Leave it because dil toh baccha he ji.... โค
Taehyung brought the car to a stop. The familiar streets welcomed Jungkook like a well-loved storybook, a setting she recognized all too well. A wave of nostalgia washed over her as she gazed out the window.
They had arrived near her house, close to the dargahโwhere she often sought solace, where her heart had found comfort amidst the chaos.
The scent of blooming flowers and the quiet smoke of incense floated through the air, twisting with the soft sounds of prayer that echoed in the distance. Jungkook felt her heart flutter with excitement and trepidation; the significance of this place. It was a sanctuary filled with memories of hope.
Before Jungkook could gather her thoughts, Taehyung turned off the ignition and stepped out of the car. He walked around to her side and opened the door, extending his hand.
"Shall we?" he asked, his voice smooth and inviting.
Jungkook took his hand, their fingers interlocking naturally. They stepped out of the car into the evening air. They began moving and then, Jungkook realized:
They were going to the dargah.
Immediately, the lively atmosphere enveloped them. Stalls lined the streets, selling colourful pendants, fragrant flowers, and sweet treats. The chatter of vendors and the children's laughter filled the air. Jungkook's heart swelled with the memories of times spent here, her mind flashing vivid pictures of past visits with her family and friends.
"Mr Kim, are we really going here?" Jungkook asked her voice filled with disbelief.
Taehyung nodded, "I thought it would be a nice place for us to visit together. A chance to reflect and find some peace."
His sincerity shone through and Jungkook felt a rush of affection.
"Thank you," the wife said, her heart swelling as they continued walking side by side.
The simple act of being with him felt like a treasure.
As they approached the entrance, Jungkook's heart raced. The ornate door stood before them, carved with floral patterns. Stepping inside, she was greeted by lights dancing across the walls, illuminating the sacred space with a soft radiance.
The atmosphere shifted the moment they crossed the threshold.
A peaceful silence enveloped them, filled only with the gentle whispers of prayers and the rustling of cloth as devotees moved about. Jungkook felt peace like a gentle tide lapping at the shore.
Jungkook paused for a moment, looking at her surroundings. The scent of sandalwood and jasmine filled the air, intertwining beautifully with the distant sound of water trickling from the fountains. She felt nostalgia wash over her, her worries slowly lifting in this holy shelter.
Turning to Taehyung, she noticed his gaze, a hint of awe in them as he took in the atmosphere around them.
"It's beautiful," he said softly.
"It really is," Jungkook replied, feeling the corners of her mouth lift in a soft smile.
The intimacy of the moment felt deep; here, in this sacred place, they were bound by something deeper than mere words.
As they wandered inside, they came across a small prayer chamber filled with flickering candles. Jungkook was drawn to the lights, each flame representing a prayer, a wish, or a moment of gratitude.
Jungkook knelt on the cool marble floor. She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath to centre herself amid the prayers around her.
Dear God, I remember the last time I came to this dargah. I was so lost, so broken. I knelt here, tears streaming down my face, wishing for relief from the pain in my heart.
I cried out for strength, for understanding, and, if I'm honest, I complained about the very man who brought me here todayโKim Taehyung.
A chuckle escaped Jungkook's lips, the memory of her heartache opposite to the joy she felt now.
Back then, I remember how furious I was that day. Mr Kim and I had gotten into one of those argumentsโone of those ridiculous spats that left me feeling like I was about to explode. I still can't believe he broke my car in his anger!
Jungkook chuckled again, shaking her head at the memory.
I argued like a child, throwing accusations at him as if they were daggers. But deep down, I knew he was just as frustrated as I was.
Jungkook sighed, her heartwarming as she recalled Taehyung's gaze, even during their most heated moments.
So, thank you, God, for showing me the beauty in our imperfections, for allowing me to see Mr Kim for who he truly isโa man who fights for me, even when I can't see it myself.
Help me cherish him, love him fiercely, and embrace our journey together.
Please continue to watch over us. Help me be the wife he deserves, someone who lifts him as he lifts me.
I want to be a source of comfort and love for him, just as he has been for me.
A tear slipped down Jungkook's cheek, not from sadness, but from the emotions of hopes.
Please watch over us, guide us in our journey together,
Jungkook opened her eyes, her heart feeling lighter, her spirit enlightened. The wife turned to Taehyung, who knelt beside her with his eyes closed, the faintest crease between his brows.
Jungkook noticed his shoulders relaxing, his hands hanging loosely at his sides. It was as if he, too, was reaching out to the same place she had, seeking comfort, solace or maybe even peace.
The thought tugged at her heart, warming her.
This place, the dargah, had seen her at her weakest, and now, she realized, it was witnessing a new chapter for them bothโone where they stood beside each other, unburdened by the past.
When he finally opened his eyes, his gaze softened as it met hers. Jungkook smiled at him, grateful for the man who had, unknowingly, become the answer to her prayers.
Both of them stood up quietly, their steps in sync as they left the tranquil space of the dargah. The soft murmur of prayers and the scent of incense hung back in the air as they walked through the stone archways, side by side.
Outside, the evening light was fading, casting a gentle glow on the cobbled streets. Jungkook broke the silence first, her voice tender but steady.
"Thank you... for bringing me here," she murmured, glancing over at him. "This place... it's always been my way of finding peace."
Taehyung nodded, his expression unreadable but calm. He didn't look at her right away, his gaze fixed forward, hands loosely in his pockets. After a moment, he spoke in a low tone.
"I thought you might need it," he said, keeping his eyes on the path ahead. "Sometimes, it's easier to feel...good when you're somewhere that understands you."
Jungkook looked at him, her eyes softening at his words. For a man of so few, his words carried weight and she could feel the intention behind them.
"I do feel good," she replied, a small smile curving her lips. "Though, last time I was here, I was... probably complaining about you."
