Vacation. If there was one thing Allura was never good at, it was relaxing. Yet, somehow, here she was, driving across state lines for some ‘peace and quiet’ as her friend had put it.
Welcome to Beacon Hills!
Allura sighed and pushed up her shades, her hair blowing past her from the wind entering her car. Her red tipped hand rested against the car, drumming her fingers along to the tune echoing.
The town of roughly 30,000 was quiet, the only sound being creatures stepping on twigs and munching on food.
Alluras' hand reached out, turning off the radio as she listened to the peaceful sounds. The corner of her lips quirked up as she resisted the urge to close her eyes.
Maybe she could actually relax for once.

Allura, in fact, could not relax. So much had happened in so little.
What a shithole.
Allura grimaced as she parked her car, people rushing by with bags as a bell rang in the distance. No, not people. Not yet. These were worse than people.
Teenagers.
God, she sure hoped Erica was in this dreaded school.
It wasn't long before whispers started. It almost impressed her. She had only been inside for a minute, and everyone was already gossiping. Those in front of her scrambled out of the way, unsurprisingly. She couldn't blame him. Her dark red hair and even darker outfit would seem intimidating if she was a human.
Scanning the halls, she looked for someone who wasn't staring at her like an extraterrestrial being. Her eyes landed on two girls, one with brown hair and a sad smile and another with strawberry blonde hair and a look on her face that resembled annoyance.
For a moment, she admired them from afar, not being able to deny their beauty. They definitely didn't look like some of the dweeby students in other schools.
"Allison, I love you." The strawberry blonde told the brunette.
"So if you need to do that thing where we talk about me and pretend like we're not actually talking about you, it's totally fine." Allison laughed.
"But I don't want a boyfriend. I want a distraction." The strawberry blonde continued, her eyes laying on two twins walking in.
Alluras eyebrow quirked before her lips formed a smirk. "Aiden and Ethan." They both turned to her with a look of interest and confusion. "Twins. Shorter one is gay so you've only got one option."
"And you are?" The strawberry blonde asked, seeming impressed yet snobby. Allura rolled her eyes, distaste already filling her.
"Allura, nice to meet you." She told them, holding out her hand in an informal handshake, more to Allison than the other girl.
"Allison." Allison shook her hand, eyes slightly widening. Allura smirked and watched as Allison's eyes fell prey to the inked art on her wrist that her fingerless gloves didn't cover.
"And you are?" Allura asked, repeating strawberries line to her.
"Lydia." She briefly introduced, a tight smile pulling onto her face.
"Are-are you new here? I-I don't think I've seen you around." Allison stuttered with a slight chuckle. Alluras smirk grew even more as she focused her gaze on Allison, "Yes, actually. I was looking for my classes and I was hoping a beautiful girl like you might be able to help me."
Allison opened and closed her mouth as her face flushed, a gorgeous pink tint blanketing her cheeks and the tips of her ears. Allison decided it was best to stay quiet and nodded. Allura handed her schedule to Allison as she gaped for words.
"Oh cool, we have some classes together. We're actually going there now." Allison blushed as Allura smiled, "Great!"
Allison and Allura walked away with Lydia trailing behind, her eyes piercing to Alluras red waves.

