We're gonna play a call on

𝕃𝕀𝕃𝕀𝕋ℍ walked into her room, preparing to get ready for the farewell party. As she entered, her eyes caught a glimpse of an exquisite gown laid out perfectly on her bed. The gown was the epitome of gothic elegance, featuring layers of flowing black tulle adorned with intricate lace and delicate embroidery in rich shades of purple. The bodice was fitted and accented with deep purple velvet, creating a beautiful contrast against the sheer black sleeves that billowed slightly at the wrists. The skirt cascaded to the floor in a cascade of layered fabric, each layer adding to the gown's ethereal beauty. Next to the gown sat a pair of black lace-up boots, perfectly matching the ensemble.

On top of the gown lay a letter. Lilith walked up to it, her curiosity piqued, and picked up the letter. She opened it to reveal beautiful handwriting that read, "A little gift for you, my dear. The rose is from Wednesday; he asked me to save that flower as it blooms with your beauty. – M."

Lilith smiled warmly at the thoughtful gesture. She then noticed a blood-red rose nestled against the gown. She picked it up delicately and brought it to her lips, giving the petals a gentle kiss. Her heart swelled with affection and gratitude as she felt the depth of Wednesday's sentiment and the kindness of Morticia's gesture.

With a newfound excitement, Lilith began to prepare for the evening, feeling more cherished and beautiful than ever.

Wednesday stood against the wall, observing the bustling ballroom filled with guests, family members chatting or dancing, and an orchestra playing. One man was even playing a cobra like a saxophone, adding to the eccentric atmosphere of the evening. As Wednesday scanned the room, his cousin, Lumpy Addams, approached him.

"Hey, cousin. Great party, huh?" Lumpy attempted to start a conversation. Wednesday simply nodded in acknowledgment.

"You haven't changed a bit, still gloomy as ever," Lumpy smirked.

Wednesday looked at him from the corner of his eyes and replied dryly, "And you are still a pain as ever."

Lumpy laughed, but his attention was soon caught by someone across the room. "Woah," he said, his eyes widening.

Curious, Wednesday followed Lumpy's gaze and felt his breath catch in his throat. Lilith Winters had just entered the ballroom, wearing the gown his mother had gifted her. The black and purple dress fit her figure perfectly, and her hair was styled in a loose bun with a few strands framing her face. To Wednesday, she was absolutely breathtaking. "I'm going to go ask her to dance with me," Lumpy said, starting to move towards Lilith. Wednesday quickly stepped in front of him, blocking his path. "Do that, and I'll bury you alive with scarabs eating you from the inside out," he warned, his voice cold and threatening. "She is mine."

Lumpy froze, taken aback by the intensity of Wednesday's glare. Without another word, Wednesday made his way across the room to Lilith, who smiled warmly upon seeing him.

"Good evening, Wednesday, you look fantastic." Lilith greeted, her eyes shining with affection.

"Nothing can compete to your beauty tonight, ma rose," Wednesday replied, his voice softening as he reached her. He extended his hand, and she placed hers in his before he brought it to his lips and placed a gently yet loving kiss her knuckles.

"May I have this dance?" he asked, his tone more tender than usual.

Lilith nodded, her smile growing wider. "Certainly," she replied.

They walked to the dance floor, the world around them seeming to blur as they moved together. Wednesday placed his free hand on Lilith's waist, pulling her closer, while she gently rested her hand on his neck, her fingers softly rubbing his skin. They started dancing, their movements in perfect harmony with the music. Their eyes remained locked, the rest of the room fading into insignificance. In that moment, nothing else mattered but being in each other's arms. The connection between them was palpable, an unspoken bond that spoke volumes more than words ever could.

As they glided across the dance floor, it felt like they were in their own private world, a sanctuary where time stood still and only their shared heartbeat existed. The candlelight flickered, casting a warm glow over them, highlighting the intensity of their gazes and the gentle smiles playing on their lips. They danced as if no one was watching, lost in the magic of the moment, wrapped up in the undeniable chemistry that had drawn them together.

