- There's no point in trying to escape - Izzy said as she, Lizzie and Alec entered the living room where Jace was trapped in a cage trying to get out of the trap.

- The trap you're in was designed to contain a Greater Demon - Lizzie added and looked at her brother.

- Well, that's not very nice, trapping your brother in a box - Jace told them with a sly smile.

- You're not him - The blonde girl said and her husband stood next to her.

- And don't get too comfortable, because we're gonna bring him back - Alec told him.

- You and your undying love for your parabatai - Jace said and looked at Alec. - I hate to ruin your mood, but when I was sent to your family in Idris, I was a desperate kid - Jace said before Magnus entered.

- Pay no attention to him, Alexander - Magnus said to Alec.

- I became your Parabatai just to have a roof over my head - Jace provoked him further, but when he saw no reaction from Alec, he decided to provoke his twin sister. - My love sister, who always plays the hero, but the truth is that I hate you, and the news that we are siblings caused me to hate you even more

- Let me in! I'll throw you off the building! - Simon shouted and was about to punch the invisible cage with his fist but Luke stopped him from doing so.

- Come on! Come on, Simon - Luke shouted at him before they went to Magnus' office.

- The Jace in this trap is not our Jace. We need to focus. Okay? - Luke said to Simon, and a few seconds later the rest of the group joined Luke and Simon. - If the Clave finds out about Clary's wish to Raziel, we might never see her again. Okay. Do we have anyone in Idris who can give us information? - Luke asked them and they all gathered around the table.

- Well, we stole from the Clave's arsenal. So if they figured it out... - Alec started to say.

- They won't tell us anything - Izzy finished for him.

- So what's plan B? - Lizzie asked and looked at the group.

- I'll try to get more information on Clary. What's the best thing you can do? Go back to that abandoned building and see if you can find any clues - Luke said and he looked at Simon.

- No! I'm not going demon hunting while my best friend is in prison! - Simon protested.

- Simon. Clary risked everything to save Jace. You want to do something for her? Help destroy the demon that caused all this mess - Izzy told him.

- But I want to know as soon as you know anything - Simon told her.

- No problem! - Luke said.

- Hey. No one can find out about my brother's possession - Lizzie told everyone. - If Clary can keep her wish a secret, we can't ruin this - Lizzie told him, and Luke and Simon nodded before leaving the office.

- Speaking of Jace, we need to talk - Magnus told him. - And you Lizzie need to relax and rest. I've already prepared a room for you - The warlock stated.

- I think that's a good idea. This pregnancy is wearing me out, and on top of that, this whole thing with Lilith and my possessed brother - Lizzie said.

The girl went to the guest room and took a relaxing bath in the tub, which allowed her to quickly fall asleep in bed.

Lizzie slept for 2 hours before she was woken up by the strong kicks of her unborn daughter, who was exceptionally restless and active today. The blonde girl knew she wouldn't fall asleep again, so she went to the living room Magnus with her husband and sister-in-law.

- Why do you want to save Jace? - Jace asked possessed. - You can be her husband and share her bed, but if she had to choose one of us, who would she choose? Her beloved twin brother or her husband - The blonde man asked him spitefully.

- Shut up - Alec shouted at him.

- Honey, he's trying to provoke you - Lizzie told him and took a few steps back from them, as she was not taking part in the ritual. - Focus -Lizzie stated, and Alec and his sister joined hands.

- Oh, yeah. Whatever you do, don't lose focus - Jace said, when Magnus had had enough of him, so he wrapped his magic around the blonde man throat. That way, the warlock connected Jace to Izzy and Alec. - You know, your boyfriend is right. Focus is key - Jace stated Lizzie. The man placed his hands on the invisible cage and screamed before he fell unconscious to the floor.

- Jace? - Izzy asked.

- He's doing it on purpose - Alec told her.

- Yes, to prevent us from entering his mind. We have to find another way - Magnus sighed.

- I have an idea - Izzy informed them and looked at them. - Transfer me to the Institute

- Oh, brave, no more box? - Jace asked with a smile as he regained consciousness and saw that his wrists were chained.