Taehyung raised a brow, "Complaining?" he asked, not entirely surprised, though his voice had a faint, wry humour.
Jungkook chuckled, tiny stars sparkled in her doe eyes. "Oh, yeah. The car incident, remember? I was pretty sure I'd never want to talk to you again."
Taehyung's expression barely shifted, but there was a subtle softening at the corners of his mouth. "I recall. Not my finest moment."
Jungkook nudged Taehyung gently with her elbow as they walked, a teasing grin lighting up her face. "Not your finest moment? Mr Kim, that's an understatement! You broke my car on purpose after that argument. I was so mad, I thought I'd combust."
Taehyung's mouth twitched, his gaze still set forward, "You were yelling at me, Over a car," he countered, his voice dry.
"But that car was my baby," Jungkook replied, crossing her arms but grinning.
As they continued their soft talk oopsโbickering, Jungkook's gaze drifted to a small cart on the side of the path, laden with flower bracelets and garlands. Her eyes widened, shining with unmistakable excitement as she tugged at Taehyung's sleeve.
"Mr kim, look! Flowers!" Jungkook exclaimed, her voice laced with the same delight as of a child in a candy store.
Taehyung glanced over, his brows lifting slightly. "They're beautiful."
Without waiting, Jungkook made her way over to the cart, her fingers lightly tracing over the petals. "They're so bright and fresh... they just feel... joyful."
Taehyung observed her silently, his lips pressing together in a slight smile as he watched her pick one up, holding it up as if to test how it might look on herself.
Without a word, Taehyung took out his wallet and paid the vendor. The vendor gave him the flowers and taehyung took the delicate flower bracelet into his hands. He turned to her and began to tie them carefully around her wrist.
The small act made her heart skip; there was something so genuine about how he handled each bracelet as if ensuring they sat perfectly, just for her. Jungkook's cheeks warmed as she admired the flowers now circling her wrist, feeling as though they carried his care along them.
Just then, an old granny stopped and took in the scene, her eyes crinkling with delight. "Ah, young love," she chuckled warmly, clasping her hands together.
"Such beautyโand such blessings to you both."
Taehyung inclined his head slightly, acknowledging the granny's blessing. But when Jungkook looked up at him, she saw a soft glint in his eyes that matched the warmth growing in her heart.
The granny beamed, placing a gentle hand on Jungkook's shoulder. "May you always wear flowers with as much joy, dear." Then, with a knowing smile, she continued leaving them alone.
"Thank you," Jungkook whispered to Taehyung, her fingers brushing the petals lightly.
Taehyung nodded, a subtle smile tugging at his lips as he watched her admiring the flowers. "They suit you."
Jungkook was entirely captivated by the delicate flowers adorning her wrists. She spun them lightly, watching the petals dance with every step, her face lit with a childlike joy that softened even the corners of Taehyung's stoic heart.
She held her hands to the fading sunlight, letting the glow filter through the soft blooms. "Aren't they beautiful?" she murmured, more to herself than to Taehyung, though he caught every word.
A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he watched her, his hands tucked casually into his pockets, keeping pace beside her. Jungkook's wonder was so genuine, so pure. Every so often, she'd glance up at him with a grin, her eyes sparkling as if he'd just gifted her the rarest treasure.
"I never knew flowers could make you this happy," Taehyung remarked.
Jungkook's smile only grew. "They're special," she said, holding up her wrists and letting the blossoms sway between them. "Because they're from you."
"It's just a few flowers," Taehyung murmured, almost to himself, yet the words carried affection he rarely expressed.
"Not to me! They're more than just flowers... they're you showing me you care. In your way " Jungkook said softly, a smile curling her lips as she whispered, "These flowers might fade by morning... but I'll remember them. Just like I remember every little thing you do."
Jungkook's words hit him hard, piercing the guarded walls around his heart. For a moment, Taehyung felt as if the world had gone still. He was left only with the sparkling glow in her eyes and the sincerity in her voice.
Taehyung swallowed. He shifted his gaze away, feeling something tighten in his chest, a softness he wasn't used to confronting. But Jungkook caught it. The tiniest falter in his stoic expression was enough to let her know how her words affected him.
"Why... why would you remember this?" he murmured, barely louder than a whisper, his voice betraying the vulnerability he kept hidden.
"Because every moment with you... matters to me, Mr Kim."
Her words settled deep within him, breaking through and leaving him bare terrifyingly and beautifully. He let out a slow breath, his gaze returning to her and he didn't look away.
Jungkook's gaze drifted back to her flower-clad wrists, her eyes shining. She lifted them gently, turning her hands to admire the delicate blooms.
Taehyung stole glances at her. It amazed him how someone could find so much delight in something as simple as flowers.
"Thank you," Jungkook said suddenly, looking up at him with a grateful smile.
"For what?" he replied, his voice a bit gruff as he tried to downplay her gratitude.
Jungkook kept her gaze on the flowers, her smile tender. "For things you don't even realize you're doing," she said softly. "For bringing me here tonight, for... these flowers, and for remembering what matters to meโeven when you don't say it."
A faint warmth crept up his neck as he searched for something to say, words that could capture the tangle of emotions he was feeling.
Her words, so simple yet full of meaning, caught him off guard. He shifted uncomfortably, his eyes darting away as if he could hide the hint of warmth rising in his cheeks.
"You're... reading into things too much," Taehyung muttered, his tone trying to hold its usual calm, though the softened edges betrayed him.
"Maybe," Jungkook replied with a light laugh, her eyes bright as she looked at him. "Or maybe you're just not used to someone appreciating you for these little gestures."
Taehyung's hand grazed the petals around her wrist, a fleeting touch that sent a shiver up her arm. He took a deep breath, letting his fingers hover near hers without fully closing the distance. "I didn't expect you to think so much of it... or me, for that matter."
