Jungkook's breath caught as she felt the magic pull. Her surroundings began to shift—colours blending and sounds fading—and when she opened her eyes again, the familiar sight greeted her.
Jeon Manor
She stood at the threshold, just outside the grand gates. Her hands clutched the fabric, pulling it gently to her body. The dress sparkled under the dim light of the surrounding lanterns, its elegant design catching the faint rays of light as the stars above twinkled.
The moon had not yet risen, and the sky appeared to be waiting for the perfect moment, just as she was.
Her fingers tightened around the fabric of her dress, her mind racing. The riddle had led her here, and now, in front of the gates of the Jeon manor, everything felt both familiar and unfamiliar at once.
This place, this manor, was tied to her in more ways than one.
The foundation of their life
With a soft exhale, Jungkook stepped forward, her heels making a faint click against the stone path as she walked toward the closed gates. She reached out a tentative hand, her fingers brushing lightly against the cold iron.
The gates creaked open. Jungkook's breath caught in her throat as she stepped through, and before her, a winding path unfurled.
Her gaze lowered, and scattered along the edges of the path, were buds—tightly closed, their petals curled in upon themselves.
At first, Jungkook thought they were ordinary flowers, but something about them felt different.
She paused, her heart skipping a beat as a memory suddenly clicked in her mind.
Alara.
The name whispered through her thoughts and the connection made sense—these were the flowers of Alara, blooms that would only come alive at the touch of the one who is alara.
Her.
Jungkook's hand fluttered over her chest, her breath hitching with the realization. She looked down at the buds and took a cautious step forward. The moment her heel met the soft earth, the flowers began to stir.
Tiny buds trembled, then unfurled slowly, their petals stretching toward the cool night sky. The white blossoms began to glow, their fragrance drifting through the air.
Step by step, Jungkook walked and more flowers bloomed, carpeting the path in a blanket of pure white. The buds were delicate and as they blossomed beneath her, they seemed to create a trail of shimmering stardust, glowing softly under her feet.
The soft petals brushed against the hem of her dress, adding to the magic of the moment.
Jungkook's heart swelled as she moved forward, her eyes wide with wonder. She couldn't help but smile, feeling a flutter of excitement deep within.
Every step she took, every touch of her heel against the path, made the world around her more enchanting. The flowers bloomed like pearls falling from the sky, spreading their soft fragrance on the air
It felt like a dream—a fairytale, almost—one where the world itself had come alive to celebrate her.
Jungkook's heart raced as she walked down the path, the soft white petals crunching gently beneath her heels. The flower bed took her towards the backside of the manor. She slowed as the flowers gave way to a breathtaking scene. Before her stood a majestic willow tree, its long, sweeping branches draped in delicate fairy lights.
The lights shimmered like a thousand stars caught in its graceful limbs, casting ethereal glow across the ground.
Around the base of the willow, the ground was carpeted with a soft blanket of flowers, their petals glowing faintly under the fairy lights. The atmosphere was serene and magical.
Jungkook stood still for a moment, her eyes wide as she took in the breathtaking scene around her.
The fairy lights draped across the willow branches shimmered, casting a beautiful golden glow that shined across the surface of the river. The lights reflected on the water, creating a mirror image that seemed to stretch endlessly into the night.
The river was a mirror of the night sky. Floating along the surface of the water were countless fireflies, each one flickering softly in the cool breeze, their reflections rippling in the dark water like tiny stars. Petals from the flowers scattered in the water, drifting peacefully along the current, adding more beauty to the already dreamy landscape.
The river's surface reflected the twinkling lights, its peaceful appearance belying the storm of emotions that raged within Jungkook's heart.
Her fingers trembled as she looked at the water, the same river that had witnessed a moment of tragedy, the moment that shaped so much of who they were. She couldn't help but think back to the riddle, to the memories it had triggered. "Our first meet, water meets willow..."
Jungkook's heart ached.
This place, this very spot, was where their paths had first crossed—not in joy, but in a twisted, cruel twist of fate. The same river that now gleamed with the fairy lights had been the witness to her near demise. The same waters that had nearly claimed her life had, in the end, been a silent spectator to Taehyung's determination to save her, his desire to protect the small, helpless infant.
Jungkook's hands clenched at her sides, a soft sigh escaping her lips. Her mind wandered to the present moment.
Taehyung had grown from that young boy into the man she knew and loved. She had witnessed his strength, his resolve, his care for her—but now, as she stood in the very place where their lives had intersected so cruelly, she couldn't help but be overwhelmed with a wave of gratitude and love.
The fairy lights on the willow flickered in the soft breeze, and as Jungkook's gaze moved upward, she felt the past and present merge together in a beautiful harmony.
Everything was perfect.
But where was he?
Jungkook's pulse quickened, and she instinctively held her breath as her eyes swept across the area, searching. She was so caught up in the beauty of the moment that she hadn't realized how much she had been longing for him to appear.
The scene in front of her was nothing short of a fairytale, and she couldn't help but feel that the next chapter was about to unfold in the most unexpected way.
She took a hesitant step forward, then another, her eyes darting around, hoping for a glimpse of him.
Jungkook's sharp eyes caught the glint of another note, tucked neatly within the folds of the willow tree's bark. Her pulse quickened, both from the unexpectedness of the moment and from the riddle that Taehyung had surely crafted for her once again.
A small huff escaped her lips as she reached up, brushing aside the branches delicately, her fingers trembling slightly in anticipation. She pulled the note free, unfolding it and her breath caught as she read the words.
"Now that you've seen where we began,
Step forward, my love, to where we stand.
The manor waits, its doors ajar,
Come inside, wherever you are.
In every step, I feel the ache,
To hold you close, to never break.
But time moves slow, when hearts entwine,
Come to me, my darling, and make me whole again."
Her eyes scanned the surrounding area again. The beauty of the willow tree, the soft glow of the lights, the river reflecting the stars—they all seemed to fade in comparison to the pull she felt toward the manor.
Jungkook smiled softly. She could hardly contain the bubbling joy that was threatening to overflow.
With a final glance at the note, she tucked it gently and took a step forward. Her eyes never strayed from the manor ahead, the promise of the evening beckoning her closer.
"Inside the manor..." she murmured, her lips curving into a secret smile.
Her heels clicked softly on the stone path as she walked.
As the manor drew nearer, the light from the willow tree reflecting off her dress, Jungkook's excitement swelled within her. She could hear her own heartbeat in her ears, as though it was urging her on, pushing her to move faster.
