Halftime finally came around. Panthers were winning twenty-one to thirteen against the Atlanta Falcons. It was clear that the Falcons' offense hadn't preformed their best and was being bested.
The gang, all besides Jungkook, didn't really care for who was winning since they didn't know much about the sport. All they wanted was for Jeongguk's team to win just for a happier rest of the day after the game.
But it wasn't going to be too much happier.
Taehyung couldn't tell anyone a damn thing about the game considering he hadn't been watching any of it. His mind had been elsewhere; thinking of ways he could tell Jimin that he slept with Leehyun a few years back.
Jungkook gave a good suggestion but Taehyung wasn't sure he could wait that long. It was really getting to him and felt so sickening. He felt sick. It was making his stomach churn with guilt and regret.
Jimin must've noticed the dazed look Taehyung was showing, waving his hand in front of his friend's face to grab his attention which he luckily succeeded in.
"You okay?" He wondered.
Taehyung blinked and looked over, looking over at Jimin who showed a bit of worry within his beautiful eyes.
"Yeah," said the younger. "I'm okay."
"Don't look okay." Jimin returned.
"Just things on my mind, that's all." Taehyung didn't lie, it was just vague.
"Like? Want to talk about it?" Jimin offered a kindhearted smile, tilting his head a bit to the side. "You know I'm always here for you."
Taehyung stared at his friend for a moment, lips tightly pressed together as he tried to decipher what exactly he wanted to say next. "Now isn't the time." Is what he settled on.
"If you say so. We can chat all you want back at the motel before we head to Korea together!" Jimin grinned. "Maybe make it into a movie night! Oh! Or we can binge any cartoons you want to watch if you're still into that!"
"Sure, if you would like it as well." Taehyung was getting a broken heart from someone who didn't even know was breaking his heart. It was the guilt ripping away at him.
"I'll love whatever we do, just to make you feel better!" Jimin nudged his arm. "We have a lot to cover since you've been away, it'll be so much fun! Like you never left to begin with!"
It didn't sound nice at all considering what Taehyung had to say. He just nodded simply, hoping Jimin would shut up sooner than later.
"We can cuddle on the bed like old times, pig out, all of it!" Jimin continued unfortunately. Like Leehyun continued to thrust and Taehyung continued to moan his name.
"Stop." Taehyung uttered but it wasn't loud enough to be heard by Jimin.
"Stay warm, tell jokes!" His smile only grew as he thought of what they could do. "It'll be fun to hang out, just us and continue where we left off." That was impossible for them to do considering what Taehyung left off was an intimate night with Jimin's boyfriend.
"Please." Taehyung sucked in a sharp deep breath.
Jimin still didn't hear it, maybe because they were still sitting in their seats at the stadium, the others going to get foods and drinks, leaving only Jimin and Taehyung there alone. "Maybe we can stay a few more days in America just to explore together."
"Jimin! Shut up!" Taehyung rose his voice, startling the aforementioned. He appeared to be shocked at his own outburst, eyes a bit wide. "I-I mean . . . Stop, please." He gulped, looking down.
"Oh, I'm sorry." Jimin said, brows pulled in. "I was rambling, that's my fault." He was apologizing and he shouldn't be the one saying sorry, not when Taehyung got fucked by Jimin's ex-boyfriend.
"Don't say sorry, you were just excited. I am too, promise." Taehyung told but it was excited at all. Not one bit.
"Still, I should've not been so expressive and detailed. We still have to talk about what's on your mind and I got carried away." Just like Taehyung and Leehyun did a few years back.
Taehyung didn't respond, feeling as his replies were making the situation worse. He just looked out at the field, hands placed firmly on his lap. He tried to distract himself but Jimin had other plans.
"Hopefully you don't feel overwhelmed." Jimin tried to keep a conversation but not too far from the last. Taehyung was losing it, trying his hardest to not snap. "We can always take a break." He added. "Go out and get a breather." He said more. "Try and help you relax-"
"I fucked Leehyun." Taehyung sputtered, the words just slipping right out. He had no control over them and they were out before he could even attempt to stop them.
There was a moment of silence but Jimin spoke first. "What?" He must've heard wrong. No way he picked up that random sentence.
