Lizzie was by her husband's side and hadn't left his side for a minute since man had lost consciousness. Her face was paler than usual and her eyes were red from tears.

The girl rarely showed emotion, because her grandmother had taught her since childhood that emotions were weakness. But now, when she could lose her husband and become a young widow, she didn't care if anyone saw her cry.

- It's not working - Lizzie said in despair as Magnus used his magic to stabilize Alec's condition.

- Since Lizzie's asleep, I'll go find Jace - Izzy informed Magnus and she covered Lizzie with a blanket.

- I'll stay with Alec and watch over Lizzie - Magnus said.

A moment later, Izzy emerged from her brother and Lizzie's bedroom.

Lizzie was sleeping peacefully until someone woke her up with a knock on the door.

- Isabelle, Clary is back! - Lizzie heard Jocelyn's voice.

Then Magnus opened the door and looked at Jocelyn.

After a moment the stone began to glow gold.

- What is happening? - Izzy asked terrified.

- She is falling asleep - Magnus answered sadly.

- No... Alec - Lizzie said with tears.

And there I will be buried - Jace said with a breaking voice. - May the angel do this to me - The man continued and he heard Lizzie sobbing as Alec's head fell down. Lizzie crouched down next to her husband and placed her hand on his hand.

- It's okay Alec - Jace replied when he looked at Alec. - The important thing is that you're back - Jace said as two guards handcuffed him and led him out of Magnus' apartment.

- I was afraid I'd lose you - Lizzie confessed.

- I promised you you wouldn't lose me - Alec stated as he caressed his wife's cheek and kissed her on the lips.
