Y4 .。.:*☆ The Felt Feelings
A/N ~ "Only if you knew how much I liked you..."

Early Sunday morning, Harry quickly bounced off his bed and dragged Y/N to breakfast, where Hermione and Ginny were already there, eating their porridge.
"Morning," Y/N beamed at the two girls happily.
"Morning, Y/N, morning, Harry." Hermione and Ginny greeted back.
Hermione seemed to have a quite concerned look plastered on her face.
"Hermione, we need to talk to you about something." Harry said seriously, trying not to let Ginny hear him.
"Oh, let me guess," Hermione said cooly. "You two took off on an adventure late at night without me, again."
"It's only Harry, this time." Y/N quickly said, buttering her two pieces of toast. "Hermione, why do you look so concerned?"
Hermione released her eyebrows slightly, but kept them furrowed.
"Well..." Hermione started. "I haven't seen Ron, today."
Y/N felt her stomach drop. She remembered the quick fight Harry and Ron had last night and it wasn't good.
"It's a Sunday, Hermione." Ginny said with a slight chuckle. "Ron's never up early on Sundays."
That was true, but Harry suddenly remembered- he never heard Ron return to his dormitory last night.
"I hope he's alright." Y/N said worriedly. "But he's in school. There's no way out of Hogwarts, with all the Aurors surrounding the entrances."
Harry felt slightly guilty, but continued with his breakfast silently.
He waited for Hermione to swallow her last spoon full of porridge, and for Y/N to finish her goblet of juice, before dragging the two out for a walk to discuss the first task.
Harry and Y/N told Hermione all about the dragons, and Sirius, and how he was about to tell them how to defeat a dragon.
"Did Sirius end up telling you?" Hermione asked, when they've finished their first round around the lake.
"Nope, we heard someone come, so he had to go." Harry said.
Y/N knew he didn't want to mention Ron and their little fight.
"Dragons, dragons..." Hermione closed her eyes and thought hard. "I only know the basics about dragons."
For the whole morning, the three Gryffindors walked around the lake three times, trying to find a way to defeat a dragon.
So far, their only good idea was was to distract it with a scarecrow.
"Oh dang it!" Harry exclaimed. "We can't have anything with us, when we fight the dragon- except for our wands."
"I could throw the scarecrow into the arena," Y/N said with a shrug.
But the idea was so bad, the three ended up laughing at their desperate selves.

Another horrible, crucifying, week went past. With no improvement since the day Harry found out about the dragons.
Y/N was tired of all the detentions she'd receive, and even more tired of spending all her free time in the library, trying to help Harry with the first task.
"Your eyes are horribly swollen." Hermione acknowledged, one day when she and Y/N finished their Runes class.
"Thanks, Hermione- you just inflated my ego." Y/M said darkly, rubbing her eyes.
Hermione gave her a manipulating smile and led her out of Professor Vector's classroom.
"That was our last class? Oh, thank Godric." Y/N sighed loudly, throwing her bag over her shoulder. "Where's Harry?"
"Don't tell me you two are going to go back to library," Hermione said with a grin on her face.
"Don't act so proud of the place, Hermy, we still haven't got anything." said Y/N.
"At least we're trying." Hermione said seriously. "We'll get something, in the end... ooh, hey Rolf!"
Hermione quickly straightened her posture and flattened her hair, as Rolf approached the two of them from Professor Flitwick's classroom.
Y/N rolled her eyes as her brother stood in front of them, in his Hufflepuff robes and fluffy brown hair.
"Hey, Hermione." Rolf gave Hermione a grin. "I gotta talk to you- privately."
"You can talk to us. " Y/N said with a shrug. "Hermione's a friendly gal,"
"I am a friendly gal." Hermione said brightly. Y/N crossed her arms and grinned mischievously at her brother.
"If you want to talk to me, you'll have to talk to Hermione, too-"
"That's the point!" Rolf cut Y/N, making her freeze. "I'm here to talk to Hermione, not you."
"Oh." Y/N frowned.
"Yeah, let that sink." Rolf said with an eye roll.
Hermione blushed and held onto her bag strap eagerly. Rolf turned back to her and smiled kindly.
"I heard you're smart." He explained. "I need help- and I've asked a bunch of people in my year, no one knew anything."
"Quiz me." Hermione said, with her nose in the air. Knowledge was her specialty.
"Do you know anything about... dragons? By any chance?" Rolf asked slowly, trying not to be too loud.
Then, it all clicked.
"Cedric knows?" Y/N questioned.
Rolf turned to his sister slowly with a slightly surprised expression.
"Harry knows?" He asked back.
"Yes..." Y/N said hesitantly.
"How did he find out?" Both the Scamanders asked each other at the same time.
"Never you mind!"
"None of your business!"
Hermione giggled quietly.
"So you're just out here, asking random fan girls from your sister's year how to defeat a dragon?" Y/N shot, narrowing her eyes.