The three soon walked into class, the two redheads quickly finding an empty seat while Allison scanned the room.
She noticed the tension rise as both Allison and the boy with puppy dog eyes realized the only seat was the one in front. The boy awkwardly fitted his thumbs, looking around. Allison walked forward, seeming uncomfortable.
Allura quietly chuckled as the boy stuttered, and Allison soon sat down. The boy sitting in front of her sent him a thumbs up.
While she couldn't notice much about him, she did take note of his pale complexion and chocolate hair.
Allura looked away as her phone vibrated. Much like everyone else, she pulled it out and looked at it.
Before she could read it, a woman walked in. Her heels clicked as she held her chin high. Her brown hair fell down in waves, stopping between her shoulder blades.
"The offering was barred as black Bank of clouds and the tranquil waterway, leading to the uttermost ends of the Earth flowed somber under an overcast sky, seem to lead into the heart of an immense darkness." Allura recognized the line from a book, the heart of darkness.
"This is the last line to the first book we are going to read. It is also the last text you will receive in this class." The teacher explained.
"How the fuck did you get my number?" Allura mumbled under her breath. The boy In front of her shifted, raising a hand to cover his mouth. The corner of her lips and eyebrow twitched up at the boys amusement.
"Phones off, everyone." Allura simply put her phone on silent, finding the step to power off her phone unnecessary.
Soon enough class started and she watched as Allison passed the puppy eyed boy a note.
"Mr. McCall!" The teacher called out.
The teacher gestured for him and he quickly packed up his stuff, seeming flustered, and walked out with the teacher. Allura let out a sigh of boredom.
"Hey, Lydia." The boy with brown hair whispered.
Strawberry turned to him, a look of displeasure in her eyes. "What is that? Is that from the accident?" He asked, pointing to the bandage on Lydias ankle, concern and curiosity apparent in his voice.
Allura rested her chin on her hand as her eyes flickered between the two. She had noticed the boys heart eyes and resisted rolling her eyes.
Teen love.
"No. Prada bit me."
"Your dog?"
"No, my designer handbag." Lydia casually brushed off. Allura smirked and chuckled to herself, twirling a pen. The brown haired boy turned backward to look at her, his head whipping around.
"Wha-I, Hi. Hello-uh I'm uh..." he stuttered over his words, seeming shocked and almost lost. Allura narrowed her eyes and raised a brow, getting pleasure for seeming him panic under her intimidating gaze.
"S-stiles. That's me. I'm-im Stiles." The right side of Allura's lips curled upward. She hummed, turning back to the board, not giving him a name.
For a moment he gazed at her before blinking once, twice, three times.
"Prada, my dog." Lydia told him, the attention turning back to her. Allura rolled her eyes and bit back a comment.
"Has it ever bitten you before?"
Lydia hesitated, putting on a sad face. "Mmm-mmm."
"Okay. What if it's, like, the same thing as the deer?" Her eyes moved back over to the couple, not listening to whatever the teacher had to say.
"You know, like how animals start acting weird right before an earthquake or something?"
"Meaning what? There's gonna be an earthquake?" Lydia sassed, seeming unamused.
"Or something. Maybe it means something's coming."
Technically, "something" is right behind you.
"Something bad."
"It was a deer and a dog." Allura sighed of boredom, her head lolling back and she stared at the speckled ceiling.
"What's that thing you say about threes?"
"Once, twice-" They all jumped as a raven hit the window. Blood smeared into a trail as the bird slowly fell to the ground. Hesitantly, the teacher walked to the window.
Allura's mouth parted in shock as an army of birds floated outside. They almost seemed to be waiting.
"Well, that's not creepy at all." Allura whispered under her breath as they moved closer to the classroom.
Everyone jumped as a bird hit the window and fell to the ground, presumably dead or majorly injured. Then another, and another, until one broke through the glass. As they flew in, Allura grabbed the boy in front of her and pulled him down.
He yelped, snapped out of his unreactive stare out the window, as she grabbed his flannel and yanked him to the floor. They huddled under his desk as one of his arms wrapped around her torso, and the other covered her head, seemingly trying to protect her.
They huddled together as the teacher started to tell people to get down because they obviously needed to be told.
Dumb humans.
Allura let out a groan as the crows' claws tore into her back and ripped her jacket and made her skin bleed.
She could hear Stiles swear under his breath as more and more crows dove inside. Allura grabbed the desk beside them and pulled them close. She ignored the stinging pain that would occasionally ripple through her.
The pair didn't speak as they hid from everything, nothing but uneven breaths echoing between them. Despite the world screaming at them, everything was quiet, the only sound to them being their own heartbeats. Or his heartbeat in both of their ears.
Her breath fanned across his neck as she also covered his head. His arms pulled her tighter and wrapped around her waist, touching her cool ivory skin where her shirt had ridden up.
After who knows how long, Allura peaked up. Dead crows were scattered around the room with blood splattered everywhere.
Taking in a deep breath, Allura was the first to stand up. She took a better look around, scanning for any more animals in threat.
Seeing none, she extended her hand to Stiles. He looked at her in shock, maybe from the current events or the offering of help, before grabbing her hand. As she pulled him up, he wobbled, bumping into her.
He blushed as Allura squeezed his shaking hand in hers. With one last look, she pulled away and turned around.
She covered her mouth as she locked eyes with Lydia. She glared at Allura as Allison pulled a feather from her trashed hair.
Well… Vacation or not, this was going to be fun.

"I told you! I saw the first once burst through, and I pulled the guy, Stiles, down with me! I don't get what you can't fucking understand!" Allura raised her voice.
The officer had been questioning her for too long, not seeming to believe what she was telling him.
I swear if he says-
"Okay, let's try this again," Allura clenched her jaw and curled her hands into fists, covering her mouth with them as she tried to close her eyes and calm down.
This was the fourth time the man had asked her to start over.
"I've got it from here," A man with a star badge told the officer. Her eyes zoned in on the word sheriff across the metal.
"No, it's fine," the man lowered his voice, not knowing she would hear it anyway, "Short temper and hormonal." Allura couldn't help the way her jaw dropped and nose curled into a sneer.
"Donovan. That's enough." Something flashed across Donovan's face before the Sheriff held up a hand. Donovan closed his mouth and walked away.
"I'm not explaining myself again-"
"I'm not asking you to." The man smiled kindly at her. Her shoulders loosened slightly as she crossed her arms and used one hand to rub her temples.
"I actually wanted to thank you." The sheriff admitted.
Allura raised an eyebrow, "For what?”
"Because if you hadn't pulled my son down in time I doubt he would have moved in the first place." Alluras looked at him in interest, her mouth pulling into a half smile, half grin.
"You're Stiles' father." She asked more than stated. The Sheriff nodded and pressed his lips together. "Wow, that's a um..."
"Shocker? I know." The Sheriff chuckled. "If you ever need anything-"
"No. I'm good, thanks." Allura dismissed and glanced over his shoulder. For a moment he was silent before following her sight.
He frowned as he looked at Allison. "She'll be fine." Allura hummed but didn't look away.
"Allison. She's a strong girl." Allura turned away at the name. She rubbed her mouth instead of measuring her head, deep in thought.
As he walked away she turned her gaze back where she was looking. Green met Blue as one glared.
Allura stood and walked away, not taking a glance back.

Admittedly, breaking and entering wasn't Alluras specialty. She preferred more bloody crimes, but she needed to be here. To visit an old friend.
She heard the door jiggle as keys were slid in and the handle was twisted. The man opened the door and slipped his shoes off before
She waited until her turned on the light to speak. “You're not the most observant, are you?”
The bald man jumped before calmly turning around. He glared at her as he took her in from the spot where she lounged on his couch, shoes kicked up onto his coffee table.
"Allura.” He said more than a question.
The woman smirked as she waved the tips of her fingers at him. “Hello, Deaton.”
