And Jace put handcuffs on Jonathan's hands, and Lizzie moved away from Jonathan to make room for her brother.

- Get up! - Jace shouted to Jonathan and pushed him forward to his knees. Then he stood behind him and held the sword close to Clary's evil brother's neck. Alec came down the hill and ran to them.

- Izzy's taking too long - Jace said to Alec and his sister.

- Go. I've got it - Alec told him and Jace threw his sword to his sister before running to Clary, Izzy and Simon.

- Jonathan Morgenstern, By the Order of the Clave, you have been sentenced to death as soon as Clary's free of you. - Lizzie told him and held the sword above Jonathan's head.

Suddenly Lizzie and Alec were thrown to the ground as black wings sprouted from Jonathan's back. Jonathan raised his hand and Morgenstern's sword that was stuck in the ground fly into his hand.

- What just happened? - The blonde girl asked with a shocked expression on her face when she sat down on the ground.

- I don't know, but what he's planning is definitely bad - Alec told her.

After separating Clary and Jonathan from their twin rune, the redheaded girl took them to her brother's apartment, then moved the apartment to Alicante, although the apartment shook for a moment.

- What's going on? - Izzy asked.

- The demon towers have fallen - Jace added.

In the entire building was ringing sygnal as Lizzie and Izzy searched for Alec. They both went down the stairs and met Alec, Aline and an unknown blonde girl in the hallway.

- Alec! - Lizzie shouted and ran to her husband.

- Helen - The unknown blonde girl introduced herself.

Everyone ran to the balcony of the building and saw a terrifying sight in front of them - demons were flying in the dark sky and throwing fireballs from their mouths in the house, and they burned and exploded, the night hunters were running away from them.

And the sight of the destroyed city, broke Lizzie's heart the most, who grew up here from birth until she was 18. It was here that Lizzie experienced the best moments of her life (apart from marrying Alec and giving birth to her daughter at the New York Institute) it was experienced her first love, first kiss, first time, friendships, and more.

- The city will never be cleared in time! - Izzy shouted and together with the group ran inside the building.

- Why aren't the cannons firing? - Alec asked.

- It'll take us a moment to get them all up and running - Aline replied and they turned a corner of the hallway.

- We'll go help. Meet you here - Helen told them.

- Alive - Aline said and walked away with Helen.

Alec, Lizzie and Izzy ran in the opposite direction of Aline and Helen, then went down the stairs and out of the building. The Shadowhunters were screaming and running away from the demons who were shooting fireballs at them.

- It's starting - Lizzie said to her husband and Izzy as they readied their weapons for the demons flying towards them.

- We can do it - Her husband said.

- We can do it? - Izzy asked him.

- No problem. We're Lightwoods - Alec stated and the demons flew closer. - Come on! - The man shouted and they were ready to fight the demons and the demons in the sky suddenly exploded.

- Sorry I'm late. The traffic was hell - Magnus told them and Alec and Lizzie, Izzy turned around and saw Magnus who using his magic on the demons.

After getting rid of the demons, the spouses Lightwoods, Izzy, and Magnus went hall.

- You can't be here - Alec said Magnus'.

- I can't be anywhere else - Magnus stated, and Jace and Clary ran into the hall.

- Where's the sword? - Alec asked them.

- Jonathan destroyed it - Clary answered.

- We can't close the rift - Jace told them before they heard another explosion nearby and saw the tower explode.

- This is it, isn't it? - Izzy asked them.

- My father told me of a way to increase my power - Magnus answered and he looked at the destroyed city.

- Enough to close the rift? - Clary asked, and Magnus looked at them.

- Potentially yes. The power I need to do this can only come from one place - Magnus answered her.

- Edom? - Izzy asked him.

- We can only fight them for so long. The demons will come back if we don't close the rift. It's the only way to keep yous safe - Magnus told her.

- Magnus, you can't! - Alec protested.

- I have to do this for yous and Alexis - The warlock said and hugged Lizzie, who he started to treat like a daughter. Then he moved away from her and walked closer to the balcony so that he created a portal in the sky through which he was pulled into Edom.

Then the demons stopped appearing and the sky turned blue again. Lizzie fell to her knees and started crying and Alec hugged her while the rest of the group walked over to them and looked up at the sky where Magnus had disappeared.