It wasn't just the beauty of the night that filled her with wonder—it was the promise of something even more special, something that only Taehyung could give her.
She reached the front gates, which stood open now, welcoming her inside. Jungkook pause for a moment, just outside the grand doors. Her fingers brushed the surface of the handle.
With a deep breath, she stepped inside, her eyes already searching for the man who had made this night, this moment, so unforgettable.
Jungkook's pulse quickened as she climbed the grand staircase. Her gown billowed around her legs like the petals of a flower in bloom, catching the faint light from the chandeliers overhead.
Her gaze was drawn to the exquisite decorations lining the steps. Along the base of polished mahogany railing, delicate red roses were entwined. Golden candlesticks stood proudly on either side of each step, their flickering flames giving off an intimate glow that illuminated her path.
Jungkook slowed her pace, letting her fingertips brush lightly against the silk-like petals of the roses. The soft glow of the candles reflected in her eyes, making them shimmer like stars caught in the depths of the night.
It was breathtaking—every detail, every carefully placed candle and flower spoke of love, of devotion, of Taehyung.
A gentle smile played on her lips as she continued climbing. The deeper she ventured into this enchanted evening, the more she realized just how much effort Taehyung had put into creating this dream-like setting.
Jungkook stepped into the grand hall, her sparkling eyes flitting around as she eagerly searched for Taehyung.
The room was breathtaking—bathed in the soft glow of hundreds of candles and chandeliers, their flames flickering like tiny fireflies suspended in midair. Rose petals cascaded down from above, swirling gently. But despite the enchanting beauty around her, her heart longed for only one thing.
Her lips puffed into a small pout as she turned in slow circles, scanning every corner.
"Where is he?" she mumbled under her breath, the anticipation bubbling inside her like an overexcited child waiting for a surprise.
Her hands clutched the sides of her dress, lifting them slightly as she took a few eager steps forward, eyes darting toward the grand piano, behind the pillars, and even toward the extravagant chandelier hanging above.
But still—no sign of Taehyung.
"This is unfair," she muttered. Jungkook shifted her weight from foot to foot, her expression filled with both impatience and excitement.
Then, as if remembering something, her eyes widened, and she quickly smoothed down her dress, fixing her necklace and tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
"What if he's watching me?" she whispered to herself, suddenly feeling a little shy.
Still, she couldn't hide the way her feet shifted restlessly, itching to find him, to run into his arms.
"Mr Kim..." she called softly, her voice laced with expectation.
No answer.
Her pout deepened. With a small whine, she clasped her hands together and swayed side to side, her cheeks puffing once more.
"Mr. Kimmmmmmmmmmmm," Jungkook sang impatiently, hoping he would appear at the sound of his title.
The grand hall remained silent except for the soft flicker of candlelight and the gentle rustling of petals in the air.
Jungkook huffed dramatically, her lips pressing together before she whispered, "If you don't come out soon, I'll—" she paused, trying to think of a worthy threat.
Just as Jungkook was about to speak, a deep, velvety voice echoed through the grand hall, sending a pleasant shiver down her spine.
"Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer, do..."
Her breath hitched as she turned sharply, her wide, sparkling eyes locking onto the sight before her.
At the top of the grand staircase stood Taehyung, bathed in the golden glow of candlelight.
Jungkook's breath caught in her throat as she watched him descend, her heart thrumming like the delicate strings of a harp plucked by the hands of fate.
Taehyung was a vision—no, a dream—draped in an all-black suit, sculpting his tall, broad frame like an artist's most cherished masterpiece.
His silk shirt was unbuttoned at the top, revealing just a teasing glimpse of his collarbone. The soft glow of candlelight bathed him in liquid gold, kissing the sharp contours of his jaw, the high arch of his cheekbones, the fullness of his sculpted lips.
His dark hair was tousled just enough to look effortlessly perfect, silky strands falling over his forehead, framing his deep, enigmatic eyes. Eyes that held galaxies, secrets, and stories untold.
Eyes that were fixed solely on her.
"Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer, do..."
Jungkook felt the world around her blur into nothingness as Taehyung descended the grand staircase, each step echoing softly through the vast hall. He moved like the slow burn of candle wax.
"I'm half crazy, all for the love of you~"
"It won't be a stylish marriage,
I can't afford a carriage..."
Jungkook felt her cheeks flush as she bit her lower lip, her excitement bubbling over at the way he was singing to her, for her.
His lips curled into a knowing smirk as he reached the middle of the staircase, his voice dipping just slightly, teasing, testing. Jungkook's fingers twitched at her sides, itching to reach out, to pull him down those remaining steps faster, to erase the distance he seemed to be stretching just to see her squirm.
"But you'll look sweet, upon the seat—"
He finally reached the bottom step, standing just a few feet away. The final words of his song dripped from his lips like warm honey, his voice weaving through the candlelit air, soft but heavy with meaning.
"Of a bicycle built for two."
Silence settled between them, wrapping around them like an embrace. The flickering candlelight danced across his features, casting golden glows over his skin, highlighting the way his gaze softened, the way his smirk faded into something deeper—something infinitely more intimate.
His eyes flickered downward, taking her in completely.
The dress he had chosen for her clung to her form in all the right places, the gemstones at her neck catching the light and gleaming like tiny fallen stars.
But it was her lips that caught his attention the longest.
Soft, plump, parted slightly in anticipation.
Jungkook swallowed hard, her hands tightening into tiny fists at her sides, her heart hammering so loudly she was sure he could hear it. "Y-You..." she started, but the words tangled on her tongue, refusing to come out.
Her wide, glimmering eyes darted up to his for just a second before she quickly lowered her gaze again, the sudden closeness making her toes curl.
Taehyung took another step, effortlessly closing the space between them, his presence overwhelming in the most intoxicating way.
Slowly, ever so slowly, he reached out, his fingertips barely grazing the back of her hand. Jungkook flinched slightly, not from fear, but from the electric jolt that shot up her arm at the simple touch.
But Taehyung didn't stop.
His fingers slid down, weaving between hers, intertwining them fully. His hold was warm, possessive in a way that made her ears burn.
"You were looking for me, weren't you?" he murmured, his deep voice laced with amusement, with knowing.
Jungkook's lips wobbled into a tiny pout as she gave the smallest nod, her fingers twitching in his hold. She tried to look at him, she really did, but his gaze made her feel dizzy, so she settled for staring at their joined hands instead.