Jungkook lifted her hand, bringing the flowers closer to his view as if to make a point. "Well, too bad. Because to me, thisโ" she gestured to the flowers and then to him, "โisn't just about the flowers. It's about you being here with me, caring in your way, even if you don't say it."
Taehyung's hand moved, his fingers circled her wrist gently, careful not to bruise the delicate flowers woven around her skinโor the beauty they adorned.
As his thumb brushed over her pulse, Jungkook's heart quickened, the beat thrumming against his touch. Jungkook's eyes widened, her lips parting slightly as she looked up at him, caught off guard by his gesture. Her cheeks warmed, a soft blush painting her skin, and her gaze flitted down to where his fingers held her wrist so gently, so carefully.
Then, without breaking eye contact, Taehyung brought her wrist closer. Slowly, he lowered his head and placed a feather-light kiss just above her pulse, his lips remained there. His warm breath against her skin sent a shiver through Jungkook, her lashes fluttering as her free hand moved to clutch the fabric of her dress, stabilising herself.
He pulled back just slightly, enough to meet her gaze, his thumb tracing a slow over her wrist. Jungkook's heart was racing, her breaths shallow, and her smile small yet filled with awe as she watched him.
The wife bit her lip, trying to hide a bashful grin. "For a meanie ice cube, you... really know how to surprise me."
The husband's mouth curved in the faintest smile, and he raised a brow. "Maybe there are a few things you don't know about me yet, Mrs. Kim."
Jungkook's fingers tightened around his and a spark of warmth in her eyes as she whispered, "Then maybe I should start my detective job."
Taehyung's phone vibrated and he glanced down, his face instantly changing into the composed, businesslike expression Jungkook was so used to seeing. He gave her a nod before answering, his voice low as he spoke into the phone.
Jungkook took the opportunity to look around, her curiosity increased tenfold by the lively streets around them. She held his hand, swinging it back and forth absentmindedly, a gesture that reflected her light-hearted mood. Her eyes brightened as she saw lanterns hanging above, colourful stalls lining the street and decorations from lamp posts.
Then, Jungkook noticed something down the streetโa gathering of people near colourful stalls, fragrant food wafting through the air, and vendors selling handicrafts. She gasped softly and realised: they were celebrating the full moon with a fair!
Barely able to contain her excitement, Jungkook looked up at Taehyung, still deep in conversation. Not wanting to interrupt, she let herself sway from side to side, hoping he'd finish soon.
Jungkook continued to sway his hand back and forth, her eyes lighting up with excitement. Every few seconds, she'd glance up at him, her smile barely contained, trying her best not to interrupt but desperately wanting him to notice her.
Jungkook's excitement grew as she took in more of the festive surroundingsโthe twinkling fairy lights, children with tiny sparklers and couples walking hand in hand. She bit her lip, a small smile breaking through as she imagined them joining the crowd.
Still holding his hand, she tugged at it, hoping he'd finish his call soon. Her gaze wandered over to a nearby stall decorated with delicate charms and flower crowns. A group of kids laughed as they tried on various crowns and Jungkook's eyes lit up with yearning.
Just as she was about to give his hand another tiny tug, Taehyung ended his call. He glanced down, surprised to see the sparkle in her eyes and how she was bouncing on her toes.
"What's got you all lit up?"
Jungkook turned to him, her grin breaking through completely. "Look, Mr. Kim! It's the full moon festival! They have a fair!" She gestured to the stalls, the food carts and the flower crowns, practically beaming up at him.
"Can we... go and look around? Just for a bit? Please?" Jungkook asked, her voice filled with hope, squeezing his hand.
"Alright," Taehyung murmured. "Let's go take a look."
Jungkook's smile was radiant as she led him toward the fair, her fingers still wrapped around his hand. She looked up at him as they walked. When they entered the fairgrounds, Jungkook's eyes widened with delight, taking in every detailโthe string lights above and the faint scent of delicious food mingling in the cool evening air. She gripped Taehyung's hand a little tighter, feeling excitement in her chest like she'd been transported back to childhood.
Taehyung walked beside her. He was unused to these kinds of places, with their noise and colourful chaos, but seeing Jungkook so enthusiastic, practically skipping beside him, made every unfamiliar step worth it.
Jungkook turned to him, a bright sparkle in her eyes. "Look at all of this! It's amazing, isn't it?"
"It's... joyful," he said, his voice understated as ever, but the way his fingers intertwined with hers was answering enough.
Jungkook chuckled, her nose crinkling slightly. "Joyful? Come on, Mr Kim, it's more than that! It's magical!"
She tugged his hand, leading him toward a stall filled with jewellery. "Ooh, look at these!"
Taehyung let himself be pulled along as Jungkook practically bounced over to the jewellery stall. The vendor smiled at them, sensing Jungkook's delight as she leaned forward, eyes wide with wonder. Jungkook picked up a delicate silver bracelet with tiny charms dangling from it, each charm catching the glow of the nearby lights.
"Mr kim! See," Jungkook exclaimed, holding it to his face. "Isn't it beautiful? It has little stars and moons."
Taehyung tilted his head, his gaze settling on Jungkook rather than the bracelet. "It's nice," he replied, though he appeared more interested in her, how his wife's eyes sparkled than in the jewellery itself.
Jungkook, noticing his distracted gaze, pouted and swatted him lightly on the arm. "Focus! This is serious jewellery shopping, Mr. Kim."
He raised an eyebrow, putting on a sober look.
Jungkook turned back to the stall, picking up different piecesโa pair of delicate silver earrings and a tiny jewelled anklet. She tried them one by one, occasionally glancing up at Taehyung for his opinion. He nodded approvingly each time.
Finally, Jungkook picked up a thin silver ring with a small crescent moon embedded in it. She held it up to him, eyes full of excitement. "What about this one?" she asked softly, slipping it onto her finger to show him.
