Hannah
When I opened my eyes my head hurt and I was laying in my bed. I tried to get used to the lightning in the room but it was too bright for me.

"Hannah, can you hear me?" I heard Anna's voice beside me and it sounded like she was a few meters away from me. "Mmh" I groaned "You have to drink this and eat this" I opened my eyes slightly and saw that she held a glass of water in one hand and her other hand she held a Twix-bar. I tried to sit up but everything around me spins around and I'm feeling dizzy and fell back on the bed again.

"No-no-no. You have to sit up darling" Anna said and wrapped her arms around my shoulders and helped me to sit up straight, with my back against the wall. "Here," she said and handed me the glass. "What happened?" I asked and took a big sip of the water "You fainted" a voice from the door said. I looked at the door and saw Liam leaning his shoulder against the wall with his arms crossed against his chest.

"I did?" I widened my eyes "Yes, and Liam here" Anna said and sat down beside me "Took you to your room" I raised one eyebrow at her, didn't believe her at all "Hey, I can be a good guy too you know" Liam chuckled "And when I saw him picking you up from the ground I ran up to him and followed him" Anna said placed her hand on my shoulder. I looked down at the half-empty glass in my hand and then I looked up at Liam "Thank you" he just shrugged and one of the corners of his mouth moved up. "I really have to go. The class starts at 5. But eat this now" she said and handed me the Twix-bar. I just nodded and took the chocolate from her hand and then she walked out of my room.

"You do t have to be here you know?" I almost murmured "I know. But I want to," he said and walked his way towards me and sat down beside me, and then it was silent.

"W-what happened with Jack?" I said a few minutes later "Don't worry I took care of him" I shoot him a serious glare "Don't look at me like that. I didn't beat him to death. He might break one rib or two. But then I told him to never come back or touch you again" he looked down at me and gave me a warm smile. "And after he walked away I saw you on the ground and I carried you here" I could feel him moving a little bit closer but I didn't have the energy to move aside, away from him. "W-why? Why did you help me in the first place? I could handle it by myself"

He just shook his head "I helped you because you were in trouble and because he could do horrible stuff to you. I saw him pushing you against the wall, holding your wrists in a tight grip. You literally yelled that he should've stopped but he didn't. And that shall not happen to anyone. Especially not you" he whispered the last part. He probably thought that I wouldn't hear, but I did.

"Can I see your wrists?" he asked and I shook my head 'no' "Can I just-" he said and grabbed my hands, pulling them towards him and took up my sleeves, and when I saw the big purple and dark blue bruise. I whined my eyes and quickly pulled away my hands from his grip. He looked up at me and I could see the sadness in his eyes "Hannah, this is not okay. He isn't good for you" "I know. And I broke up with him and that's why he came here to ask for another chance" he opened his mouth to say something, but before he could say a word I interrupted him "Just drop it okay. I don't want to talk about him right now"

"You not much for a listener aren't you?" He smirked and let out a chuckle "What?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion "Yeah, Anna told you to eat that Twix-bar, but you haven't even touched it yet" he pointed at the candy bar in my hand "Yeah, right" I tried to open it but my hands were too shaky. "Here let me help you," he said and tried to grab the Candybar "No I can do it by myself," I said and tried to open it, but I failed.

"Let me help you" he giggled and grabbed the Candybar and unwrapped it "Here you go," he said and handed it back to me "Thanks" I smiled at him and took a bite "Mmm, good isn't it?" He mocked "Shut up" I pushed him by his shoulder "Why are you so nice to me all of sudden?"

"Why wouldn't I?" He raised one eyebrow "You are my ex" "And just because I'm your ex doesn't mean that I shouldn't care about you and be mean to you. Am I right?" "Yeah, but you haven't been like this before. Well, you acted like this when we were together. But not since that"

"I know and I'm sorry about that. But you have always been a part of me. And I know that you kinda hate me-" "Who has said that I hate you?" He raised one eyebrow and gave me that 'Common' look. "I haven't hated you, Liam. I never have. The thing is just that I have been annoyed at you sometimes. That you have been asking me a lot of questions about things that I thought you didn't have to know or care about"

"I am sorry for that" I could see that he got hurt and I saw that he didn't fake it this time. "It's okay" I sighed and took a bit of the chocolate bar. "And I'm sorry if I have been acting like an ass around you"

"Wait, Liam Miller is actually apologizing" "Oh shut up" he smirks and pushed me playfully on my shoulder "So we are good now?" He asked with hope in his eyes "Yes, we are good now" I nodded and smiled at him. "Okay, one question about this stupid ass. What did he say to you and what happened?"