A quiet giggle bubbled up her throat—nervous, soft, utterly unconvincing. "N-No... I— I was just—"
Liar.
Taehyung's smirk deepened, a silent chuckle escaping him as he lifted their joined hands.
Jungkook stiffened, her breath catching when he brought her knuckles to his lips, pressing a slow kiss against them. Her fingers twitched in his grasp, her knees threatening to give out, her stomach twisting into helpless knots.
"Did you think I wouldn't come for you, Daisy?" His voice was lower now, silkier, curling around her like a warm embrace.
Jungkook squeezed her eyes shut for a moment at the name, willing herself to stop blushing, but it was impossible—not when he was looking at her like that, not when his lips had just touched her skin.
"I— I d-didn't say that..." Jungkook mumbled, barely above a whisper, her voice so meek, so small, she almost wanted to bury herself alive.
Taehyung tilted his head, his expression unbearably fond, he found her shyness utterly endearing.
"Mm," he hummed, the vibration of his voice sending tingles up her spine.
Jungkook sucked in a sharp breath, her lashes fluttering as she finally, hesitantly, peeked up at him. And the moment their eyes met, her lips parted in a tiny, involuntary smile—sweet, shy, so utterly innocent despite the wild thundering of her heart.
"You always do," she whispered, her voice as delicate as the petals drifting through the air.
Taehyung's smirk faded, melting into something far softer. His fingers tightened slightly around hers before he pulled her closer, their bodies barely an inch apart. His free hand found its way to the small of her back.
Jungkook felt her breath stutter, her fingers twitching nervously where they rested against his chest. The warmth of him seeped through the fabric of his suit, making her heart race, her lashes fluttering as she peeked up at him.
"Then why did you sulk so much, hmm?" Taehyung teased, tilting his head slightly, his voice as smooth as silk.
Jungkook's lips immediately pursed again, her cheeks puffing up in quiet protest. "Because you made me wait," she huffed but her voice betrayed her, the slight wobble making it clear just how giddy she truly was.
Taehyung chuckled—a low, rich sound that wrapped around her like a warm embrace. His fingers brushed along the delicate curve of her waist, a simple innocent touch, yet it sent a shiver straight down her spine.
"Forgive me, my love," he murmured, lifting his hand to gently tuck a stray curl behind her ear. His knuckles grazed her cheek in the process, his touch so unbearably soft that Jungkook nearly forgot how to breathe.
Her hands twitched at her sides, unsure whether to push him away or cling to him tighter. She was never good at handling this—his effortless charm, the way he made her heart flutter so painfully.
Taehyung's gaze flickered down, watching as she clenched and unclenched her fingers against his chest, her entire demeanor screaming hesitance, anticipation, and the kind of overwhelming shyness that made him want to tease her more.
"I just wanted to see how impatient my Daisy could get," he continued, his voice dipping lower, more intimate, his thumb absently tracing slow, lazy circles along her wrist.
Jungkook's pout deepened, though the blush creeping up her neck told an entirely different story. She lowered her gaze, eyelashes kissing her cheeks as she mumbled, "You're so mean, Mr. Kim..."
Her small huff only made him chuckle again, the sound vibrating against her skin as he dipped his head lower—so close that she could feel his breath against her ear.
"Then let me make it up to you," he whispered, his lips brushing against the delicate shell of her ear, barely touching, yet enough to send a jolt of warmth through her.
Jungkook sucked in a sharp breath, her fingers instinctively tightening around the fabric of his coat, gripping onto him like he was the only thing keeping her from melting into a puddle.
And as she stood there, pressed so close against him under the golden glow of the manor, her heart beating so wildly it almost hurt, she realized—this night, this moment, was already the most beautiful dream she had ever lived.
Taehyung pulled back just enough to drink her in, his dark eyes tracing every delicate detail of her as if committing her to memory. His fingers flexed slightly, as if tempted to pull her even closer, to never let her slip away.
"You look..." He exhaled slowly, his gaze roaming over her from head to toe, the candlelight casting an ethereal glow over her features. "...breathtaking."
Jungkook's lashes fluttered at the praise, her fingers fidgeting with the edges of his coat, her body instinctively shifting under his heavy gaze.
She wanted to say something, maybe deflect the compliment, maybe tease him in return but the way he was looking at her—like she was something celestial, something too precious for mere words—left her completely tongue-tied.
His smirk softened into something almost reverent, his fingertips grazing the intricate fabric of her black dress.
"I knew it would suit you," he murmured, his voice dripping with quiet admiration. "But I didn't think..." He trailed off, his thumb absentmindedly tracing the curve of her waist.
Jungkook swallowed. "Didn't think what?"
Taehyung chuckled softly, his eyes flickering back up to hers, his fingers tilting her chin slightly. "Didn't think you'd completely steal the breath from my lungs."
Her blush deepened, blooming across her cheeks like a delicate rose.
His eyes darkened slightly, drinking in every little detail—the way the black silk clung to her, the way the stones at her throat shimmered under the golden glow, the way her hair cascaded in soft waves, framing her face like a masterpiece.
"This dress was meant for you," he continued, his tone laced with something deeper, something bordering on awe. "No one else could ever make it look this beautiful."
Jungkook bit her lower lip, trying—failing—to hide the way her lips curled into a shy smile.
Taehyung caught it, of course. And oh, how he adored it. His fingers found her hand again, his thumb stroking over her knuckles.
"It's unfair," he murmured, almost to himself.
Jungkook blinked up at him. "What is?"
"That you look this stunning," he said, his voice low, intimate, like a secret meant only for her. "And I have to spend the rest of the night pretending I'm not completely and utterly bewitched by you."
Jungkook's breath caught in her throat, her fingers tightening slightly against the fabric of his coat. She wasn't used to this—to him being so blatant, so utterly shameless in his admiration.
Usually, he teased, he played with words, weaving them into something playful, something she could roll her eyes at or push back against.
Her lips parted, then closed, then parted again. She wanted to say something, anything, but her mind was betraying her, short-circuiting under his gaze.
Taehyung, of course, noticed. His smirk deepened, amused by her flustered state, but there was no mistaking the fondness in his expression.
"Nothing to say, my smol wife?" he murmured, tilting his head. "No comeback? No smart remark?"
Jungkook's blush only spread further, and she instinctively tried to hide, ducking her head against his chest.
A deep chuckle rumbled through him, and he wasted no time in wrapping his arms around her, pulling her even closer.
