REVIEW CRITERIA
Review Criteria
• First Impression.
This includes the title, cover, and synopsis.
Do they capture the reader's attention and entice them to dive into the book? Do they effectively represent the story?
• Characters & Emotions.
Characters and emotions are crucial in establishing a quick connection with the reader.
How are the characters? What makes them unique and memorable? Can the reader feel their emotions, or do they come across as flat?
• Plot.
The plot reflects the writer's creativity and intellect.
How is the story? Does it captivate the reader, or is it just an average tale? Is it based on overused themes and scenarios, or does it stand out with something unique and remarkable?
• Vocabulary & Grammar.
Is your vocabulary too complex, or are you confused about tenses?
It's okay! We're all human, not the Oxford Dictionary or editing software.
Not everyone is a professional writer—neither you, nor I, nor the half population of the world! We all have room to improve, and I will do my best to help with this section.
• Writing Style & Creativity.
Your writing style and creativity define you as a writer.
How do you express your feelings, ideas, and fantasies through words? What makes your writing unique? Do you play with words and create something special with them?
• Execution.
This section evaluates how well the book is executed. A strong story should have a good flow and pace.
Is your book well-structured, or is everything jumbled together?
• My Opinion.
Self-explanatory.
