~YURE~
As soon as the normal lights of Krisdana's room were turned on after Krisdana's "little show " with me, the first person I noticed was Prissy.
She just sat there saying nothing. Knowing her well and judging through the expression on her face, I knew she was hurt. Very hurt.
I didn't need a saint to tell me why. I instantly felt guilt nudging at my chest, but waved it off and only silently hoped no one else would notice Prissy's sudden change of attitude.
Suddenly, she cleared her throat in discomfort - getting the attention of everyone in the room.
Oh, God, no Prissy. Don't do this, please. Not here..
Next thing, she stood up, confusing everyone even more. She clearly looked uncomfortable at that point, and slightly even annoyed.
It really got me wondering.
What on Earth was she doing?
"I'm going home," she announced, causing even more confusion.
"Are you okay, Prissy?" Hassana spoke up that moment.
"Yes," Prissy replied stiffly, before leaving the room without saying a single word.
I don't know what compelled me to, but at that point, I saw myself getting up from the floor.
Krisdana's eyes first moved up to me, before Nova, who was by my left, did same. Confusion was written all over their faces, but neither said a word.
"You guys, One minute," I heard myself say.
Anyone could call me stupid at that point, but all
that was on my mind was making sure Prissy was okay. She didn't look like she was taking this all so well.
Ofcourse, I got everyone's attention then. Confusion was everywhere. Why that wasn't even my business at that point, I don't even know.
All that was on my mind at that point was Prissy Waje - only Prissy.
"Give me a minute. I'll be back," I announced, before rushing, nearly even racing, out of the room to meet up with Prissy before she left the house.
As soon as I got out of the room and into the tiled corridor, I ran.
Prissy wasn't in the corridor that meant she may have already reached downstairs already.
I ran as fast as I could until I was downstairs.
I came to a sudden halt on the brink of the stairs as I saw her, already very close to the Kitchen. Right after the kitchen was the outside corridor. If I ran after her outside, we may get the attention of the dogs. I had to stop her!
"Prissy!" I called out.
She turned back immediately at the sound of her name. Shock was written all over her face as she looked at me, wide eyed - probably surprised to be seeing me there on the stairs and not inside the room with the others.
However, her initial shock turned to anger soon after and she turned away from me from that point and walked even faster towards the kitchen to get away from me.
"No, wait!" I called out, running from the stairs to get to her.
As soon as she got at the door of the kitchen, I got close to her. Immediately, I got my hands on her arm and turned her body around to face me.
"What is it, Yure!!" Prissy snapped immediately, but in a whisper tone that couldn't be heard by those upstairs.
I backed up, surprised at Prissy's outburst.
Next thing, she got my hands away from her arm with so much fury. That shocked me even more.
"What on earth is your problem! Why did you now follow me here!? Are you okay!! Everyone up there will now start suspecting nonsense!!" Prissy whisper-screamed at me.
Damn, she was a lot angrier than I thought she'd be.
"Something may actually be wrong with your head because I don't understand why on Earth you would carry yourself down here! What exactly do you want!? What did you come here to do now! Didn't you already tell me you wanted to focus on Krisdana and that we should stay away from each other from now on? So why are you here now!!!! Why, Yure, tell me!!! Why don't you back to your girlfriend, Krisdana, so I can have my peace of mind!!"
Prissy literally just blew up infront of me.
Wow, I have never seen her this angry before.
As much as she tried to keep her voice down low as she screamed at me, I could still see the anger and hurt in her eyes.
"Prissy, I don't understand. Why did you come here if you weren't sure you could stand seeing me and Krisdana together..," I barely spoke.
Prissy face palmed in frustration, and just shook her head in disgust.
"Whatever, Yure." She proceeded to leave after saying that, but I held her hand back again into stop her.
What was wrong with me for God's sake? Why couldn't I just let her go?
I knew I wanted to start afresh with Krisdana, but here I am, still holding back on Prissy.