"Shy," he mused, his lips brushing against the top of her hair. "I like it."
Jungkook whined, her fingers gripping his coat tighter. "Stop teasing me," she mumbled, her voice muffled against him.
Taehyung hummed, resting his chin atop her head. "I'm not teasing, though. I'm simply appreciating my wife."
Jungkook peeked up at him from under her lashes, her lips pressed into a pout. "You're staring too much."
Taehyung grinned, completely unapologetic. "How could I not? My wife is the prettiest in the room."
Jungkook let out a tiny whimper and hid her face again, pressing into his chest.
Taehyung laughed. "Ah, this is fun."
Jungkook smacked his shoulder lightly, her blush deepening.
But even as he teased, even as he held her in his arms, Taehyung couldn't ignore the way his own heart pounded in his chest—because truth be told, he wasn't just saying those words to fluster her.
He meant every single one.
As if the night wasn't magical enough, a soft flick of Taehyung's fingers sent delicate white flakes drifting down from above.
Jungkook gasped audibly, her eyes widening as the tiny, shimmering snow-like material fluttered gently in the golden glow of the candles and fairy lights.
Her lips parted in pure wonder, her childlike excitement bubbling over as she twirled in place, arms slightly outstretched, trying to catch the floating specks in her hands.
"Oh my—!" Jungkook squealed, turning away from him, her eyes sparkling like the very stars above. "It's snowing! It's really snowing!"
She tilted her head up, blinking rapidly as a few flakes landed on her lashes. She giggled, trying to catch one on her fingertips, only for it to melt away in the warmth of her skin.
Jungkook twirled again, the hem of her black dress flaring slightly as she reached out with both hands, trying—failing—to catch more of the delicate flakes. Her giggles were soft and airy, the kind that made Taehyung's heart stutter in his chest.
Taehyung didn't say a word. He simply watched.
Watched the way her cheeks glowed under the candlelight, how the flakes landed in her dark waves, making her look ethereal.
Watched the way her lips curved into the most beautiful smile, unguarded and bright.
Jungkook gasped again, turning toward him with wide, sparkling eyes, practically bouncing on her toes. "Mr Kim! It's snowing!" she exclaimed, as if he hadn't been the one to make it happen.
His lips twitched. "Is it?"
She nodded eagerly, rushing to grab his hand, her fingers curling around his. "It's—oh! It's so pretty!" She laughed, her happiness too big to contain. "And it feels real! How are you doing this? This is—"
She gasped again, tugging at his sleeve now, as if words weren't enough to express her delight.
Taehyung let himself be pulled, his body going completely pliant under her touch. He wanted to tell her everything.
That he had spent hours perfecting the spell, ensuring that the snow wouldn't be too cold, that it would dissolve into nothing after a few moments, leaving no mess behind. That he had done it all just to see this exact reaction—to see her this happy.
But instead, he only smiled, squeezing her hand in return.
"Do you like it?" he asked, his voice quieter now, almost shy.
Jungkook stopped bouncing, her fingers tightening around his. "Like it?" she repeated incredulously. She shook her head quickly, her eyes still sparkling. "I love it."
And just like that, his heart was hers all over again.
"How did you do this?" Jungkook breathed, her gaze flickering back to him, expecting to find that ever-present smirk of his.
But Taehyung wasn't standing anymore.
Jungkook blinked, her heart stumbling in her chest.
There he was, kneeling on one knee, one hand resting on his bent thigh while the other extended toward her—holding a bouquet unlike any she had ever seen before.
A bouquet of black satin roses.
Her breath caught, her previous excitement morphing into silence. The petals of the satin flowers gleamed under the golden light, their beauty dark and mysterious, just like him.
Jungkook's hands fluttered to her chest as she took a small, hesitant step forward, her heart pounding wildly.
Taehyung simply gazed up at her with an intensity that made her knees weak. A faint smile played on his lips, but there was something else in his expression tonight—something raw, something that spoke of the depth of his devotion.
"For my Daisy," he murmured, his voice steady but thick with emotion. "The only flower that never wilts in my heart."
Taehyung rose to his full height with the same grace that had always left Jungkook breathless. He held the bouquet, his deep, soulful eyes never leaving hers.
Jungkook clutched the fabric of her dress, her fingers fidgeting unconsciously. She stared up at him, her lips parting slightly, anticipation dancing in her doe-like eyes.
Taehyung took a step closer, the distance between them shrinking, his presence overwhelming yet comforting all at once.
"Black," he continued, lifting the satin bouquet slightly. "It's always been the color of my life. Cold. Unforgiving. Empty." His gaze darkened, something unreadable flickering in the depths of his irises.
"But then you came, Jungkook. And suddenly, even the darkness shimmered."
Jungkook's lashes fluttered, her breath hitching. She glanced down at the bouquet, her fingers twitching as if she wanted to reach for it but hesitated.
Taehyung tilted his head slightly, watching her every movement with quiet amusement, though the tenderness in his gaze never wavered.
"The shimmer in these petals..." He traced his fingers over the delicate satin flowers before lifting one to brush gently against her wrist. "That's you. My angel. The only light that doesn't burn but soothes."
Jungkook's fingers curled against her palm as a deep warmth spread through her chest. Her cheeks bloomed pink, her lips trembling as she chewed on them—an old habit of hers whenever she felt overwhelmed.
"You took a life that was nothing but a void, and you filled it with warmth, with softness, with—" Taehyung exhaled, eyes flickering with something intense, something utterly consuming.
"With love."
"You taught me what it means to stay," he confessed, his voice laced with quiet reverence. "What it means to want something so deeply that it scares you. To have something so precious that the thought of losing it feels worse than death itself."
His eyes darkened, his fingers pressing against her skin as if to ground himself.
"I used to think that if I kept my heart guarded, if I never let anyone too close, then nothing could hurt me," he admitted, his gaze locked onto hers. "But then you came along—storming into my life with that stubbornness, that fire, that maddening softness."
Jungkook let out a small, shaky laugh, her lashes fluttering.
"And suddenly," Taehyung whispered, his forehead almost brushing against hers, "the thought of never having you became the worst kind of pain."
Jungkook's breath hitched, her fingers trembling as she reached for him, barely gripping the lapels of his coat. "Taehyung..." she whispered, her voice unsteady.
His name on her lips sent a visible shiver down his spine.
Taehyung inhaled deeply, his eyes never leaving hers. "I love you," he said, the words falling from his lips like a vow—unyielding, absolute.