"It's called being admired." Hermione snapped. "Cut the 'fan girl'."
"Well, do you have a better idea?" Rolf asked Y/N, ignoring Hermione's comment.
Y/N opened her mouth, but thought for a second and closed it.
"Are you talking about dragons?" Came a very soft and dreamy voice, causing the three of them to jump.
Y/N turned to her side to see a blonde Ravenclaw girl whom she'd seen around the castle before, but has never talked to.
She had dangling reddish earrings, and her wand was kept neatly behind her ear. She looked... unusual.
"Erm... yes?" Rolf said hesitantly. "Do you know anything about them?" He asked, getting more eager.
"Not to be rude, but who are you?" Hermione asked with a frown.
"That's being rude." Y/N muttered.
"No, it's alright." Said the blonde girl dreamily. "I'm Luna Lovegood. But I know who you are- Y/N and Rolf Scamander... and you-?"
"I'm Hermione Granger." Hermione said quickly.
"I've seen you with Harry Potter." Luna said, her yes widening slightly.
"So... about the dragons?" Y/N asked the girl.
"Yes, of course." Luna nodded seriously. "My dad wrote about them in his papers- he's the editor of The Quibbler, you see."
Rolf looked like he was about to laugh, but Y/N quickly stomped him on the foot.
"Sweet. Carry on," she said with a smile.
"Dragons are getting extinct." Luna said, her eyes growing larger. "They're illegal, only because the Minister of Magic, Cornelius Fudge, is keeping them away from everyone. He's trying to force them to tap dance, so they can entertain him-"
Rolf let out a loud snort, and Y/N had to clap her hand over her mouth to stop herself from laughing.
"I'm sorry, but that's inaccurate." Hermione said with a frown. "It's reported that there are more than 4 thousand dragons still roaming free in-"
"Oh, Hermione, you're so dull." Rolf said, trying not to laugh. "The poor creatures are being forced to tap dance."
"And Fudge is making customized shoes, for each of them." Luna continued. Y/N couldn't tell of the girl was joking or not. "That's where all our taxes are gone to-"
"BAHAHAHAHA-" Rolf burst into laughter. "HAHAHA- OH HELGA- I love this kid."
Hermione scowled and crossed her arms.
"N-nice talk, Lovegood." Y/N gave Luna a smile, trying not to let out a single laugh. "Thank you."
A single tear of laughter rolled down her cheek silently, but she quickly wiped it away.
Y/M grabbed Hermione's arm and quickly dragged her out of the corridor with the laughing Rolf and the smiling Luna.
The two reached the courtyard, and Y/N let out a long fit of laughter...

'Dear Mum,
Hey, Mum, it's been a while. I realized I haven't told you, or anyone really, about my life right now, apart from Harry, Ron and Hermione, of course. Dad's sent me a couple letters, since we left the station. Grandpa and Grandma sent me a letter, too. But I haven't heard from you at all.
Just saying, I miss you and I'm worried. I've heard about the attacks in London. I hope you and your Auror-in-training are alright. We're great here, don't worry about me. I'm having a lot fun with my mates. Please write back soon.
Love,
Niff'
"Oh dang it!" Y/N exclaimed, picking up her quill. "I accidentally signed my letter as 'Niff'."
Hermione and Ron burst into a loud fit of laughter. The people in the common room glared at their direction.
"Wait until I tell Rolf and Har- wait until I tell Rolf!" Ron said, his smile dropping slightly at the mention of Harry's name.
"Don't you bloody dare." Y/N hissed, crossing the word 'Niff' off her letter and rewriting 'Y/N'. She handed her letter to Bamboo, making the brown owl hoot happily, before taking off into the night. "Where is Harry, anyway?"
"Right there." Hermione said, jerking her head towards the entrance of their common room.
Y/N turned around to see a grinning Harry behind her- he looked extra happy than ever. He caught her eye and grinned even wider.
"Yeah, I'm off." Ron muttered, standing from his seat.
"Ron, don't-" Y/N started, but Ron already took off to Fred, George and Lee at the other side of the room. Y/N sighed and turned back to Harry. "Hey."
"Hey, hey." said Harry, ruffling Y/N's hair and sitting on an armchair next to her. Crookshanks immediately hopped onto his lap. "Look, Y/N, Hermione... I need you to help me."
"What do you think we've been trying to do?" Hermione asked weakly.
"You've got something, don't you?" Y/N furrowed her eyebrows, eying Harry's beaming face.
"Right I have." Harry said eagerly, scratching Crookshanks' ear. "I need you to teach me the Summoning Charm."
"The Summoning Charm?" Hermione frowned. "But how will that help-?" Harry grinned and pointed at Fred's broom, which was sitting by the fireplace. "OH! Oh, Harry, you're a genius!"
"I got some help," Harry said happily, and lowered his voice. "from Moody."
