After waking up, washing up, getting dressed and putting on makeup, Lizzie entered the kitchen, where her grandmother was sitting and eating breakfast.

- Her name is Madzie and she'll be better off with me than alone in this cruel world - Iris stated with the child in her arms. A moment later she created a portal allowing her to escape with the little girl.

The blonde immediately ran to her husband and put his head on his lap.

- You and your friends can save the redhead, but she still owes me a favor - The witch informed them as she and Madzie disappeared through the portal.

Alec groaned and lifted his head from his wife's lap, and Izzy ran to them.

- Honey, are you okay? - Lizzie asked.

- I'm fine. We have to find Clary - Alec said when he stood up from the carpet.

- Jace went looking for her and I'm sure he'll find her - Izzy said comfortingly, and the three of them went to look for Clary, until they found her in the basement with Jace.

- You're here - Izzy said. - Are you okay?

- Yes. Everything is okay - Clary replied, and Lizzie looked at her and Jace suspiciously, because she couldn't shake the feeling that something had happened before they arrived.

- Let's go back to the Institute - Alec said and put his arm around his wife.

Alec, Jace and Lizzie entered the place where the funeral of the deceased Shadowhunters and Silent Brothers was to take place. In the room, all the Shadowhunters were dressed in white.

Then Clary entered the room and Jace walked up to her.

After the funeral service was over, Alec quickly left the room and Lizzie followed him to their bedroom. They both got ready for bed and then fell asleep, cuddled up together.

Alec slept peacefully for the first time in days.
