Rain drops were drooling down the glass on the window. While sipping her coffee she was blankly staring at the rain through the window, sitting in the usual corner of the cafe. Seven O'clock,Eight O'clock,Nine O'clock...

It's Ten in the night now and still she wasn't in an urge to leave. She has  no  idea how many cups she drank. Since it happened,she always used to come at this place to get rid of her lonely feelings. But nothing couldn't bring her shattered heart together.It's been two years but still she couldn't get over with it.

"Why Ari why? Why does it all happen to you?" She heaved a heavy sigh and took another sip of her drink. A thunder strucked lighting up the whole area.

She was thinking about it. It's the only way to go through this pain. After everything maybe this would bring peace to her world. She needs someone to keep her accompanied. Someone who can bring joy to her life. Will she ever be normal again? Is this the right thing to do?

After the accident she lost everything. Her whole world was broken to pieces. Her life partner,the love of her life was gone. Not only him, the small boy, the most valuable gift of their life, their only son decided to farewell his mother and join his father. Both of them left her in these word,all alone. Song Ari was an unfortunate woman. She witnessed the whole thing yet she couldn't do anything. It took only time of a blink to collide with the car that was driving in full speed. Those images of that day kept playing on her head.

Only if she managed to reach the other side of the road that day,None of this would happen.

Both the father and son were waiting near the car for Ari. She only had few on her shopping list to grab. The  small boy was so excited to see what she got her for his birthday. Ari wanted to keep it a secret till the time they celebrate their son's birthday. Grabbing the groceries she waited till the road was clear so she can cross the road.

Yes she did buy his favourite Lego set.

Ari's face was decorated with a delightful smile. As the small boy sees his mom he jumped in excitement. She couldn't hear him but she clearly saw the joy of the little boy.

But right then something unexpected happend. Something that changed her whole life...

The small boy managed to loose the grip of his father's hand. He started running towards his mother's figure. Within a horrific expression on his face his father tried to grab his child who was running across the road. He was able to catch him but ,before even Ari could think what's happening the white car hit the two of them.

Her bags fell on the ground. Mouth hanged open within a disbelief. They were live before a second and now both bodies are laying down in the floor covered from a pool of blood. The lifeless father and son were crawled together. The  Car was able to stop only after driving another fifty feets forward. People started screaming and gathering around the two bodies.

Her legs started trembling. Her throat went dry. The world started spinning around her head. The images Infront of her is blur. Her body collided the ground unconsciously.

She didn't even touch the piece of cake she ordered. It was supposed to be one of the happiest days of her life. But her cruel fate dragged her down to a living hell. All these two years she was suffering alone. Inside her heart felt so empty. No one could fill it. The sorrow was her only freind. After thinking about this for weeks she finally decided to take a step forward.

Even she won't do it what's the difference? At least she could try to change the situation.

Letting out a sigh she pulled her purse out. Keeping the money on the table she hanged her hand bag on her shoulder to leave. The rain is almost over. She has a big day tomorrow. It's already late.

"Good bye Miss Ari. Have a peaceful night" The familiar girl from the counter bowed at her.

She greeted her with a small smile and stepped outside. Ari streached her hands to to check if the rain is over yet. Deciding that she doesn't want shelter of an umbrella,She walked towards her apartment which was near by.

There were two reasons why she chooses this cafe to spend her time. One,it was near by her apartment so she could reach their easily. Two,it was opened till midnight. It was the home to midnight stalkers.

Removing her slightly wet jacket,She placed it in the rack. As usual the house was filled with silence. Since the accident it was always like this. Dropping her body on the sofa she grabbed her handphone to dial a number. There was only one person who was closed to her all this years. After few seconds the other end of the line answered.

"Ari, aren't you still asleep? It's almost eleven. Did you take your medicine?"A worried female voice interrogated her.

"Jisoo,Do you remember the thing I told you that day?"Ignoring her questions,Ari asked her leaning her head back on the sofa.

"About adopting a child? Come on Ari,You can't be serious about it" She exclaimed within a panick.

"I'm serious about it. I had enough of being alone all these days. I want to be happy again Jisoo. I just want to be normal again. I'm spending time like an emotionless zombie. Why aren't I allowed to live happily?" She talked fast, letting out her frustration and anger on her best friend.

They know eachother since childhood. Jisoo is the only one who knows her every secret and things she has being through. Ari lost her parents when she was in college. Jisoo was near her through her toughest years. After she got married to the nicest person in the world,She thought her her bad days were over. But it turns out that still the tragic fate is lurking behind her. Jisoo let out a heavy sigh. After few minutes of silence she finally spoke,

"Just don't forget that I always got your back. I'm coming with you. When are you planning to go there?" She finally gave up fighting back her friend. At least she should give her a chance.

"Tomorrow morning. I'll meet you at your place then" Ari talked less tensed now. Her words were calm. She already made up her mind to do this.

"No need. I'll be there by nine. I'll take a day off from work for you" Jisoo's voice answered her. A small smile crept on Ari's face.

"I will never forget what you've done for me. Thank you Jisoo" She felt like she want to hug her best friend tightly.

"Not again,How many times I've told you not to thank me huh?" She said in unpleasant voice. Ari chuckled at her statement.

"Good night Jisoo. I'll see you tomorrow" She told her before hanging up the phone.

"Good night and don't forget to take your pills. You know that I'm worried about you right?" She heard her friends worried words.

"Don't worry about me. I will take them" She chuckled and end the call.

She looked into the family photo in the wall. Three of them were smiling in the framed photo. Why didn't that happiness last long? She hoped that this will work.

Finally She's deciding to adopt an child to bring her lost joy.

So guys this is the first chapter. How was it. I hope it wasn't bad. I wanted to write more but I thought I'll break into two chapters.

Sorry if my updates are slow. I'm busy now So I can't update as fast as I updated the other ff.