"I'm still not catching up." Y/N said cluelessly.
"He's going to summon his broom, isn't he?" Hermione asked, as equally eager as Harry.
"Yes." Harry replied. He looked up at Y/N, expecting an excited reaction, but she merely frowned. "What is it?" Harry shot.
"If we're going to use accio..." Y/N said slowly. "Why can't we just accio the egg? Isn't that easier?"
Her two friends fell silent. Harry's lips parted slightly, and Hermione was frowning thoughtfully.
"I think..." Hermione started, staring into the fireplace. "I think they're judging by how creative and suspenseful you are, when collecting the egg. Yes, that must be it."
"Makes sense," Y/N shrugged. Then, her face lit up excitedly. "Then- that's a great plan!"
"What I've been saying." Harry said grimly. "Can you teach me the spell, now-"
"Accio!" Y/N suddenly exclaimed, pointing her wand towards Hermione's book.
It flew right out from underneath her hands and right into Y/N's. Y/N lowered her wand and examined the book dreamily.
"Oh- neat." Hermione smiled, as Y/N threw her back her book.
"Brilliant." said Harry, an impressed grin breaking on his face.
"I've always mastered this spell." Y/N smiled. "Your turn..."

Every night for the last week, Harry and Y/N, and sometimes Hermione, would go into an empty classroom and practice the Summoning Charm.
Harry is undoubtedly quite horrible at charms, making it challenging for them.
He'd managed to summon a quill and Y/N's woollen hat across the room, but only made his Firebolt quiver in the very slightest.
"Again, Harry." Y/N said, on their third try on the Firebolt. She gripped the edge of the desk she was sitting on firmly.
"I can't do it, Niff, I just can't." Harry said, quite paranoid. "I can't-"
"Positive affirmations, Harold!" Y/N exclaimed, blocking her ears. "Positive! Attract the Firebolt! Believe in yourself!"
"This is getting spiritual." Harry muttered darkly. He sighed loudly. "I only have tonight and tomorrow morning- I can't do this."
"Just- do it." Y/N snapped, swinging her legs impatiently.
Harry sighed and pulled out his wand once again. He closed his eyes and concentrated, hard, visualising himself holding the Firebolt.
"Accio Firebolt." Harry said firmly.
The broom launched forwards, but dropped weakly back to the ground. Harry took another deep breath.
"Accio Firebolt!" He exclaimed.
Quite to Y/N's surprise, Harry's Firebolt that was placed across the room flew right through the air and into his hand.
"YES!" Y/N jumped from the desk she was sitting on and pulled Harry into a bone-crushing hug. "I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU-"
"-did it!" Harry laughed, resting his chin on Y/N's head and hugging her back just as tight. "Thanks, Y/N, really- you're always the best."
"Ron and Hermione punching the air, right now." Y/N chuckled, muffling into his chest. "You better make up with him- Ron, I mean."
"I really should." Harry said quietly. "Maybe."
"Definitely." Y/N said firmly, pulling back from the hug, but their arms were still linked. "Get some rest, now, will you? You can't fight a full-grown dragon without a good night sleep,"
"I will." Harry said with a warm smile.
He knew perfectly he wouldn't get a single minute of sleep tonight, but it was worth lying to Y/N- seeing her caring eyes locked with his.
∞ ϟ 9¾ ♔ ⚯͛ △r⃒⃘ ➵ ♆
Oh, Merlin- the task was starting in only ten minutes...
"Harry, Harry, Harry, Harry-!" Y/N rushed past all the people in the Great Hall and crashed into Harry's arms. He grunted loudly, but let her hug him until he was suffocating. "HARRY, I CAN'T-"
"Y/N, calm down." Harry chuckled, but his voice was shaking, just like hers. "I'm going to be just fine."
"That's what she's been affirming for the past class." Hermione laughed, catching up behind Y/N. "Had some lunch, Harry?"
"Yeah, I'm good." Harry replied shortly- it was far from the truth. He'd barely eaten lunch, and felt horrible- he's been able to summon his Firebolt across the room only thrice.
Y/N let go of him quickly and shuffled in her spot like a whining child.
"I'm sorry, but I don't think I'll let you do this." Y/N shook her head roughly. "But also, do it. Slay the dragon and bring back that golden goose egg-"
"Potter," Professor McGonagall came rushing towards them in her formal robes. "the champions have to go down to the grounds immediately."
"OK," Said Harry, popping one last grape into his mouth. Bad idea. He felt extremely sick and nauseous.
"Good luck, Harry," Hermione whispered, giving him a warm smile. "you'll be fine!"
"If you end up dying, I'm gonna kill you." Y/N smiled at him evilly.
"Heart-warming." Harry grinned. "See you."
Harry gave them one last wave before following Professor McGonagall out of the Great Hall, earning glares and insults from everyone around him.

