The indoor pool of the Kims manor glistened under the soft glow of the evening lights, casting a tranquil ambience over the room. Jungkook sat at the edge of the pool, her legs folded occupied by the magical book. Her fingers were busy flipping through the pages of the magical book in her hand.

The book emitted a faint glow, illuminating Jungkook's face with a warm, otherworldly light. Her brows furrowed in concentration as she scanned the intricate diagrams and ancient symbols inscribed on the pages, her mind fully immersed in the mysteries contained within.

Occasionally, she would bite her lip in contemplation, her eyes darting back and forth as she pieced together the cryptic instructions written in the book. Now and then, a spark of excitement would flash in her eyes as she stumbled upon a particularly intriguing passage or spell.

She traced her fingers over the diagrams, feeling them beneath her touch. The murmur of the water and the soft rustle of the pages filled the air.

"What are you reading?" Taehyung's smooth voice broke Jungkook's attention as he stepped into the hall.

"the book That Rosie gave," Jungkook answered looking at Taehyung for the first time in the evening.

Taehyung's hand extended gracefully towards Jungkook, a silent invitation in his gesture. Jungkook's gaze darted between his hand and his face. With a slight nod, she reached out, her fingers intertwining with his. As Taehyung gently pulled her up from where she sat by the indoor pool, she felt a rush of warmth spread through her at the contact.

However, Taehyung's other hand moved swiftly, snatching the book from her grasp. The suddenness of his action caught her off guard and she watched in surprise as he flung the book forcefully to the ground. The sound of the impact echoed in the hall, breaking the peace of the moment.

Jungkook's surprise was visible as the pages of the book scattered, dancing in the air before settling onto the floor in a chaotic mess. Her eyes widened as she turned to Taehyung, seeking an explanation for his sudden action.

"What--?" she questioned, her voice tinged with concern, her brows furrowing in confusion.

Instead of answering, Taehyung chooses to Do something else. Taehyung's sudden movement caught Jungkook off guard as he pulled her closer by her waist, their bodies colliding in an unexpected embrace.

Jungkook closed her eyes when she felt the gentle caress of Taehyung's hand against her cheek. However, as his touch lingered, she couldn't shake off the unsettling feeling that something was wrong.

Caught in his piercing gaze, now an unusual shade of grey, Jungkook couldn't help but frown, feeling unfamiliarity in his touch.

"Why are your eyes grey?" she asked, her tone filled with genuine curiosity.

Taehyung chuckled softly, his gaze never wavering from hers. "Contact lens," he answered casually, as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

"Contact lens?" Jungkook repeated, unable to hide her surprise. "I didn't know you wore them."

Taehyung nodded, "I don't usually. But I thought I'd try something different today."

Jungkook couldn't help but smile at his explanation. She reached out to gently touch his cheek, her fingers tracing the features of his face with tenderness.

"Well, you certainly look different," she teased. "But I have to admit, I like it."

Taehyung didn't react but twirled Jungkook. Then, he engulfed Jungkook in a back hug.
Jungkook's smile faltered as she felt Taehyung's arms wrap around her from behind. His touch, once comforting, now sent a shiver down her spine.

"Mr kim?" she whispered, her voice barely audible above the sound of her racing heart.

But Taehyung didn't respond. Instead, he held her tighter, his grip bordering on possessive. Jungkook could feel the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end as his breath tickled her ear.

"Is everything okay?" Jungkook asked, her voice tinged with unease.

Still, Taehyung remained silent, his hold on her tightening every second. Jungkook's mind raced with a million questions, each more frightening than the last.

And why did she suddenly feel so vulnerable in his presence?

As the seconds stretched into minutes, Jungkook's fear threatened to consume her. She tried to pull away but Taehyung's hold only tightened, trapping her in his embrace.

"Mr kim, please," she pleaded, her voice trembling with fear. Her hands trying to push away the veiny arms around her waist. The voice of bangles, which jungkook wore, began to echo in the pool area.

Every second with more intensity.

But Taehyung said nothing, his silence echoing in the empty room. Jungkook stood frozen in his embrace, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was standing on the cliff of something dark and unknown.

"Mr-," Before Jungkook could speak, Taehyung turned her, now facing him.

"Mr kim? Mr kim? Shut up! Don't you get tired of blabbering much," Taehyung said in a commanding tone as he turned jungkook to face him.