"I love you in ways I don't even know how to explain. In ways that terrify me. In ways that make me want to believe in forever."
Jungkook's throat tightened, her vision blurring slightly.
She had always felt his love—in his touches, in his glances, in the way he would stay up just to make sure she fell asleep first. But hearing it—hearing it like this—
Her lower lip wobbled.
Jungkook let out a shaky breath, her hands now pressed together, fingertips tapping nervously against each other. She swayed on her feet slightly, unable to stop the sob that escaped her lips.
Taehyung shook his head fondly before taking another step, so close now that the scent of him wrapped around her.
"So tell me, my Daisy," he murmured, dipping his head just a little, "will you take these black roses?" His voice was teasing, but his gaze held something much deeper, something that pleaded without words.
Jungkook swallowed, her throat suddenly dry. She stared at the bouquet, then at him, her lips parting as if to say something, but no words came out.
Instead, she did the only thing she could.
She reached out, her fingers shaking and gently grasped the bouquet, pulling it close to her chest like it was the most precious thing in the world.
Her small, delighted giggle filled the space between them as she lowered her head slightly, peeking at him from under her lashes. "It's beautiful," she whispered, voice trembling.
Taehyung's smirk softened into a smile, his eyes glinting with something victorious. "Of course it is," he mused, brushing a stray curl behind her ear. "It's yours."
Jungkook tightened her hold on the black satin bouquet, the petals reflecting the golden glow of the fairy lights. Her heart pounded against her ribs, loud enough that she swore he could hear it.
Taehyung watched her, his gaze gentle yet piercing, taking in every little reaction—her nervous gulp, the way she fidgeted with the bouquet, the way her lashes fluttered against her flushed cheeks.
"You're staring," she mumbled shyly, lowering her gaze.
"I am," he admitted without hesitation, stepping even closer, until there was barely a breath of space between them. "How can I not, when my angel stands before me, looking like a dream?"
Jungkook sucked in a breath, her fingers pressing into the bouquet as she peeked up at him through her lashes. "You're being unfair," she murmured.
"How so?" Taehyung tilted his head, amusement flickering in his dark eyes.
"You keep saying things like that... making me all nervous..." she whispered, her voice barely audible, as if afraid to say it out loud.
Taehyung chuckled, his deep, velvety laughter sending a delicious shiver down her spine.
"You think I don't feel the same?" He reached out, his fingers ghosting along the edge of her sleeve before slowly trailing down her arm, his touch barely there, yet enough to set her skin on fire.
Jungkook's breath hitched, her grip on the bouquet faltering for just a second.
"I've waited for this moment," he continued, his voice dropping lower, intimate, meant only for her. "Waited to see you like this, standing before me, wrapped in moonlight and soft petals, with nothing but the stars as our witness."
Jungkook looked up at him, eyes wide, lips parted slightly in wonder.
Taehyung exhaled. His hands reached out, hesitating for just a second before finally settling on her waist, his touch burned through the fabric of her dress, making her shiver.
Her nervous hands lifted, clutching the fabric of his coat as if anchoring herself, as if afraid this moment might slip away. Taehyung lifted a hand, tucking a stray curl behind her ear before letting his fingers linger against her cheek.
"I have loved you in ways words could never describe," he whispered, his eyes holding nothing but raw devotion. "And I will love you for as long as the stars shine."
Jungkook's breath caught, her lips trembling as she clutched his coat tighter. She had no words—only a heart that beat wildly, only eyes that shimmered with unshed emotions, only hands that reached up, to hold onto the man who had always been her fate.
And as the golden snowfall continued to swirl around them, as the night held them in its warm embrace, Taehyung whispered once more—
"My Daisy, my angel... you are my forever."
Taehyung exhaled softly, his hands trembling just slightly as he reached into his coat pocket. His dark eyes never left Jungkook's face, drinking in every little expression—her parted lips, the gentle rise and fall of her chest, her fingers clutched onto his coat as if she feared he might disappear.
He took a steadying breath before slowly pulling out a small glass box.
Jungkook's eyes widened. Her breath caught in her throat, hands frozen as she watched him kneel before her again, the snowfall swirling around them like a blessing from the heavens.
"Jungkook," he said, his voice deep and steady, yet laced with an emotion so raw it made her heart ache.
She could only stare, lips trembling, as he flicked open the box, revealing two rings inside, shimmering under the soft glow of the candlelight.
Jungkook gasped. The rings were unlike anything she had ever seen.
The first—a sleek silver band—was adorned with a tiny crescent moon and a delicate diamond.
The second—a dainty piece—was laced with small, twinkling gemstones, crowned with a single golden star at its peak.
Together, they reflected the night sky itself, as if they had been crafted from the cosmos.
Taehyung lifted his gaze, searching hers, and in that moment, the world faded—nothing existed except the two of them.
He picked up the silver band, his thumb grazing over the moon and star. "This..." he lifted her hand gently, "...this is my life."
Jungkook's breath hitched as he turned the ring slightly in the dim light, the moon catching a sliver of golden glow.
"My life was dark, lonely—just a stretch of endless black," he murmured. "But then you came. And just like the stars find their way into the vast emptiness of the night, you—my little star—found your way into me."
Jungkook swallowed hard, her vision blurring slightly as she traced the designs with her eyes.
Taehyung's smile turned fonder as he reached for her hand, his fingers curling gently around hers.
"I have loved you since before I even knew what love meant," he admitted, voice deep yet impossibly tender. "I have watched you grow, watched you become the light that keeps me sane. And now, I want to spend the rest of my days watching you smile, listening to your laughter, holding your hand through every storm and every sunshine."
Jungkook let out a shaky breath, her knees nearly buckling beneath her.
Taehyung took one of the rings and held it delicately between his fingers, his grip on her hand tightening slightly.
"Even when I tried to push you away, you stayed," he whispered, his forehead pressing against the back of her hand, his breath fanning across her heated skin. "You smiled at me when I didn't deserve it. You forgave me when I was cruel. You—" His breath hitched, and his fingers curled slightly.
"You loved me when I didn't know how to love myself."
Jungkook let out a broken sound, something between a laugh and a sob, her fingers reaching up to grasp at his wrist. Taehyung pulled back just enough to meet her gaze again, his eyes glistening under the soft glow of the falling snow.
"I don't want a world where you're not by my side," he said, his voice unwavering despite the raw emotion lacing it. "I don't want a life where your name isn't the first thing I say when I wake up, and the last thing I whisper when I fall asleep."