Taehyung's gaze softened as he took in the sight. "It suits you,"
With a nod, Jungkook darted between necklaces, earrings, and anklets, chattering happily about each piece. Taehyung's gaze drifted over the collection in a more detached manner. But then something caught his eyeโa delicate golden waist chain with a small butterfly charm hanging off one side.
His eyes remained on it for a moment longer than intended. He hadn't planned to look at anything here, least of all a piece of jewellery, yet this particular piece seemed to capture his mind.
The thought of it resting on Jungkook's waist sent a small shiver down his spine. He could almost picture itโits dainty links settled low on Jungkook's waist, the butterfly resting against her skin, swaying gently with each step she took. Though he hadn't seen her bare waist, his hands knew the curve well enough.
Imagining this golden chain against her milky skin, framing the soft lines of her hips... stirred something deep and almost possessive within him.
The idea was... distracting, to say the least.
More than distracting.
His fingers itched with the urge to run along that chain, to feel the coolness of the metal against her once Jungkook wore it. He swallowed, brushing the thought aside as best he could, though the image remained back, unwelcome yet thoroughly captivating.
Lost in his daze, he didn't even notice Jungkook approaching until she was beside him again, her voice snapping him back to the present.
"Mr. ATM, come with me!" Jungkook dragged him, giving his arm a shake.
Taehyung blinked, snapping out of his daze. He coughed slightly, masking his distraction with a casual expression as he quickly paid the vendor, handing over the cash while his gaze drifted back to the waist chain.
The piece was small, elegantโunassuming, but captivating.
Before he could stop himself, he pointed to the chain. "Add this too," he said, his voice almost too casual, as if buying it was no big deal.
But inside, a quiet expectation stirred.
Jungkook raised an eyebrow, her eyes lighting up with intrigue as she looked at him. "A waist chain?"
She tried to read his expression, but Taehyung shrugged, keeping his tone even.
"This piece would suit you." His gaze lingered on her for a second longer than usual, giving away just a hint of the hidden intention behind his choice.
Jungkook grinned, catching the slightest trace of emotion in his charcoal eyes.
"Ah, so you're shopping for your wife now?" She squeezed his arm playfully. "Not bad, Mr. ATM has taste."
Taehyung rolled his eyes but couldn't hide a small smile. He slipped the waist chain into his coat pocket. His gaze softened as he looked at her, catching her eye before quickly averting his own.
"let's go, " Taehyung turned, casually adjusting the cuffs of his sleeves.
There was a satisfaction in his chest and his thoughts jumbling, how beautiful Jungkook would look, adorned with his thoughtful choice.
With that, Jungkook pulled him back toward the crowd. As they walked, she couldn't help but steal glances at him, her heart fluttering at the thought of the waist chain and that he'd picked it out just for her.
They continued through the fair, Jungkook pointing out each stall, eagerly showing Taehyung everything from cotton candy machines to little handmade crafts.
Jungkook's excitement was infectious, her eyes lighting up at every little discovery as she led Taehyung through the bustling fair. She pointed to brightly coloured scarves and held up quirky charms to show him grinning when he raised an eyebrow in amused disapproval.
"Mr Kim! Cotton candy!" She dragged him over, her face almost glowing as she bought one. "I bet you've never tried this before,"
Taehyung tilted his head, watching her pull apart the fluffy, pastel-pink treat with a smirk.
"What makes you think I haven't?" he asked, eyes glinting with mischief as she popped a piece into her mouth.
Jungkook wrinkled her nose, laughing. "You just don't seem like the cotton candy type, that's all."
She tore off a bit and held it up, gesturing for him to try. He leaned forward, mouth closing over her fingers as he took a bite, his gaze meeting hers in a way that made her heart skip a beat.
"Mmm. Sweet," he murmured, and the look he gave her felt like more than just a comment on the cotton candy. She flushed, glancing away, but a small smile stayed on her lips.
They continued wandering, her voice filling the silence as Jungkook rambled about each little thing she saw and Taehyung found himself enjoying the energy she brought. He felt at ease, letting himself get lost in her world for a while.
Eventually, they stopped in front of a claw machine. Its glass front revealed a jumble of plushiesโbunnies, bears, and other adorable creatures nestled together. Jungkook's eyes widened, sparkling with delight as she pressed her hands against the glass.
"Awwie! They're so cute!" she exclaimed, bouncing on her toes. "Mr Kim, Let's try and win one!"
Taehyung crossed his arms, adopting a serious expression because he wanted to see his sulky wife. "Why?"
Jungkook pouted, her lips forming a pout. " Don't you want to make your wife happy?"
"Making you happy doesn't require a plushie," he replied, "I could just give you a chocolate bar, and there you goโinstant happiness."
She rolled her eyes, "Oh really? Then I'll just have to win one on my own."
Jungkook tossed him a stubborn look and then, she stepped up to the machine and placed her hands on the controls, hoping to draw him in. Jungkook huffed and inserted some coins for the machine to start, silently waiting for Taehying to join her.
Taehyung, however, simply leaned back, waiting for her to start, a small smirk on his lips. Jungkook fumbled with the controller, narrowing her eyes at the claw as it moved far from her intended target.
"Meanie" she muttered, sparing him a side glance. "I'm getting that bunny without your help."
Taehyung nodded innocently while hiding a smile, letting her struggle for a bit, watching her shoulders droop as the claw narrowly missed the plushie.
Jungkook focused intently on the claw, her brow furrowing in concentration. "Okay, okay... a little to the left... a little down... now, grab the bunny!"
Taehyung watched as the claw descended, its mechanical grip attempting to seize the bunny. The claw clutched at the plushie but released it.
"Ah! No! Come on!" Jungkook groaned, "Why didn't it hold on?"
"Because it's a claw machine," Taehyung said, struggling to suppress a smirk. "It's not meant to actually let you win."
