Taehyung approached their room in tension. He half-expected to find Jungkook lost in the quiet hurricane of her emotions, perhaps shedding tears to lessen the pain.

The door creaked open, revealing a room bathed in a soft glow. However, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion when he discovered Jungkook seated behind the edge of the bed, her face towards the balcony door.

Approaching her, Taehyung's initial concern shifted to surprise as he noticed Jungkook surrounded by cakes and macarons with Arathorn, his pet eagle straddled nearby.

"Jungkook," Taehyung uttered with curiosity and relief in his voice.

Jungkook looked up with a big dazzling smile on her lips.

"Mr Kim, look," she gestured towards the cakes and sweet stuff scattered around her, " Mister Arathorn is a gentleman. I was sitting here alone so he gave me company and tried to lighten my mood."

Taehyung looked at Arthorn who flapped his majestic wings at the acknowledgement.

"Gentleman?" he scoffed in his mind.

Taehyung's initial surprise evolved into a shock as he saw Jungkook immersed in a messy encounter with the cake. Crumbs adorned her face and there was a playful glint in her eyes that hinted at a desire to break free from the weight of the family drama.

As they sat side by side, Jungkook reached for a slice of cake and held it out to Taehyung with a playful expression.

"Eat it, Mister,"

Taehyung accepted the offered slice, he held jungkook's dainty hand and pulled it closer to his mouth. Jungkook felt the warm breath on his fingers but her starry eyes were hypnotized by her husband's. Taehyung leaned forward and took the cake in his mouth, his cream-smeared lips could feel the softness of his wife's finger.
Jungkook slowly pulled her hand back and looked away with a slight blush.

Again she could feel those annoying unemployed butterflies.

The balcony door, slightly opened, allowed a gentle breeze to sweep into the room. Arathorn who was straddled nearby hid his face behind his wings.

They both sat in silence beside each other glazing the sparkling sky. Despite the calmness of the sky, the earlier scene in the living room played over in Jungkook's mind like a haunting nightmare.

Jumgkook had been blamed for something she hadn't done, her character was shattered by accusations. This all had left her teary-eyed and hurt but she had put on a brave face, pretending nothing was wrong. Jungkook sat there fingers fiddling with the thread of the dress.

Taehyung glanced at her, noticing how her shoulders trembled slightly and how she avoided his gaze. Her fingers were busy twisting the hem of her dress, a clear sign of her anxiety. He reached out and gently tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, his touch comforting and electrifying.

"Jungkook," he said softly, his voice breaking the silence. "Are you okay?"

"Y-Yes, I'm fine. What would happen to me?" she replied chirply. She didn't want to burden him with her feelings, especially not after everything that had happened.

Taehyung frowned, not convinced. He gently lifted her chin with his finger, forcing her to meet his eyes. "You don't have to pretend with me," he said, his voice firm yet tender. "I know what happened earlier wasn't fair."

Jungkook's eyes filled with fresh tears at his words and she bit her lip to keep them from spilling over. "I just... I don't want to cause more trouble," she admitted, her voice cracking. "I feel so useless sometimes."

Taehyung's gaze softened, and he moved closer to her, their knees almost touching. "You're not useless," he said, his tone leaving no room for doubt.

"You've done more than anyone could ask for and I value your honesty."

A tear finally escaped, trailing down Jungkook's cheek. She quickly wiped it away, nodding at his words.

"Thank you, Mr. Kim," the wife whispered.

Taehyung decided to break the silence, "No matter what happens, Jungkook, your self-respect matters.
I respect you and I want you to do the same. My mother, as much as she is family, doesn't have the right to raise a finger on your character.
And if mom tries to degrade you in future then walk away or defend yourselves. "

Jungkook looked at Taehyung in awe while blessing him with a fond smile and nodded in tiny.

"Mr Kim, who is Yuna? Did I come between you two?" Jungkook asked after gulping a big piece of cake.

"Yuna? She was my fianceโ€”-

"Means you both were going to marry if mother-in-law would be healthy? Perhaps you were courting her also,"

"No, our marriage was arranged by mother and grandma. I don't know even one thing about Yuna except her name. And you are talking about courting?"
Taehyung didn't know why he wanted to clear everything with Jungkook at that instant.

"Are you telling the truth?" Jungkook narrowed her eyes at taehyung.

"Yes,"

"Hmm, so it's Detective Kookie's time to shine," Jungkook kept her hand on her chin and rubbed it.

Taehyung looked at his wife, who was busy in her fantasy world.

Jungkook stood up from her place and walked around the room, her hands were folded around her chest. Her lips puckered into a pout and her eyebrows were furrowed.

She took a notepad with a pen and sat on the couch. Taehyung too followed her wife and sat beside her.
He looked at his wife who was scribbling something on the paper, he could see the small portion of tongue pressed between the plush lips of his wife.

After a few minutes, the book was forwarded to Taehyung.

"Don't mind my handwriting. Read them," Taehyung nodded.

( I want your comment, especially on this part. Bcz this picture is made and edited by me. *hmph*)

Taehyung looked up after reading all the points. Jungkook smiled widely and wriggled her eyebrows, "How is my observation? Enough to become a detective, right? Sometimes I think about how much talent I have in my tiny body."

"Hmm, I'm confused at the fourth point. Elaborate it," Taehyung forwarded the book to Jungkook who peeked at the notebook and giggled reading the fourth point.

