Stevie could not have been sure as to what was happening nor how long it had been, but what she remembered was hearing voices. All of them surrounded her.
"She's losing too much blood..."
"Quick get her to the lair!"
"On the medical table, Leon!"
"Everyone out โ me and Leo need to focus!"
"Scalpel, Leo!"
"She's lost a lot of blood. We need to stitch this up... help me get her shirt off!"
She had started to wake up at this moment, whimpers of pain leaving her as she was suddenly hit by burning pain in her abdomen. Her eyes snapped open and she let out terrified noises as she was met with a bright light and two mutants standing over her with masks over their faces.
Well, in Donnie's case his goggles and a surgeon's mask covering his nose. Leo only had the surgeon's mask over his mouth.
Leo just finished bundling her tank top in his hands and tossed it away.
They started cursing when she started moving around, her eyes glistening as she looked at them terrified.
Leon, having always been better at dealing with others' emotions than Donnie quickly attempted to soothe her.
"Shh, shh, you're alright, it's okay โ I promise..." he had told her, rubbing her arm gently.
"I-I-I..." she was attempting to speak, but her voice was rough and the twins were trying to get her to stop, "I... don't... want... to... die..." she slowly got out, tears forming in her eyes, "...alone..."
Leo looked at her in worry, and without hesitation, he reached down and grasped her hand in his own. He laced his three large fingers through her own easily.
"You are not going to die," he looked into her eyes, his own speaking a thousand promises, "and you are not alone," he added with a smile, "not while I'm here," he had said the last part teasingly and it had her releasing a small laugh that ended in a coughing fit.
However, her coughing fit stopped as there was a pinch in her arm. Leo had pushed a needle into her arm, he was putting a large amount of anesthetic in her body.
"That's a lot, Leo..." Donnie muttered nervously, still focused on sewing her abdomen up.
"I know, but she already burned through the last dosage. She obviously has a faster healing rate than normal..." he told his twin who could not argue with him.
Stevie's eyes were beginning to roll to the back of her head, but she was fighting it.
"Leo?" She had murmured, her voice edging with worry as she made eye contact with blue eyes.
He stared back down and shook his head while shushing her. "No, no โ don't fight it," he said soothingly, "we'll be here when you wake up, promise โ but we gotta fix you up first..."
She could not fight any longer, falling back into a deep numbing slumber.
"Don โ what the hell is that? She's glowing!"
"I don't know, it appears to be some sort of energy source โ this needs to be analyzed!"
"Oh my God โ dude โ how many vials of her blood did you take?!"
"Only what was gushing and already leaking..."
"There's like 20, Donโ!"
"Hey! Who knows if I'll ever be able to get a vial from her after this? I can't let this opportunity go to waste!"
There was nothing after that, only a mind-numbing silence in which she was bombarded with different dreams. She dreamt of her mother. Her at the tender age of six and her mother laying with her in their backyard listening to Stevie Nicks together and coloring.
They had a big backyard, they lived on a few acres in Prescott Valley, Arizona. It was a decently small town and not much happened. They got their house for cheap too, a large house with a lot of land for less than many homes in the suburbs.
Her mother was playing music through the boom box while humming along to Stevie Nicks.
"Stevie?"
She looked up only for everything to disappear.

Stevie cracked her eyes open with a groan. Immediately, she was forced to shut them. Thankfully, wherever she was did not appear to be very bright. Her eyes adjusted quickly although her mind was still moving rather slowly.
A simple room is what greeted her. Not too big and there were only about two hospital beds, both of which sat across from each other. The only light emitted from the screen that a steady beeping which appeared to be reading her vitals.
Her eyes narrowed as she took in everything around her.
To her side and sitting on top of a dresser filled with medical supplies was her belt and other equipment. She pursed her lips upon seeing her blaster and lasso sitting next to each other, her other little gadgets still attached.
Resting on the floor next to her dresser were her familiar boots.
And was that...? Is that her tank top?
Her tank top was, in fact, lying on the dresser. It appeared to have been washed, but it was still incredibly worn and tattered with a huge blood stain in the area where she had been bleeding.
Rushing to look down, Stevie's heart stopped as she was met with her shirtless upper half. Even her bra was missing. However, she was also wrapped from her breasts all the way to just below her belly button. It was extra padded in the area where she was bleeding.
