Jungkook and Taehyung entered the Kim conglomerates, and the familiar surroundings took on a new dimension. The click-clack of their footsteps echoed in the hallway, drawing attention from employees who exchanged glances, curiosity evident in their eyes.
Colleagues stole glances, some offering polite smiles, while others seemed absorbed in their work, deliberately avoiding acknowledgement.
Lost in the sea of faces, Jungkook failed to notice when Taehyung stopped abruptly. Engrossed in observing the employees, she accidentally collided with his back.
"Owie,"
A yelp escaped her lips as she stumbled slightly, her doe eyes widening in embarrassment. A pout was formed on her lips as she rubbed her forehead.
Taehyung turned around and looked at the person who was busy with herself, " Be careful. Walk Beside me, not behind,"
Jungkook who was still recovering from the embarrassment, met his eye and nodded.
She took a few steps forward and walked beside Taehyung as they made their way through the office.
The door to Taehyung's office swung open and Jungkook stepped inside, the familiar space feeling different now. The office had always been a place of professionalismโa world where Taehyung ruled with authority and she had once been his efficient secretary.
But today, everything has changed.
Jungkook wasn't just his secretary anymore; she was his wife. They were no longer just boss and employees; now, they were husband and wife. The change was deep, transforming the way they saw each other.
They weren't just bound by work anymore; now they were tied by something far more personal, something neither of them could easily ignore.
Time skip
Jungkook stepped into the cafeteria to grab a hot coffee for herself. As soon as the younger entered, she felt the atmosphere shift.
All eyes turned toward her and the room quieted down as if someone had pressed a mute button. The clatter of cutlery against plates stopped and was replaced by silence.
Jungkook stood there stunned, her bambi eyes moving everywhere and she flinched when every individual present stood up.
"Good afternoon, Mrs. Kim," they chimed in unison, A synchronized greeting echoed through the room. a display of respect that left Jungkook dazed.
Jungkook stood frozen for a moment, her eyes widened in surprise as the cafeteria echoed with warm greetings. A subtle blush painted her cheeks and confusion danced in her eyes. She exchanged glances with those around her, searching for an explanation in their smiling faces. The unexpected honour left her shocked.
The younger delicately brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. Her eyes held shyness that only added to her adorable presence. She ducked her head down and walked inside. Her red lips were being nibbled by the teeth due to nervousness.
As Jungkook went further into the cafeteria, the individuals she passed greeted her with politeness. The glances she received held curiosity and jealousy, emphasizing her new title.
Jungkook felt relief as Miss Clara approached with a warm smile.
"Jungkook, dear! How are you finding everything?" she asked, her tone was welcoming and different from the forced greetings.
Jungkook shared a brief smile with Miss Clara, "Good,"
"So, Mrs Kim, huh? Someone was saving herself from CEO Kim? Did he drop you home or burden you with more work? How was your wedding ceremony? I was only able to see the reception highlights. How did you both get married? It's surprising," Clara asked as they settled on the table.
"It was surprising for me as well. Maybe fate? Who knows?" jungkook answered while sipping the hot coffee.
Fate had indeed played a strange hand in her life and even now, she wasn't quite sure how everything had fallen into place so quickly. But here she was, walking down this unexpected path.

The office door creaked open and Jungkook stepped in to find Taehyung standing by his desk, hands busy with papers. She furrowed her brow, concern etching lines on her face.
"Mr. Kim, are you going somewhere?" Jungkook asked, her voice filled with inquiry, as she saw the elder busy loading the documents in his bag.
Taehyung continued folding documents without looking up. "I'm going to the construction site," he replied shortly.
"Why? Is something wrong?" Jungkook stepped closer, her eyes staring at his face.
"There are some issues that need my attention," Taehyung explained, still not meeting her gaze.
Jungkook observed the elder, her confusion deepening as he headed toward the door. Just as he reached it, he stopped and turned around, catching her off guard.
"Why aren't you coming?" Taehyung asked, a hint of impatience in his voice.
Caught off guard, Jungkook stammered, "Do I... do I need to come?"
Taehyung raised an eyebrow, his expression unreadable. "Of course. Aren't you still my secretary?"
