Jeongguk was already gone since his coach required him to be at the field nice and early for practice. He still was unaware on the fact that Taehyung was going to be attending but Jungkook refrained from telling him purposely.

The entire group all besides Jimin and Jungkook were all unaware about Taehyung attending the game. It would be a surprise to everyone when the boy showed up with Jimin and Jungkook being okay with it.

It would be something to prepare for most certainly.

Speaking of showing up, Jungkook made sure to shoot a text to the others telling them to meet up at a small café for some breakfast before heading to the stadium where the game would take place.

It wasn't nothing too fancy and Jungkook assured them that he would pay since dinner was a mess and they kept spending money on pointless flights.

Jungkook didn't really care about spending on them, as long as they bunch wasn't jerks about it then no harm, no foul.

He made sure he had his keys, wallet, and the tickets for the game later. Jungkook pulled on a light jacket before heading out of his shared penthouse, walking to the elevator where he would be taken down to the very bottom.

He was picturing how the day would end up. Probably fights here and there, insults, tears, who knows. He was hoping that the Panthers would at least beat the opposing team just so something would make today worth wild.

Something had to go right and at this point, finding ten dollars laying on the street would be worth it.

Jungkook skipped out on narrating his entire car ride down to the café, the author agreeing that it would just be a waste of a chapter to go into detail on how the young Jeon Twin put his car into drive after buckling up.

Anyway.

The raven-haired adult parked his vehicle, leaving it running as he sat there. He started feeling nervous all of a sudden and his chest grow tight with uneasiness.

He sat there, hands resting on the stirring wheel, eyes focused on the parked car ahead of him, heart loud in his ears. Jungkook slowly lowered his head, closing his eyes as he sucked in a deep breath to fulfill his lungs.

He tried to ease himself, think of everything possibly good that could happen throughout the day but he barely could think of anything for the morning he was about to be greeted with.

Life sucked sometimes. Nothing felt right, good, or like it could become any better.

Jungkook sucked up his pity party and shut off his car finally, getting out and heading over to the small café where he already saw Hoseok and Yoongi.

They must've been the first ones because Jungkook didn't recognize anyone else there. Which was totally fine and actually preferred.

So, with that, he decided to finally enter without any further procrastination.

Hoseok was first to spot the Jeon Twin, throwing his hand up in the air with a smile growing quickly across his face. "Kook!" He called, acting as if it's been awhile since the two had seen one another.

Or maybe because no one seemed to end on good terms the last time they saw each other.

Great start, Jungkook.

"Hey, guys." Jungkook greeted back, bowing his head ever so slightly. He pulled a chair out and took a seat beside Yoongi who was sipping on a cold glass of orange juice, extra pulp. "First ones here?"

"Yeah, Seokjin and Namjoon are running late because Seokjin woke up at a god awful time." Yoongi informed, shrugging like it was nothing new.

"And Jimin?" Jungkook asked with reluctance.

Hoseok decided to answer this time. "He said he had something to do first but he'll be here in like ten minutes, possibly less."

"He told us that ten minutes ago." Yoongi added to Hoseok's sentence. "Why were you late?"

"I was late? Aren't you guys just early?" Jungkook wondered, picking up the menu and allowing his eyes to scan over it. What shall he have for 'brekkie' this fine morning? Eggs? Pancakes? Disaster?

A moment of silence was shared. "I guess, you said to meet you here at nine thirty and it's nine forty-five." Hoseok hummed, sipping from his orange juice with no pulp at all because he didn't like chewing his drink.

"Ah, well," Jungkook set the menu down after deciding to order just some eggs with a hash brown to accommodate it, a cup of coffee to ready himself for the rest of today. "Missed the time, that's all. Nothing really held me back." Besides the crippling anxiety for what's to come.

"Nice." Yoongi said.

The space was filled with awkward silence. Maybe Jungkook just thought it was awkward, the other two didn't seem too bothered by it.

There wasn't much said or to be shared.

As if on cue to save Jungkook, the waiter came up with a notepad in his hands. "Hi, what may I get for you guys? Are we ready now?"

Yoongi had told the waiter that they were waiting on a group and to give them some time but it didn't matter anymore, everyone was late anyways.