The white wrapping was decently tight and covered her breasts entirely.
Stevie could not be upset about this, rather as the memories came back she was happy that these people were kind enough to save her life. Without dropping her off at the hospital either, the last thing she needed was to be discovered as an extra-terrestrial life force.
No one liked dealing with the Earth's government. No one liked dealing with the men in black.
Her pants were still firmly in place, only her belt missing most likely for her own comfort than anything else.
Or a more than curious mutant in purple.
Her feet were only covered in dark socks, a hole ripped at the bottom of her big toe.
Stevie was thankful that someone decided to pull her curls into a pineapple. But it still brought the question: how long had she been out?
She listened intently, it did not sound like anyone else was awake as there was no sound coming from outside the room. And the door to the little medical room was open.
Therefore it was either a time when everyone was asleep or they were out. A part of her doubted they would leave her entirely on her own and rather they were simply sleeping. She would not be surprised if others' doors were opened in case her vitals started behaving badly.
Stevie found herself in a bit of a pickle then.
Casey Jones had been his name. He was the boy from the alternate future. His existence rose a few different questions because if he had changed the past and therefore changed the future, then he should cease to exist.
Stevie was not sure.
All she knew was that it is a lot to wrap around her head, especially considering she had accidentally absorbed power similar to that of a sun. She was surely a walking target by this point.
She cringed as she managed to sit up completely and tiptoe her way out of the hospital bed. The cold of the concrete ground seemed to seep through her thin socks, the hole doing nothing to help her.
Stevie was upset that she was not completely healed, the girl limping. It was a major injury, and by the bandages and ointments that had been placed on various other parts of her body, she figured her abdomen must not have been the only place she was hurt.
However, even if she was healing faster than the average human, it would certainly take a few days at least with this amount of damage. Plus, there was no telling how much blood she had lost.
Grasping her tank top, she put it on. Thankfully, her jacket was right next to it. The old red leather jacket was her mother's once upon a time. She wore Harlow's jacket everywhere when it was possible.
A small face mirror hung over the dresser and seeing her busted-up face staring back at her made her shoulders droop.
However, at those thoughts, she appeared to glow, and immediately the small scratches and any scars healed as though they were never there. Even the jagged scar that ran the length of her upper lip.
When she was a kid, she learned how to ride a bike. Not very well for she fell within the first five minutes of doing so and acquired a split lip. It ended with a scar that never went away... until now that is.
Her eyes went wide and she stumbled away from the mirror.
Visions of POWER went through her mind, images of the swirling energy. Swirling energy that she had absorbed just before falling through that portal to Earth.
Stevie struggled to catch her breath, but quickly she was examining her face in the mirror once again to make sure that this was, in fact, real. And yep, there was absolutely no sign of any scarring or any imperfections.
Other than her freckles, but that was hardly considered an imperfection rather than beauty markings.
"Shit, shit, shit," she panicked, her voice a whisper as she took down her pineapple hairstyle.
The curls fell down and stuck in every which direction. A wash day is definitely needed right about now.
"What am I gonna tell my dad? How am I even supposed to get in contact with dad?" She groaned to herself, slipping on her boots and strapping her belt through the loopholes of her pants.
Her blaster and lasso were attached soon afterward.
Pulling out her homing beacon, she mentally prayed while turning it on. Her fists clenched as that stupid red light and inefficient buzzing sound met her ears. It was still offline โ she had to fix the damn thing, of fucking course!
Earth appeared rather nice, she supposed. And the systems of her home planet were relatively simple, perhaps this was not a bad time to lay low for a while. Hack her way into renting an apartment.
New York was a great place to be, after all. She could go to college somewhere โ a prestigious art school maybe? Or perhaps communication studies, then there was fashion school. Nah, she would probably go into engineering, something to do with space.
But then she supposed: what did she do about these kind beings who had healed her? Stevie was about ready to just up and leave without any type of explanation, and truth be told she felt quite bad about that. Then again, what else was she to do?
She did not want to drag them into this mess she found herself in.
However, Casey Jones apparently viewed her as some type of mother... and she was married! Or was โ there was no connection to whatever reality that had been now. And based on what she had seen of the boy's memories, in that alternate reality there was no quintessence that she had to worry about.