"I slept with Leehyun. I cheated on the twins with your boyfriend and I ran away because I was afraid of getting caught." Taehyung admitted, slowly looking at Jimin to see the pained and bewildered reaction. Jimin didn't hear wrong at all. Maybe it was a joke.
"Hah," Jimin's lips curled up but it was quivering at the sides, threatening to fall into a frown. His heart was pounding loud in his chest. "You're funny, Taehyung. Always have been the one to joke around." He forced out a broken chuckle.
"Jimin," Taehyung shook his head, clearly gulping and looking obviously serious. "I-I'm not . . . I'm not joking." His voice cracked towards the end, fear building up.
The seriousness set in and Jimin's fake smile dropped into a very real scowl.
The elder shot from his seat and looked down at Taehyung who stayed seated, not giving himself time to process since he already heard the words he last wanted to hear. "You mean to tell me that you were the fucking one-nightstand he had?! He cheated on me with you?!" Jimin didn't shy from raising his voice, not sure if he was dreaming or not but he was going to continue regardless. "You must be joking. The Taehyung I know wouldn't ever do that. Not after all I've done for him."
"I'm sorry,"
"Sorry?!" Jimin repeated with a louder tone. "You're sorry?! What friend does that? And you had me here, defending you, helping you, taking your side and you were the one in the wrong!" He was pissed and rightfully so.
Jimin had fallen in love with Leehyun and had such a perfect life until Leehyun told him he cheated and broke his heart. Jimin didn't know with who and didn't care for who it was but that was before he learned it was Taehyung.
"I expect this from some two-faced jerk but you? You went behind my back and your boyfriends' back, all for what? Then decided you were going to run away, make us look stupid." Jimin looked hurt now, anger still relevant. "Who else knows my boyfriend fucked you?" His words were harsh and he didn't give a damn.
Taehyung could only keep his eyes locked on Jimin. "The twins . . ." He said. His lips were quivering, heart racing in his chest.
"Who else? No way you only told them." Jimin had lowered his tone but only a bit. He had tears rising in his eyes but he wasn't ready to let them fall. "You better tell me the truth, Taehyung." He leaned forward, getting a bit closer and looking so scary.
". . . Yoongi hyung knows." The words just fell out but he couldn't lie to his friend's face, not like this.
"Yoongi knows?" Jimin felt like it was betrayal after betrayal. "I can't believe you, Taehyung. Seriously. After everything, after I helped you out of a toxic and and abusive relationship, after I held onto you when you cried, babied you, took your side for everything and you decide to pay me back and sleep with the one person I gave my heart to. You're fucking sick."
"Jimin, please, I swear I didn't mean to!" Taehyung cried out but his arms shot up when Jimin pulled his fist back, ready to lay into Taehyung. He wasn't one to resort to violence but Taehyung didn't know the right words for the situation.
However, there was no impact. Nothing connected with Taehyung, not punch right to the face.
Taehyung uncovered his face to see Jungkook right behind Jimin, pulling him away from Taehyung who looked oh so petrified.
The short adult shoved Jungkook off of him, shaking his head. He didn't say anything else and decided he was done. Jimin didn't want to stand here and soak in what Taehyung confessed to. He couldn't or he would keep trying to hit Taehyung and just scream away his lungs. He walked away, tears running down his cheeks and anger boiling.
Taehyung watched him leave, anxiety through the roof. He only looked over at Jungkook when Jimin could no longer be seen, disappearing behind fans.
"You couldn't wait?" Jungkook wondered, voice awfully calm. He looked pretty shocked himself, not thinking Taehyung would tell in the mist of a football game or that Jimin would react like that.
Taehyung stared for a moment but shook his head. "No, it was eating away at me." He spoke honestly.
"Hey, is Jimin alright?" Yoongi's voice made itself apparent, the aforementioned looking at Taehyung and Jungkook and immediately realizing what happened. He didn't repeat the question when no one answered him, figuring it would be poor timing.
Hoseok saw Jimin crying and had resorted to go after him to see if he could help in any way possible. Namjoon and Seokjin weren't back just yet, probably lost again somewhere but they would come to terms with that issue when it arose.
Taehyung and Jungkook just kept a steady eye-contact, both showing similar yet different emotions.

A/N:
I feel like I wrote this pretty poorly but I hope it got the right message across. Jimin obviously feels back-stabbed by Taehyung and Yoongi.
Hope you enjoyed! Happy Holidays!
