The large kitchen of Kims Manor was quiet, bathed in the soft hues of dawn. The first rays of sunlight were welcomed by the large Victorian-style window of the cooking space, casting a golden glow across the marble countertops and flooring.
Jungkook stood by the stove, her delicate hands expertly flipping the eggs. Her hair was loosely tied, a few stray strands framing her face. The early morning was comforting as she moved gracefully, grabbing a spatula and gently plating the eggs. Her expression was serene, her lips curling into a faint smile as she reached for the bread, popping a couple of slices into the toaster.
The light from the rising sun kissed her features, highlighting the soft curve of her cheeks and the natural glow of her skin. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, humming a soft tune under her breath.
The calm hush of the home felt like her own little haven.
As Jungkook walked past the glass cabinet, she caught sight of her reflection. She paused, her gaze fixed on herself. A soft blush crept up her cheeks as she noticed the faint marks scattered across her pale skin, peeking out from the neckline.
Her fingers brushed over the spot on her neck and her lips curled into a shy smile.
ย Last night...
The memories made her stomach flutter. Taehyung had cherished her so thoroughly, his touch soft yet demanding. The soft marks left against her pale skin stood as a proof of her husband's affection from the previous night.
But her smile faltered as a sudden sneeze escaped her, followed by another, and then another. She sniffled, realizing the cold from last night's shower was catching up to her.
Shaking her head, Jungkook chuckled softly.
What a night.
Her fingers absentmindedly brushed against her neck, a small smile gracing her lips as the memory came rushing back.
Flashback
The water cascaded over them, heightening every sensation, every touch, and their breaths mingled. Every inch of her skin tingle under his touch, his fingers firm as they roamed over her, mapping every curve and hollow possessively.
Taehyung's eyes were dark, molten and brimming with untamed hunger, locking onto hers with an intensity that made her knees weak. His sharp jaw clenched as his gaze flickered to her parted lips, then back to her flushed cheeks, drinking in the sight of her like a man starved.
The corners of his mouth curled into a smirk, one that promised no escape, only complete surrender.
Water dripped from his damp hair, tracing rivulets down the sharp angles of his face before pooling at the strong line of his collarbone. His lips hovered just a whisper away from hers, his warm breath teasing her senses. The distance between them was a torment, his intentional control only amplifying the suspense thrumming in the air.
Jungkook'sย fingers curled into the muscles of his shoulders, her chest rising and falling as she struggled to steady herself against the sheer pull of him. Taehyung tilted his head, his nose brushing against hers as his lips grazed her own in the faint touchesโjust enough to leave her yearning for more.
Just as his mouth was about to claim hers, a faint tickle bloomed in her throat.
Jungkook's eyes widened in panic, and before she could stop herself, a sharp sneeze interrupted the intimate moment.
"Achoo!"
Jungkook's hands flew to her mouth, mortified, while Taehyung froze mid-motion.
The sneeze echoed in the bathroom, breaking the heated tension like a stone dropped into still water.
Taehyung froze, his brows furrowing as he pulled back, his hands still bracketing her hips. Jungkook sniffled, a sheepish look crossing her face. She sneezed again, her body trembling now, not just from the sneeze but from the icy water that still poured over them.
Taehyung's expression shifted immediately from smoldering to worried. His eyes swept over her, noticing the subtle shivers wracking her frame.
Without another word, he carefully lowered her legs and set her down on the floor. He reaching out to twist the shower knob, cutting off the water. He grabbed the large towel hanging nearby and wrapped it tightly around her petite trembling frame.
The thick fabric enveloped her, and he pulled her close to his chest, his warmth seeping into her chilled skin.
"You're freezing," he muttered, his voice laced with guilt as he began to rub her arms through the towel, generating warmth.
"I'm fine," Jungkook insisted weakly, though the way she clutched the towel and shivered told another story.
"Fine?" he echoed, raising a brow as she sniffled again. His hand gently tipped her chin upward, his thumb brushing a damp strand of hair from her cheek. "You're shivering like a leaf, Mrs. Kim. This isn't fine."
Her lips parted to protest, but another sneeze escaped her, drawing a soft chuckle from Taehyung. He shook his head, a fond smile tugging at his lips despite his worry.
Without hesitation, he scooped her into his arms, holding her close as he carried her out of the bathroom. "What am I going to do with you?" he murmured, his tone affectionate as she buried her face in the crook of his neck.
"I didn't want to ruin the moment..." she mumbled, sniffing slightly, her voice muffled against his skin.
Taehyung sighed, his lips pressing a soft kiss to her damp temple. "Moments can wait," he said firmly. "Your health can't. Silly smol wifey."
Jungkook lightly slapped his chest for his audacity to call her smol and silly. "You're getting bold, Mr. Kim."
Taehyung chuckled, the sound deep and warm as his arms tightened around her, holding her securely against his chest. "Bold? It's being honest," he teased, the corner of his lips curling into a smug smile.
"Honest, huh?" Jungkook shot back, her hand pressing against his chest, trying to create some distance, though the slight tremble in her frame ruined her attempt at defiance.
"Yes, honest," he said, his voice dropping to a tender murmur. "Now sit still, my not-so-smol wife, and let me take care of you."
Jungkook huffed, though the warmth blooming in her chest couldn't be denied. "Fine," she mumbled, sinking further into his hold, her fingers curling into the fluffy towel as she let him pamper her.