"Wednesday?" Morticia's voice cut through the music as she approached the dancing pair.

"Yes, Mother?" Wednesday replied, his eyes never leaving Lilith's.

Morticia smiled at their closeness before speaking, "Would you run upstairs and check on your uncle, please?" Wednesday nodded, gently grabbing Lilith's hand. They walked off together, leaving Morticia smiling proudly after them. Ascending the grand staircase, their footsteps echoed softly against the marble. When they reached Fester's door, Wednesday knocked firmly, "Uncle Fester?" The door creaked open, and muffled voices drifted from the bathroom. "I understand," Fester's voice carried through the space. Greta's sharp tone followed, "I hope so. And I'm counting on you. Don't let me down. Don't buckle."

"It's not gonna be easy. There are people everywhere and Lilith is with Wednesday."

"You can do it if you just stop whining. Nobody likes that. It's unattractive. And I told you to keep Wednesday and that pest separated. We will get rid of her soon."

"Alright. Fine. I will try and reach the vault tonight and... and get rid of Lilith. But if I can't, well, then that's it. Okay, Mother?" Fester spoke, his voice tinged with resignation. Wednesday stepped further into the room, his suspicions confirmed as he saw Mrs. Craven shaving Fester's head. "I knew it. You are a fake."

Lilith, standing beside him, looked hurt and shocked. "You were going to get rid of me?" She looked at Mrs. Craven, her supposed aunt, who slowly approached them.

"Come here, my little ones," Mrs. Craven crooned, reaching out to them.

Wednesday, sensing danger, grabbed Lilith's hand. "Run!" he shouted, and they bolted out of the room.

"Wednesday!" Fester called after them, his voice a mix of regret and frustration.

"Get them!" Mrs. Craven ordered.

Wednesday and Lilith dashed through the dimly lit halls, their footsteps echoing in the silence. They made it to Wednesday's room and locked the door just in time as Fester tried to reach them. Wednesday quickly helped Lilith down to the trapdoor, following closely after her. Fester kicked the door in just as they disappeared, the sound of splintering wood reverberating through the room. Lilith and Wednesday slid down the hidden passage and emerged outside through a flap at the side of the house. Without pausing, they sprinted through the dark cemetery, the chilling night air whipping around them.

Wednesday led her with determined urgency, pulling her toward a specific direction. They arrived at an old, imposing crypt and slipped inside, the heavy door closing behind them with a loud thud. Safe for the moment, they caught their breath, their hearts pounding from the adrenaline.

Lilith breathed heavily, trying to catch her breath, before she was suddenly pinned to the wall by an angry Wednesday. "The truth. Now. Who is that woman? Were you in the plan the whole time?!"

Lilith looked at him, shocked, and shook her head. "No!"

Wednesday shouted at her, "Don't lie to me!" However, his expression softened slightly as he saw her flinch. He took a deep breath and tried to speak in a calming voice, "Was it all a lie? A game to you?"

Lilith looked at him, seeing the broken look in his eyes, and spoke earnestly, "Of course not. No." She took another deep breath and continued, "She is my aunt. She took me in after what happened to my parents, and no, I didn't know the plan. I couldn't hear them as I tried to eavesdrop. However, she didn't believe me and threatened to take me away to a horrible place if I didn't stay quiet. Then... then I met your family, I met you, and I finally felt at home. A place I can be myself. Then I fell in love with you. When I am by your side, I feel safe, and I'm sorry..."

She was cut off by a pair of lips meeting hers. Wednesday pulled away and spoke softly, "I'll always protect you."

Lilith felt a rush of emotion as tears ran down her face. Wednesday wiped them away before pulling her closer and kissing her deeply, showing all his love and adoration. Wednesday held Lilith tightly, as if she might break, but he would be there to hold her together.

"Je vous aime."

"Je t'aime aussi."

I love you
