That Night Naira slept crying while Kartik couldn't get a wink of sleep. He kept thinking about her reaction,her pain.

He kept thinking what to do to make her happy again. Naira didn't let him enter in camp. After sometime when he left her alone to give her some space. She opened the camp for Ayesha to enter as they were sharing the camp and laid on one side not saying anything, pretending to sleep.

It was a next day,Kartik was anxious. But nonetheless. They got on the bus to visit hotel to take their luggage.

Naira entered her room to take her luggage and Kartik followed her to talk to her.

"Naira!" He called desperately.

She turned at his voice. "What are you doing here Kartik?" She asked not wanting to face him.

"Naira! What happened? Pls don't do this to me." He pleaded.

"Go away Kartik. It's better if you stay away from me. You don't want to get hurt. Do you?" She said and continued taking her luggage.

"Why are you saying this Naira! Don't think like this. Let's talk then only we can clear the things!" He asked her holding her wrist to talk to him. To let it out what's bugging her.

"Nothing will change Kartik. Pls don't stay with me. I will end up hurting you. Pls. I don't want to see you getting hurt. Let me go!" She said jerking her hand away from his grip and went out of the room. He followed her. She locked the room and went to reception while he was still following her. He couldn't leave her in this situation. Could he?

"Kartik," a professor called him to do some formalities and he went there begrudgingly.

Naira took as a cue and got on the bus.

"Yes Sir!" He said but his mind. His attention. Everything was on Naira. He wasn't getting why was she saying that she would hurt him.

What's going on in her head?

He impatiently did what he was asked to after making Professor repeat his words for god-knows-how-many-times. And directly boarded the bus.

He searched for her. And there she was sitting with a girl. Their classmate. Far away from their group.
He couldn't believe that she is avoiding him this much.

He eyed her. She instinctively looked up. And their eyes met speaking volumes. She could see he was hurt by her this gesture. But she wanted to prevent him from something more than this. So let it be this way.

Her eyes sparkled with tears as she also didn't like this distance between them but she had to do it. For him. For them.

Naira looked outside the windows trying to distract herself from the view outside. Trying to prevent herself from thinking about him. From missing him.

They just hadn't sat together just for one time. And here she's already missing him. His intense gaze on her. His compliments. His care. Everything!

Kartik was continuously looking at her. Trying to find the reasons. The things she is going through. He knew she needed him but she is herself pushing him away but still he can't let himself be far away from her. And specially when she needed him the most.

"Kartik!" Ayesha's voice reached his eardrums. He turned to face her who was sitting beside Varun.

"Don't worry. Everything Will be fine. Maybe she just needs some space and time. Give her that. Ok?" She asked softly worrying for her both friends.

He nodded again getting busy in his thoughts. Or basically hers!

They soon reached their hometown. A cool breeze blowed past them when they got off the bus making them feel home. But still something was missing. And it was no doubt. Was each other's presence.

"Naira!" He called again. He just can't let her be like this.

She turned. *"Kartik Please."

"Atleast let me drop you to your apartment. Pls. It's quite far from here and it's getting dark. Pls. Don't refuse." He requested worried for her safety.

She thought for quite a time and then nodded. "Fine!" She said and he visibly relaxed.

Atleast she didn't refuse that.

They moved upto Kartik's house as it was in the walking distance. And Kartik went inside to take the bike followed by Naira on his insist.

"Kartik!" A familiar voice called him. And he smiled knowing very well who the person is. He turned to see his father standing at the threshold. Smiling widely upon seeing him.

Sameer, Kartik's father went to his son. His eyes roaming all over his face.

He missed his son!

His arms hesitant but longing to hug him. As if Kartik Listened his heart's will and hugged him hesitant.

They were hugging after a quite long time after their rift.

His father enveloped him in a hug. His eyes filled with tears and his lips curving more as if it was possible. But the happiness he was getting after seeing his son and getting a hug from him made him emotional and happy

Kartik felt happy, emotional and what not! It's been a long time since they hugged each other like this. Since they had their son-father moments.

It was a moment to cherish for him. Just then Sameer noticed Naira adoring them and he broke the hug.

"Namaste uncle!" She greeted him.

"Namaste beta!* He said patting her head lovingly.

"How did the trip go", he asked eying both of them.

"Great!* Naira said smiling but that smile didn't reach her eyes. He saw both of them..and understood something is wrong but decided to remain quiet.

"Ok chalo... let's go inside. I want to know how much you both enjoyed." Sameer said gesturing them to move inside the house.

"No uncle! Actually. I want to go home. I will come later on. I will have to unpack all my luggage and keep them in their place first. So today not possible!" Thank you." Naira explained.

"Ohh! No problem beta! Next time." He understood. And nodded

"Go Kartik. Drop her to her apartment!" He ordered Kartik.

"Yes Dad. Doing the same!" Kartik answered.

"Bye beta!" Sameer said walking inside the house.

"Bye uncle!"

Kartik took out his bike. And soon they were off to her apartment.

Naira didn't talk in whole journey but Kartik was determined to end all the differences between them. Soon. Very soon.
