S03E15 - "To The Night Children"

Jace was smiling when he fed his niece a bottle of milk while his sister and girlfriend were eating breakfast. The three of them were sitting at a table in the cafeteria.

- Clary. What happened to Jonathan wasn't your fault - Jace said to Clary who was poking around her plate of food with her fork.

- He's still in New York, Jace. I can feel it - Clary said sadly.

- We have patrols searching the entire city. If he's still here, we'll find him. I promise - Jace tried to comfort her and Izzy sat down next to him with a plate full of food.

- Izzy, hey - Clary greeted her friend.

- Ugh, I'm so hungry - The black-haired girl stated.

Jace placed the bottle on the table so he could gently pat his niece on the back, causing her to let out a one burped. Moment later blonde man handed Alexis Lizzie.

- Where have you been all morning? - Clary asked curiously as she looked at her friend.

- So I found a data chip in Greenlaw's stomach. But it's heavily encrypted. It'll take me a while to crack it - Izzy replied quietly and stole a piece of bacon from Jace's plate.

- Let us know - Clary told her.

- Hands off my bacon - Jace said to Izzy.

- Guess you need to guard your food better - Izzy said snidely before Alec and Magnus entered the cafeteria.

- You know it's not too late to go out for breakfast, right? - Magnus said. The warlock felt uncomfortable because he heard the whispers and he see the disdainful looks of the shadowhunters on him.

- And miss pancake day? No way - Alec told him and Magnus shyly followed him to the table where his family was sitting.

- Hi - Jace said to his brother-in-law and Magnus. Alec sat down next to his wife, and Magnus next to him.

- Hi - Alec replied and kiss her wife in kiss.

- Hi - Said Lizzie. - Magnus, what are you doing here? - Lizzie asked and gave her husband a surprised look. The girl did not know that Magnus had moved into the Institute, because Alec kept quiet about it.

- Uh, where to start? I just moved out of my apartment, but unfortunately my real estate agent died a few hundred years ago, so finding a new place was a bit difficult - Magnus sighed.

- In the meantime, he will be living with us for a while - Alec added.

- Great that you informed me about it - Lizzie said with a smile and combed her daughter's hair.

- That's great - Clary stated.

- Absolutely - Jace told Magnus.

- Welcome to the Institute, Magnus - Izzy said with a smile and raised her glass of juice up.

- I'm glad I'm here - Magnus confessed, and Izzy took a sip of her glass of juice.

Magnus did the same and clinked his glass with hers.

- It's not your fault. They just don't see many warlocks here - Alec said to Magnus, when he noticed that the other shadowhunters were still looking at Magnus.

- I understand why - Magnus said and took a pancake on a plate, but a moment later he put it down. The warlock snapped his fingers and changed the breakfast in the cafeteria to something more delicious. Alexis became restless when Clary's phone rang so the redheaded girl answered it so as not to upset the little Lightwood.

- Calm down, angel - Lizzie said to her daughter. Her voice calmed Alexis, who started to fall asleep. - And now mommy will put you to bed - She whispered to her and stood up from the chair. The blonde girl was so angry at her husband, that she, didn't even look at her husband when she left the table.

- Someone's in trouble - Lizzie heard her brother joke to Alec before she left the cafeteria.

Alec was looking for his wife to talk to her. He knew he had made a mistake by hiding the information that Magnus had taken up residence at the Institute.

He found her at a table in the operations center.

- What do you want? - Lizzie asked her husband, in a quiet tone, because there were many shadowhunters in the room.

- Honey, I know you're mad at me and you have the right to be - Alec stated and stood in front of his wife. - I wanted to tell you, but...

- Alec, if you had asked me if Magnus could stay at the Institute, I would have agreed - Lizzie told him and put her hands on her hips. - But it hurt me that you didn't tell me about it, after all, we've been married for almost a year - The blonde girl confessed.

- I'm sorry, Honey - Alec told her and put his hand on her cheek.

- I forgive you, but if you hide anything from me again, you'll be sleeping on the couch for a month - Lizzie warned him. - And there will be no sex - Lizzie whispered in his ear. Her seductive tone sent pleasant shivers down his spine and a blush on his face.

- I understand - Alec told her.

- Hey, find a room - Izzy joked when and saw the sexual tension between her brother and his wife.

- Very funny - Alec stated and moved away from his wife to look at his sister. - Any survivors?

- I searched the entire area around Jade Wolf. I didn't find anyone - Izzy replied, and she, Lizzie and Alec stood at the table.

- What about Maia? - Lizzie asked her worried, who had recently learned about the vampire attack on the werewolves in Jade Wolf.

- She's not among the dead. There's no sign of her - Izzy replied sadly.

- Vampires kill werewolves. That's how wars start, Izzy - Alec noticed and clicked something on the table.