"HELLO, LADIES AND MEN!" Ludo Bagman yelled into his commentating microphone. "Welcome to the first task of our one and only- Triwizard Tornament!"
The whole three schools erupted into cheers and loud claps. Y/N clapped along with Hermione and Ron.
The stadium was right between the Forbidden Forest and the Quidditch pitch. Y/N, Hermione, Ron, Fred, George, Lee and Ginny were at the very front rows, waving their Gryffindor flags and jumping excitedly.
"Please listen up!" Bagman said loudly. "For this task, we will have our four champions face the most dangerous creature of all time- dragons!"
"Gasp! What an unexpected task!" Y/N laughed, eying Hermione knowingly.
"They will each get one dragon," Bagman said excitedly "and will have to collect their golden eggs, which contain the clue for the next task! Our judges areeee- the three headmasters from the three schools, plus myself and Mr Crouch!"
"WOOHOO! GO DUMBLEDORE!" Fred and Lee cheered loudly. Dumbledore smiled at them and put up a hand modestly.
"NOW! Without any further ado..." Bagman said in a suspenseful tone. "please welcome our first champion into our lovely arena..."
More than half of the audience erupted into chaos, cheering loudly, as they saw Cedric's pale face sticking from the entrance of the arena.
But Y/N gasped loudly when a big and ugly-looking red dragon was brought into the arena by more than half a dozen wizards- the dragon was growling out flames aggressively.
"Oh, Blimey!" Ron exclaimed, his eyes growing wide. "How's he gonna survive that thing?"
"Let's welcome, our handsome champion from Hogwarts-!" Bagman said. "Cedric Diggory!"
Y/N watched as the pale-faced Cedric slowly walked into the arena, gazing up at the red dragon.
"YEAH, CED- GO CEDRIC!" Rolf cheered from a few seats to George's right.
The dragon spotted Cedric and did not hesitate to spit a ball of fire right at his direction.
Cedric also didn't hesitate to dive away to the side, missing the ball of fire only by a few feet.
"Ooh! Not a very smooth start, Mr Diggory!" Bagman hissed. "There we go- he pulled out his wand! And- and- he casts a protection charm! It won't last very long, laddie!"
Cedric's charm had blocked him from another ball of fire, but quickly burst when the second ball of fire met the shield.
The attack-and-block move went on, over and over, with Cedric trying desperately to reach the dragon's nest.
The cheers from the audience were practically deafening.
"What's he gonna do, now?" Y/N yelled through the loud screams.
"What do you think?" Hermione yelled back.
But at this moment, Cedric quickly leapt away from the dragon's breath once more and pointed his wand directly at a rock nearby.
He yelled out a curse, turning the rock into a big Golden Retriever.
"Ah, will you look at that!" Bagman yelled. "Transfiguration always does the trick- good thinking! I bet Professor McGonagall is shedding tears, right now!"
Cedric's rock-dog ran around in circles, distracting the red dragon from Cedric, himself.
As the dragon's eyes traveled to the dog, Cedric didn't hesitate to run underneath its wings and grab the big golden egg right into his arms.
Everyone erupted into loud screams of happiness, including the Gryffindors.
"AND IT'S OVER!" Bagman yelled loudly. "Well done, Mr Diggory!"
Cedric was quickly escorted out of the arena, and the dragon was quickly restrained.
One down, three to go.
Krum's turn wasn't as suspenseful and exciting as Cedric.
He walked into the arena and started attacking his navy blue dragon right away.
Unlike Cedric, he didn't hesitate to go on and hurt the dragon- he lit the dragon's eyes on fire.
"OH, MERLIN!" Bagman exclaimed. "Vicious, but smart!"
The dragon growled loudly and stumbled, destroying several of its real eggs.
"Aw, poor dragon..." Y/N muttered, staring at the broken eggs and the blinded mother dragon.
Not long after that, Krum swooped past the Dragon's wings and collected the golden egg, earning loud cheers from Durmstrang.
Then, Fleur was announced into the arena.
She looked extra pale and terrified, and was staring ahead at her dragon.
"GO, FLEUR!" Y/N screamed. "tu peux le faire, my girl!"
Fleur looked up at her and smiled weakly, before turning back to the dragon.
Ten minutes past, and she wasn't doing horrible at all.
Her spell reflexes were way quicker and sharper than Cedric or Krum's.
Not long after, she retrieved the golden egg, with the only flaw being her burnt skirt.
"YOU DID IT, FLEUR! BON TRAVAIL!" Y/N bellowed, clapping louder than anyone from her house.
Fleur smiled in relief and blew a kiss to Y/N dramatically, before disappearing from the arena, with her egg.
"Well done, Miss Delacour!" Bagman bellowed. "For our final and youngest champion, please welcome..."
"HAROLD!" Y/N yelled at the top of her lungs. Everyone from the three schools froze and turned to look at her.
They chuckled, making her blush a deep colour of red.