"Um," Jungkook looked at the menu at the picture he thought looked tasty. "Eggs," English everyone.

The waiter looked at the photo Jungkook pointed at. "Okay, would you like pancakes or a hash brown with that?" Asked the man, jolting down what the other pointed at.

"Uh . . . Hash brown. Yes, please." Jungkook wished he knew just a bit more. Jeongguk always tried to convince his younger brother to take an English course with him but after the first semester, Jungkook was done. "And cup of coffee please."

"Black? Would you like black coffee?"

Did waiters always ask so many questions? "No, uh, van- . . . Vanilla cream and two-" Jungkook looked over at Yoongi and Hoseok who looked back at him with amusement. "How do you say sugar in English?" He asked in Korean.

"Suga." Yoongi said, feeling pretty confident which had to be the most adorable thing known to man. The simps we are for these boys.

"Ah! Yes! Two sugas please." He concluded, looking back up at the waiter who had such a soft smile on his handsome face. "And for you two?" He looked at Yoongi and Hoseok who proceeded to give their orders.

They just asked for a chocolate muffin and a banana nut muffin, not too hungry since they had a little bit of food back at their motel.

"He was checking you out." Hoseok chuckled right at the waiter took his leave with their orders. He had a smug look on his handsome face, wiggling his brows.

"The waiter?" Jungkook cocked a brow, not following entirely.

"Yeah! He totally thought you were cute! Should've seen the way he looked at you and smiled. He thinks you're hot." Hoseok was filling up Jungkook's ego but the youngest played it cool.

He just rolled his eyes and shook his head. So cool.

"Sorry we're late!" Seokjin's voice was loud and clear, making the three who were already sitting look back to watch Seokjin drag a very tired-looking Namjoon. The eldest too looked very tired but Namjoon just didn't look mentally awake for any of this.

"Took you guys long enough. How long does it take to get up?" Asked Hoseok but he was just having fun with them.

"According to Namjoon, a long time. He still isn't awake." Yoongi chuckled and watched as Namjoon just rubbed his tired eyes, releasing a yawn.

Seokjin threw his arm over his husband. "He was binging some show last night. I told him he should go to sleep but he didn't want to listen to me."

The table shared a laugh, all besides Namjoon who wasn't really listening to the group and their conversation over his lack of obedience.

Not long after did the first three receive their food and Seokjin and Namjoon's orders being taken after finally arriving.

On the other hand, Jimin was trying to convince Taehyung to follow him into the café. The brunet just looked so scared for some reason. He had been acting this way the entire time he was with Jimin.

Jimin thought maybe something happened over the time they spent apart, or maybe he grew up which seemed more reasonable. It sucked that Taehyung was like this because looking at Jimin felt so wrong after Taehyung did his best friend so dirty back a few years.

Jimin just believed it was just the fact he had matured over the years apart and he was like this now. Only time would tell.

"I don't think I can do this . . . Just tell Jungkook I went back home." Taehyung said, feeling his knees feel like jelly under all his weight.

Jimin let out a soft sigh. "Jeongguk isn't here and you won't see him for awhile so you don't have to worry about him right now. I mean, Jungkook invited you so I don't understand why you're nervous."

"It's the principles." Taehyung shrugged, shaking his head. "Yoongi, Hoseok, Jin, Namjoon . . . You." Taehyung pointed out. "Aren't you guys mad at me? The others don't even know I'm here and looked just as shocked as everyone else at that table. Nobody wanted to talk to me then so why would anyone want to now?"

"Emotions were high. People were angry, Taehyung, it was so right from left field and just out of the blue." Jimin commented. "I'm sure they won't be as upset."

"As upset? They'll still be upset."

"You're missing the entire point."

Taehyung didn't say anything, trying to think of what he should do now. He felt like such a horrible person but he didn't want to run away this time. He didn't want to bail and leave everyone hanging for another three, four, five, six years.

It was unfair then and would be unfair now.

". . . Fine." He finally said. "But the moment they yell or it gets too much, I would appreciate if we could just leave." The younger stated with a sad expression, showing just how hesitant he was.

"Of course." Jimin offered a sweet smile. A sweet and unknowing smile.