"Why won't you just let me be?" Prissy said to me as soon as she turned to look at me again - my hand still holding onto her arm.
This time, she looked more of sad than angry. I noticed her eyes tearing up and it broke my heart to pieces.
Yure, just let her go.
My hand was still on her, holding her.
Yure, let go of the girl.
My hands remained on her.
I couldn't let go of Prissy. Not like that. Not this way. I just couldn't.
Surprisingly, she wasn't screaming at me or fighting back to free herself. Although, her eyes were tearing up as she just looked at me.
"What do you want from me?" Prissy asked me. Her voice was almost a whisper. I let her go at that point - finally.
I didn't answer. I couldn't.
What exactly did I even want?
"Do you even know how much it hurts to see you with her?" She said again.
I couldn't say anything. I just watched her as she started to break down in front of me.
"You don't care about me, Yure." Prissy started, her voice breaking with every word.
She almost gritted her teeth, then continued, "And don't even tell me you do, because if you did, you wouldn't be taking me back and forth like you always do. One minute, you want me and the next minute, you don't. And I'm expected to just dance to your tunes all the time and hope that somehow, some day I'd have more of your heart than Krisdana does, but that will never happen and you know it!"
Hearing her talk like that had me speechless.
Is this all she had been bottling up all these while?
"You always pick Krisdana. Always," Prissy said. The way she hinted on the word 'always'.
"If Krisdana should come down here right now and somehow find out the truth about what you've been doing, you'd dump me in a heartbeat and go after her." Prissy spat out plainly.
"Yure, am I wrong?" She added, her voice threghtning to hitch. There was an edge to it that wasn't there before.
I stared at Prissy who was practically having a meltdown infront of me. Her lips vibrated as she stared at me with teary, venomscious eyes. I had never ever seen anyone look this hurt in my entire life.
"The truth is you care more about Krisdana than you do with me. That's why you can't even bare to imagine her finding out about us because you can't stand the thought of breaking her heart, but, Yure, you.. you..," her voice trailed of there and she just looked away from me and wiped the tears that were dropping at that point.
Seeing her this way broke me. I wanted to hug her there, but with the way she was right now, I didn't dare.
".. you don't even think twice about shattering me over and over again!" She completed. This time, she looked angry again. The way she looked at me, if she was given a knife, she may have stabbed me.
"Prissy, don't say that, please. I never meant to make you feel this way," I said to her.
"What difference does it make?" Prissy said, laughing a small bitter laugh and wiping her tears again, sniffing.
"I love you, Prissy. I do," The words rolled out of my mouth.
She was quiet for a while. Maybe surprised to hear the words come out of my mouth.
"You don't know what love is, Yure." She finally answered.
"If what I'm feeling for you right now isn't love, then I don't know what it is," I said.
"Prove you love me then, Yure. Prove it!" Prissy almost snapped.
It seemed like a dare. The way she said it.
I knew exactly what to do.
I just knew.
I immediately leaned in forward and pressed my lips against Prissy's lips in a kiss.
Our lips barely even made contact for a full second before Prissy pushed me away from her, with so much rage.
"ARE YOU FUCKING STUPID!!" She screamed.
Yes, she screamed.
Very loud.
I can bet you the others upstairs heard.
Oh, fuck.
"What the fuck is your problem!" She screamed again.
My mouth dropped in shock as Prissy exploded infront of me, hitting my chest like a mad woman and cursing so much at the same time.
At this point, she was uncontrollable.
Jesus Christ. What has gotten into her? This isn't the Prissy I know.
"Prissy, stop!" I said, trying to calm her down.
She was really uncontrollable. I had never seen this animalistic side of her before. What the hell?
When she was done assaulting me with everything she had, she literally stormed off.
I didn't dare following her. Not after after what just happened.
After she was gone, I stood there in shock.
It was after a few minutes, I finally decided to sink what just happened to all in. I turned around to go back upstairs, only to get the worst shock yet.