"Looks like someone has an admirer," Bagman chuckled into his mic. "Please welcome- our youngest champion from Hogwarts, Harry Potter!"
Half the audience clapped loudly, some, only clapping out of politeness.
Y/N, Ron, Ginny, Lee, the twins and Hermione went crazy once again, cheering, as the pale-faced Harry stepped into the arena.
His dragon was, undoubtedly a Hungarian Horntail- it was bigger and more vicious than the last three dragons.
"C'mon, Harry..." Y/N jumped in her spot, biting her bottom lip hard.
"He's going to do it, Y/N." Hermione said firmly, but she, too, was shaking nervously.
"You got this, mate." Ron said under his breath. Y/N looked over at him and smiled- she knew he was going to make up with Harry soon.
Suddenly, the Horntail growled loudly and breathed out a big ball of fire.
Harry realize he was standing frozen and quickly dove away, just like Cedric.
"Should I watch this? I'm not gonna watch." Y/N heard Neville fret, behind her. He clapped both his hands over his eyes.
"Another hide and seek game," Bagman said loudly. "let's see what Mr Potter's got!"
Harry ran across the arena and launched himself behind a Hagrid-sized rock, just as the dragon's fire breath shot at his direction.
Y/N winced, but sighed in relief when she saw Harry's head emerging from behind the rock.
His face was full of terror.
"Your wand, Harry- your wand!" Hermione bellowed, hitting the wooden rail in front of them repeatedly.
"HARRY, CONCENTRATE!" Y/N yelled through the loud groans and cheers.
Harry whipped his head around and caught her eye. Y/N mouthed 'Accio!' to him, just in time as he dived away from another ball of flames.
"Accio Firebolt!" Harry yelled, pointing his wand towards the sky.
Y/N crossed her fingers and toes, so hard, they started to get numb and sore.
Hermione was holding onto Ron's arm tightly, waiting patiently for the Firebolt.
Suddenly, the Firebolt came shooting across the sky and into the arena- Harry hopped on it perfectly.
The crowd erupted into applause.
"ARE YOU SEEING THIS, MR KRUM?" Bagman yelled excitedly. "THAT IS THE SMARTEST MOVE I'VE SEEN SO FAR!"
"YES!" Ron and Hermione bellowed, thumping their hands loudly.
Harry had the time to turn his head around and give Y/N a proud smirk.
"He is- phew." said Y/N quietly, grinning to herself.
"That could mean many things but- we'll talk about that later!" Hermione yelled at her.
Y/N rolled her eyes and fixed her eyes upon the dragon, that was now chasing dumbly after Harry on his Firebolt.
Harry was trying desperately to find a way to the dragon's nest, but it was just too risky.
"Why does he have to get the smart one?" Ron groaned. "The other dragons didn't do shit!"
"I agree, but it's too late now, isn't it?" Hermione said anxiously.
"DISTRACT IT, HARRY- DISTRACT IT!" Y/N yelled. But the crowd was too loud- no one heard her.
But Harry seemed to have the same idea. He looked around the arena from his Firebolt, scanning the place with his eyes.
"OH- the rock, Harry!" Y/N exclaimed, pointing her shaking finger at the Hagrid-sized rock.
Harry's eyes fell on her, then the rock, and he grimaced, shaking his head.
"Oh, forgot." Y/N groaned. "He's ass at charms."
But Harry didn't seem to give up on the idea.
He took a deep breath and pulled out his wand with his right hand- his other hand guiding his Firebolt around to avoid the ugly dragon.
"Mr Potter is trying to do something!" Bagman yelled.
The crowd silenced down slightly, and fixed their eyes on Harry.
"It's not going to work!" Y/N fussed, covering her eyes. "He'd never practiced the Bombarda spell before!"
Indeed, she was right. No matter how hard Harry tried to remember the charm, he just couldn't.
He pointed his wand blankly at the big rock, speechless.
"OH, FOR MERIN'S SAKE!" Y/N bellowed impatiently.
Suddenly, with no warning, the large rock exploded dramatically with a loud bang, earning screams from the audience.
Harry looked around, confused, but didn't hesitate to hurry his broom away from the distracted dragon.
Y/N's eyes widened, and she shrunk back into her seat. Did she do that?
"MR POTTER CAN PRODUCE A NON-VERBAL SPELL!" Bagman yelled. "BRAVO!Our Horntail is distracted! Mr Potter does not hesitate to go for that egg- AND- AND-"
"HE GOT IT!" Y/N yelled, jumping up and down in her spot.
Harry swerved from the dragon's nest and landed on the ground, holding up the big golden egg, with a wide grin on his face.
"Yes, Harry, WOOOO!" Fred and George chorused and turned to a big group of groaning first year students. "Cough up the galleons, all of you- we're never wrong, see!"
Ron was being danced around by Hermione, who looked as happy as ever.
Y/N was peaky, but she managed to let out another cheer without getting sick.