Jungkook asked surprisingly, "Really? Now also? Am I still your secretary after we said 'I do'? "
Taehyung clicked his tongue at the stupid question.
Nevertheless, he replied, "Yes. We got married that doesn't mean that you are fired or resigned from here. Moreover, I might need your 'secretary skills' at the business."
"Oh! That's what my talent is.
You know, you are lucky that I chose to apply to your company. Be ready to see your company in 1st position in the business world," Jungkook flipped her hair sassily and moved ahead to walk out of the office.
"Isn't Kim Conglomerates already in the first position?" Taehyung asked as he moved towards jungkook, amused by the younger's confidence.
Jungkook halted, her eyes closed to save herself from embarrassment as she stammered, "Oh really! Well, yes, but there's always room for improvement. With my skills, we'll be unbeatable."
"Then I look forward to the unstoppable rise of our company, all thanks to your secretary skills, of course. But for now, construction site, yeah," Taehyung moved his hand towards the door signalling the younger to move further.
Jungkook huffed loudly and stomped her feet before heading out of the room. Taehyung shook his head as he watched jungkook go away and follow her.
The construction site was sprawled before them, acquiring a vast piece of land. Taehyung and Jungkook stepped out of the car, the air was filled with the sound of machinery and the workers.
Taehyung moved and surveyed the site with a critical eye, his expression focused. Jungkook looked around, taking in the organized chaos of the construction site. Taehyung nodded to himself and led her toward the heart of the activity.
they approached a group of engineers discussing plans, one of them, a senior engineer, greeted the CEO Kim, "Mr. Kim, good to see you. Ready to review the progress?"
Tae nodded and pointed toward the younger,ย "Absolutely. This is Kim Jungkook, my wife as well as my secretary. She'll be joining us today."
Jungkook's heart skipped a beat and felt her cheeks getting warm when Taehyung introduced her as 'Kim Jungkook and his wife'.
The engineer extended a hand to Jungkook, "Nice to meet you. We've heard a lot about your efficiency, Mrs Jungkook."
Jungkook shook the hand and smiled, "Thank you. Excited to be here."
They walked through the site, Taehyung explaining the difficulties of the project while the wife observed, absorbing the details of Taehyung's professional world.
At a point, Taehyung turned to Jungkook, "What do you think?"
Jungkook who was impressed by the scale of the operation, replied, "It's remarkable."
The team of engineers gathered for a meeting, their attention turning towards Jungkook. The senior engineer turned to her, "Mrs. Jungkook, we've heard about your efficiency. Do you have any suggestions or insights that could contribute to the project?"
Jungkook nodded, "Certainly. How about implementing a more streamlined communication system between different teams and departments? It might improve efficiency and ensure that everyone is on the same page."
Taehyung looked at his wife with pride, appreciating her ability to contribute beyond her role as a secretary.
The senior engineer considered her suggestion, "That's a good point. We'll discuss it further in our planning meeting. Thank you,"
As the meeting progressed, Jungkook found herself engaged in discussions about project timelines, resource allocation and potential improvements. Taehyung watched with admiration for her insights, recognizing her role in the company.
The engineers wrapped up their meeting, leaving the couple with a moment to absorb the surroundings. Jungkook tucked a strand of her hair behind her, feeling a bit out of place amidst the machinery and blueprints. Taehyung observed her with curiosity.
"What happened?" He asked, breaking the silence.
"Um, do you think... my suggestions were helpful back there?"
Taehyung who was still focused on the charts and blueprints nodded, "Yes, they were. Your perspective brought a new angle to the discussion."
Hearing her husband's words, the wife smiled brightly, "I'm glad I could help."
The elder's blank gaze softened as he stole a glance at her. "You did well."
Jungkook fidgeted with her fingers, a habit that came up when she felt a bit nervous, "well, I'm not used to these kinds of things, you know. It's all new to me. And everyone seems so knowledgeable."
"You'll get used to it. And you don't have to be anyone you're not. Just be yourself."
Her cheeks were flushed slightly. Encouraged by his words, Jungkook nodded, "Thanks".
As they strolled through the site, Taehyung explained the project. Jungkook listened attentively.

