing by keeping her away from her class even when the school forbids it?" He retorted.

"I'm trying to make students obedient to basic rules! I have to have a firm hand when the time calls for it"

"Yeah like how you did with those Ss1 girls after assembly right?" He said and for the first time, his voice had an edge. "Really nice way to treat people on their first day"

His sarcasm made me even angrier. Why was he always on my case!?

"Why don't you just mind your business!" I shouted. "You're the head boy so handle the boys and stay in your lane. I'll handle my girls the way I see fit to. Stop coming into my case and be pulling some Jesus Christ savior of the world act. Stay in your fucking lane, Yure!! Is that so hard to understand!?"

He was quiet - just stood there, looking at me and not saying a word.

"And don't ever try to come between me and method of ruling ever again, Yure! I'm warning you for the last time!" I told him.

I knew some of my classmates were looking me over nastily but I didn't care.

However, Yure just sighed like someone who had had enough. Enough of me, perhaps. The giant boy just looked over to Krisdana who was still on my seat, balancing comfortably and confidently.

"Babe, please just stand up from her seat. Let's have peace in this class." he said to her.

"No way! She can't keep having things going her way!" Krisdana adamantly shook her head in refusal.

That was when Nova spoke.

"Hey hey," he lifted his hands in a geature of mixed surrender and consideration, looking like he wanted to calm the air that was thickening with tension.

"Giwa, you can sit on my seat okay?" He said, pleading with me with brown eyes.

"It's too close to that witch!" I refused, scowling at Krisdana.

"Babe, please," Yure said to Krisdana, instead. Softly. Pleading. The halfcaste girl sighed, a sigh that showed that she was reluctantly giving in. After rolling her eyes at me, she stood up from my seat... But oh, she took her time. She left slowly, didn't rush at all, moved at an exxagerated slow pace and I physically winced as I fought to slap all the races she was made up of right out of her.

I placed my bag by my seat and sat down, the moment that Krisdana had gotten lost. Hassana took her usual spot next to it, next to me, and Prissy awkwardly muttered "see you guys during break" and left the Class. I temporarily forgot she wasn't even in our class.

Nova quietly stood up and went to his usual seat position, grabbing a seat by Krisdana. The entire class that was already silenced by our little show remained still.

I didn't budge. My face remained straight as I got my books out of my locker, preparing for the next class and completely ignoring the hell out of my classmates who shot acid glares at me, whispering and talking nonsense amongst themselves. I knew what they were all saying.

Giwa Falade is such a bitch.

But who cares? It's not as if any of them could say it to my face anyway.

Yure left the class almost immediately after our fall out and as he was leaving, I saw someone walking inside the class - Shade Onam.

She walked into the graveyard silent class and sure seemed, momentarily paused, looked around, probably wondering to herself, why the atmosphere was so quiet. She also seemed conflicted, confused, probably trying to decide whether she should sit with us or not.

Well, I decided to clear her up on that one.

"You better find somewhere else to sit 'cause you're most definitely not sitting with us." I said loud and clear, to everyone's hearing.

Shade knew I was referring to her. Nova did too apparently.

"Shayde!" He called out to her. Shade turned over to his direction.

"Over here!" He added, tapping the seat by his left. She smiled thankfully and started making her way towards him.

I turned my attention away from them.

~YURE~

I walked into my noisy classroom that morning minutes after the bell for first period went. Luckily, it was an adressive period so I was guaranteed a free period.

However, I was a bit irritated after I heard what Giwa did to those Ss1 girls. That was just inhumane. Punish them if you may, just don't make them go through that kind of Social Stigma.

"DOPE ASS PARTY, BRAH!!"

I heard a voice chant, jolting me and snapping me instantly out of my thoughts.

I was barely into the class and Sean was already screaming at my face. He just happened to be one of those Art Students in my class. Apparently, In Castron High, both Science and Art students were mixed in the same class. And to be honest, they actually made the most noise. Sean, for one, found it difficult to talk without raising his voice.

"Thanks bro." I replied as we did a bro's handshake.

"For real bro. You're the real gee!!!"

I heard Marcus, who was apparently Sean's partner in crime and another art student of this class, chanting right after him. I noticed two things that surprised me concerning him. One, he was sitting on the teacher's seat by the side of the class, and two, Dabeluchi, was sitting on his laps with her arms around him like they were just making out before I came in.

Marcus and Dabeluchi? Since when?