"I think I might throw up." She muttered to Hermione. "But hey... he definitely won this round."
∞ ϟ 9¾ ♔ ⚯͛ △r⃒⃘ ➵ ♆
The party in the Gryffindor common room was bigger than ever- not only did Fred and George sneak some food in, but almost everyone was back to liking Harry.
Y/N had gone to the bathroom to officially throw up from all the commotion- which was the worst feeling in the world (A/N ~ no, she's not preggo🙄).
But right after that, she sprinted into the common room and attacked Harry with a big hug.
Harry laughed loudly, but blushed like an idiot.
"You- you almost made me- die." She said breathlessly, pulling away from him. "You were so good!"
"Don't act like I wouldn't know," Harry said quietly, grinning cheekily. "You helped me, didn't you? That rock? I didn't do anything."
"What do you mean?" Y/N asked innocently with a grin. "No idea what you're talking about."
Harry smiled at her gratefully and was attacked by practically everyone in the common room. He still had the golden egg in his arms.
"King!" Exclaimed Paravti and Lavender.
"Yes, Harry!" The Creevey brothers cheered excitedly, flashing their cameras repeatedly.
"Knew you wouldn't die, Harry!" George cheered. He and Fred lifted Harry up by each of his legs.
"Loose a leg-" Fred grinned.
"Or an arm!" George chimed.
"Pack it in altogether-"
"-NEVER!" Y/N laughed, clapping loudly with everyone else in the room.
"Open it, Harry!" Seamus yelled, pointing at the golden egg.
There were several 'yeah's popping up from everywhere.
"Open it, Harry," Lee Jordan said excitedly, nudging the golden egg in Harry's hands.
"Alright." Harry said with a shrug. "Er- are you ready?" He asked the crowd hesitantly.
"YES." They all chorused.
Harry twisted the top of the golden egg open, and suddenly, it let out horrible cries and wails- it made everyone cover their ears immediately.
It was worse than Rolf's singing.
And that's saying something.
Harry quickly shut it sloppily and everyone let out a huge sigh.
"What was that?" Colin questioned, massaging his ears.
"It's a banshee!" Seamus exclaimed. "You'll have to fight one, Harry!"
"It sounds like someone's being tortured!" Neville cried fearfully. "You'll have to face the Cruciatus Curse!"
Poor thing.
"Whatever it is, it doesn't matter right now." Y/N said loudly, over everyone's theories. "Harry needs some rest- and he needs to make up with Ronald. So- clear up, everyone, this is going to be a hard one."
∞ ϟ 9¾ ♔ ⚯͛ △r⃒⃘ ➵ ♆
Everything was fine again. Even better, perhaps.
Ron was back- the Quartet was resurrected.
Everyone seemed to hate Harry less, which kind of made Y/N angry, given how they were all bullying him only a week ago.
Even Malfoy didn't have anything to say about the task- Harry was undoubtedly amazing.
Even better, Y/N got to talk a lot more with Fleur.
After her classes, Y/N would spend an hour or two with Fleur, learning more and more about her life.
"I don't have too many friends." Fleur said sadly, on the first day of December.
The two were sitting on two rocks by the frosty lake, holding hot chocolates in their hands.
It was starting to snow, and most people were staying inside, making the Hogwartsground quieter.
"Why's that?" Y/N shot, frowning at Fleur. "Everyone loves you."
"I don't know." Fleur chuckled weakly. "My classmates are very nice to me and they're polite and all, but no one laughs with me. No one likes hanging out with me."
"Um- I exist." Y/N said brightly, raising her hand up. "And I bet loads of people want to be friends with you, Fleur."
"You're very sweet." Fleur said with a smile, taking a sip from her hot chocolate. "But even your friends don't really talk to me."
"Oh, but they're- them." Y/N chuckled. "The three of them are complicated."
"You mean the girl? Or perhaps the drooling one? Or the boyfriend?" Fleur grinned knowingly, nudging Y/N on the shoulder.
"You could've said 'the champion', or something." Y/N muttered grimly. "Or 'the dragon slayer'. Harry has many cringe nicknames-"
"Ah, but I didn't say it was Harry." Fleur cocked an eyebrow.
Y/N froze and blushed furiously. Fleur laughed beautifully.
"It's OK, I know, everyone knows." She said in her iconic accent. "You'll work out your feelings soon."
Little did she know- Y/N has already worked it out. Harry was her one and only. And will always be.
"He's alright." She said aloud. "Nice... but awkward. And very clueless, too."
"Not necessarily a bad thing." Fleur shrugged. "I don't like him much, though. But you do- which makes him my adopted child, now."
Y/N burst into a fit of laughter.
"Merlin- you're such a good friend." She said with a chuckle.
"That's the best compliment I've received in a while." Fleur smiled, brushing some snowflakes from Y/N's head. "But trust me, Miss balcony, Harry will ask you to the Yule Ball."