Krisdana was standing at the brink of the stairs, watching me.
"Kris!" I breathed, my heart nearly sinking into my stomach at that point.
She didn't answer. She just stood there, looking at me with an impassive expression on her face.
It only got me wondering.
How long had she been standing there?
Just then, I saw the others - Ivandor, Giwa, Nova Shade and Hassana, popping out as well, as if they were just coming out now to the scene.
"What happened? We heard screaming," Nova said amongst them, having a confused look on his face. He was probably speaking for the others. That meant they probably didn't see me and Prissy.
I wasn't sure about Krisdana though. While the others looked confused as hell, her face remained plain and impassive as she looked at me.
My heartbeat increased at that point and I thought I would die of a heart attack.
How much did she see and hear?
Did she see me Kiss Prissy? Did she hear our conversation??
"What's going on here?" I heard Ivandor speaking up at that point. The way he looked at me, It was clear he understood that I was in panic mode - even if he may not really have been able to understand why.
Giwa's eyes moved from Ivandor to me over and over. Shade did same, except in a manner that seemed like she was a bit unedged. Got me wondering hiw much she knew. Nova, however, was completely clueless. Hassana looked even more clueless than him.
That moment, Ivandor's scheming eyes moved from a mute plain-faced Krisdana to me and his focus thoroughly was on me thereon.
Squinting at me like he was getting a hint, he said, "Krisdana, what's wrong?"
Although his eyes were focused on me, the question was directed to Kris.
"You guys should go back to the room," Krisdana spoke up to the others, not particularly answering Ivandor's question.
Her eyes moved from them and back to me afterward. There was a look on her face I couldn't make out.
"I want to talk to Yure," she said, her lips going into a pause and feigning an icey expression.
That moment, I knew it was over for me.
The others adhered. Just as Krisdana told them to, they started to leave.
Soon, it was me standing face to face with Krisdana.
There was a deafening silence for a while. Everytime I opened my mouth to speak, no words came out.
"Kris..I..," I stuttered.
"What was that argument with Prissy all about?" Krisdana asked me straight up. Her face was cold.
Lord, she saw me and Prissy. How much did she see?
"W-what argument?" I stammered.
She didn't reply, just looked at me make a fool of myself as I attempted to deny now that there was no argument with me and Prissy.
"P-prissy and I w-were just talking..and..and trying to..well, trying to c-come to a c-compromise on something and..," I heard myself stammering like a fool.
Krisdana stood there looking at me, obviously not pleased with my answer.
After I was done stammering, she said nothing again. She just stood there, looking at me and saying absolutely nothing.
I stood where I was, moping back at her and literally shaking in my shoes, wondering what in heavens name was going on in her head.
Why wasn't she saying anything?
After some moments of silence from Krisdana, I just moved uneasily on the spot that I was earlier transfixed.
"Go upstairs," Krisdana said to me, after a long threghtning silence - face still as plain as ever.
"What?" I barely whispered.
"Go upstairs," she repeated plainly. She was like a programmed robot. Didn't move a muscle on her face as she spoke.
"O-okay..," I stammered.
Rubbing the back of my neck nervously, I started to make my way up the stairs that she stood at the edge of.
Why was she so calm? Did she want to stab me? No, Krisdana wasn't a psychopath.
She did absolutely nothing as I reached her and even walked past, almost brushing past in anxiety of whatever she was about to do to me.
I noticed her still standing in that spot, although her eyes were at my back as I passed her.
"Aren't you coming too?" I had to ask.
"I am," she replied promptly. "Just be going."
Jesus Christ. Okay oo.
As I walked down the corridor to the room, I felt Krisdana's eyes on me ALL the way.
She didn't do anything to me. Just stood and watched my back as I walked.
I already knew she was unto me.
Krisdana was anything but stupid. At that point, I knew she knew I had dirt on my sleeve.
I was certain she knew.