Jungkook let out a small, shaky exhale, her entire body trembling under the weight of his words.
"You are my beginning and my end, Jungkook," he murmured. "And if you'll have me..." He pulled back just slightly, holding up the silver ring between his fingers. "Let me be yours too."
A single tear slipped down Jungkook's cheek, catching on the curve of her smile as she let out a soft, breathless laugh.
"You always were," she whispered, voice trembling, but filled with nothing but love. "You always will be."
With that, he slid the ring onto her delicate finger, watching with bated breath as the dainty ring fit perfectly—like it had always belonged there.
Jungkook stared at it for a long moment, lips parted, before she quickly grabbed the other ring from the box.
"My turn," she said, her hands trembling slightly as she reached for his hand.
Taehyung let her take it, his gaze softening as she fumbled slightly before finally managing to slide the ring onto his finger.
Jungkook bit her lip, admiring the way it looked against his skin.
Perfect.
She sniffled again, only for Taehyung to chuckle and cup her cheek, his thumb brushing away the tear that had slipped down.
"No crying," he whispered.
Jungkook pouted. "I-I'm not crying."
He grinned, pulling her closer until their foreheads touched. "Liar."
Jungkook huffed, her pout deepening, but before she could protest further, Taehyung tilted her chin up, eyes twinkling with mischief.
"Should I seal it, then?" he teased, lips hovering just above hers, his breath fanning against her skin.
Jungkook's breath hitched, her fingers tightening around his as she looked up at him, wide-eyed and trembling. The snowfall swirled around them, catching in the soft glow of the candles.
With the faintest nod, she whispered, "Yes."
That was all he needed.
Taehyung's lips descended upon hers slowly. His hands cupped her cheeks, holding her gently while Jungkook's fingers curled into his coat, pulling him closer.
The kiss was soft—like the first brush of dawn against the horizon, like a promise in the still night.
Jungkook sighed against his lips, melting into his embrace, her entire being consumed by him. She could feel his heartbeat beneath her palm.
When they finally parted, Taehyung rested his forehead against hers, a small, breathless chuckle escaping him. Taehyung pressed another kiss to the corner of her lips before pulling her into his arms, holding her close as the snowfall continued to dance around them.
Their love, sealed under the watchful eyes of the stars, was no longer just a quick moment—it was a promise, a forever.
Jungkook giggled softly, her fingers still curled against Taehyung's chest as she looked up at him with mischief dancing in her eyes.
"You really do love doing things in private, don't you?" she teased, tilting her head. "From secret marriage to quiet confessions... if I didn't know better, I'd think you were trying to keep me all to yourself."
Taehyung's smirk faltered just slightly, his eyes darkening with something deeper—something raw. He lifted a hand, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
"Because I am," he admitted, voice lower. "I would give you the whole world if I could, but I refuse to share even a fraction of you with it."
Jungkook blinked, surprised by the sudden intensity in his gaze.
"There are too many eyes, Jungkook," he murmured, his fingers tracing the her jaw. "Too many hands that would reach out to take what's mine. Too many hearts filled with envy, eager to destroy what they can't have."
A shiver ran down Jungkook's spine. She knew his words weren't just poetic musings—there was a truth to them, a warning hidden beneath his emotions.
"But they can't," he whispered, brushing his thumb across her lips. "Because you are mine, and I will never let them take you from me."
Jungkook swallowed. She reached up, cupping his face in her small hands.
"Then don't," she whispered back, her voice softer now. "Don't ever let go."
Taehyung exhaled before pressing a lingering kiss to her forehead.
"Never," he promised.
Gracefully, Taehyung took Jungkook's hand, bringing it up to his lips before stepping back, his other hand sliding around her waist.
"Shall we dance, my love?" he murmured.
Jungkook's lips parted in surprise, but before she could respond, Taehyung was already guiding her into the first step.
With a click of Taehyung's finger, a soft melody began to play in the background. Snowflakes began to fall once more, landing gently in Jungkook's dark locks as she looked up at him.
Taehyung took a slow step forward, leading her. Their feet moved in perfect harmony—one step back, one to the side, a graceful turn as he spun her under his arm. Jungkook twirled, her dress fanning out like a dream before she stumbled slightly, her small hands gripping his shoulders.
Taehyung only smiled, catching her effortlessly, his grip around her waist tightening as he pulled her flush against him.
"Getting distracted?" he teased, his deep voice sending a shiver down her spine.
Jungkook huffed, her cheeks warm. "Maybe."
He smirked, brushing his nose against hers before stepping into another twirl, making her laugh softly as he dipped her backward. The flickering candlelight danced across their faces, casting golden shadows over their intertwined forms.
Slowly, he pulled her upright, their chests pressing together as he whispered,
"You look like a dream."
Jungkook swallowed hard, her heart pounding against his.
The snowfall continued, the candles flickered.
When the melody deepened, so did Taehyung's touch. His hand pressed against the small of Jungkook's back, guiding her effortlessly. Their steps slowed, turning the dance into more intimate.
Jungkook's breath hitched as Taehyung leaned in, his lips grazing the shell of her ear. "Does it scare you, love?"
Jungkook's lips parted, her breath hitching again.
"The way I look at you," Taehyung continued, his voice deepening as his hand slowly trailed up the curve of her back. "The way I hold you."
Jungkook closed her eyes, as if that would dull the effect he had on her. "Taehyung..." she breathed.
He hummed in response, his lips grazing just below her ear. "Or is it the way I love you?"
A shiver ran down Jungkook's spine.
Taehyung smirked against her skin. "Ah," he mused, his fingers pressing into her waist, guiding her into a slow twirl before pulling her back into him—flushed against his chest. "It's that, isn't it?"
Jungkook's lashes fluttered open, her cheeks flushed, her lips slightly parted. She looked up at him, eyes filled with something vulnerable, something hesitant.
"You love me," she whispered, almost as if she were testing the words on her tongue.
Taehyung tilted his head, studying her intently. "With every part of me," he confirmed, his voice a quiet promise. "In ways I don't even know how to contain."
Jungkook felt her breath leave her in a rush.
Taehyung dipped her, his strong arms securing her as he hovered above. Their faces were mere inches apart, breaths mingling, eyes locked.
"Tell me," he murmured, his lips hovering just over hers, their noses brushing, "does it scare you, Daisy?"
Jungkook's fingers clutched his coat, her heartbeat wild and erratic.