"It's. My sixth sense gave me signals and I swear on my clips, Kang Yuna is mysterious. Nevertheless, would Mr Kim Taehyung like to join hands with his pretty intelligent wife, together we will destroy that Yuna-tuna,"

Jungkook forwarded his palm to her husband. Taehyung shook his head at his wife's antique and kept his hand on jungkook's, who smiled widely and jumped on her place in tiny.

"Yesshh, Team Taekookie," Jungkook yelled in the room and clapped hard.

"Taekookie?" Taehyung frowned upon the word.

"Yeah, Tae from your name and Kookie from mine, Taekookie, nice name right?" Jungkook's eyes beamed with happiness.

These eyes were the same who shed tears of pain a few hours ago.

Arathorn was perched high above the couple, watching them with something similar to affection in his sharp, golden eyes.

If an eagle could have hearty eyes, Arathorn certainly did in that moment.

With a soft chirp, he spread his powerful wings and took flight, soaring gracefully into the sky.

He flew across vast landscapes, gliding effortlessly through the winds as he made his way toward the Mystic Forest. the air grew dense and the trees whispered with secrets long forgotten.

Arathorn darted through the towering trees until he reached a secluded spotโ€”Alara's Corner.

There stood the magical tree, its bark shimmering faintly with an ethereal glow. The tree had long been barren, its branches lifeless and still. But today, as Arathorn approached, his sharp eyes caught sight of something extraordinary.

A single, delicate bud was blooming on one of the withered branches. There was an already bloomed flower at one part of the tree.

The eagle chirped happily, circling the tree in excitement.

The blooming bud was a symbolโ€”a sign that a new love story was unfolding.

The once barren tree, now showing signs of life, mirrored the blossoming love between Taehyung and Jungkook. Arathorn watched the bud as it slowly opened, its petals unfurling in soft shades of pink and gold, casting a magical glow over the forest floor.

With a final joyful cry, Arathorn soared back into the sky, carrying with him the blessing of the Mystic Forest and the promise that the love between Taehyung and Jungkook was destined to grow stronger, just like the magical tree.

The eagle's flight back toward the couple was swift, his heart filled with happiness.

The forest had seen many stories but it knewโ€”this one was special.

Jungkook was walking around the poolside with a mug of hot milk in her hand. She mindlessly strolled around it, occasionally sipping the hot milk. A thin shawl was draped around her small figure, protecting her from the chilly breeze of the night.

The milk was soothing to her taste buds and calmed her restless mind.
Her mind was introspecting all the events of the day. Her eyes became teary when she recalled Soomin's degrading words and phrases about her character.

Yuna's gentle knocks echoed through the door, interrupting the privacy that Jungkook sought within the confines of the pool. Startled, Jungkook wiped away the tears, composing herself before looking back at Yuna, standing near the door.

Yuna stood there with a facade of concern and spoke with masked sympathy, "Jungkook, may I come in? I heard what happened and I wanted to inform you something."

Jungkook managed a small, tight-lipped smile, "Of course, Yuna. What brings you here?"

Yuna's eyes were masked with an air of innocence and held something more.

"Jungkook, you know this house, this place...
Everything was going to be mine. But I don't know what happened to Taehyung that he married you?" Yuna looked around the house before looking into jungkook's eyes.

"Anyways, I just wanted to remind you of your place in all this."

Jungkook, sensing the shift in Yuna's demeanour, tensed but remained composed, "Excuse me?"

Yuna's eyes bore into Jungkook's with an unsettling intensity, "You're not here for love, Jungkook. Taehyung and I share a history that you can't possibly understand. He promised me that you would be here for a few days, and then he would marry me. You're just a pawn in this, a tool for his protection."

"Liar," jungkook thought and controlled her best not to roll her eyes at her.

"Who are you to say all this nonsense?"

Jungkook wiped away the tears with a swipe of her hand, her gaze transforming into a fierce glare fixed on Yuna.

"You can't manipulate me. And please don't think that I will cry like a daily soap heroine who can't even stand up for themselves.
Believe me, I may look like a sweet and shy person but I know how to fix creeps like you.
A marriage is not a game and I won't let you turn mine into one." Jungkook spoke with head high and a pretty smirk adorning her face. Her hands were crossed in front of her chest.

Yuna was caught off guard by the unexpected resistance but still responded with a haughty laugh, "Oh, sweet Jungkook. You're so naive. Taehyung is destined for excellence and he needs someone who can truly protect him."

Jungkook's expression hardened, the mocking smile on Yuna's face fueling her determination.
Her eyes once filled with vulnerability, now sparkled with fire as she confronted Yuna.

"Yuna, you may think you have a say in our lives, but let me make one thing clear โ€“ you're overstepping your boundaries."

Yuna raised an eyebrow with mockery, "Oh? And what can you possibly do to stop me?"

Jungkook's lips curled into a steely smile, her demeanour shifting from wounded to assertive.

She moved forward and whispered, "I may or may not know about your real face.
And honey, I'm sure you won't want Mr Kim and mother Soomin to see your bitchy attitude.
So, as long as you are in My Husband's house, behave like a shy timid lady."

Jungkook walked away nudging her shoulder, before stepping out, she turned around, " Always remember Mr Kim and I share something real, something you'll never understand."

Yuna was taken aback by Jungkook's strength and tried to regain control with a scoff, "You're just a pawn in this game, Jungkook. Soon, you'll see the reality."

"Look at the place you are standing at. This is my husband's house, my husband's room. We can surely see who is the outsider here.
I am Kim Taehyung's wife, not as a pawn, but as his partner.
You can't change that."
Jungkook smirked looking at Yuna's fuming state.

"We'll see about that."

That's all Jungkook heard before she left the poolside.