A beat of silence.
"The what?" Y/N blinked.
"The Yule Ball." Fleur repeated, frowning slightly. "The ball that's happening on Christmas?"
"I didn't know that!" Y/N exclaimed, her heart racing faster.
"Yes, you'll have to find a partner." Fleur said, grinning slightly. "And... do you think Cedric Diggory will go with me?"
"Totally," Y/N said, laughing slightly at Fleur's hesitation. "Who wouldn't want to go with you?"
"Thank you, Miss balcony." Fleur smiled, slapping Y/N lightly on the cheek. "You better go with Harry."
"Haha..." Y/N laughed weakly. "You're funny..."
That's what I'm planning, Fleur. That's what I'm planning.

"What's this meeting for?" Ron asked, following Y/N, Hermione and Harry into Professor McGonagall's classroom.
"No idea." Y/N shrugged. But she definitely had an idea.
Professor McGonagall's room was cleared, with the desks pushed to the sides and about a hundred stools were placed in rows.
Y/N took a seat between Harry and George.
"The Yule Ball is approaching." Professor McGonagall announced, once everyone was seated. "It is a ball, hosted traditionally, every time there is a tournament."
The room started buzzing immediately.
"That's what my ugly robes were for!" Ron groaned.
"Shush!" Professor McGonagall hushed. "It is for pupils fourth year and above. You may invite younger students if you wish, but they may not go, alone."
A pair of fifth year girls giggled loudly from beside Y/N. They were both pointing excitedly at Harry, batting their eyelashes.
Y/N scowled and fought the urge to say something snappy at them.
"Dress robes will be worn." Professor McGonagall continued. "The ball starts at eight o' clock on Christmas, in the Great Hall. You still have time to find a partner..."
"Ooh, little Y/N will be a popular one." Fred whispered audibly to George. "I'm betting on her- ten sickles."
"I don't know if I should thank you or slap you." Y/N said weakly. She felt her heart race louder and faster.
Harry shuffled in his seat slightly.
"You will all behave nicely!" Professor McGonagall said loudly, eying Fred and George sourly. "I will be displeased if Gryffindor embarrasses the schools in anyway. Dance practice will be held on December the 10th- please attend. Meeting dismissed!"
The room burst into mutters and even squeals. Everyone looked around eagerly, eying their crushes and significant others.
Professor McGonagall quickly strode across the room towards the Quartet.
"Potter, you must have a partner." The professor said to Harry.
"W-what partner?" Harry asked nervously.
"Your partner to the ball." Said Professor McGonagall. "Each champion must open the ball with their partners. It's a tradition."
"I... er-"
"We'll make sure of that, Professor." Hermione said brightly. Ron nodded eagerly in agreement. "Harry'll have a suitable partner to the ball in no time..."
Y/N could've sworn she saw Professor McGonagall give Hermione and Ron a knowing wink, before letting the four go.

"All the good ones are starting to disappear!" Ron fussed to Harry. "They're all taken... and it's only been a week!"
"Not all the good ones," Harry said with a slight shrug.
"Oh, come off it." Ron scoffed. "We all know you want to ask Y/N. Go on, ask her- before some bloke from Durmstrang takes her."
"Not gonna happen." Harry said in a quiet whisper.
"What, the bloke taking her, or you taking her?" Ron questioned. "I swear, if you-"
"Weasley!" Professor McGonagall bellowed, causing Ron and everyone else in the Gryffindor-filled entrance hall to jump violently.
"Yes?" Ron asked, slightly horrified.
"Stand up." Professor McGonagall said firmly. "You're going to demonstrate to your fellow Gryffindors how to dance."
"B-but I don't- I don't d-dance-"
"Up!" Professor McGonagall said brightly.
Ron slowly stood up from his seat and walked to the middle of the Entrance Hall to join Professor McGonagall.
Y/N and Hermione cheered loudly from the other side of the room, as well as Fred and George, who were at Harry's side.
"Now," said Professor McGonagall. "Put your hand on my waist."
"Where?" Ron hesitated.
"My waist, Weasley, my waist." Professor McGonagall said impatiently.
Ron slowly moved his hand to the Professor's waist. Fred and George 'oooh'ed loudly.
Ron threw them a nasty look before turning awkwardly back at Professor McGonagall.
Harry saw Y/N whisper something to Hermione on the other side of the room and the two girls laughed silently.
"Music, Mr Filch." Professor McGonagall said to the old caretaker.
Filch nodded and turned on some operatic music, holding his cat, Mrs Norris, in his right arm.
"One, two, three,- one, two, three-" Professor McGonagall started to make her steps, moving forwards and backwards, following the music.
Ron followed her awkwardly, and almost fearfully.
"La la laaaa, la laaaa," Fred and George mimicked Ron's dancing teasingly, making Harry chuckle.
"Never gonna let him forget this, aren't you?" Harry asked the twins.