Taehyung placed her gently on the bed and disappeared momentarily, returning with a blow dryer and a fresh set of clothes. Jungkook noticed he had changed into fresh clothes too.
Kneeling in front of her, he began to pat her hair dry with a smaller towel. The hum of the blow dryer filled the room as his fingers combed through her damp locks, ensuring each strand was dried thoroughly.
Jungkook watched him through half-lidded eyes, her chest warming at the sight of his focused expression. His wild, dominant demeanor had been replaced by one of nurturing care.
Once satisfied, Taehyung draped a fresh blanket over her. He adjusted the blanket around her shoulders and tucked her in, his large hands smoothing the edges with care.
"I'll get you something warm to drink." he murmured, his thumb brushing against her cheek as he gazed down at her.
"Thank you, Mr. Kim," she whispered, her voice soft and filled with gratitude.
Taehyung leaned down, pressing a lingering kiss to her forehead. "Anything for you, Mrs. Kim," he said simply, his voice carrying a quiet promise.
Jungkook flinched as the ting of the toaster echoed in the quiet kitchen, the sharp sound snapping her out of her thoughts. She blinked, her surroundings coming back into focusโthe morning light through the window and the aroma of toasted bread.
Her gaze instinctively shifted to the glass cabinet nearby, where her reflection stared back at her. The sight made her pause, her cheeks warming at what she saw. Her pale skin bore faint traces of last nightโsoft pink marks along the delicate line of her collarbone, fading as they disappeared under the neckline of her loose blouse.
Her hand rose, almost unconsciously, to brush against the marks, her fingers trailing softly over them. A warmth spread from her chest to her cheeks, and she let out a shaky sigh.
She sniffled suddenly, her nose wrinkling at the lingering chill that still clung to her from last night's escapades in the shower. A faint chuckle escaped her lips despite herself as she remembered the moment.
That sneeze, she thought, shaking her head with a embarrassed laugh. She could still picture Taehyung's expression when her delicate sneeze shattered the wild, intense atmosphere between them.
How his fiery gaze had shifted in an instant to concern, his brow furrowing, his movements changing from heated to tender.
Jungkook's hand absently brushed her arms, remembering the way he had rubbed warmth into her skin, how his touch had shifted from possessive to protective in the blink of an eye.
The memory of Taehyung wrapping her in a towel and muttering about her stubbornness replaying in her mind.
"Moments can wait, your health can't," she whispered aloud, imitating his deep, chiding voice with a small smile tugging at her lips.
The toaster's warmth had begun to fade as Jungkook carefully removed the slices of bread, her fingers moving delicately. She sniffled yet again, this time slightly louder, and groaned, her hands covering her face.
"Really, Jungkook? Pull yourself together," she muttered, her voice muffled against her palms.
Still, even as she chastised herself, her thoughts remained warm, the memory of Taehyung's care weaving through her mind like the golden threads of the morning sun.
Only Mr Kim could go from wild to worried in the blink of an eye.
Jungkook began to carefully plate the breakfast onto a large tray, her movements precise but tinged with a certain lightness that reflected her mood. The freshly toasted bread, the soft butter melting on its surface and scrambled eggs along with a steaming pot of teaโall of it felt more special today, though Jungkook couldn't quite pinpoint why.
Or rather, she didn't want to admit it outright.
Her lips curled into a soft giggle as Jungkook reached for a jar of honey, her fingers grazing the cool glass. The memory of last night fluttered in her mind, sending tiny waves of butterflies through her chest. She couldn't help the giddy feeling bubbling inside her, her heart skipping.
Her husband's words, his touch, the way he looked at herโall of it replayed vividly, making her bite her lip to suppress her grin.
But her reverie was abruptly broken by a voice calling her name.
"Jungkook."
Startled, Jungkook almost knocked over the small cup of tea she had just placed on the tray. Her hands flew to her neckline, hurriedly adjusting it to hide the faint marks peppered against her pale skin. She brushed a few strands of hair onto her neck in an attempt to conceal what she could.
It was early and Jungkook hadn't anticipated running into anyone, so she had skipped concealing them with makeup.
Turning toward the source of the voice, she saw Grandma entering the kitchen with a knowing smile.
"Good morning, dear," Grandma greeted, her soft voice laced with warmth.
"Good morning, Grandma," Jungkook replied, trying to sound calm as her fingers fiddled nervously with the hem of her blouse.
"What are you doing up so early?"
Jungkook smiled sheepishly, gripping the edge of the counter for support. "Grandma. I'm, uh... making breakfast."
Grandma's eyes narrowed slightly in a way that made Jungkook's stomach twist nervously. "Breakfast?" she asked, looking at the appetizing tray of breakfast. "For everyone?"
"Well... no, not exactly," Jungkook bit her lip, hesitating for a moment and shook her head quickly.
"Just for Mr. Kim and me," she explained, her voice faltering slightly. "We'll be busy attending a conference call until brunch, so I thought..." Her words trailed off under Grandma's sharp yet gentle gaze.
Grandma studied her for a moment, her sharp gaze flickering to Jungkook's flushed face and the way her fingers kept fidgeting with the edges of her blouse. Then, as if deciding to let her off the hook, Grandma gave a small nod.
"I see. It's good to take care of each other," she said with a knowing smile. "But you should take care of yourself too."
Jungkook smiled bashfully, her fingers still fidgeting with the towel on the counter. She turned her attention back to the food to busy her trembling hands.
Just as she reached for a spoon, a sudden, forceful sneeze broke the momentary silence.