Jungkook's heart skipped a beat as Taehyung's sudden outburst filled the room, his words cutting through the air like a knife. She flinched slightly, her eyes widening in shock at the sudden change.

Jungkook felt hurt at his words.

This wasn't the Taehyung she knew - the kind and caring man who had always been there for her when she needed him most.

This was someone else entirely - someone cold and distant, a stranger wearing Taehyung's face.

She opened her mouth to respond, to demand an explanation for his sudden behaviour change. But the words caught in her throat, suffocated by his anger.

Taehyung's finger traced a slow path along Jungkook's waist, a shiver ran down her spine, her skin prickling uncomfortably under his touch. The once-familiar sensation now felt foreign and unsettling, sending a wave of unease washing over her. Jungkook gulped at his psychotic behaviour and his creepy smirk.

"Mr. Kim, please," Jungkook pleaded, her voice trembling with fear. "Leave me alone."

But Taehyung's grip only tightened, his touch growing more uncomfortable as he pulled her closer, his breath hot against her ear.

"Why are you so afraid, Jungkook?" he whispered, his voice low and menacing. "Don't you want to be close to me?"

Jungkook's heart raced in her chest, her pulse pounding in her ears as she struggled to break free from his grasp. She felt trapped, suffocated by his gaze and his touch.

"No, Please, Mr. Kim. Let me go."," she begged her voice barely a whisper.

"You want me to leave you, right?" Taehyung asked, his voice lowered as he played with Jungkook's hair.

Jungkook nodded rapidly, wanting to be free from his grasp as soon as possible.

"Okay,"

Then, in a swift and unexpected movement, Taehyung's hand pushed Jungkook backwards, the force sending her into the pool with a splash. Shock and disbelief Jungkook felt as the cold water enveloped her, stealing her breath away. For a moment, all she could hear was the sound of her heartbeat pounding in her ears, drowning out everything else.

Jungkook struggled against the invisible force that held her captive, her movements growing more frantic as panic began to set in. She kicked and thrashed in the water, her heart pounding in her chest as she desperately fought against the spell that bound her.

But no matter how hard Jungkook struggled, the invisible barrier held firm, trapping her in the icy water. Fear gnawed at her insides as she realized the full extent of Taehyung's betrayal. He had used his magic to trap her, leaving her helpless and vulnerable to his whims.

On the other hand, Taehyung stood at the end of the pool, he raised his hand and chanted some spells. Within a second, a ball of fire ignited from, his palm and then taehyung forwarded the ball of magic into the pool.

"Enjoy the adventure, wifey,"

Jungkook glanced up at Taehyung, his smirk sending a chill down her spine. The gleam in his eyes spoke volumes, revealing the depths of his deception and the true nature of his intentions.

Panic surged through Jungkook as she struggled to resurface, her limbs heavy and sluggish as if weighed down by invisible chains. Desperate for air, she fought against the relentless pull of the water, her chest burning with exertion as she thrashed in the darkness.

Jungkook tried to scream but no sound came out. Finally, when she could reach the surface and breathe, she drowned again. She tried to fight it, but her legs did not move. Jungkook started sinking towards the bottom of the pool again. Terror gripped her and she screamed but it was to no avail. She planned to jump off the floor of the pool and had barely reached the surface of the water when she started to sink again.

She got her calf muscle aching hard due to cramps and she was struggling to even push herself up. She tried to hold her breath not wanting to drink the water and faint soon.

The water splashes were growing loud screaming for help as the owner couldn't shout it out and after a few minutes of striving. there was a moment when the little one lost her energy and her actions slowed down and held her for a long time. Jungkook was slowly drowning while her hands still fighting for a grip never losing hope.

Then, another splash sound was heard, making large litters of water pour out of the flat pool tile.

The shadow of a male swimming towards the almost lifeless human about to hit the ground of the pool was soon carried into a strong arm.

Jungkook's body went limp in Taehyung's arms, he felt panic grips his heart. Gently cradling her unconscious form against his chest, he waded through the water towards the edge of the pool. Taehyung's mind raced with worry, his thoughts consumed by the fear of losing his beloved wife.

Her pale face, framed by wet tendrils of hair, seemed unnatural still against his shoulder, her breathing shallow and laboured.

As soon as he reached the edge of the pool, Taehyung carefully lifted Jungkook out of the water, his muscles straining with the effort as he laid her gently on the cool tiles beside the pool. Kneeling beside her, he brushed the damp strands of hair away from her face, his fingers trembling with concern as he checked for any signs of injury.