And then, She smiled.
Soft, shy, breathtaking.
"No," Jungkook whispered. "It doesn't."
Taehyung's eyes darkened, something tender yet utterly consuming settling into his expression.
"Good," he murmured.
The golden candlelight reflected in his charcoal eyes, turning them into molten pools of longing. He was watching her—watching her the way a man admires something sacred, something he never wishes to let go of.
Slowly, achingly, he pulled her upright, their faces mere inches apart. His breath fanned over her lips and she swore time stood still.
Jungkook's fingers curled against his chest, her pulse hammering against her skin.
With that, he spun her once more, their bodies moving as one. Taehyung's arms wrapped around Jungkook from behind, pulling her snug against his chest. The warmth of his body seeped through the fabric of her gown, and a delicious shiver ran down her spine when his lips brushed against the shell of her ear.
"You're shaking, darling," he whispered, his deep voice laced with mischief.
Jungkook's hands instinctively reached up, her fingers grazing over his as they rested firmly on her waist.
"And whose fault do you think that is?" she murmured, tilting her head slightly, allowing his breath to ghost over her sensitive skin.
Taehyung chuckled, the vibration rumbling against her back. "Mine," he admitted, his grip tightening as he gently swayed with her to the music.
His fingers tracing along her gown, skimming over her stomach before sliding back to hold her firmly. Jungkook's breath hitched when he leaned down, his lips hovering just above her shoulder.
He didn't kiss her—no, he was crueler than that. He let the warmth of his mouth linger, letting her feel the temptation of his touch without giving in completely.
Jungkook's fingers curled over his, gripping his hand. "Tae..." she breathed, her voice carrying emotions she couldn't quite put into words.
At that, Taehyung smirked, finally pressing kiss to her bare shoulder. "Hmm?" he hummed, as though he didn't know exactly what he was doing to her.
Jungkook turned in his arms, her hands splaying over his chest.
"You love teasing me, don't you?" she accused, her pout deepening when he merely chuckled in response.
"How could I not, when you react so beautifully?" he mused, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear.
Jungkook huffed, lightly smacking his chest. But before she could step away, Taehyung caught her wrist, pulling her back into him. His arms wrapped around her fully, he had no intention of letting her escape.
Taehyung led Jungkook toward the snow-covered ground, where the flickering candles surrounded them in a warm embrace.
Without a word, he lowered himself onto the snowy surface, pulling Jungkook effortlessly onto his lap.
She let out a tiny gasp at the sudden shift, her hands pressing against his chest to steady herself. But Taehyung only smirked, his grip on her waist firm, ensuring she stayed exactly where he wanted her—straddling him, their bodies flush against each other.
"Why do you always do things like this so suddenly?" Jungkook murmured, her voice carrying a breathless tremor.
Taehyung tilted his head, eyes gleaming with amusement.
"Because you always look so adorable when you're caught off guard," he countered.
Jungkook pouted, a hint of pink dusting her cheeks, but she didn't pull away. Instead, she let herself sink into his embrace, her fingers hesitantly reaching up to play with the strands of his dark hair.
The soft snowfall continued, tiny flakes landing on their skin. The golden light of the candles flickered, casting shadows that danced around them, making the moment feel almost surreal.
Taehyung's hands traveled to Jungkook's waist, pressing her just a little closer. "You're so beautiful," he murmured, his voice low, filled with something deep, something reverent.
Jungkook sucked in a sharp breath, her fingers clutching his coat. Her heart pounded wildly, heat creeping up her neck.
"L-Level up, Mr. Kim," she mumbled, trying to sound unimpressed, but the slight tremor in her voice gave her away. "Always the same compliment."
Taehyung's smirk softened, his gaze darkening with something far more profound than mere admiration. His fingers trailed up her spine, sending delicate shivers through her frame.
"I wish to be reborn," he murmured, his voice a silken whisper against her lips. "As a tear in your beautiful eyes—born from the depths of your soul, cradled in your warmth."
Jungkook's breath hitched, her fingers curling tighter into the fabric of his coat.
"I would slide down the softness of your pale cheeks," he continued, his thumb brushing against her skin as if tracing the imagined path, "carrying your every unspoken tale, your every quiet longing."
His lips hovered just above hers, his breath mingling with hers, their hearts beating in tandem.
"And then," he whispered, voice dipping into something almost sacred, "I would meet my sweetest death—upon the curve of your lips."
Jungkook felt her knees weaken, her chest tightening with something indescribable, something overwhelming. She had no words—only the wild fluttering of her heart and the way her lips parted, aching to capture the poetry that had spilled from his.
Taehyung smiled, his fingers tilting her chin up just slightly, his eyes holding hers in a gaze so deep, so consuming, she felt like she was drowning.
"Tell me, Daisy," he breathed, his thumb tracing the corner of her mouth, his lips nearly brushing against hers. "Would you let me?"
Jungkook swallowed, her breath uneven, her body betraying her hesitation as she leaned just the tiniest bit closer.
Taehyung chuckled, his breath fanning against her lips. "Are you asking for a kiss"
Jungkook's pout deepened, her fingers tugging at his collar. "You're the one who pulled me into your lap, Mr. Kim," she pointed out, trying to sound annoyed, but the fondness in her voice betrayed her.
Taehyung smirked. "Guilty," he admitted.
And then, finally, he closed the distance, capturing her lips in a kiss that was both gentle and passionate, a perfect blend of devotion and longing.
Taehyung's grip on Jungkook's waist tightened slightly, guiding her closer until there was no space left between them. His lips moved slowly, savoring the taste of her, swallowing every soft gasp and every hesitant press of her lips against his.
Then, he leaned back, taking her with him as he sank into the snowy surface. The coldness of the ground contrasted sharply with the heat between them, making Jungkook shiver—not from the cold, but from the way Taehyung's hands roamed over her back, his touch burning through the thin fabric of her dress.
Jungkook found herself hovering over him, her hands pressed against his chest for balance, but she didn't pull away. She couldn't. The kiss had turned intoxicating, his lips coaxing her into surrender, his tongue tracing slow, teasing strokes against hers.
Taehyung groaned softly, his hand slipping into her hair, angling her head just right to deepen the kiss further. Jungkook whimpered, her fingers curling into the lapels of his coat as she let herself be guided, let herself melt against him.