"Achoo!"
The force of it startled her, and she barely had time to register it before another followed.
Grandma's expression shifted to concern as she moved closer. "What happened? Are you feeling unwell?"
Jungkook turned, her cheeks glowing red as she fumbled for an excuse. "N-no, it's nothing, Grandma. Just, um... seasonal changes!" she blurted out, waving a hand dismissively.
Grandma didn't seem convinced, her sharp eyes narrowing slightly as she studied Jungkook. "Seasonal changes? Hmm. Were you exposed to the cold?"
Jungkook fumbled for words, her cheeks turning a deeper shade of pink. "Uh... maybe the air was a bit chilly last night..."
Grandma's eyes twinkled with a hint of amusement, but she didn't press further. "Well, next time, make sure you dress warmly next time, dear. We wouldn't want Mr. Kim worrying unnecessarily."
Jungkook let out a nervous laugh, nodding quickly. "Of course, Grandma. I'll be careful."
Just as the moment seemed to settle, the sound of soft footsteps echoed from the hallway, followed by a faint yawn. Jimin appeared at the doorway, her hair falling in loose waves around her shoulders, dressed casually in an oversized sweater and pants. She blinked sleepily, rubbing her eyes as she stepped into the kitchen.
"Morning," she mumbled, her voice still laced with grogginess. Her gaze swept the room, landing on the pitcher of water on the counter. She made a beeline for it, grabbing a glass from the cabinet.
Jungkook looked up, startled by the sudden intrusion and hurriedly adjusted her neckline, brushing a few stray strands of hair to better cover the faint marks on her neck.
Jimin caught the nervous movement and raised an eyebrow, a smirk forming on her lips. "Good morning, Jungkook," she greeted, a teasing lilt in her voice.
"G-good morning, Jimin," Jungkook replied, her voice slightly higher than usual as she tried to keep her composure.
Jimin leaned casually against the counter, her sharp eyes flicking between Jungkook's flushed face and the beautifully arranged tray.
"Wow, this looks fancy. Are you planning to spoil my brother with all this?"
Jungkook laughed nervously, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear. "It's just breakfast."
"Breakfast that's looking like it belongs in a five-star hotel," Jimin teased, leaning closer to inspect the tray. Her sharp eyes caught the faint marks peeking out from the edge of Jungkook's neckline, and her lips curled into a sly smirk.
"Well, well," Jimin drawled, a mischievous smirk tugging her lips. "Looks like someone had an interesting night."
Jungkook froze, her blush deepening as she instinctively touched her neck. "W-what? No! It's nothing like thatโ"
Jimin raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. "Oh, please. You don't have to lie to me, Mrs. Kim," she said with a wink. "Your face says it all."
"Jimin," Grandma interjected, her tone half-warning and half-amused. "Don't tease her so much. It's natural for a husband and wife to have moments."
Jungkook's jaw dropped slightly, and she buried her face in her hands. "Grandma!"
Jimin burst out laughing at Jungkook's mortified reaction, patting her shoulder lightly. "Relax, Jungkook. It's cute. Honestly, it's nice to see my brother so... human. You've done something none of us ever couldโturned the stoic Taehyung into a softie."
Jungkook peeked through her fingers, her expression still flustered but softening at Jimin's words. "Thanks, I guess..."
Grandma smiled warmly, stepping forward to touch Jungkook's arm gently. "Ignore her teasing, dear. You're doing a wonderful job as a wife. But take care of yourself too. We can't have you catching a cold."
Jungkook nodded, her heart swelling with gratitude as she looked between Grandma and Jimin. Despite her embarrassment, their affection made her feel deeply cherished.
As the conversation wound down, Grandma gave Jungkook one last reassuring pat on her arm and moved toward the doorway.
"Okay, I will take my leave too. Don't let him boss you around too much, okay?" Jimin quipped with a wink, her teasing nature back in full force as she headed for the door.
"Okay!" Jungkook replied, rolling her eyes but unable to suppress her laugh.
Jimin's footsteps faded down the hall, the kitchen fell quiet once more. Jungkook let out a deep breath, pressing a hand to her flushed cheeks. Her gaze drifted to the tray of food she had so carefully prepared.
Jungkook leaned against the counter. "I really need to get better at lying," she muttered under her breath, her lips curving into embarrassed smile.
Straightening up, she picked up the tray with care, pausing for one last look at her reflection in the glass cabinet. Her hair falling in soft waves over her shoulders. Her cheeks were still pink, her lips curved into a bashful smile.
"Alright, Jungkook," she whispered to herself, steadying the tray. "Let's get this to him before the teasing really begins."
And with that, Jungkook walked out of the kitchen, the scent of freshly prepared breakfast wafting around her, ready to face her husband's inevitable remarksโand the warmth that only he could bring to her life.
โโโ ๏ฝฅ ๏ฝก๏พโ: *.โฝ .* :โ๏พ. โโโ
Jungkook paused just outside the home office, staring at the half close door for a moment, her heart fluttering as she saw the outline of Taehyung sitting at the couch. Th rustle of papers and the sound of his pen gliding over the documents only intensified the knot in her stomach. She had tried to escape the lingering heat of the night before, but now, seeing him again, the thought of facing him after what had happened last night made her nervous.
She had woken up early and slipped out of bed to avoid the inevitable teasing she knew was coming. Her heart had raced as she grabbed the opportunity to get away, but now...now she had to face him, and it was going to be a long conference callโthree hours of being in the same room with him, with his charm, his presence and the memory of what they had shared.