Jungkook's eyes widened with delight as she took in the serene landscape, "Mr. Kim, look at this waterfall! It's so beautiful."
Taehyung nodded in agreement, looking at the calm and peaceful lake emerging from a small waterfall, the soft breeze fluttering the leaves and the sound of water hitting rocks.
"Seems like nature found its way even here."
They walked towards the water's edge and the construction noise faded into the background. The breeze was soft and the sunlight danced on the surface of the lake. Beautiful wildflowers growing on the periphery of the lake. Jungkook threw her sandals away and walked barefoot, feeling the moist grass beneath her feet.
The grass caressed her feet, she crouched down to touch the soft petals of the beautiful flower. At a distance, she could see a pair of butterflies fluttering their magnificent wings.
Jungkook sat on a nearby rock to dip her feet in the cool water. She hummed when she felt the cold water soothing her tired muscles.
On the other hand, Taehyung stood at a distance, he crouched down to pick up the sandals and carried them. The elder leaned back on a tree and his hands were crossed in front of his chest. He closed his eyes enjoying how the soft breeze ruffled his hair, the chirping of the birds and the sound of construction faded. And the most soothing sound to his ears was the laugh of his wife.
He opened his eyes and found Jungkook running in the shallow water, her hands were clutching the flowy fabric to prevent it from getting wet.
The husband found himself lost in his beautiful wife. Leaning against a tree, he observed her with an unreadable expression, his eyes tracing the joy reflected in her movements.
Jungkook, oblivious to Taehyung's gaze, splashed water playfully and laughed. The sun casts a warm glow on the lakeside scene. Jungkook's carefree enjoyment painted a picture that captivated Taehyung's attention.
He watched as droplets of water glistened on Jungkook's skin, the radiance of her happiness mirroring the soft hues of the setting sun.
Jungkook immersed herself in the water. The sunlit reflections sparkled in her eyes, accentuating their warm, honey-brown hue. Drops of water adorned her face like glistening jewels, catching the sunlight as she ran along the lakeside.
Her damp hair framed her face in carefree waves, very different from the usual neatness that defined her. A radiant smile adorned her lips.
Jungkook waded back to the shore, she finally noticed Taehyung's pensive gaze.
"Lost in thought?"
Taehyung snapped out of his reverie and coughed slightly, "Just enjoying the view."
"It's peaceful here," Jungkook mused, enjoying the tranquillity.
Jungkook turned to the elder with curiosity shining in her eyes, "Mr. Kim, I didn't get a chance to ask earlier. What is the project you're working on here?"
Taehyung whose gaze was fixed on the horizon, replied, "It's a hospital for the people in the countryside. I believe they deserve access to quality healthcare and this project aims to bridge that gap."
Jungkook's eyes lit up with understanding and admiration, "That's a wonderful initiative. Helping the community like this, it's truly impactful."
"I want to make a difference, even in the smallest ways. The countryside often gets overlooked, and they deserve the same level of care."
Jungkook nodded at her husband's words and looked around. The distant laughter of teenagers riding bicycles caught Jungkook's attention. She watched them with a glint of longing in her eyes, a desire to join in their activity.
However, her shy nature held her back. Despite the yearning to experience the simple joy of riding a bicycle, Jungkook hesitated to express her wish to the man standing beside her.
Taehyung looked at Jungkook and then followed her gaze to the teenagers.
"They seem to be having fun," he commented, his tone inviting.
Jungkook fidgeted, a bit unsure of how to voice her desire, a pout formed, "Yeah, it looks fun."
Taehyung picked up on her unspoken wish. Having been with her for a few weeks, he understood some of her habits for example The younger pouts whenever she doesn't get her desired thing.
"Do you want to give it a try?" he asked, offering an opening for her to express her desires.
Jungkook's cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "Well, I... um, it's okay. We can just enjoy the lake."
Taehyung understood her shyness and decided to take the initiative. "Let's do something unexpected for a change. Come, "
Taehyung led Jungkook towards the bicycles, he noticed her hesitant steps and realized that riding in her long dress might be challenging for her. Taehyung decided to take matters into his own hands.
Without a word, Taehyung shrugged off his beige blazer.
"Here, hold this," he said.
He slipped the blazer into her small hands, his gaze locking with hers.