Jungkook shot him an angry sideways glance, "You're supposed to be on my side!"
Jungkook's fingers hovered over the controller, her gaze fixed on the bunny plushie nestled under the glass. The beauty was oblivious to Taehyung's movements until his hands gently covered hers. his touch sent a pleasant shiver through her, and her breath caught when she felt him step closer, his broad frame enveloping her from behind.
"Let me show you how it's done," Taehyung murmured, the low timbre brushing against her ear like a soft caress.
His words caused a warmth to spread through her cheeks and made her heart stutter.
Jungkook gasped softly as his arms settled around her waist. His chest brushed against her shoulder and his fingers curled around hers as he directed the machine. The space between them felt intimate, and her cheeks flushed as she felt his breath warm against the shell of her ear.
Taehyung guided her fingers slowly, his gaze flicking from the neon buttons to her face, admiring the way her eyes softened in focus. His thumb brushed lightly over hers, sending tingles through her hand.ย
"Careful," he whispered, his voice low, sending a warm thrill through her. "A little to the left... now down, slowly..."
Jungkook nodded, too mesmerized to say anything as she let him take control. Her hands relaxed under his guidance, her heart pounding as he leaned closer, his lips hovering near her ear.
"And... now," he said, pressing the button with a confident squeeze of her fingers under his own.
The claw descended smoothly, capturing the plush bunny in its grip. They both watched, breath held, as the claw lifted the bunny. For a moment, it dangled uncertainly, as if it might fall.
Jungkook barely noticed the claw descending toward the plushie, her mind filled with the feel of him surrounding her. She felt his hold tighten subtly as the claw gripped the bunny, and with a soft thud, the bunny dropped into the prize box.
"We did it!"
Jungkook's delighted giggles filled the air, but her laughter faded as she noticed how close Taehyung still was. She held still, feeling his hands still resting over hers. Slowly, she turned her head, meeting his gaze. A shy smile played on her lips, the moment quiet and charged between them.
"Guess you're better at winning with a little help," he murmured.
Jungkook bit her lip, her cheeks warm. She tilted her head, her smile widening into a toothy grin. "You're only saying that because you finally got to play hero," she teased softly.
Taehyung's gaze remained on her, and for a heartbeat, his usual stoic expression softened. A hint of something tender flickered in his eyes, and he let a small smile curve his lips. He released her hand slowly and bent down to retrieve the plushie from the machine, holding it out to her without breaking eye contact.
"Here," he said, his voice soft as he handed it to her.
Jungkook hugged the bunny close, feeling its softness under her fingers. She looked up at him, her eyes shining with gratitude, warmth, and a hint of affection that went beyond the win.
"Thank you," she murmured, her gaze bright and lingering as she clutched the plushie.
Taehyung's eyes softened as he looked at her, "Anytime, Mrs. Kim,"
Jungkook clutched the plush bunny to her chest, her steps light as she skipped along, glancing down at the soft toy with a delighted smile. Occasionally, she'd stop to gently bop the bunny's nose against her cheek, her eyes twinkling as she playfully swung it from side to side. The plushie bounced with her every movement, looking just as lively as its owner as they wandered from stall to stall.
Taehyung kept pace beside her, his hands in his pockets, his gaze softening whenever she glanced away. He watched as she squeezed the plushie's tiny paws, her laughter filling the air like little sunshine.
Taehyung smirked, watching Jungkook's overflowing affection for the bunny plushie. He let out a low chuckle, his eyes glinting with mischief as he remarked, "Looks like you found your twin."
Jungkook halted mid-step, clutching the plushie protectively to her chest. Her eyes went wide, an offence flashing in them. Jungkook stared into the plushie's oversized, shiny eyes.
And jungkook.exe stopped working.
Her fingers tightened around the bunny, and she blinked a few times, snapping herself back to reality. She hugged the bunny even tighter, cradling it as if shielding it from Taehyung's teasing words, her lips pouting slightly.
"Shut up" Jungkook shot back, glancing between him and her new "twin." She held up the bunny, giving it an awwie look of admiration before meeting Taehyung's gaze.
"This little one is way too cute to be just a twin of mine."
"Really? I see the resemblance," Taehyung replied, his tone softening with fondness as he watched her cuddle the plushie closer, her cheeks pink with shyness.
"Give me your phone," Jungkook demanded with a feisty yet sweet voice.
Taehyung raised a brow, amused by her but wordlessly handed over his phone.
Jungkook took it with an extra huff, quickly unlocking the camera and switching it to selfie mode. She lifted the plushie beside her face, angling it just right to make the comparison "obvious."
Taehyung watched as his wife went through an entire mini-photo shoot, the corners of his mouth lifting further each time she struck a new pose.
Jungkook's expressions changed with each clickโone moment pouting, the next flashing a bright grin, then leaning her cheek against the bunny's soft head with a smile.
Taehyung shook his head slightly. His wife was adorable and seeing her so animated brought a warmth to his chest that he couldn't quite describe.
Finally satisfied, Jungkook handed the phone back to him. "Look!" she declared, still holding the bunny close. "Any resemblance, Mr. Kim?" She crossed her arms, waiting for his reaction.
"I think you need an eye test," she added with a dramatic huff as if utterly offended by the comparison.
Taehyung glanced down at his phone. The series of selfies lit up his screenโJungkook's face beaming beside the bunny plushie in every frame, each expression more adorable than the last. There she was, wide-eyed and pouty in one, bright and mischievous in the next, her cheek pressed against the bunny's soft head.
"I don't know," Taehyung replied, "I'm still seeing double."
Jungkook groaned and rolled her beautiful eyes. "Maybe you need glasses,"
Jungkook huffed and sassily tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, trying to hold back a smile but failing as it peeked through.
"Hopelessly accurate," Taehyung countered, his voice softening as he watched her. "I'll keep the picture, just for... evidence," he added, teasingly slipping the phone back into his pocket.