With a deep breath, Jungkook straightened her shoulders and stepped forward. The moment she entered the room, her eyes automatically found himโdressed in a beige coat, white shirt, and a deep violet-blue tie, his hair styled perfectly, the epitome of professional grace.
Taehyung looked every bit the CEO he was, the calm and composed self 180 degree opposite to the wild passion they'd shared just hours ago.
It felt... different.
How would Jungkook sit through the conference call with the memory of his touch still burning in her mind?
Jungkook's reverie broke when Taehyung's voice filled the room. He became engaged in a call with a manager. His voice was commanding as he discussed details of the upcoming project. His tone was firm, yet smooth and every word carried authority.
"Make sure the logistics are sorted," Taehyung was saying. "We can't afford any delays on this. Let me know if there's anything urgent."
He paused, listening for a moment.
Jungkook didn't make a sound as she moved around the room, setting the breakfast tray down on the table. She carefully arranged everything but her mind was far from the task at hand.
Without saying a word, Taehyung shifted some of the documents from his desk, making room for the breakfast Jungkook had prepared. His actions were smooth, as though he had done this a thousand times, yet there was a certain intimacy in the way he rearranged the space for her.
Taehyung's mind danced between the conversation on the call and his wife moving quietly around him. His eyes, though fixed on the scattered documents and laptop screen, flickered occasionally to Jungkook as she moved, placing the breakfast tray down and tidying up.
She's breathtaking, he thought, his focus momentarily faltering.
His words on the call came out on autopilot, his thoughts slipping back to the night before. The way her skin glistened under the warm shower, the feel of her against him as the water cascaded over themโraw, intimate and utterly intoxicating.
His fingers absently trailed over the edge of a file, but his mind was elsewhere. How can one person make me lose all sense of control?
Jungkook's hair fell loosely over her shoulder as she bent to adjust a plate, and Taehyung couldn't help but take in the delicate curve of her neck. His eyes zeroed to the red marks carving her graceful curves.
Last night's moments replayed vividly in his head: the softness of her lips, the way her breath hitched when his hands explored her, how she clung to him with an innocence that both grounded and inflamed him.
The memory was like a whisper in his mind, coaxing him into distraction even as he tried to stay focused on the call.
"Alright. I'll expect your update then," he said into the receiver, his voice calm, betraying none of the storm brewing within him.
His hand lingered on the desk, fingers tapping idly as he let out a slow breath, pulling himself back into reality.
On the other hand, Jungkook's eyes kept drifting back to him. She tried to busy herself by rearranging the breakfast tray or smoothing invisible creases on the tablecloth but her gaze always returned to Taehyung.
Her pulse quicken every time his voice deepened on the call or his brow furrowed in thought. Even while working, he exuded an effortless allure that made her chest tighten.
Jungkook bit her lip as memories from last night crept in. Her skin tingled with the ghost of his touch, her body still attuned to his. Her face heated at the thought, her fingers fumbling slightly as she adjusted a cup.
He looks so hot, Jungkook thought to herself, feeling a flutter in her chest.
I could literally get a heart attack just by watching him.
The thought made her giggle under her breath and as she continued arranging their breakfast, her imagination ran wild.
ย And then I'd be in the hospital, and the doctor would ask me, "Mrs Kim, how did you got a heart attack..."
Jungkook sighed as she imagined herself answering the doctor. "Because of my CEO husband."
She giggled again at her own mental skit, her cheeks flushing a little at the thought. She could almost picture the sceneโher in a hospital bed, Taehyung by her side, looking at her with that confident smirk of his.
Jungkook didn't realize she was staring until Taehyung looked up and caught her eyes. The moment their gazes locked, she quickly averted her eyes, biting her lip to hold back another giggle.
"Something funny, Mrs. Kim?"
Jungkook's face flushed even more. "No... nothing," she stammered, though her heart was still racing from the thoughts that had taken over her mind.
Taehyung didn't press her. Instead, he reached out and gently moved a tea cup closer to himself, all the while studying her with an amused glint in his eye.
"You're up early," he commented casually, though his tone carried that special warmth he reserved only for her.
Jungkook nodded, trying to regain her composure. "Had to get breakfast ready. We've got a busy morning ahead, right?" she said, avoiding his gaze as she slid toast next to him.
"Right," Taehyung replied, and for a moment, the room was filled only with the sound of clinking silverware.
Jungkook was busy arranging the last few items on the table, her back turned to Taehyung. She focused on making everything perfect, unaware of the smirk creeping onto his face. Taehyung leaned back in his chair, his gaze never leaving her as he watched her move, his mind filled with playful thoughts.
Without warning, his arm snaked around her waist, pulling her backward against his chest. His large hand splayed flat against her stomach as he guided her into his lap.
Ah!
Jungkook gasped, a yelp escaping her lips as she was suddenly pulled into the unexpected embrace. Instinctively, she grabbed onto his neck and shoulders for support, her body now sitting sideways on his lap. Her heart raced and her cheeks flushed a deep shade of pink as she tried to steady herself, her breath hitching.
"What theโMr Kim!" Jungkook exclaimed, eyes wide. "What are you doing?"
Taehyung smirked, clearly enjoying the flustered effect he had on her. His hand rested comfortably on her waist, and his face leaned closer to hers, his lips almost brushing against her ear.