"Mrs Kim,"

Taehyung gently tapped Jungkook's cheeks, hoping to wake up her from unconsciousness. With each tap, he tried to get her back to awareness. Taehyung carefully tilted Jungkook's head to the side, allowing excess water to drain from her mouth and nose.

he prayed for her to regain consciousness, his heart pounding with fear and desperation. Taehyung cradled Jungkook's limp form, he heard the sound of hurried footsteps approaching from behind. Turning slightly, he saw his grandmother rushing towards them.

"Taehyung, what happened?" his grandmother asked, her voice laced with concern as she hurried to Jungkook's side.

"She fell into the pool," Taehyung explained quickly, his voice tight with worry.

"What? How?" Grandma asked as she dropped the towel around jungkook's shivering frame.

"I don't know what happened. She just... she just slipped."His grandmother nodded, her eyes scanning Jungkook's unconscious form with worry.

"Is she going to be okay?" Taehyung asked anxiously, his eyes searching his grandmother's face for reassurance.

"She'll be fine," his grandmother replied confidently.

"We just need to warm her up and make sure she's okay."

Taehyung hurriedly held her in his arms and went to their room. He carefully placed his wife on the bed covered with a towel.

In the next moment, Taehyung went to fetch a heater and grandmother lit candles around the room to provide additional warmth. They placed the heater near Jungkook, ensuring that its comforting heat covered her shivering form.

With each passing moment, the room grew warmer, the candlelight casting dancing shadows on the walls.

Taehyung's eyes never left Jungkook's face as he watched over her, his heart heavy with worry. He longed to see her open her eyes, to hear her voice once more, filling the room with her warmth and energy.

Meanwhile, the elderly grandmother continued to tend to Jungkook, gently wiping away any remaining water droplets. She placed additional blankets over Jungkook, ensuring that she was snug and warm as she lay unconscious on the bed.

"I'm going to prepare soup for her," Grandma caressed taehyung's shoulder who nodded slightly. She then went away leaving taehyung and jungkook alone.

Taehyung sat beside Jungkook on the bed, his eyes softening as he gently brushed her hair away from her face. With tender care, he tucked a stray strand behind her ear, his touch feather-light against her skin.

In the candlelight, Jungkook's features appeared peaceful, her lashes casting delicate shadows on her cheeks as she lay unconscious. Taehyung's heart clenched with concern as he studied her face, his thoughts filled with worry for her well-being. He longed for her to awaken, to see the spark return to her eyes and the warmth to her smile, but for now, all he could do was watch over her and wait for her to stir from her slumber.

Grandma came back and kept the soup on the bedside table. Silently praying for jungkook's speedy recovery.

Jungkook slowly regained consciousness, her eyelids fluttering as she struggled to open them. She blinked a few times, trying to make sense of her surroundings. Her body felt heavy, and her mind was clouded with confusion.

As her vision cleared, she noticed Taehyung hovering above her.

But in that instant, memories of his earlier actions flooded her with a sinister smirk, the feeling of being trapped. With a sudden surge of panic, she sat up with a jerk, pushing Taehyung away from her with all her strength.

"Get away from me!" she exclaimed, her voice trembling with fear and anger as she recoiled from his touch.

Her heart pounded in her chest as she scrambled backwards, her eyes glancing around the room for any sign of escape. Taehyung was shocked by the sudden push, his expression shifting from concern to confusion and hurt.

"Jungkook, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice tinged with disbelief as he watched her retreat from him.

But Jungkook's mind was racing with fear and suspicion. She couldn't shake the memory of his earlier actions, the way he had trapped her and left her helpless. She couldn't trust him, not after what he had done.

"Stay away from me," she repeated, her voice firm as she backed away from Taehyung, her eyes filled with fear and defiance.

Grandma approached Jungkook with a look of concern, her eyes filled with empathy as she took in Jungkook's distressed expression. Jungkook, feeling overwhelmed by the recent events, instinctively reached out and wrapped her arms around Grandma in a tight hug, seeking comfort and solace in her presence.

With tears in her eyes, Jungkook whispered to Grandma, her voice trembling with emotion, "Please, Grandma, ask this man to leave. I... I can't bear to look at him right now."