Dabeluchi wasn't even in our class. She was in Ss3C. I knew that because her as well as her other friends who also were part of Chika Chioma's clique were all in Class C. They were the girls everyone called the Igbo Sisters. I wasn't particularly close to any of of them, but I heard their bond was as thick as blood.

But Dabeluchi barely spoke to Marcus for all I've known. Or Is it possible something happened in my party that the whole set doesn't know of yet? And could it be why Sean and Marcus are so happy about the party?

"Babyy!!" I heard Krisdana's warm voice calling after me and distracting me from the irrelevant distraction from a few minute ago.

My eyes travelled to the back of the class where she sat.... on Giwa Falade's seat.

I already started having a bad feeling about that. Krisdana just loved to get on Giwa's nerves. I wondered why Nova who cleverly chose to sit in front of ber instead, didn't stop her.

As I got to them, Krisdana got up and threw her arms around me and squeezed softly, holding me dearly like she hadn't seen me in ages. After exchanging pleasantries with Nova, I took a seat in the spare seat that wasn't Giwa or Hassanas'.

Maybe people would wonder why I didn't mind Nova being around my girl, but I knew Nova really had no other motives really.

Nova was the Mr. Nice guy of our group. Downright the most lively and social out of all of us. My guy was also most likely to be the most devoted Christian I've ever met in my life. He didn't have a dad, lost his' before he even knew him, but Nova always said that his father is God. He also didn't have any sister either, last boy out of five, yet he termed every girl as a sister. So, having anything to do with Krisdana would equal to incest then, right?

Asides that, there was this deep part of me that just didn't really bother if he did like her or not. I love Krisdana, I really do. It's been me and her against the world, since Jss2, but painfully, I had to admit that even sometimes even when I was with her, I thought about Prissy Waje... And in all honesty, It would hurt a lot more if Nova was to have anything to do with Prissy, than if it were Krisdana. This part, I never understood why.

Krisdana was an amazing girl and an even better girlfriend...

Why was I being such a jerk?

"Baby," Krisdana said, snapping me out of my thoughts. She placed her hands on my arm, soft warm hands, and rubbed slowly, looking at me with pretty, sincere eyes - perfectly slit eyes that defined her as blasian.

"I'm so sorry for not coming to your party last Friday. My mum was back at home and .."

I tuned her out at that point.

Jesus Christ! She was beautiful.

Her glowing skin, glowing mixed skin that looked like liquid gold and honey. Georgeous dark brown curly hair. Long, so long, and so full, sculpting the sides of her face and having some parts of it, falling fown to her forehead as bangs. Her eyes.. her lips... her well formed lips that looked like they must have been drawn to perfection by an artist.

I wanted to kiss her right now. As I looked at her, I easily concluded she was the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen.

.. In a way, so was Prissy...

Oh, Lord.

What is it about Prissy that just makes me unable to be completely loyal to a queen like Krisdana?

"Yure?" She said calling my attention.

I snapped out of it immediately.

"It's okay babe. It's fine really," I quickly mumbled, almost dismissively and Krisdana looked at me funny, arched a perfect brow at me.

"Were you even listening to me?" She asked.

"I got distracted I'm sorry. You're just too beautiful." I said.

My compliment caught her off-guard and she ended up blushing. I blessed her with a kiss on the lips.

"But babe on a side note, I really think you shouldn't be on Giwa's seat." I hinted, lightly pitching it in. Calmly.

She rolled her eyes by the mention of Giwa's name. Krisdana was Giwa's biggest rival - always in some form of competition. Sometimes, I thanked the heavens that Krisdana was an Arts student and Giwa was Science, If not they probably would also be at each other's throats as they were both star students.

Just then, Ivandor walked into the class, hanging his school bag in one arm. He got to where we usually sit - at another side of the class and dropped his bag on a seat there. He opened the bag thereafter and started to bring out some text books, completely ignoring all the eyes of girls in the class that were now watching him, staring, and whispering to each other.

"Yo, Fejaun!" Nova was the first to call out to him. "Do as if you did not see us oo!"

Ivandor looked up at first, startled initially, before he looked our direction and he blinked, eyes widened slightly on seeing us. I guess he didn't notice us before and I couldn't blame him. For one, we were sitting on the seats that Giwa and her clique usually occupied.

"Chill bro.." he laughed under his breath. "Why una dey sit for that place na?"

Krisdana had answered his question, giving him an unreasonable answer to why we were sitting here.