"Just wanted to make sure you're close enough," he murmured, his voice teasing. "Can't have my talented secretary slipping away now, can I?"
Jungkook's heart thudded in her chest, and she tried to shift a little, but Taehyung's grip on her waist tightened slightly, keeping her firmly in place.
"Stay," he said in a low voice, the command gentle but unmistakable.
Jungkook glanced at him, her eyes full of rebellion, but there was no escaping his arms around her. With a sigh, she relaxed into his chest, the earlier tension between them melting away.
Jungkook sniffled lightly, breaking the momentary silence between them. Her nose wrinkled slightly, and she raised her hand to rub it. "Ugh, I think I'm catching a cold," she muttered, her voice slightly nasally.
Taehyung's smirk only grew. "And why would that be?" he teased, already knowing the answer.
Jungkook glared at Taehyung, her cheeks still tinted with the remnants of their earlier passion. She sniffled lightly, crossing her arms as she perched on his lap.
"Don't act innocent, Mr. Kim. This is all your fault," Jungkook accused, her tone sharp but lacking true venom. "It's because of you and your stupid little 'water show' last night! Remember?!"
Taehyung tilted his head, pretending to think, but the mischief in his eyes gave him away.
"My fault? To be fair, you did look like you needed a cooldown. You were mad right, so I thought to cool you down," he quipped, his tone teasing.
Jungkook gasped, swatting his chest lightly. "For cooling me down, You turned the shower onโwhile I was still standing there, mind you! Who does that?!"
"Now I'm reduced to sniffling like some tragic damsel because of your stupid ideas!"
Taehyung caught her wrists mid-swat, his grip gentle but firm as he leaned in closer, his lips hovering just over her ear. "Don't blame me for your weak immune system, Mrs. Kim," he murmured, his voice laced with amusement.
Jungkook gasped, her cheeks flushing as she struggled to free her hands, glaring at him. "Weak immune system? Oh, you are just begging for trouble now, aren't you?"
"Maybe," he admitted, his grin wicked. "But you look pretty even when you're angry, so I think I'll survive."
Jungkook groaned again, though her lips twitched as if fighting back a smile. "You're lucky I'm too sick to deal with you right now," she muttered, leaning back slightly to cross her arms dramatically, though she didn't move from his lap.
Taehyung's smirk widened as he leaned in, his nose brushing against hers. "Seems like this 'water romance' only looks good in fictional worlds," he murmured, his tone dripping with amusement.
Jungkook's cheeks flushed a deep red as she looked away, feeling embarrassed. She had always been a sucker for romance novels and Taehyung's teasing hit a little too close to home.
"You know, I never expected my life to start resembling one of those cheesy love stories," Jungkook muttered, her voice soft, and she fidgeted with the sleeve of his coat to avoid his gaze.
Taehyung's smirk deepened, clearly enjoying her flustered reaction. "Well, maybe you should've seen this coming," he teased, his breath warm against her ear as he leaned in closer, his lips brushing the side of her face.
"I'm the leading man in your story, after all."
Jungkook's heart raced as her mind went back to all the romance novels she'd read, where the hero was always so bold and charming. She could feel her pulse quicken.
"I never thought you would be the one to make it all come true," she muttered, her tone playful but with a hint of disbelief.
Taehyung resting his hand gently on her waist, his fingers brushing against the fabric of her blouse. "Well, now that we've crossed over into the world of romance, don't go blaming me for your fantasies." He tilted his head slightly, looking at her with soft eyes. "Though, I think I'm doing a pretty good job of living up to your imagination, don't you?"
Jungkook shifted, unable to stop herself from smiling despite her feigned annoyance.
"Oh, you're unbelievable," she huffed, pushing against his chest to get up, but Taehyung's arms tightened around her, holding her firmly in place.
"Unbelievable?" he repeated, his voice taking on a deeper, huskier edge.
"I think you mean irresistible."
"Ha! The only thing irresistible is my desire to strangle you right now," Jungkook shot back, though her voice wavered slightly as his lips brushed against her jawline.
"Mm," he hummed, completely ignoring her protests as he nuzzled her neck. "If it makes you feel better, you looked stunning with water running down your skin. Like something straight out of a fantasy."
"Stop!" Jungkook's resolve faltered as her cheeks flushed crimson. "That's not the point, Mr. Kim," she mumbled, her anger giving way to embarrassment.
He chuckled softly, pressing a lingering kiss just below her ear. "Maybe not. But admit itโyou enjoyed yourself, didn't you?"
Her lips parted to protest, but no words came out. The memory of their heated moment under the cascading water replayed vividly in her mind, and she cursed the way her body reacted to the thought.
Seeing her hesitation, Taehyung leaned back slightly, his smirk softening into something more tender. "I'm sorry for soaking you," he said, his tone quieter but still playful. "But I'm not sorry for wanting to be close to you. Even if it means catching a cold together."
Jungkook's eyes widened, and despite herself, a small smile tugged at her lips. "You're ridiculous," she muttered, her voice softening as she placed her hands on his shoulder.
Taehyung raised an eyebrow, looking pleased with himself. "Ridiculous, huh? That's a pretty strong word for someone who's sitting on my lap." He leaned in slightly, brushing his nose against hers. "Admit it, you like it."
Jungkook blinked at him, her breath catching in her throat as she tried to process his words. She couldn't help the soft blush that crept up her neck, her heart skipping a beat.
For a moment, all her complaints melted away, replaced by the warmth of his embrace and the fire in his touch. And though she'd never admit it aloud, she couldn't deny that even their chaotic water romance had its charm.