"Never." Fred and George replied, with evil grins.
"Now, all of you, stand up!" Professor McGonagall said, letting go of Ron after a while.
Ron sighed in relief.
Everyone stood up, some excited, some groaning along the way.
"I want you to pair up, and start practicing." Said Professor McGonagall. "Now, please!"
Y/N looked around and saw many people blushing, giving each other shy grins.
Neville coughed and stepped forwards, before asking Lilia Labell to dance. The fifth year girl chuckled adoringly and took Neville's hand.
After Neville, a lot of people started to pair up, asking each other desperately.
George stepped forwards dramatically from the boy's side and walked towards Hermione and Y/N.
"Miss Hermione Granger," he said in a deep voice. "Would you like to have the honor to be my practice dance partner?"
Hermione looked over at Y/N, who gave her an eager nod.
"Sure." Hermione said with a shrug and a small smile. "Take it away, sir."
George took Hermione's hand and joined everyone else in the middle of the small hall, as Fred and Angelina started dancing.
Y/N laughed at Ron's grim expression, as Professor McGonagall grabbed his arm and forced him into another dance.
"Hey, Y/N..." coughed a voice.
Y/N turned around blankly.
"Oh- hey, Harold." She smiled, looking up at Harry's nervous expression.
"Do you... want to dance?" He asked slowly. "It's just for now..."
"Of course," Y/N chuckled. "It's only a practice round, isn't it?"
Harry gave her a swift smile and offered her a hand. Y/N grinned at it, and accepted.
Harry steered her around to the middle of the room, right besides Neville and Lilia.
"Do you know how to... do this?" Harry asked Y/N hesitantly.
"Not going to lie, no." Y/N said with a shrug.
"Well- its OK." Harry smiled brightly, grabbing Y/N's left hand. "We could work it out together."
"Smart choice." Y/N smirked, lacing her right hand in his.
"Alright then." Harry said. He quickly straightened himself and put a hand on Y/N's waist. Y/N felt a rush of happiness crawl up her skin.
She gave him a warm smile and placed her left arm hand on his shoulder and stared into his eyes.
Harry's eyes are just so mesmerizing- they even glistened behind his glasses.
Y/N realized she was staring at him and not moving, and quickly shook her head soberly.
"You can stare for as long as you like, I don't mind." Harry shrugged and grinned down at her.
"No one's staring, don't boast." Y/N said cooly, but couldn't stop herself from blushing.
Harry started to slowly move, stepping from side to side. As anyone would've guessed, he was pretty awful at dancing.
"Uh, Harry- why are you moving like that?" Y/N asked slowly, looking down at Harry's feet.
His feet were stepping from side to side at a fast rate, as though he was holding in a wee.
Ron, who was passing by, burst into laughter at the sight of Harry's moves.
"So the floor is lava?" Ron teased, making both himself and Y/N chuckle loudly.
"You don't get to say anything, mate." Harry hissed at Ron, his face turning grumpy.
"Relax, Harold, just follow me." Y/N said, turning the side of face back to face her. "Just step forwards- no, your right foot, first! Yeah, and move to the rhythm of the music- yeah, that's right!"
The two started to move together in a flowing rhythm. It didn't look horrible. Harry was quite getting it (with Y/N whispering to him 'left' and 'right').
"I- I'm getting it, I think," Harry whispered, a smile crawling onto his face.
"You are!" Y/N said brightly. "There you go- left, followed by the right, right followed by the left- now, spin me."
"What?"
"Twirl her around, Potter." Professor McGonagall said with a smile, as she and Ron past by, again.
"I don't know how." Harry panicked.
"Just do it!" Hermione chimed in, from across the room with George.
Why was everyone eavesdropping them?
"OK... alright, er-" Harry let go of Y/N's waist, and lifted his other arm over Y/N's head, making her spin around in her spot.
Y/N chuckled lightly as he caught her right back in his hands.
"You're not bad," she said, grinning cheekily up at him.
"So aren't you," said Harry, shining his teeth back at her.
They danced for a little bit- it wasn't perfect, but it was the best minute of Y/N's life. She couldn't stop smiling at Harry's face, sinking into his arms.
The music finally ended, and they were all taught to bow politely.
Harry bowed at Y/N, earning a small sarcastic curtsy from her.
"That was alright!" Professor McGonagall said, clearly impressed with all of them. "You may all practice in your free time, and please do practice! We didn't have a head start, since the other schools usually have dance classes."
"I wish we had dance practice all the time." Lavender exhaled, as Seamus kissed her on the hand.
Same, Lavender, same. Y/N thought.
"I was horrible, sorry." Harry said grimly.
"Nah, you were pretty great." Y/N said, patting him on the arm.
"You only say that 'cause you like me a little." Harry said sarcastically, nudging Y/N on the shoulder.
Oh, Harry. Y/N thought. Only if you knew how much I liked you...