The wife scoffed lightly but the fondness in her gaze gave her away. She looked down at the plushie, and whispered in the bunny's fluffy ear, "At least you understand me."
Taehyung didn't argue; instead, he let his silence speak, a faint smile playing at the corner of his mouth as they continued through the fair, her laugh ringing softly beside him, lingering long after it faded.
โโโ ๏ฝฅ ๏ฝก๏พโ: *.โฝ .* :โ๏พ. โโโ
An hour had passed as they wandered through the fair. the sun dipped lower in the sky, welcoming the night and Taehyung's usual Tough-guy aura was put to the test.
The cold CEO had never imagined himself in such a positionโtransformed into a walking wardrobe for his endlessly enthusiastic wife.
Jungkook led the way, her hands full of colourful bags, her excitement palpable as she bounced from stall to stall. Taehyung trailed behind. His crisp shirt and polished shoes clashed with the fair's atmosphere, but he hardly noticed, too preoccupied with the growing pile of purchases hanging from his arms.
"Aren't these adorable?" Jungkook exclaimed, holding up a pair of glittery hair clips that sparkled in the fading light. She turned to him with wide, expectant eyes. "Can we get them?"
Taehyung glanced at the clips, then at the multitude of bags already hanging from his arms. "Do you really need them?" he replied, his tone bordering on cold as he struggled to maintain his CEO faรงade.
"But they're perfect for the outfits I just bought!" Jungkook argued, pouting slightly, a move that always tugged at his heartstrings.
Taehyung held his ground, resisting the urge to succumb to those puppy eyes. "You have plenty of clips at home," he replied firmly, crossing his arms as if he could due to the number of bags in his clutch.
Jungkook's pout deepened, and she took a small step closer, inching into his personal space. "But this one is special! Just look at the pattern!"
Taehyung remained unyielding, although his heart raced as she leaned closer.
"Mrs Kim," he insisted, trying to sound authoritative despite the funny feeling in his chest.
"Just one more, please?" Jungkook pressed, her voice softening, eyes shimmering with hope. It was the classic Jungkook tacticโpuppy eyes combined with a pout that had broken through his defences time and time again.
But today, he stood resolute. "No."
Her brows furrowed, and for a moment, he thought Jungkook might sulk. However, in the next instant, Jungkook stood up on her tippy toes. She curled her fingers around the back of Taehyung's neck, pulling him closer while her other hand cupped his cheek.
Jungkook's expression transformed into one of pure mischief, a toothy grin spreading across her face. She leaned in, her breath soft against his skin as she whispered, "You can't say no forever, Mr. Kim."
Taehyung felt his heart flutter, caught off guard by her boldness. He leaned back slightly, trying to regain his composure, but her grip on his neck kept him anchored.
"You're so mean!" she declared with slight disappointment, yet her eyes sparkled with a playful light.
Before he could respond, Jungkook leaned in and pressed her pillowy cherry-red lips against his parted lips. The unexpected warmness flooded him, making him momentarily freeze. His eyes widened in surprise as heat crept up his neck, the blush creeping across his cheeks betraying his usual patience.
Jungkook pulled back just enough to meet his gaze, her fingers still resting on his cheek. She tilted her head, her playful smile glowing as she studied him, clearly revelling in his flustered state.
"See? This is why you should say yes," she teased, her voice light and melodic, filled with sweetness and mischief that made it impossible for him to stay indifferent.
Taehyung blinked, trying to process the wave of emotions swirling inside him. It was moments like these, where her spontaneity shone through, that truly captivated him. Even though he wanted to maintain his stoic demeanour, her presence made it incredibly hard to resist.
"I suppose one more thing wouldn't hurt," Taehyung muttered, trying to sound indifferent but failing to hide the small smile tugging at his lips. He handed over the cash with a slightly defeated air, knowing all too well that the bags would continue to multiply as they moved through the fair.
Jungkook beamed at him, that radiant smile capable of melting even the frostiest of hearts.
"That's like a good hubby! Thank you, Mr. Kim!" She leaned up on her tiptoes to place a quick kiss on his cheek.
But it wasn't long before she was off again, dragging him to the next stall, filled with vibrant fabrics and handmade accessories. Taehyung's eyes wandered over the array of colourful items, a stark contrast to the monochrome suits and polished boardrooms he was used to.
"Wowww!" she exclaimed, pulling out a flowy summer dress that swirled with colors. "It would look amazing on me, don't you think?"
His brows furrowed slightly, trying to maintain his cool exterior. "If you say so," he replied nonchalantly, but his gaze softened how Jungkook held the dress against herself, twirling slightly to see how it would look.
"Mr. Kim," she teased, poking his side playfully, "you're supposed to say I look stunning! A true CEO should know how to appreciate fashion!"
Taehyung tilted his head, taking a moment to let his gaze drift over her, the faintest smile playing on his lips. He straightened, clearing his throat with a touch of his signature CEO air.
"Mrs. Kim," he began smoothly, "you look remarkable. The choice of colors sweetens your natural elegance and your confidence only elevates the overall impact. I'd say you could command any room effortlessly."
He stepped closer, eyes never leaving hers, a subtle spark in his gaze. "In fact, your presence is... magnetic. Captivating enough to sway even the most stubborn of clients," he added.
Jungkook's cheeks tinted slightly. Taehyung continued, lifting an eyebrow with a smirk. "In short, if fashion were an asset, Mrs. Kim, you'd be the highest return on investment in any room."
He leaned in, his voice dropping to a low murmur. "Stunning doesn't even begin to cover it."
"See? That wasn't so hard!" Jungkook grinned triumphantly, her eyes dancing with delight.
As they continued through the fair, Jungkook would occasionally grab another bag and toss it into his arms, giggling as he adjusted to his new role. He felt like a bodyguard for a celebrity, constantly watching her excitement bloom, even if he could barely keep a straight face.