Taehyung was clearly pleased by her reaction but his attention quickly shifted back to the breakfast.
"My breakfast?" the husband asked.
Jungkook blinked, momentarily distracted from his embrace.
"Oh, right," Jungkook's mind momentarily going blank as she turned her head toward the breakfast she had prepared. "Here โ"
But before Jungkook could finish, Taehyung leaned in.
His lips brushed against hers, gently at first and then deepened instantly. Jungkook's breath caught in her throat. Her body stiffened for a brief moment, surprised by his sudden move, but then she melted into him like ice under the hot sun, her heart racing wildly against her chest. She found herself gripping his shirt, as if grounding herself to the moment.
The sensation of his lips against hers sent a shiver of warmth all over her body. It was familiar and comforting, yet it always felt like the first time. His kiss was demanding, but not hurried, and Jungkook felt herself giving in completely, her lips responding to his as if they were made for each other.
When he finally pulled away, it felt like a gentle tug at her soul. Jungkook gasped for air, her chest rising and falling with the rhythm of her racing heartbeat. Taehyung's eyes were dark, that playful glint making his gaze all the more intense. He studied her face with a soft smile, his thumb grazing her flushed cheek.
Jungkook blinked rapidly, trying to steady her breathing, still reeling from the kiss. Her lips tingled with the warmth of his, and her cheeks were flushed a deeper shade of red than she cared to admit. She quickly looked away, unable to meet his eyes, her hands nervously smoothing over her clothes, trying to hide the rush of emotions flooding through her.
"Now," Taehyung said, his voice low and rich, the impishness never leaving his tone. He shifted in his chair, his gaze flickering back to the breakfast she had made.
"I'm really hungry," he teased, his words sending a small shiver through her, though his eyes never strayed from her face.
Jungkook felt her heart flutter in her chest, her stomach doing a little flip at the attention. It was almost too much to handle. She glanced at him briefly, trying to process his words, but she found herself lost in the deep intensity of his gaze.
Taehyung was looking at her like she was the only thing that mattered and it made her feel exposed in the most electrifying way.
Taehyung's eyes held her captive and Jungkook couldn't look away.
"Feed Me," he said, his voice now a little quieter, more intimate.
Jungkook's breath hitched at the request, her heart skipping a beat as she processed the words. For a second, she wasn't sure if he was teasing or if he was serious but the look in his eyes left no room for doubt.
The wife felt her cheeks flush even more, if that was even possible, but she wasn't sure she could pull away now.
Not when they were this close!
Definitely not when Jungkook's body was pressed close to his. One of her arms was looped loosely around his neck for support, her fingers brushing against the collar of his perfectly tailored shirt. Her other hand trembled slightly as she picked up a piece of apple from the plate.
Taehyung's hand rested firmly on her waist, his long fingers splayed across her side as though staking his claim. His other hand pressed flat against her stomach, the warmth of his palm seeping through the thin fabric of her blouse.
Every movement drawing her closer into his orbit.
Jungkook's pulse was erratic and it took all of her focus to not let her hands shake as she leaned in, offering the fruit to him. Her heart pounded in her chest as she looked into his eyes, trying to read his expression.
Was he teasing her? Or was he being serious?
Her gaze flitted nervously between the fruit and his face, unable to maintain eye contact for long under his dark, smouldering eyes. Taehyung's fingers resting on her stomach shifted and he intertwined his hands, keeping them firmly on his wife's waist.
At last, Jungkook couldn't meet his gaze, her eyes dropped on the apple piece as she offered it to him. Taehyung leaned in, closing the small distance between them. His lips brushed slightly against her fingertips as he took the piece of fruit, the light contact making her breath hitch audibly.
Her arm tightened instinctively around his neck, her fingers gripping the soft strands of his hair as she felt his lips linger for a moment too long against her fingers. He pulled back just enough to meet her gaze, his dark eyes holding hers captive.
"You taste as sweet as this fruit," he said in a low, teasing voice, his thumb still moving in hypnotic circles over her stomach.
"M-Mr Kim," Jungkook stammered, her hand retreating quickly to rest against his shoulder.
Taehyung was clearly enjoying the moment, relishing not only the food but the way Jungkook was trembling just slightly under his gaze.
Jungkook quickly looked down at the plate, her fingers brushing against the food as she picked up the toast. Her hands were a little less steady now, but she managed to lift the small bite to his lips. Her heart was still racing, and she couldn't quite focus.
Taehyung's eyes flickered between her and the breakfast, a smile lingering on his lips. He seemed content, relaxed even, but there was also something else behind his eyesโa quiet intensity that had nothing to do with the food. Jungkook felt the heat rising in her chest once more as she fed him, her movements almost automatic now, as if they were part of a silent rhythm they had perfected without even realizing it.
But then, just as the moment seemed to settle, Taehyung's phone rang, pulling him back into the present. His expression shifted from devilish to professional in an instant, though there was still a lingering softness in his eyes as he looked at Jungkook.
"Excuse me," he murmured, reaching for the phone with one hand, his other still resting on his wife's waist. "I need to take this call."
Jungkook nodded quickly, trying to adjust to the sudden shift. She quickly picked up another toast and fed it to him, trying to keep things normal. Taehyung answered the phone with a professional tone, his voice changing as he greeted the person on the other line, but Jungkook still kept feeding him, as if nothing had changed.