No power of the sun โ no solar flare that the Kree referred to as the quintessence, the ultimate power. No flaring blue and pink energy that combusted into her thanks to a DAMN ACCIDENT!
Stevie shook her head at this, her fist clenched in rage. She jumped as it suddenly started glowing with power. Releasing her fist, the power quickly faded back into her skin.
Uhm yes, so this shit is definitely unstable and she had no clue how to control it nor what it was capable of. She did not much fancy putting these kind people (creatures?) in danger of her.
Just as she took a step ready to leave, it suddenly dawned on her that her mask was nowhere to be seen. Mentally cursing, the girl quickly looked around the small medical room only to come up short-handed.
No mask in sight.
Well, this was an issue as she was quite attached to that particular piece of equipment. She even painted it herself! Not to mention, it was kind of important in case she ever got stuck in space, it provided oxygen and protection.
They were not exactly cheap either.
She would need to find it, it must have been with one of the mutants.
Poking her head outside of the room, she was met with an empty living area.
A dark eyebrow rose at what greeted her. What exactly was this place, it looked like a lair-home type of deal but it was incredibly dark, and no sunlight drifted in. The only light came from some of the lamps randomly placed.
The couch was large and squashy, very comfortable looking. A sitting chair was placed just next to it looking even comfier. The television was left on, playing random late-night advertisements. Stevie walked out and stopped in front of the television curiously, she wanted to know what was popular for Earth right now.
Her cheeks went pink when she realized this was a sex commercial. Rock music was playing as a couple made out on a kitchen counter.
A bright pink vibrator popped up at the end.
"To finish the job when your man can't..." was the ending line and Stevie's mouth fell open at the pure audacity of it.
Shaking her head she quickly left the living area choosing to go down the first corridor she found. Various different doors were left open and upon peeking through the open red door, she was met with the biggest mutant adorned in all red.
He was snoring loudly sleeping on his stomach. He had on an adorable red onesie with a large retainer sticking out of his mouth.
Stevie was unable to keep herself from smiling at the sight, and upon a quick rake of the room, she determined that her mask was not inside. Even with the large boots, her steps were expertly silent.
The door next to the red one was orange, and she was met with the smallest mutant of the bunch. He was fast asleep under the thickets of his blankets with heavy breaths escaping him. Stevie's eyes widened at all the magnificent artwork surrounding the work.
Multiple easels with different forms of colorful artwork โ the walls were filled to the brim with spray paint. Very good spray paintings might she add. Bright colors โ some displayed his brothers fighting off evil, others of them eating pizza, and others of simply random things.
She was able to see all this due to the bright nightlight in the corner.
She smiled at this one as well, choosing to cross to the other side of the hallway where the other three rooms were. Through a brown door, she caught sight of Casey Jones sleeping in a rather bland room, although it looked new looking.
The 17-year-old seemed to sleep peacefully curled in a ball.
She smiled at him and quickly left, the guilt ate her up at the thought of leaving him so suddenly without even an explanation. Stevie saw through his memories and felt his emotions: her alternate future self had meant a lot to him. And while she was technically the same person it was still different.
After all, it's the experiences that make a person who they are.
Without certain experiences then a person could be entirely different. There was no Krang apocalypse any more, Stevie was not entirely stranded on a decaying Earth with few survivors.
Her lips were still pursed when she stuck her head through the purple-doored room.
Very cool.
Purple bio lights everywhere, cool-looking gadgets, and knickknacks. It actually took Stevie a lot of self-control to not touch anything. However, as she checked out the room keeping an eye out for her mask, she decided that this must have been the turtle in purple's room.
And Casey's memories hit her โ Donnie โ his name was Donnie. If she was correct, according to Casey's mind, she and Don had been close friends. Stevie was someone who tinkered quite a bit herself, she and Dee had bonded over that.
Donnie was; however, nowhere to be seen. His room was empty and the fan was blowing loudly keeping everything inside cool. His bed was neatly made leading the girl to believe he had not actually been in the place for a while.
With this thought in mind, she made her way to the last blue door. And she already knew who this one had to have belonged to before even looking inside.
To greet her was a room filled to the brim with neat stacks of comics and space-themed superhero posters. Jupiter Jim, Super Robo Mecha Force 5!, Star Trek, Masters of the Galaxy, Alien... is that a Spaceballs poster?