"Do you mind carrying this one for me?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with mischief as she thrust another bag toward him. "It's just for a little while, I promise!"
Taehyung raised an eyebrow, but there was no resisting that playful look in her eyes. "Just for a little while," he repeated, knowing full well it was a slippery slope.
The hours slipped by, and the once cold CEO was now a walking wardrobe, carrying bags filled with everything from pendants to clothing. Each time he felt the weight of the bags, he reminded himself that it was all for her happiness.
"Do you want to take a break?" he finally asked, noticing her start to tire.
Jungkook shook her head. "No way! There's still so much to see! You're not tired, are you?"
"No! Not at all," he replied, though the weight of the bags suggested otherwise.
With a playful laugh, she grabbed his hand, pulling him toward the next stall. The cold, rude CEO had morphed into a devoted husband, embracing the chaos and beauty of the fair alongside his bubbly wife. And despite the tiredness creeping in, he couldn't help but feel a zeal in his chest, grateful for the moments that had turned him into her walking wardrobe.

One hour had passed, and Jungkook's bounce had started to fade. Her steps grew sluggish, and she clutched the plushie tightly to her chest, seeking comfort in its soft form. Leaning against Taehyung, she sighed, her battery draining.
Just then, Jungkook felt a rumble in her stomach causing her to blink in surprise. Jungkook looked up at Taehyung, her eyes wide and innocent, as if she hadn't just embarrassed herself.
"I think my bunny and I are both hungry," Jungkook said, trying to mask her growing hunger with a pout.
Taehyung glanced down at her, "Alright, I guess we need to fuel your hard work," he said, his tone softening as he placed a hand on her back, encouraging her to stand tall again.
"Can we find something yummy?" Jungkook asked, her eyes sparkling with hope.
"Of course," Taehyung replied, taking her hand in his and leading her toward a food stall nearby. As they walked, Jungkook leaned more into him, his presence making her feel safe and secure.
When they reached the stall, Jungkook's eyes lit up as she scanned the menu. "Oh! Look! They have hot dogs, corn dogs, andโ" she paused, her gaze landing on a bright plate of spicy tteokbokki. "And that!" she exclaimed, pointing eagerly with wide, sparkling eyes.
Taehyung found her excitement endearing.
"Spicy tteokbokki it is, then," he agreed, stepping forward to place the order. He could feel Jungkook's excitement radiating beside him, her bouncing energy slowly returning now that food was in sight.
After a brief wait, the vendor handed over a steaming plate of tteokbokki, the sweet and spicy aroma wafting through the air. Jungkook's mouth watered and she clapped her hands together in happiness.
"Thank you!" she said cheerfully, her enthusiasm infectious. She took the plate eagerly, balancing it in her hands like it was a precious treasure.
"Careful," Taehyung said, moving closer to balance her grip. "don't drop it before getting a bite."
Jungkook giggled, rolling her eyes at his overprotectiveness. "I've got it, Mr. Kim!" she teased, but her smile softened as she leaned into him slightly, feeling comforted by his presence.
Finding a nearby bench, they settled down, and Jungkook immediately dove into the tteokbokki, her eyes sparkling as she took her first bite. The heat hit her taste buds, and she let out a satisfied squeal.
"Mmm! It's so good!" she exclaimed, her cheeks puffed up with the delicious morsel.
Taehyung watched her and wiped a bit of sauce from the corner of her mouth with his thumb.
Jungkook blinked at him, momentarily caught off guard by his gesture. She felt her cheeks heat up but quickly brushed it off with a giggle.
Jungkook took another enthusiastic bite of the tteokbokki, savouring the spicy flavours that danced on her tongue. She glanced over at Taehyung, who was observing her with a bemused expression.
"Mr. Kim! Try it!" she urged, her eyes sparkling excitedly. She lifted the forkful of tteokbokki to his lips, the steam rising enticingly.
Taehyung hesitated, eyeing the vibrant red sauce that clung to the chewy rice cakes. "I'm not sure if it's my thing," he replied, his tone laced with genuine uncertainty.
"Oh, don't be a baby!" Jungkook said, playfully poking his cheek with her free hand. "It's just a little spice! You're a strong CEO; you can handle it!"
With a dramatic sigh, Taehyung leaned forward to take a bite from her fork. The moment the tteokbokki hit his tongue, he felt a rush of heat wash over him.
"See? Not so bad, right?" Jungkook giggled, watching him closely.
But Taehyung's eyes widened, and he swallowed, feeling the spice ignite a fire in his mouth. "Oh," he breathed out, his expression morphing into surprise as he coughed slightly. "That's... spicy."
Taehyung reached for his drink, only to find it empty. He fanned his mouth again, desperate to ease the burning sensation. Jungkook noticed the discomfort on his face.
"Oh no!" Jungkook exclaimed, her eyes darting around the fair.
Suddenly, she spotted a sweet shop with colourful displays of bite-sized cakes gleaming enticingly in the light.
"Wait here!" she commanded and dashed away, her bouncy steps turning into a swift run.
In what felt like mere seconds, Jungkook returned, a small box of the sweet cakes in her hands.
"I got them! I got the mini cakes!" she panted, her cheeks flushed from running.
Before Taehyung could say anything, Jungkook picked up one of the cakes and harshly shoved it into his mouth. Taehyung's eyes went wide in surprise as the soft, sugary treat, filled his mouth, the sweetness contrasting sharply with the fiery tteokbokki.
"Chew! Chew! Fast fast" Jungkook urged, bouncing slightly on her heels as she watched him.
Taehyung complied and the sweet flavour began to coat his tongue, easing the burn from earlier.
" you didn't have to shove it in my mouth like that," Taehyung spoke once he chewed the desert completely.