Taehyung continued to speak on the phone, occasionally giving Jungkook a glance, his lips twitching into a small smile as she fed him. She tried to act casual but her heart still fluttered each time their eyes met.
Taehyung wrapped up one call and prepared for another, Jungkook silently continued to arrange the breakfast. Taehyung's gaze flicked to Jungkook between sentences, noting her quiet behaviour.
Without breaking the tempo of his conversation, he picked up a piece of fruit with his fork and held it toward her.
Jungkook blinked, caught off guard by the gesture. She shook her head slightly, her lips forming a shy refusal. But Taehyung's expression remained firm, his eyebrows raising as if to say,
Don't make me halt this call to convince you.
Reluctantly, Jungkook leaned forward, her cheeks warming as she opened her mouth to take the bite. Taehyung's eyes softened, and a ghostly smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as she chewed quietly, avoiding his gaze.
"Good," he murmured softly, his tone so low that it felt like a secret shared just between them. Then, seamlessly, he returned his attention to the conversation, his voice transitioning back to its professional tempo.
Jungkook sat back, her heart fluttering at the unexpected tenderness. But before she could fully process it, Taehyung was already reaching for another bite. This time, it was scrambled eggs and brought it to her lips, not even pausing in his speech as he fed her.
"Thank you for confirming those numbers," Taehyung said into the phone, his voice steady, even as his focus briefly shifted to Jungkook. He gave her an expectant look, silently encouraging her to take the next bite.
Sighing in defeat, Jungkook took the bite, her lips brushing against the edge of the fork as her cheeks flushed.
"Perfect," Taehyung said, his voice dropping slightly. For a moment, Jungkook wasn't sure if he was referring to her or the call.
When he had a brief pause during the call, he glanced at her again, this time holding a small piece of toast. Jungkook narrowed her eyes playfully but leaned in to accept it.
Taehyung's gaze remained focused on the conversation, his brow furrowing slightly as he listened to the updates on the conference call. Jungkook's movements slowed just a little, but she didn't stop, continuing to feed him small bites of breakfast as he worked.
Her eyes wandered to him for a moment as she placed another piece of food in his mouth. Jungkook couldn't help but admire the way he seamlessly transitioned from playful husband to the professional CEO, balancing both sides of himself.
It was both impressive and captivating.
Finally, as the call came to an end, Taehyung set the phone down with a sigh of relief, his focus shifting back to her.
"You don't have to keep feeding me," he said, his voice low but teasing. "I can handle it."
Jungkook looked up at him, blinking a little, her cheeks flushed from the proximity. "I know," she said quickly, though there was a shy hesitation in her voice. "But I want to. Besides... it's the least I can do before the conference starts."
Taehyung raised an eyebrow at her, intrigued.
"The conference, huh? Your job, right?" he teased, his voice laced with a smirk. "Don't go getting distracted, Mrs. Kim. You know I rely on you to keep everything running smoothly."
Jungkook chuckled softly before making a morsel and forwarding it to him. "I won't get distracted, Mr. Kim," she replied, her tone playful but full of affection. "I'm your secretary, remember?"
"Ah yes," Taehyung said, leaning back in his chair and savoring another bite of breakfast. "You take care of everything, don't you?" He paused, a teasing glint in his eyes. "And you do it so well. But today, make sure to be ready for the conference. It's going to be a long one. Those clients are particular."
Jungkook nodded, adjusting the tray of food so everything was within reach, before serving herself a small portion of fruit. She glanced at him, her gaze flicking from his perfectly styled hair to his focused expression as he scanned the documents. He looked so commanding, so polished, and yet, here she was, feeding him breakfast like it was the most natural thing in the world.
"Don't worry, Mr. Kim," she said with a hint of a smile, her voice steady now. "I've got it all under control."
Taehyung's eyes flickered to her, a soft smile forming on his lips. "I know you do," he said, his tone filled with admiration.
Jungkook looked at the breakfast tray and found it was finished. She thought to clean up and prepare for the meeting. With this thought Jungkook tried to stand up.
But Taehyung held her firm, not letting her escape so easily. "I'm not finished with you yet," he said, his voice dripping with teasing intent.
"My wife made all this for me. I think I deserve a little more than just breakfast."
Jungkook paused and looked up at him, her cheeks flushed. She had been trying to keep things light, focusing on the conference that was about to start, but Taehyung's presence was undeniable.
Jungkook swallowed, her fingers tightening slightly around the edges of the tray as she tried to gather her thoughts.
"Mr Kim, we... we can't," she whispered, her words soft but full of hesitation. "The call..."
"It can wait," he said, his tone filled with quiet authority. "Besides, I think you owe me a little more attention after all the effort you put into breakfast."
Jungkook swallowed again, her pulse still racing. She knew he was rightโthere was no escaping the way he made her feel, how his touch seemed to consume her every thought.
So the wife gave in.
Jungkook leaned in, her lips meeting his in a brief, tender kiss before pulling back just enough to meet his eyes again.
Taehyung wasn't one to let go of what he wanted.
From the moment his eyes landed on her, Taehyung felt his control slip. Jungkook had been trying to escape, her soft protests carrying the defiance that only made her more irresistible to him. The sight of her flushed cheeks, the way her lips parted in surpriseโit was all too much.
Without thinking, he reached out, his hand curling around her delicate wrist and tugged her back toward him. Her gasp sent satisfaction surging through him, his instincts taking over.
He wanted her closerโneeded her closer.
