Shawn
Hannah and I had been up all night and I have told her everything. She told me that she is giving me one more chance, but if I fuck it up this time she will never come back to me. And I totally understand her. But it won't happen this time. This time I'm gonna be a hundred percent honest and tell her everything, so I won't make the same mistake again.

I woke up with a flinch and I rubbed my fists against my eyes and sat up, resting my back against the headboard, and looked to my left to see an empty side. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. Has she left? Why though?

"Did you thought I left?" I heard a giggle and I looked up to see Hannah leaning her shoulder against the door opening, crossed arms against her chest and her ankles were crossed as well and she wore my bottom-up shirt from last night. "Yeah" I smiled and went out of bed and walked towards her.

I cupped her one cheek and looked deep into her eyes "I love you" I whispered before I kissed her softly. She just smiled at me "Breakfast is ready" she turned around and walked to the kitchen and started to put food on the plates.

"So what are we going to do now?" she asked and poured newly brewed coffee in a coffee cup and gave it to me. "What do you mean?" I looked up at her and took a sip of my coffee. "Well, I live here in London and you live on the other side of the world. We can't live in a long-distance relationship where we can't see each other so often"

She rested her folded arms on top of the counter and her legs were stretched behind her. "Yeah, you're right. But I can buy a new and bigger apartment for both of us here in London" "But what about your house in Toronto. And your company? You can't just leave it like that"

"Don't worry, I can start a new company here in London" I grabbed her hand "No Shawn, I don't accept it" she shook her head. "You have worked so hard to build up your own company in Toronto. You can't just leave it like that. You have come this far and now you are going to leave it? Your whole life is that company, Shawn"

"I know but I'm ready to take that risk. And I don't want to live in Toronto when you live here. And I know that you love London more than Toronto. So I am going to look after a bigger apartment and buy it for us"

"And I am going to call that witch. Do you still have her number?" "No, but I remember it"

I took a piece of paper and wrote down the number. "Here" I handed her the note and she walked away to the bedroom.

Hannah
"This is Gemma" "Hi Gemma it's Hannah" "Ugh, what do you want?" I could hear the irritation in her voice. "Well, I don't really know how to say this. But Shawn told me about Adam. And he hasn't seen him because you just push him away and-"

"Excuse me but what do you have to do with this? It's mine and Shawn's child. Not yours" "Well, since Shawn is the father he have the right to see his own child. But he hasn't and it has been 2 almost 3 years now. And I bet that you haven't told Adam about Shawn"

"I still don't get it why you are telling me this? You have nothing to do with this. Or do you think that you can be the mother to Adam?"

"N-no absolutely not. I'm just saying that Shawn has the right to meet his son for once. Shawn doesn't have to see him every day. But if he just can meet him for once, just a few hours. So Adam knows that his father exists. If you were in the situation Shawn is in, wouldn't you want to meet your child? Or would you just ignore it and pretend that you don't have a child? This is also very mean to Adam. That you don't let him meet his own father!"

I started to get mad at how Gemma is thinking. How in the hell can't she let Shawn meet his child.

"Of course, I would do anything to meet my child" "Exactly. Then why can't you let Shawn meet his son? That's just messed up"

"It's my child, not his! I have been the only one that has raised Adam" she cried out on the other side of the phone. "It's because you left him one week before the birth date. So don't come here and blame Shawn for this. You are the one that has done wrong here. Not Shawn. He has tried to meet him, but you just push him away. So I suggesting that Shawn get the chance to meet Adam alone someday this week. Shawn is staying here in London so I suggesting that you book a flight today" I ended the call and it wasn't until now I saw Shawn standing at the door opening with tears in his eyes.

"What if she doesn't do that?" he sobbed "Hey," I said calmly and walked up to him. "I swear to god if that which doesn't do that I'm going to call the cops and tell them everything. And then we will be in the court" I gave him a soft kiss on the lips. "We got this okay?" I stroke away from the tears from his cheek with my thumb and he just nodded.

-A few days later-

Shawn came and picked me up outside the university and drove to the airport. Today was the day when he is going to meet his son for the very first time.

"Are you nervous?" "If I am. I couldn't sleep during the night. What if he doesn't want anything to do with me? What if he will hate me?" He looked at me for a few seconds and then turned his head to the road again. "I promise you, darling, he will never think that" I kissed him on the cheek.

He placed his big hand on my thigh and gave it a gentle squeeze when he parked the car outside the airport. "I love you" he smiled and looked at me "I love you too. Common now, let's meet your son" I peaked his lips quickly before we went out of the car and walked into the airport.

I could tell that he was nervous. His legs were shaking and his hand that I hold started to get soggy. "Hey" I stepped in front of him and cupped his cheeks "It's going to be alright"

I was just going to kiss him when I heard someone clearing their throat. I turned around and Shawn looked up and we saw Gemma standing there with a brown-haired little boy in her arms.

"Hi," she said cold and let Adam down on the floor and Shawn squatted down so he was on the same level as Adam. Shawn had a big smile on his lips and tears in his eyes.

I can see that Shawn is the father of Adam. They have the same hazel brown eyes, both have brown hair and I can promise that Shawn looked exactly like Adam in his age.

Adam looked confused and then hugged Gemma's leg and looked up at her with big eyes. "Mommy, who's that?" He pointed at Shawn and Gemma squatted down in front of him and stroke his hair. "It's your dad sweetheart" he almost whispered and I could see tears in her eyes as well.

Adam turned his head towards Shawn and carefully let go off of Gemma's leg and took small steps towards Shawn. "You're my dad?"

Shawn swallowed hard and nodded "Yes, I'm your father" Adam stood now very close to Shawn and placed his small hands-on Shawn's cheeks. Inspecting his face.

I saw Shawn's eyes switching between his son's eyes. I squatted down as well beside Shawn and rested my hand on his shoulder and looked at the little man that stood in front of Shawn.

Adam then wrapped his arms around Shawn's neck and he quickly wrapped his strong arms in Adam's little body. This moment was so cute so one tear escapes my eye.

"I'll pick him up tomorrow at 3 pm," Gemma said and grabbed her suitcase "Bye sweetheart," she said to Adam but he didn't respond he was too busy to hug Shawn. "Here is his bag" she handed me his little spiderman suitcase.

I watched Gemma walk out of the airport and took a cab.

Adam then unwrapped his arms from Shawn's neck and looked at me. "Who are you?"

"I'm your dad's girlfriend Hannah" Shawn looked at me with big eyes and got a smile on his lips. We haven't talked about where we stand yet. So I guess that he got shocked that I said that I am his girlfriend.

"Adam," he said and pointed at himself and I laughed "Nice to meet you, Adam"

"So buddy, Shall we drive home to my place and you can decide whatever you want to do?" "Yey!" He clapped his hands and Shawn carried him up and rested Adam on his hips. He grabbed my hand and with his free hand and put his lips on my cheek and whispered " What would I do without you?"