Forget Ivandor's oyinbo look - visibly, it was easy to tell he wasn't from here. Tanned skin that made it clear that he was mixed. Long, long hair that he usually packed up in a man bun or lt lose, with identical curls like Krisdanas' - the guy could speak fluent Pidgin, like he lived in the ghetto parts of Nigeria in his past life. Even if he truly wasn't from here, he was half French and half South African, but having grown up his entire life in Nigeria, he had the thick blood running through his veins.

"You, where are you carrying all those books to?" Krisdana fired at her cousin, Ivandor.

That's when I looked at him and realised that he was holding some textbooks in his hand - most likely the ones he got out of his bag earlier.

"Umm..the Library?" Ivandor said with a sly smile, grazing the corner of his lips, as if he knew the taunting that about to come with it.

"My cousin will kill himself with book!" Krisdana started it as she laughed, face in her hands.

"Dude it's the first day of School." I came in.

"Yeah, so?" He smirked, raising a questioning brow at us.

Ivandor practically lived in the library. Every chance he got, he was there studying. Class A students were usually the smartest in the set, but he and Giwa always topped this class for Science. Needless to say, he was actually a nerd. I mean, all he needed was point dexter glasses to complete. However, girls in Castron High still tripped for him like crazy.

Sadly, he didn't care. Ivandor didn't really care much about a lot of things. I'd say he was the reserved one amongst us -maybe even too reserved. That, coupled with his oozing non challance and unbothered lifestyle caused a lot of commotion and misunderstanding. However, Ivandor just had priorities that he took very seriously and those were; his family, his studies, and Sports.

" I got textbooks for Ss3." He enlightened us. "So..if you don't mind, I'll catch you guys during Second period"

With that, he left the class with the textbooks in his hand. As he got to the door, I noticed him pause for a second like something was in his way. He then moved past whatever it was and left the class. Then that's when I looked closely to see what it was, sorry, who it was, standing there; a tiny junior girl on pigtails. She just stood there, nervously, visibly shaking by the door, hesitating to come into the classroom.

"Hey!" Nova called out to her, like someone who was beckoning a tiny dog to come to them.

That boosted her self esteem and confidence, and she stepped into the class, even though, still a bit nervous, as she walked towards the seat that Krisdana was on. I watched in more confusion as she got down on her knees and stayed that way.

"Ah ah," Krisdana was confused as well.

"What are you doing?" I asked the girl immediately.

"S..Senior Giwa told me to kneel down by her seat," the girl stammered with a faint, almost unheard voice.

I scowled in anger. Just wow, Giwa.

"Stand up and go to your class now." I said to her.

She stared at me with shock and confusion registering on her face. It was clear she was struggling with a mental dillema right now. To obey me and disobey Giwa or disobey me and obey Giwa

"Stand up and go to your class." I repeated.

She looked away, nodded slowly and got up, rushing out of the class swiftly.

"Na wa for Giwa oo," Krisdana snorted.

And again I started to feel that uncomfortable feeling again. The one I felt when I walked into class and saw Krisdana on Giwa's seat. I knew Giwa was going to be mad at me for releasing the girl and at Krisdana for being on her seat.

And like I could see into the future, when Giwa came into the class, she made a huge scene out of everything. By the time she came, I was about to leave the class so I ended up nearly bumping into her. I noticed her friends behind her and as I saw Prissy, my heart sort of dropped. I was distracted for a moment, before Giwa's rude voice brought me back to earth.

"Can you move?!" She had snapped. I realised I was still infront of her. I murmured an apology and walked past her and her friends.

I didn't leave yet, because I noticed her attacking Krisdana who was on her seat - this, I knew was going to happen. Next thing, we got into an argument because of the junior girl I had released - that, I also knew would happen.

As I left the class, Shade came into the class right behind me. I wasn't ready for the drama Giwa was going to start once she saw her, so I was grateful to be leaving at that point.

But I couldn't help but think to myself..
How could one girl be so ruthless?

For my non-nigerian readers;

When I wrote "Forget Ivandor's oyinbo look", I meant "Forget the fact, Ivandor looked Foreign"

When I wrote "Ivandor could blow pidgen like kilode" , just meant he could really speak pidgen fluently (Pidgen is sort of a ghetto language only spoken by Africans)

When Ivandor said "Why una dey sit for that place na" , he meant "Why are you guys sitting over there?"

When Krisdana said "Na wa for Giwa oo" , I don't know how to explain it exactly but when a Nigerian is like "Na wa oo" or "Na wa for (something)", its basically just a way of condemning something.

If there's anything else said in this chapter that you wish for me to interpret, let me know in the comments!!!😘😘😘😘😘❤️❤️❤️