When Taehyung cupped jungkook's face, his thumb brushing over her soft skin, he saw the surprise flicker in her wide, doe-like eyes. It made his chest tighten. His wife looked so beautiful, so innocent and yet he could see the storm of emotions behind her gaze.
Without giving her a chance to react, he tilted her head slightly and captured her lips in a kiss that held nothing back.
The moment their lips met, Taehyung felt like he had crossed into a world where nothing else mattered. Jungkook tasted of sweetness, of the fruit she had and something uniquely her.
It was intoxicating and he couldn't stop himself from taking more.
His free hand moved instinctively to her waist, his fingers splaying against her, pulling her even closer until there was no space left between them. Her soft body against his, the way she trembled slightly in his holdโit was a feeling he wanted to drown in.
Jungkook's hesitation lasted only a moment before he felt her melt into him, her hands clutching at his shirt, grounding herself against the overwhelming force of the kiss.
It fueled his desire, deepening his need.
He kissed her with urgency, pouring into the moment every bit of longing and affection he held for her.
The taste of her, the softness of her lips moving against his, and the breathy sounds Jungkook made-it all consumed him. His heart pounded in his chest as he claimed her in a way that felt unrestrained, yet filled with a raw tenderness that only she could bring out in him.
When he finally pulled back, their breaths mingled, and his chest rose and fell as if he had run miles. His lips tingled from the intensity, swollen from the wildness of their kiss. He opened his eyes slowly, meeting hers, which were wide and dazed, her cheeks a deep crimson.
The sight of her in that momentโher breath uneven, her lips parted and red, her body still pressed against hisโmade his grip tighten just slightly on her waist.
Satisfaction coursed through him, but so did impatience
The memory of last night had been consuming Taehyung all morning.
The way her body had moved against his, how her soft breaths had fanned against his skin, the way her eyes had locked with his, filled with a vulnerability and sassiness that made his chest tighten-it all came flooding back as he held her now, so close yet never close enough.
Taehyung's grip on her waist firmed slightly, his thumb tracing slow circles against her soft skin. He took a deep breath, his gaze dropping to her parted lips, swollen and tempting, then back to her wide eyes that held curiosity and nervousness.
He knew he had jungkook's attention, completely and utterly.
He leaned in, their foreheads almost brushing, his voice low and rough when he finally broke the silence.
"Last night..." His words hung heavy in the air, thick with raw intensity. "It wasn't just about what we did. It was the way you made me feel, Mrs Kim."
His hand slid down her arm, his fingers brushing against her skin like he was memorizing every inch of her. He settled his palm back on her waist, his touch searing through the thin fabric of her dress.
"You don't just let me touch you. You consume me. You pull me into you like there's no world outside of us. I didn't even know I could feel this way, not until you."
Jungkook's breath hitched and he felt itโthe way her body tensed slightly, her chest rising and falling against his as his words sunk in. Her lips trembled and her gaze flickered between his eyes and his lips, as if she wasn't sure what to say, what to do.
But he didn't need her words right now; he needed her to know.
"You always surprise me," he said, his tone deepening as his hand traveled up her side, his fingers brushing her jaw. "You challenge me in ways no one else ever has. You break down walls I didn't even know I had. Damn it, Mrs Kim you make me want things I didn't think were possible."
Her eyes widened, her cheeks flushing a beautiful shade of pink and he felt her small hands curl against his chest, gripping the fabric of his shirt like she was holding on for stability.
He smirked faintly, but his voice stayed low, his words coming out rough and powerful. "You think this is just about last night? It's not. It's about you. It's always been about you."
Jungkook's lips parted, her breath coming in shallow puffs, her fingers trembling slightly as they moved to clutch at the back of his neck.
She whispered his name, "Mr Kim..." barely audible, like a prayer.
But it was all he needed to hear.
"I need you," he murmured, his forehead pressing against hers, his hand now cradling the nape of her neck. "Not just for moments like this, though they're everything I want. I need you when it's quiet when it's just usโno deceptions, no titles, no expectations. I need you because when I'm with you, I feel alive. You make me feel alive, Jungkook."
Her nails digging lightly into his shoulders as she stared up at him, her wide eyes shimmering with emotion. He felt her body press closer, as if she were trying to melt into him, and it drove him madโthe way she surrendered to him so effortlessly, so completely.
His voice dropped to a whisper, rough and fervent, barely audible over the pounding in his ears. "Every touch, every kiss... You make me feel like I belong to you. And I don't ever want to escape that. You've ruined me, Jungkook, in the best way. I want all of youโevery damn part of you."
Her breath hitched, and he watched as her eyes softened, her lips trembling with her own emotions. Her hands slid to his jaw, her touch featherlight, her fingers brushing the edges of his face as she pulled him closer. Her whisper was shaky, almost breaking, as she replied, "You have me. All of me. You always have."
His heart thundered at her confession, his control slipping even further. Taehyung didn't hesitate. He claimed her lips again, this time slower. His hands roamed her back, holding her tightly as if letting her go wasn't an option. She met him with the same intensity, her fingers tangling in his hair, pulling him impossibly closer.
His words were like a flame, igniting the room. Jungkook melted into him, her heart racing, her body fully surrendering to the passion he was offering. She didn't need to say anything more.
The connection between them was enough.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Taehyung pulled away, his breath heavy, but a satisfied grin tugging at his lips. He rested his forehead against hers, both of them struggling to catch their breath.
"Now," he murmured, "we can start our day."