- What the hell is she doing here? - Izzy asked angrily when she saw Heidi, who entered the operations center with Underhill by her side.

- She said she had information - Undethill replied and he approached the heads of the Institute and Izzy.

- Listen - Lizzie said in a surprised tone and she exchanging a look with her husband.

- I know who massacred those werewolves - Heidi revealed and looked at their shocked faces.

The Lightwood siblings and Lizzie led Heidi to the office. The blonde girl vampire sat down on the couch, and the three shadowhunters stood in front of it.

- Why are you so willing to turn on your own clan? - Lizzie asked Heidi.

- Well, they're not my clan, not really. I heard them talking about an attack on the wolves, and I never thought they would actually do it. And now, I couldn't live with myself if I didn't say something - Heidi replied.

- How do you live with yourself, knowing you murdered that tech at the blood truck? - Izzy asked and glared at her.

- I couldn't. That's why I brought him back to life. Because I felt terrible. I... - Heidi began to stutter.

- What about Praetor Nick? - Izzy asked her another question.

- You don't understand what it's like to be drained of blood, murdered, and then to wake up days later and you have no idea where you are. You feel like an animal. Alone, and so thirsty. And I just couldn't control myself - Heidi tried to explain.

- Oh, tell me you don't believe her - Izzy told her brother who he looked at her and his wife.

- Don't be naive Alec, she was the one who took Simon's family hostage - Lizzie supported Izzy because she didn't trust the blonde girlhaired vampire who killed innocent people.

- I know. I still feel terrible about it - Heide confessed and looked down because of the remorse (faked as Lizzie believed). - Lilith talked me into it. I was actually getting better at the Praetor until your blond friend kidnapped me

- Jace... - Alec sighed.

- Can I have another chance? - Heidi asked pleadingly. - Look, I'm not saying I'm a Girl Scout. I just thought that... I hoped that yous would forgive me - Heidi said as she looked at them with hope.

- That will never happen - Izzy said firmly and felt this anger and hatred towards Heidi, so she could not forgive her for the terrible acts she committed on innocent people and wolf.

- Why? - Izzy asked her. - You forgave Rafael - Heidi stated.

- What? - Alec and Lizzie asked at the same time when they looked at each other, before at Izzy.

- She didn't tell you? - The vampire asked them and looked at their shocked faces.

- Izzy, what is she talking about? - Lizzie asked Izzy not knowing what Heidi was talking about.

- Rafael brought me back. He kept me locked up in DuMort to experiment on me. He tortured me for a few days and then your sister just let him go - The blonde girl vampire explained.

- Is that true? - Alec asked his sister in an angry tone.

- Alec, it's not that simple - The black-haired girl haired replied.

- I'm sorry, I didn't come here to start a fight. I just want to help - Heidi told them.

- You're lying, you want to get something and not be accused of those murders you committed - She told her and didn't fall for her remorse and manipulation.

- If we give you a clean slate, will you identify the vampires that attacked Jade Wolf? - Alec asked Heidi, ignoring the words of his wife and sister. The man wanted to prevent further massacres and in the war.

- It would be an honor for me - Heidi told him.

- You may want to do the right thing, but you're stupid to acquit Heidi of the murders - Lizzie stated and left the office.

After talking with Heidi, Alec, Izzy, and Lizzie gathered a team of shadow hunters in the armory to prepare to fight the vampires.

- Alright - Alec said, getting the team's attention. - This whole situation started because the last time someone tried to invade DuMort, a vampire was attacked. We can't let that happen again. So I want this done by the book - He informed them after a moment.

- Great, now he wants things done by the book - Lizzie heard Underhill whisper to another shadowhunter.

- You have been equipped with special technology, holy water. I've diluted it so it's not lethal, but it still has power - Lizzie told them, whenstanding next to her husband.

- Any questions? - Alec asked them, but no one spoke. - Good. May the Angel be with you - The man said after a moment, and the team left the armory.

- Wait - He said to Izzy, when she wanted to follow them. The black-haired girl turned to her brother and his wife. - You're not going.

- What? - Izzy asked, surprised.

- You should have told me about Raphael - Alec told her, disappointment in his voice.

- I know. Listen, Alec, Rafael is not a bad person. He just made a terrible mistake - Izzy tried to defend Rafael.

- Maybe, but he committed a serious violation of the Accords - Lizzie noticed.

- He's trying to change his life - Izzy argued.

- That doesn't change what he did - Alec stated.

- You're right - Lizzie agreed with her sister-in-law after a moment of silence. - Get me a Portal to Detroit. I'll bring Rafael myself

- I already have a team that will back you up - Alec said.

- No backup. I have to do this myself - She told him and Alec nodded before she left with handcuffs in hand.