Everything about it was blue-themed, and on the dresser was a well-cared-for bonsai tree. In the center of the room was a full-sized bed with a specific mutant sleeping on it. Small snores escaped his lips, the dude was wearing a matching button-up with blue pants and a sleeping hat.
Unlike last time, there was no mask concealing his features. His bright red stripes that went over his eyes were on full display. He appeared to have pushed his blankets to the bottom of the bed as he slept on his side.
Stevie could not help but examine him harder than the others, she took a small step into the room. In that instant she understood the attraction toward him โ he was a handsome dude. And Stevie grew up around many creatures and species of the universe, so unlike many humans, she did not discriminate against being with anyone other than humans. Not to mention, she was a mixed species herself.
For a moment, Stevie wondered what it had been like in the other reality when they were married. It was odd, to stand so close to this person and barely know a thing about them other than the fact that he was her husband in some fucked-up future.
Did that still stand for the new future being created?
She was not sure and she did not have time to ponder on those thoughts for something caught her eye. Laying on the side table next to his bed was her mask.
Bingo!
She was not surprised, she supposed they were all bound to be curious about her nature. And he more than anyone had a right to be curious โ they had been (were to be?) married... apparently.
He had obviously been examining her mask before he went to sleep. And Stevie was slightly flattered by his curiosity. Her own curiosity about who he was as a being ate away at her.
But nope, definitely not right now, she could not go down this road. Not while she still had to figure out how to stop being the carrier of the quintessence.
POWER flashed in her vision.
She shook her head, grabbing her sides to stop it. It was suddenly very hot in here.
Breathing deeply, Stevie got a hold of herself before silently scooting into the room. That was enough of that, she had to get out of there... now. Not to mention it was incredibly creepy of her to just stand there watching him sleep.
His eyes were closed peacefully, his breaths deep. Stevie knew that he was in a rather deep part of his cycle, something that worked out well for her. Her footfalls were silent, her eyes and ears sharp for even the slightest hint of movement other than her.
Stevie held her breath as she was at his side, slowly reaching for the mask. She was inches away from him.
And just as she grasped at the mask, a sharp feeling of energy vibrated through her body. Stevie gasped at the burst of heat, losing her footing and falling to the side.
Directly onto Leo's bed.
She rolled over him landing in the open space next to his being. Stevie desperately closed her eyes as she cursed herself, the girl had landed on her back. Her body was incredibly tense as Leonardo woke up from the racket she just caused.
Maybe he wouldn't notice her?
However, turning her head she was immediately met with sharp blue eyes that were wide open. The turtle had not moved from his spot, and his expression softened immensely when he took in the form of the girl next to him.
Rather, a goofy smile took place.
"I must be dreaming," he muttered to himself with a fond sigh.
Stevie's eyebrows shot up.
Okay, period, she could work with this.
"Of course, you are dreaming, my handsome ninja mutant..." she was really laying it on thick but Leonardo seemed to just eat it up.
Leonardo allowed his eyes to close with a soft sigh.
"This is even better than my Jupiter Jim dreams..." he sighed and Stevie let out a noise of shock when Leo suddenly rolled himself on top of her.
She went even more rigid as he stared down into her eyes with a look that was not so goofy anymore. Rather, it was passionate and there was a fire behind it. His blue eyes flickered down to her lips hungrily before he brought them back up to her own.
"Your eyes are magnificent, amor, they reflect the cosmos itself..." Leon purred and Stevie was watching him with wide eyes of disbelief.
Okay, maybe making him believe that this was all a dream was not such a good plan. But, then again... she was not necessarily in a hurry to move. Something about the way that his larger form entrapped her felt nice: she felt safe, she felt cared for, she felt... turned on?
Stevie was unable to reply for the guy darted into her neck and started peppering it with kisses. Her eyes went even wider, but she could not deny the pleasure that spiked straight to her core.
Holy shit!
He pulled up from her neck, the long end of his sleeping hat falling down. Leon was staring at her as though she was everything he'd ever dreamed of.
"Normally in my dreams โ I'm the one on the bottom โ but I'm liking this..." he barely muttered before diving in and crashing his lips on hers.