"Well, I'm gonna start from the beginning. I was at a party yesterday, I was with Alice during the party. Then I wanted to be with Jack, so I walked around his house to look after him. I didn't found him anywhere. Then I saw him making out with a girl. And when we were outside he and Shawn got into a fight. And today he came here, so I walked up to him to tell him to go away. And then he asked me for another chance and bla bla. And then he said that he knows all about my brother. Then he pushed me against the wall and a few seconds after he was on the ground"

"Wait, you mean Nick?" I nodded and I could feel tears rolling down my cheeks "H-how did he found out?" I just shrugged and more tears rolled down my cheeks and he pulled me towards him and embraced me. More tears rolled down my cheeks and his shirt got small wet spots. He rubbed my arm, trying to comfort me and I wrapped my arms around him, feeling safe in his arms.

"Eat up that chocolate now. You need it more now" he said against my forehead and wiped away my tears. "Then I can buy you a coffee" "I would love to, but I'm going to meet up with Shawn. Sorry" "No, don't be sorry. There are a lot of days when we can talk over a coffee"

I nodded and wiped off my tears and pulled away from him. "Thank you Liam" "Anytime" he smiled slightly and pushed himself up from the bed. "I'm gonna leave you alone now. See you soon" he said before he left me alone in my room.

I stood on the sidewalk at the parking lot in front of the university and waited for Shawn. He said that he had a surprise for me and that he needed to talk to me.

I wore a shirt with long sleeves because I don't want Shawn to notice my bruises on my wrists.

"Hi there," he said behind my back which made me flinch. I turned around and slapped him on his chest. "You scared me" he just laughed and placed his hands on my waist and pulled me towards him. "You look cute" he smiled "You don't look so bad yourself"

I wrapped my arms around his neck and stood on my tippy toes and kissed him softly. "You wanted to talk about something?" "Yes, but can we do it over a coffee or something like that?" "Yeah sure," I peaked his lips one more time before we intertwined our fingers and walked to the nearest coffee shop.

"So what did you wanna talk about?" I asked and siped on my coffee "Well you know that I have my own company in Toronto" I nodded "Yeah" "And you love to write. And one of my coworkers is not doing his best job. And I'm wondering if you wanna take over his job?" "What kind of job?" "Well, you are going to write articles about my business, helping me prepare for meetings and so on. So you are gonna be my assistant"

"Shawn I can't leave this. I need to finish my studies here first" "I know. But I'm gonna leave tomorrow and I need to know if you want the job or not. Otherwise, it will go to someone else. And I don't want that" "Shawn I-" I didn't finish my sentence before he interrupted me "You don't have to answer right here right now. But I need to know in two days"

I don't know what to say. I would love to work with Shawn. But I can't leave my life here in London behind me. I have almost one year left at university and I can't just leave it like that. And why didn't he tell me that he is going to leave tomorrow? If he would have told me,, I would have never kissed him. I don't know if I can live in a long-distance relationship.

"Hannah, are you okay?" Shawn asked and grabbed my wrist. I hissed in pain and pulled back my hand and I just nodded "Yeah I'm fine" I said and came back to reality "Is something wrong?" He tilted his head to the side and furrowed his eyebrows in confusion "Everything is fine"
Fuck, did he notice?

"Show me your wrist" "What?" "Show me your wrist" "No, w-why?" He didn't answer. Instead, he stood and walked over to me and grabbed my hands. I tried to tear my hands out of his but it was impossible.

He pulled up my sleeves and his eyes widened and he saw the bruises. "Who did this to you?" For some reason, I couldn't answer. I just looked down in my lap and swallowed hard. "Hannah, who did that to you?" He said with now pain in his voice. He squatted down in front of me, still holding my hands and tears rolled down my cheek. He wiped them away.

I didn't have to say anything. I could tell by his face that he knows who did this to me.

"Hey," he said calmly and pulled me in for a hug. "Shh it's okay" he whispered in my ear. "You are safe with me" he rubbed his hand on my back, trying to calm me down.

"Do you understand that? You are safe with me and you always will. And I can promise you one thing. I will never in my entire life break your heart"

So Yeah. Am I the only one who thinks that Liam was pretty cute in this chapter? Please don't let it just be me.