- Do you think I did the right thing by letting her go to Rafael alone? - Alec asked his wife.

- Izzy made a mistake by not telling us what Rafael did, but you did the same to me because you hid from me the fact that Magnus lives here - Lizzie noticed.

- It's true - Alec confessed sadly. - What are you doing now?

- I'm going to our bedroom to spend time with our daughter. Right now I want to enjoy being a mother before she grows up and becomes a moody teenager - Lizzie said with a smile and kissed her husband, then dropped the armory.

Lizzie decided not to get involved with the vampires or Heidi today, so she took the rest of the day off. She was a night hunter and did her duties, but she was also a mother and wanted to bond with her little girl.

- You look so cute - Lizzie said to her daughter who daughter who was lying on the bed. The blonde girl dressed Alexis in a pink long sleeve dress with white tights and pink shoes. - And now let's see what your uncle Jace is up to - Lizzie said and the little girl laughed upon hearing the name of her favorite uncle.

Lizzie took her daughter on her hip and walked out of the bedroom with her.

- Hey Aline, what are you doing here? - Lizzie asked surprised as she met Aline on the way.

- Hey Lizzie - Aline greeted her before looking at little Lightwood. - Hey Alexis, you've grown so much - She said and stroked her hair.

- Hey, are you sure everything's okay? - Jace asked her who was running after Aline.

- Nothing that Iratze can't fix - Aline stated and she stopped in front of him and looked at him. - Although, I just got this shirt - Aline replied and pointed to her shirt with a blood stain.

- Listen, I'll send it downstairs. I'll clean it. Or better yet, I'll buy you a new one - Jace stated.

- If you're nice to me so I don't report it, it won't do any good - Aline told him.

- Aline, please. She's been through a lot - Jace begged her and he stopped her when she wanted to leave.

- Jace, what she did there wasn't normal. There's something seriously wrong with her - The black-haired girl told him.

- Aline, I know you're mad, but she's under an enormous amount of stress - Lizzie decided to defend her brother's girlfriend. - But the last thing she needs right now is for word to get out that she beat up the Consul's daughter - The blonde girl noticed and hoped that Aline would change her mind.

- She didn't beat me. I was winning until the very end - Aline stated quickly.

- Yes - Jace agreed with her, so that Aline would accuse Clary.

- If she hadn't saved my mother's life, I would have had her arrested - Aline told them. - But I swear on the Angel, if she does something like that again...

- She won't. I promise. She just needs some time to organize her thoughts - Jace assured her.

- I hope you're right - Aline said.

- Aline maybe we can go for coffee since I have the day off - Lizzie suggested. - I haven't seen you in a while, and I want to spend time with my friend. And my daughter needs to meet Aunt Aline

- That's a good idea - Aline stated with a smile.

- But first we have to do something about that stain - The blonde girl told her. - Go to my bedroom and I'll join you in a moment

- Okay - Aline told her and walked away from her and Jace.

- Jace watch over Clary because Aline might hurt her because you've probably forgotten who her mother is - Lizzie told her brother.

- I'll try - Jace promised her and she went with her daughter to the bedroom.

Lizzie and Aline and little Alexis, who was sleeping peacefully in a stroller, were walking through the park after drinking coffee at a café. Of course, both girls had weapons with them, to defend themselves against Jonathan in case of an attack.

- I don't remember the last time I took a day off - Lizzie stated when she looked at her friend and pushed the stroller.

- Before meeting Alec and having Alexis, you were a workaholic and rarely took days off - Aline told her.

- Marriage and then motherhood showed me that you can't work all the time and you have to have a private life - The blonde girl confessed and covered her daughter more with a blanket.

- Being a mother, head of the Institute and a wife suits you very well. You're more cheerful and relaxed - The black-haired girl stated. - When you were the head of the Paris Institute you were tense and stressed most of the time

- That's true - Lizzie agreed with her and they both entered the Institute after the guard let then in. - And even though the little one won't let me sleep, my brother gets into trouble, and my husband sometimes annoys me I'm happy with my life - Lizzie informed her.

- I'll miss you - Aline confessed and hugged her.

- Me too - Lizzie told her and hugged her back.

- I'll miss that beautiful princess too - Aline said to her friend's daughter and picked her up as little Lightwood looked at her. The girl cooed happily and was happy with her aunt's attention.

- Hey Aline, hey honey - Alec greeted them and he walked up to them.

- Hey Alec, too bad we didn't get to spend time togetherin three - Aline said to him and hugged him as she gave Alexis back to her mother.

- Maybe we can catch up sometime - Alec suggested and moved away from her.

After saying goodbye, Aline went back to Idris, and Lizzie, Alec and Alexis went to the bedroom to sleep.