He met her lips hungrily, and Stevie found herself kissing back. She was shocked at the sparks that his touch caused, she did not even know the dude. Well, she sort of did, she supposed.
Plus it had been a while.
Yeah โ her body was just craving any sexual touch she could get. Not to mention he was anything but bad looking.
Those were the excuses that she was telling herself, at least. The excuses as to why she met his lips just as hungrily, as to why she tugged him by his pajama shirt closer to her.
She giggled as she heard him mumble against her lips, it was something about, "best dream ever โ kissing an awesome hot space girl..."
Her legs wrapped around his waist and he groaned into her mouth while deepening the kiss.
"Screw taking you out to dinner first..." he joked against her lips,ย his large hand coming and stroking her cheek, "but I bet you'd like Seรฑor Hueso's..."
Stevie determined then and there that he was a talker. Even when he thought he was sleeping.
His hand moved to from her cheek to scrape through her bouncy curls and the other raked up the side of her body.
He started to make an odd sound, almost like a soft mixture of chirping and purring.
A churr, the red-eared slider is churring. His hand made its way under her tanktop running up the length of her waist to her ribs.
Stevie could not help but flinch as his large hand came in contact with the tight wrappings, directly where her wound was. Her flinch must have been obvious for in the next second, Leonardo froze in the midst of the heavy make-out session on top of his bed.
Pulling away, his eyes darted down to where she was wrapped, his fingers ghosting over her hurt area. Bringing his gaze back up to meet her eyes, there was a flicker of recognition within him.
Leon was done acting stupid: this obviously was not a dream.
The girl gave him her classic smile followed by a wink.
In seconds, Stevie used her legs that were wrapped around the mutant to flip them. Now she was on top straddling him.
"Not that I'm complainingโ" whatever smart-ass comment Leo had was cut off as Stevie reached beyond him and plucked her mask from his side table.
She leaped in the air and easily landed on the ground, pulling her mask on so it covered her face.
"Sorry 'bout that, you're a great kisser by the way!" She said in a cheery manner, her words slightly muffled due to the mask.
No other words were exchanged, Leon was only able to get out noises of shock as she raced out of the room. Her footfalls were no longer silent as she ran from Leon's open door into the hallway.
She paused at the sight of Raph, Casey, and Mikey poking their heads out their respective doors with tired eyes. Cursing, Stevie clicked her heels together immediately activating the rockets in her boots.
The girl shot into the air, bright blue hover mechanisms glowing and working easily at the bottom of her boots.
Casey's eyes widened โ in his time, the rocket mechanisms in Stevie's boots had long since been broken with no chance of being fixed. Not unless Stevie wanted to risk completely destroying her boots as she had told Casey many times.
Stevie spun and flipped through the air before she was gone in an instant.
"GUYS YOU'RE NEVER GOING TO BELIEVE THIS!" Leo burst from his room his hands raised high in the air. "So I may have thought Stevie was a dream and sorta maybe kinda made out with her before snapping back to realityโ"
"WHAT?! You made out with herโ?" Raph questioned with huge eyes, his tone depicting that of concern.
"Yep, yep โ and it was definitely amazing, and she complimented me on my kissingโ"
"LEO!" They all shouted in unison causing the turtle in blue to cringe.
"Sorry, I'm sorry!" Leo expressed before they all quickly followed after the alien.
Donnie who had been tinkering in his lab gasped as Stevie flew past him, the turtle's eyes lighting up at the sight of the blue rocket mechanisms in the hover boots. They were totally silent and there was nothing other than an easy blue energy that caused her to hover.
Stevie immediately made her way to a large archway, the girl pausing and hovering in place. Slowly, she clicked off the rocket mechanisms, her shoulders dropping at what she was greeted with.
Tunnels โ sewage tunnels, to be exact. Dark tunnels that seemed to lead to nowhere. If Stevie knew anything about the New York City sewage system tunnels, it is that the system was huge and easy to get lost in.
There was no way she was going to make it out of there easily, not without the help of them.
"Shit," she cursed, her shoulders tensing as she realized there were quite a few presences behind her.
"Stevie..."
She turned around to greet everyone, the turtles standing behind Casey who was staring at her tentatively. With no other option, she shoved her mask to the top of her head revealing her face.
"Well hey there, Casey Jones..."