Taehyung began to roll up the sleeves of his crisp white shirt, revealing strong forearms, the muscles flexing with each movement. Jungkook, still clutching his blazer softly, couldn't tear her eyes away. Taehyung asked one of the teenagers to lend them one of the bicycles. Behind him, Jungkook stood there watching the scene.
Jungkook watched with pleasure in her eyes. "Impressive. You know how to ride a bicycle?"
Taehyung abruptly pulled the brakes and looked at his wife. Smirking slightly, he raised one of his eyebrows and spoke out, "Of course! Why? Did you think that I always drive a Mercedes?"
"Who knows?" Jungkook shrugged her shoulder lightly. Taehyung ignored her remark and continued pedalling.
Jungkook's sparkling eyes followed Taehyung as he rode the bicycle. The sun behind him painted a silhouette that caught her attention. She admired the way he moved, a quiet fineness in each pedal.
Taehyung's reserved persona, paired with the soft glow of the light, created a moment of subtle beauty. Jungkook found herself enchanted by the simplicity of him riding the bicycle, a scene that spoke to her in a language beyond words.
After a brief test ride, Taehyung steered the bicycle back towards Jungkook. "Now it's your turn," he said, gesturing for her to take a seat.
Jungkook hesitated, glancing at her long dress. "I don't think I can ride with this dress."
Taehyung suggested a different approach, "sit at the front and I'll ride from behind. That way, your dress won't be a hindrance."
He gestured for Jungkook to sit on his bicycle facing sideways.
With the elder's guidance, Jungkook carefully positioned herself on the bicycle, sitting sideways, her dress elegantly flowing and her hands clutching the blazer in her lap. Taehyung positioned himself behind her, his feet resting on either side of hers. His arms formed a protective cage around her, creating an intimate space within the confines of the bicycle. The scent of his cologne wafted in the air.
The strands of Jungkook's hair brushed against Taehyung's face, carrying a hint of her fruity shampoo. He could feel the subtle rise and fall of her back as they moved.
Jungkook felt the wind against her face and she smiled widely. Taehyung and Jungkook glided along the lakeside path. The husband's arms formed a protective enclave around his wife, the countryside scenery passing by as they rode. Jungkook felt the comfort of Taehyung's arms around her.
"This is...unexpected. Did You do this for me because I wanted to sit on the bicycle?" Jungkook asked, slightly turning her head to look at the male sitting behind her, a curious smile on her lips.
"You are so cuteeeeeeeee, Mr Kim", the wife stretched the word 'cute' intentionally to get a reaction from her husband.
Taehyung's focus on the path ahead replied in his usual calm tone, "And you are so dumb. I just thought for some change and being in nature is refreshing."
Jungkook, a bit surprised by the response, chuckled softly. "Well, Admit it, Mister, you did this for me."
Taehyung maintaining his stoic demeanor, glanced into her captivating eyes for a second and muttered while looking away, "No, I didn't,"
"Yes, you did," Jungkook moved closer to him and whispered and then looked away to giggle loudly. She felt security while being nestled between Taehyung's strong arms.
They continued their ride in silence which was broken by Jungkook's tiny wahs and ooos.ย The wind tousled their hair as the couple embraced the carefree joy. The gentle breeze played with their hair as Jungkook closed her eyes and leaned on taehyung's chest. Taehyung's heartbeat became a melody that completed the natural sounds of the countryside.
"Enjoying the breeze?" The elder whispered breaking the silence, his voice carrying a softness.
Jungkook nodded against his chest, a contented smile on her face, "This is nice. Although you won't admit it Thank you for the ride, Mister Cute CEO"
"I found one of the members from your species lurking and hopping around in the grass. Look there,"
Jungkook looked in the direction where taehyung pointed and found a rabbit jumping around in the lush green grass. She narrowed her round eyes at Taehyung and crossed her hands on her chest huffing loudly. Loud enough for the elder man to hear.
The lakeside atmosphere embraced Taehyung and Jungkook who were unaware of the evil eyes lingering over them.
"Ugh, Taehyung is only mine. Why is he that close to jungkook?"
"We need to do something as soon as possible before their hearts begin to beat for each other."