Jungkook pulled back just slightly, her breath warm against his lips, her chest rising and falling rapidly. Taehyung's gaze was heavy-lidded, dark with something unreadable yet completely consuming. His thumb traced the outline of her lips, swollen from his kisses, his voice husky when he spoke.
"You're driving me insane, Mrs. Kim," he murmured.
Jungkook swallowed, her heart pounding, her fingers still clinging to his coat. "I-It's your fault," she whispered, trying to sound composed, but the tremor in her voice betrayed her.
Taehyung chuckled, low and deep. "Then let me take responsibility," he teased, flipping their positions, pressing her into the soft snow beneath him.
Jungkook gasped, eyes wide, lips parting—but before she could protest, Taehyung dipped down, stealing her breath once again.
The golden glow of the candles flickered, casting dancing shadows over their entwined bodies, while the snowfall continued, tiny flakes landing on their skin, on Jungkook's dark lashes, on Taehyung's tousled hair.
On the pristine white snow beneath them, their legs tangled together in an intimate display of closeness. Taehyung's polished black shoes gleamed under the candlelight, against the powdery soft ground. Beside them, Jungkook's delicate black heels pressed into the snow, their sharp elegance mirroring the fine tremor in her body as Taehyung hovered over her.
Taehyung's coat had slipped from his shoulders in their passion, his black shirt slightly wrinkled, the top buttons undone from Jungkook's hands pulling at him moments ago.
He was a vision—dark, intense, and utterly breathtaking as he gazed down at her with hooded eyes.
The golden candlelight flickered across his face, illuminating the sharp lines of his jaw, the gentle parting of his lips, and the way his breath came slow and deep.
Jungkook, beneath him, was equally mesmerizing. Her dark hair fanned out against the snow, tiny white flakes dusting her curls like delicate crystals. Her dress was now slightly bunched up around her thighs, revealing glimpses of smooth skin beneath the intricate fabric. She looked up at him, breath hitching, her fingers still clinging onto his coat.
A gust of cold wind blew past them, sending more tiny snowflakes cascading around them, yet neither of them moved. The heat between them burned too strongly, untouched by the cold.
Jungkook's breath came in shallow gasps as she lay beneath Taehyung, her chest rising and falling rapidly against his. Her fingers curled into his shirt, her lips swollen from their endless kisses, and her heart hammering against her ribcage.
Jungkook swallowed, voice a whisper as she breathed, "Make me yours, Taehyung."
The raw vulnerability in her voice made Taehyung pause. His dark eyes flickered with something unreadable before a slow, wicked smirk stretched across his lips.
And then—he chuckled. A deep, rich sound that rumbled through his chest, one that sent a shiver down Jungkook's spine, though not from the cold.
"Mercilessly?"
"You—!" Jungkook gasped, scandalized. Her hands balled into fists as she smacked his chest, her small hands pressing against the firm muscle beneath his open shirt.
Taehyung chuckled, clearly enjoying her flustered state. He caught her wrists with ease.
"What, love? I'm just clarifying." His thumb brushed against her pulse, feeling it race beneath his touch. "You did say it, didn't you?"
Jungkook's lips parted in horror, her mind racing to defend herself.
"I-I did not mean it like that!" she huffed, struggling lightly in his hold, only to realize that her squirming did nothing except press her even closer to him.
Taehyung hummed, tilting his head as if considering her words. "Mmm... but you did say make me yours in that soft little voice." He leaned in, his lips grazing the shell of her ear. "It was adorable, by the way."
Jungkook gasped again, half from the way his breath fanned against her skin, half from sheer mortification.
"Y-You—! Don't laugh at me, you cruel man!"
Taehyung only laughed harder, his broad shoulders shaking slightly as he hovered over her. "Oh, my love," he sighed, shaking his head in amusement. "You say such tempting things and then act surprised when I react."
Jungkook huffed, her lower lip jutting out. "I was being serious! You—You're so mean, Taehyung! I should take my words back."
Taehyung tsked, pinning her hands gently against the snow-covered ground. "Too late," he murmured, lowering his lips to ghost over the shell of her ear. "I heard it, and now I can't possibly let you take it back."
Jungkook shivered, her pout trembling, but she refused to let him win so easily. "Well, maybe I don't want to be yours anymore," she huffed stubbornly, turning her face away.
A dangerous glint flashed through Taehyung's eyes. "Is that so?"
Before she could blink, Taehyung had effortlessly flipped their positions, pulling Jungkook up so that she was now sitting on his lap, her knees straddling his hips, her small frame caged in by his strong arms.
Jungkook squeaked, hands gripping his shoulders. "T-Taehyung!"
Taehyung's smirk never wavered as he leaned back slightly, resting against his palms, utterly relaxed as if he had all the time in the world.
"Go on then," he challenged smoothly, "tell me you don't want to be mine."
Jungkook's breath caught in her throat as Taehyung's challenge hung in the air, his dark, knowing eyes watching her every reaction. The candlelight making the mischief in his gaze even more sinful.
Her hands trembled slightly against his shoulders, the sudden shift in position leaving her completely vulnerable. She was straddling him, her knees sinking into the soft snow beneath them, her dress pooling around them like liquid silk.
She refused to meet his gaze, but Taehyung wasn't having it.
His fingers trailed to her jaw, tilting her face back toward him.
"Look at me when you lie, my dear wife," he murmured, his thumb brushing over her lower lip. "Tell me you don't want to be mine, and I'll let you go."
Jungkook's lips parted, her breath uneven. She willed herself to speak, to push back, but when she opened her mouth, all that came out was a shaky breath.
How could she say something so untrue when the only thing she wanted was him?
Taehyung watched her struggle, thoroughly entertained. "That's what I thought."
Jungkook groaned, defeated, and smacked his chest again—though this time, it was softer, more playful.
"You're so bad!" she whined, wiggling in his lap in frustration.
Taehyung groaned at the movement, his grip on her hips tightening instantly. "Don't do that unless you're prepared to face the consequences, sweetheart."
Jungkook froze, eyes widening as she realized what she had done.
Taehyung chuckled darkly at her reaction, his hands sliding up to cup her face, his thumbs brushing her reddened cheeks. "Mrs. Kim, you really are a little menace, aren't you?"
Jungkook pursed her lips, grumbling. "I hate you."
Taehyung hummed, leaning in until their noses brushed. "Liar."
Jungkook sucked in a sharp breath, but before she could respond, he kissed her again, swallowing whatever comeback she had prepared.
And just like that, she melted into him, all traces of their bickering dissolving into something only the two of them could ever understand.