Grandma held Jungkook close, her heart breaking at the sight of her beloved's pain. She gently stroked Jungkook's hair, murmuring words of comfort and reassurance as she held her tight.

"I understand, dear," Grandma said softly, "I'll talk to Taehyung and ask him to give you some space. You're safe now, Jungkook. I won't let anything happen to you."

Jungkook nodded, clinging to Grandma's embrace as she tried to calm her racing heart. She felt a sense of relief wash over her knowing that Grandma was there to support her and protect her from harm.

Taehyung looked at his grandma in confusion but the elderly lady reassured him.

Grandma placed a comforting hand on Jungkook's shoulder. "Let's get you out of these wet clothes and warm up first," she said, guiding her to a chair.

โ€ข---๐Ÿฅ€---โ€ข

After some time, Jungkook sat on the bed dressed in dry clothes. Grandma wrapped a warm and cosy blanket around her. Till now, the trembling had stopped and only a few sniffles were heard occasionally.

"Now, my child. Tell me what happened?" Grandma asked in a very soft tone, just like talking to a newborn baby. She gently caressed the wet locks to provide some comfort to the sobbing jungkook.

Jungkook looked at her grandmother and then back at Taehyung. "He... he pushed me," she said, her voice trembling.

"But how could I ?" Taehyung spoke as soon as heard Jungkook's accusation.

Jungkook's voice was sharp as she glared at Taehyung, her eyes flashing with anger and accusation.

"Don't act ignorant. You know very well that you pushed me into the pool,"

Taehyung's frown deepened as he struggled to comprehend Jungkook's words. His gaze flickered between her and his grandmother, who stood nearby with a concerned expression on her face.

"What are you talking about, Jungkook? I would never do something like that. Why would I ever hurt you?" he protested, his tone tinged with disbelief.

But Jungkook remained steadfast, her anger simmering just below the surface.

"Don't lie to me, Mr Kim. I saw you push me. First, you threw that book away and then trapped me in your sweet talks." she insisted, her voice trembling.

Grandmother spoke again, her tone gentle but insistent. "Jungkook, are you sure you didn't just slip and fall into the pool accidentally?" she asked, her eyes filled with concern.

Jungkook paused, her mind racing as she tried to recall what had happened.

Could it be possible that she had slipped and fallen?

But the memory of Taehyung's smirk and his hand on her waist was crystal clear in her mind.

"No, I didn't slip," In the end, she shook her head.

"Jungkook, I understand that you're upset but Taehyung was with me the entire time," she explained, her tone tinged with concern.

Jungkook's eyes went in Grandma's direction as soon as she heard her sentence.

"What?" Jungkook whispered.

"But I saw him..." Jungkook began, her voice faltering as the pain started to creep into her mind.

Jungkook looked at Taehyung, the doe eyes asked for confirmation from the black ones. Taehyung nodded as if he read his wife's mind.

Grandma reached out and placed a comforting hand on Jungkook's shoulder.

"I know it's difficult to make sense of what happened but sometimes our minds can play tricks on us. Perhaps you slipped and fell accidentally, and your mind filled in the rest."

"But, I. He was there,.." Jungkook mumbled something.

The memory of being pushed into the cold water, the grey-eyed Taehyung and the feeling of helplessness washed over her in waves. Her heart raced and a sharp headache started to form, pounding at her temples. She tried to shake it off, but the pain only intensified.

the headache became unbearable. Her vision blurred and she swayed, her strength leaving her body. "I... I can't..." she managed to say before collapsing back onto the bed, unconscious.

"Jungkook!" Taehyung exclaimed, reaching out to catch her. Panic flooded through him as he cradled her limp form. He quickly checked her pulse and breathed a sigh of relief when he found it steady, though weak.

Grandma placed her hand on Jungkook's forehead, feeling for any sign of fever. "She's exhausted and overwhelmed," she said softly. "We need to let her rest."

Taehyung nodded, his jaw clenched in frustration and concern.

"What if it happens again? What if she's not safe?" he murmured, more to himself than to his grandmother.

"We'll keep a close watch on her," Grandma reassured him. "But for now, we must let her sleep. Rest is the best thing for her."

Taehyung carefully laid Jungkook back down, adjusting the blankets around her. He turned to his grandmother, his eyes filled with anger.

"Whoever did this with my wife... they won't get away with it. I promise it," he vowed.

Grandma nodded, understanding his will. "We'll find out who is behind this and make sure they can't harm her again."