Jungkook laughed, her worry lifting as she saw the relief washing over his features. "I panicked! I thought I might lose you to the spice!"
"You really are dramatic," Taehyung replied.
"I'm not dramatic! I'm a great wife for saving my husband !" Jungkook shot back, crossing her arms but unable to hide her grin.
"You're great. I can't argue with that." Taehyung surrendered to his mighty wife.
"See? I'm always right!" Jungkook declared, popping a mini cake into her mouth. She then nudged the box closer to him, encouraging him to take another.
Taehyung hesitated, glancing between her and the cakes. "I don't know if I should take moreย risks after that earlier assault,"
"Assault? Please! I'm just trying to help you!" Jungkook pouted, but it was all in good fun.
"Fine, " he relented, picking up another cake.
This time, he took his time, savouring the sweetness as it melted in his mouth. Jungkook watched him with anticipation, her eyes bright.

They wandered to the quieter edges of the fair. Taehyung and Jungkook found themselves pulled by the riverside, where the soft glow of floating lanterns drifted across the water's surface. People were gathered in small clusters, holding delicate paper lanterns inscribed with their wishes and dreams. They were releasing them one by one into the gentle current.
Each lantern flickering light on the river, illuminating the wishes of countless hopeful hearts.
Jungkook's eyes widened as she looked at the scene. She tugged at Taehyung's sleeve, her voice filled with excitement. "Isn't it beautiful?"
Taehyung nodded, captivated by the sight, though his gaze drifted more toward the joy in Jungkook's expression than the lanterns on the water.
"Let's do one too!" she exclaimed.
Jungkook inspected the lanterns in the shop closely, running her fingers over its delicate paper sides and smiled, a little sparkle of excitement in her eyes.
"We could write something individually," she suggested and glanced at him smiling bashfully.
"What should we wish for?" he asked, watching as she bit her lip in thought.
Jungkook tilted her head, considering the question seriously. "Something meaningful," she said softly, finally. "Something for both of us."
Taehyung watched Jungkook carefully choose her lantern, her eyes lighting up as she thought of her wish, while he took one for himself, his thoughts turning inward. After a moment, he pulled a small brush from the vendor, and with smooth, elegant strokes, he wrote his wish in Japanese, the characters flowing naturally from his hand.
On the lantern in precise, flowing Japanese characters, he had written:
"May your laughter forever be my peace, your joy my purpose and your heart, my home."
It was a simple wish, written in a language Jungkook couldn't read yetโhis way of expressing a sentiment he wasn't always able to say out loud.
Jungkook finished writing hers and looked over just in time to see him set down the brush. Her curiosity was piqued immediately.
"What did you write?" she asked, leaning closer to peer at the characters on his lantern.
"A wish," Taehyung replied simply, his usual calm smile giving nothing away.
Jungkook narrowed her eyes, crossing her arms with an adorable pout. "I know that, Mister! But what does it say?"
He gave her a gentle, teasing smile that only fueled her curiosity. "You don't need to know everything, Mrs. Kim."
Jungkook huffed, her cheeks puffing up slightly. "Come on! I want to know."
Taehyung's gaze softened as he looked at her. "It's meaningful. I promise."
nevertheless, the wife squinted, still unsatisfied. "That's not fairโyou can read mine, but I can't read yours. You've gotta tell me at least a hint!"
He leaned closer, his voice dropping to a whisper as he gently brushed a lock of hair from her cheek.
"Alright, one hint: it has to do with you," he whispered.
Jungkook's cheeks flushed, and her pout faded into a shy smile. She glanced away, trying to hide her growing excitement.
"What do you think?" Jungkook asked showing her lantern.
He read it over, his heart stirring at the simple, earnest wish:
To always be happy together, no matter what.
Taehyung nodded. Soon, Taehyung knelt by the riverbank, carefully holding the delicate paper lantern in his hands, his expression softened by the gentle glow of its light. Beside him, Jungkook lowered herself, cradling her lantern close to her chest for a moment, her eyes flickering with excitement.
They both leaned forward, the cool breeze brushing softly against their faces as they brought the lanterns to the water's edge. Jungkook's hands were so close to his that he could feel her warmth even in the chilly air, and for a brief second, their fingers brushed.
Jungkook, her lips parted in awe, looked sideways at Taehyung. "Ready?"
He nodded, a small smile tugging at the corner of his mouth. Together, they released their lanterns, gently lowering them into the calm river. The lanterns floated out, side by side, carried by the gentle current, their lights shimmering on the water's dark surface.
For a long moment, neither of them moved, watching the lanterns drift into the distance. Jungkook leaned a little closer, her shoulder brushing against his, her eyes still fixed on the glowing lights. Taehyung noticed her lips curved in a tender smile, the reflection of the lanterns' light dancing in her eyes.
He felt a subtle squeeze on his hand and looked down to find her fingers laced with his. When he glanced back up, she was gazing at him, her face softened by the glow of the lanterns.
Jungkook leaned her head on his shoulder, sighing contentedly. "Do you think it'll come true? The wish? "
Taehyung smiled, his gaze following their lantern as it drifted further down the river, mingling with the glow of all the other wishes.
"I think it already has," he replied, his voice was soft. His lean fingers threaded through hers as they watched the light fade into the distance.
"Thank you for tonight," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the soft ripples of the river.
He looked down at her, his hand coming up to gently tuck a loose strand of hair behind her ear. "You don't need to thank me,"
They sat together in silence, wrapped in each other's warmth, watching their wish drift out into the nightโtwo hearts woven together, under the watchful gaze of the stars.
Taehyung's gaze remained on Jungkook. He wanted to be her refuge, to replace the scars left by betrayal with something softer, something she could rely on without question.
Watching her now, her content selfโit was almost enough. But he knew his promise to himself. He would give her as many nights like this as it took to heal the parts of Jungkook's broken heart.