- We needed the Malachi Configuration to catch you. We won't let you use it to hurt my brother - Lizzie told him.

- And now you think this can hold me? - Jace asked her and pulled on the chains.

- Valentine used them to hold an Angel for 25 years - Izzy replied.

- I'm not an Angel - Jace told her.

- How much longer until Magnus is ready? - Izzy asked.

- No time like the present - Magnus said and entered the living room.

- Alec, Izzy, please take care of yourselves because I don't want to lose you too - Lizzie told them and sat down in the armchair.

The girl knew that if she wanted to go with them, her husband would forbid her. And as it happened, Lizzie didn't want to listen to his monologue about why she should stay instead of going to save Jace.

- We'll watch out and save Jace - Her husband promised. - Let's do it - Alec said in a whisper and grabbed his sister's hand again. Just like before, Magnus reunited Jace, Izzy and Alec with his magic.

- No, you don't want to do this... - Jace said and their eyes turned white, meaning Alec and Izzy had entered Lizzie's brother's mind.

- Lizzie do you think putting together a crib in advanced pregnancy is a good idea? - Magnus asked after Lizzie started assembling the crib.

- Yes, because this model of crib doesn't require too much effort - Lizzie replied. - Besides, now that my husband and my sister-in-law are in Jace's mind I have to do something or I'll go crazy

The warlock was still using his magic to maintain the connection between Jace, Izzy and Alec, although his magic was getting weaker and weaker.

- Everything will be fine - Magnus said as he looked at her.

When Jonathan and Valentine died I thought I would be able to enjoy the pregnancy and then prepare for the birth - Lizzie confessed. - And now I'm close to my due date. - Lizzie, we'll save your brother and Clary, and then you'll birth daughter and be a wonderful mother - Magnus said with a smile.

- My daughter kicks too hard today as if she felt something that was going to happen - Lizzie sighed.

It's not known how much time passed, but suddenly Alec, Izzy, Magnus and Lizzie fell to the ground. Lilith entered through the balcony door.

- I don't look kindly on people who take what's mine - Lilith stated and pushed him against the wall. Then she picked up Magnus and choked him with her magic.

- Kill me. But don't hurt Alec, Lizzie and Izzy - Magnus begged her and looked at his unconscious friends.

- A tempting offer. If I wasn't afraid to start a war with your father, I would gladly accept - Lilith told him and let him go.

Magnus fell to the floor and began to breathe heavily. He was too weak, so he could only watch as Lilith disappeared along with Jace.

A moment later, Alec, Izzy and Lizzie woke up to see empty chains without Jace.

- No! - Lizzie screamed tears in her eyes, the realization that she hadn't saved her brother depressing her. The girl and her husband and sat on the floor to catch their breath. - My dear brother is with this demon

- No! She took Jace! - Alec shouted.

- I'm sorry. I couldn't stop her - Magnus told them.

An hour had passed since Jace was kidnapped, and his loved ones were still reeling from it. Alec and Lizzie were sitting on the couch, and the blonde girl head resting on her husband's shoulder, while Izzy knelt down by the chains and took one of them in her hand.

- He begged us - Alec said and looking at the broken chains. - He begged us to kill him

- All the terrible things Lilith made Jace do... He said that if she took him back, she would make it much worse for him - Izzy added and she dropping the chain on the floor before standing up.

- Now Lilith has him back, just like he said. We promised him that we wouldn't let her take him back - Alec said.

- You did everything you could - Magnus tried to comfort them.

- So why do I feel guilty and feel like I didn't do everything to help him? - Lizzie asked sadly and went to the bathroom, something she now did often.

- We promised him - Alec said.

- We have a worse problem - Lizzie said when she returned to the living room and felt the water run down her legs and onto the floor, and by a strong cramp went through her body. - Alec, our daughter wants to come into the world now - The blonde girl informed them with painfully.

Everyone looked at her and saw puddles of water on the floor.
