⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Walking into view of people, she looked around frantically to depict where exactly she was. There had been many places she had been at but because she had been kept in confinement for so long, it was hard for her to tell for sure. For all she knew, she could smack dab in the middle of a city that was practically in the middle of nowhere- but the familiarization of cars beeping and honking, people yelling at each other in the distance, the smell of sewage water from the drain nearby as a cart of hotdogs were on sell was all of the indications she needed. She now knew where she had to be.

Manhattan, New York.

The one place where Hydra's main facility was held. The last time she knew, she was imprisoned in Germany; but apparently, they had other places for her and decided to make a transport with her. Bring her from place to place to see if she was absolutely needed for a specific mission. Apparently, this mission was unsuccessful seeing how she was able to get out of their grasp. Took a majority of the agents down before they could strap her down and use her as some lab rat.

The rays of the bright sun that had reached its peak in the sky, was blazing down below to light the pathways for everyone who was up and about. It was too bright for her liking but that didn't mean that it wasn't manageable. She had to wince or, more of, narrow her eyes every now and then. What she really needed at the moment though were some sunglasses; would help with blocking the sun from hitting her eyes and giving her a major headache but it still didn't help with the fact that what she wore stuck out like a sore thumb. (What you're wearing below).

A deep red near crimson-colored corset top with black pants, black thigh-high boots, deep red matte lipstick, dark eyeshadow, rings, and a few weapons. Ironic for a vampire-like her to be wearing a necklace with a cross on it. It symbolized something for her but she didn't quite remember what it was. It was a gift from someone but no matter how much she tried to remember the person who gave it to her, she just simply couldn't.

She didn't care much for all of the attention that was drawn to her due to how different her clothing was compared to how everyone else dressed. At the moment, what she was more focused on was finding a pair of sunglasses and figuring out what year it was. The last time she was out, the roads weren't how they looked now and the buildings were more complex than before; the new technology was more futuristic but she never knew the whole ideal with them.

The way she kept in contact with the people she enjoyed speaking with in the past was by letter or personally visiting them, but times have changed and now everyone had black boxes in their hands that were called cell phones. For letters, that had changed as well and now they have emails that people can access on either their phones or laptops. Basically, any electronic that gives them access to enter their emails.

She preferred to be more 'old-fashioned' most would call it. Even though she tried to keep her appearance up with the way people dressed in that particular year, she kept most of her doings the same as they have always been. All that has changed was the fact that she was now a vampire and has been ever since she was changed back in 1352. It was a mistake she had done. Wrong place at the wrong time others would put it including her brother at the time.

Learning to not be ashamed of whom she had become during that year and years after, her confidence eventually got a little boosted; even though the thoughts since then haven't changed as much as people would think. Whenever someone would think or speak of vampires, they would automatically assume the worst. In most cases that would be acceptable but she didn't fit that category a majority of the time. The only reason why she would is because of what Hydra would make her do.

"Excuse me, sir. What year is it? I appear to have forgotten." She said and the man she had stopped from continuing further to his destination, looked at her as if she were crazy or needed some form of help. "Forgotten? Do you live under a rock?" He said with a scoff as he looked at her to see if it had caused a reaction out of her for the comment but in the most serious face and a bitch ass one too, one that read that she didn't fuck around, he gulped. "Perhaps I do. Enlighten me." She mentioned and he hesitated for a moment; seeing the killer in her eyes without even knowing who or what she was. "It's 2016." He replied. "You may go now." She mentioned- her deadpan tone sending shivers down the male's back as he left.

Scanning the area around her, she found a place that looked suitable for her needs. A clothing store but she needed to do some research first and the place that came into mind was a university. The vibe she gave off wasn't one of a welcoming one but leaning more towards a dead one. She was dead metaphorically speaking but what made her different was the way she did things. Her heart still beating which was what confused the fuck out of the other vampires.

Turned out the universities in that area weren't far from her current location. Not caring much for the new technologies they had set up all over the place, she started to cross the street when the light was green; causing a car to screech. Many thought she would get hurt or run over but she didn't. The complete opposite happened instead. The car was the one to get dented.

Nearby lookers watched with both horrified eyes and fascination. Tilting her head slightly at the raging man that exited the vehicle, he walked over to her. "Hey! What the fuck is your problem?" He yelled as he gained closer, distance-wise. Her head was no longer tilted as he was nearly a foot away from her. "Did you hear me bitch?" He added and was about to backhand her when she caught it, a deadpan look on her face as she broke his wrist.

"You shouldn't be speeding, asshole." She replied before throwing him back and walking off. The male screaming in pain as he held his hand. She didn't seem fazed by it at all. Aware of it being partially her fault for getting in the way, but then again, if she wouldn't have... he would've hit a different person due to his speeding; and by taking a glance down the street, there were little children crossing the street because they were on a field trip with their class.

So in this scenario, she was the hero rather than the villain in some eyes. If people were to find out about what she really was, they would just title her as the villain all the time no matter what good she did. It would all be because she was a vampire and that portion of how people viewed vampires was what didn't sit right with her. Understanding why people would be afraid and say what they do was one thing, but to blame the whole species without knowing for sure if they were identified as good or bad, was another.

She personally didn't like being classified into either of the groups; defining her own by doing what she believed to be right, through her eyes and from her standpoint. Others wouldn't understand unless they were either in her shoes or her. No one wanted to be a vampire in the past, neither did she. It wasn't a choice and it certainly wasn't an option either. The vampire that changed her saw it as more of a beneficial profit for himself; noticing her skillset that she withheld. Someone trained her to defend herself and he liked that. It was hard to change her seeing how she put up a very good fight on her end, but a human versus a vampire; the outcome led out the same. He was faster, hence why she was the way she was.

The main purpose of her coming to being changed throughout time. Her first years were purely for survival and for growing numbers but when that failed, the purpose changed; and it kept changing to the point when Hydra was able to get their hands on her. Using her for their purposes. For their wants and needs instead of reading up on history and viewing on why she was brought up to be a vampire. Must have slipped their minds when someone stole the book.

There was a book that held information about the vampires that came before her and her own. It also held valuable information of what to use to take one down or control them for that matter. The pros and cons of being a vampire; having one in your custody. If people were even successful in capturing one. No one has and it was bound to happen seeing how times have changed; she was aware of this and did all she can to avoid it, but now she was having second thoughts. The team back at the facility intrigued her; especially the woman that was with them.

An idea played over and over on her mind as she walked towards the university. Everyone knew that a vampire with an idea can be dangerous but, a vampire with her specific skillset and abilities... can be deadly. This is why others in the past have tried to take her down but were unsuccessful in doing so. Once she thought of an idea and was set in motion, there was no stopping her. There was no point in trying but someone always tried; which led to the reasoning behind the smile she now carried on her face.
