Our Kitty

“So? That's not our responsibility!! What if the four of us get in trouble for this? You know how dangerous it is to keep an Omega and we could be charged for kidnapping and what not if his parents or guardians find out!!”

The sound of yelling coming from downstairs immediately alarmed the cat-hybrid, as he woke up from his peaceful sleep. Was he hearing things right? Keeping an Omega. They must be talking about him!

“STOP! JUST STOP YOU TWO!!” Taehyun heard Yeonjun’s loud voice yell and he visibly shuddered. Were they yelling because of him? Because he was a burden?

“So I'm a burden afterall..what was I thinking..?” Taehyun thought, as he heard them fight because of him. He was a home-wrecker, making the four fight because of him.

“You're useless!”   “That's why no one wants you!” “Such a waste of money and time” “I heard his mom died because of him haha” “I wish you were never born”.

Words of the past echoed into his brain, making his sanity go woosh with a whiplash. He was having his flashback sessions again.

“Pathetic.. I'm so pathetic..” Taehyun thought, his ears flopping down in an attempt to block the voices in his head from yelling at him. He hid his face in his hands, curling up into a ball near the corner of the bed, desperately trying not to go into a fit of panic attack again.

“Why me…? Why?” He mumbled soundless, biting his lips harsh enough to draw blood. He tasted the crimson liquid on his tongue, as he swiped his tongue over his drying lips, the metallic aftertaste of the liquid making him scrunch his nose in distaste.

“Please stop..not n-now. P-please.” Taehyun begged, having no idea who he was begging to, but he prayed. He desperately wanted to stay sane and not spiral into his destructive thoughts again. The thought of being unwanted and unworthy made his stomach twist in displeasure, anxiety racking his body making him shudder physically. Tears of shame and guilt started building up in his eyes, as he closed them tightly to not let them fall.

“Should I just leave?” Taehyun thought, as he looked around the room, the room which belonged to the Alpha and the Beta. He was just an intruder, a stranger taking up their space and making their lives hard. That was the harsh reality.

“I should l-leave. I-i d-don’t deserve them.” Taehyun thought, looking around himself to find a way to escape. He can't go downstairs, they'll find him. He can't escape.

“Why..why why…!” Taehyun choked on a sob, trying to find a window which might help him run away from here.

Gathering up his courage and controlling his breath, he stepped down from the bed and trudged towards the curtain which hid the window pane behind it. He slid the curtain aside to see the city outside covered in a blanket of white snow, with chilly wind blowing outside as it was already dark outside.

Taehyun hesitantly tried to open the sliding glass window pane, the cold air hitting his face as soon as he opened the window.

Taehyun shivered, feeling the cold hair stabbing his face like needles. He felt so warm and comfortable in this room which was filled with the older two’s soothing scent, the soft material of Beomgyu’s hoodie hugged his skinny frame perfectly, providing him with the warmth he needed.

He didn't want to leave this comfort, and wanted to indulge into the fake bubble he was in so far, thinking he was maybe wanted. But reality was harsh, just like the cold wind hitting his face right now.

The Omega shook his head to get rid of his thoughts, ready to leave.
“I don't belong here..” he thought as he looked down from the window to the ground. Two-storey jump would be fine, right? There's snow below, he probably won't die or get a fracture. He can escape easily.

“Just do it Taehyun.” He thought, placing his hands on the freezing cold metal frame of the window, trying to climb up and jump out.

His knees felt like giving up as he looked down at the ground, it looked so high from this angle. Was he choosing death?

“That's what I deserve anyways.” He sighed, thinking that maybe if he dies, he'll finally find peace and someone would cry…for him. Would his dad cry? He doubts that. He hated his mere existence after all.

A tear of sadness escaped Taehyun's lips, as he prepared himself to jump. He successfully climbed the window frame, ready to jump. His heart thrummed inside his chest, as he felt a rush of adrenaline running through his veins on the thought of jumping onto the cold icy ground.

“1, 2, 3 Ju-”

“KITTY!!!” Taehyun felt two arms pulling him back, as he fell down backwards from the impact, but his back didn't hit the floor. It landed on a soft body instead.

He opened his eyes to see Beomgyu looking at him in horror.

“What were you doing!!!” Beomgyu almost yelled, holding Taehyun in disbelief. The look of betrayal and disappointment in Beomgyu’s eyes were clear, and it made Taehyun feel even more shitty. Not only was he a burden, he made them fight and now even disappointed. What was he thinking?

He wanted to yell, to speak out but his damn voice won't come out. He was frustrated. With his life, himself, his body, his voice, his everything. Why can't he be just normal for once?

“A-ah..u-uh..” Taehyun tried to speak up, but nothing came out aside from some breathy sounds. Tears of frustration prickled the corner of his eyes, as he hung his head low with shame.

“Kitty look at me.” Beomgyu held Taehyun's chin with his fingers, making the Omega look at him.

“Were you trying to run away..?” Beomgyu asked softly, and Taehyun’s dam broke, silent tears rolled down his eyes freely. What was he supposed to say? That yes, he's a worthless piece of sh*t who wanted to run away like always?

“Kitty nod your head. Were you trying to run?” Beomgyu repeated with a more firm tone, and Taehyun nodded with shame, unable to meet Beomgyu’s prying eyes.

“What's going on Beomie Hyung?” Kai’s voice hit Taehyun's ears, and he looked up at the worried Alpha, looking at him and Beomgyu for answers.

Kai looked at them, Taehyun was being held by Beomgyu, seated on the floor. Taehyun had tears rolling down his cheeks and the room window was open which was supposed to be closed. It wouldn't take a genius to know what had happened.

Kai quickly connected the dots, and rushed towards the two.

“Kitty, were you going to jump?” Kai asked looking at the younger for answers, however nothing came as a response from the other.

“Tell me Kitty, were you going to..?” Kai’s voice trembled. Did Taehyun hear them yelling downstairs? Is that why he was trying to run away?

Taehyun let out a small sob, hiding his face in Beomgyu's chest from guilt. He disappointed Kai and Beomgyu, they'll hate him now. They'll throw him away. They will-

Taehyun didn't realise when, but he was being enveloped into a hug by both the olders, as Kai seemed to be stroking his hair and Beomgyu was petting his tail.

“Kitty, we're sorry. It wasn't because of you. We just needed to figure out some things. We'll keep you safe, don't worry about that. Don't think of doing something stupid like this again please.” Kai whispered into his ears, his honeyed voice helping Taehyun’s nerves calm down.

“Kai's right. Soobin hyung was just worried, he's not a bad person neither he hates you Kitty. We just need to figure out stuff sometimes. Don't think we don't like you, Kai brought you here because we want to keep you safe Kitty.” Beomgyu replied as well, wiping the tears which were now drying up.

Taehyun looked up at the two, his eyes teary and lips trembling. How did he even manage to think these four might hate him? How foolish of him. Even these four strangers are showing him more affection than his own father and so called friends ever did. Was this even real? Or was he actually imagining them? He didn't know, and he didn't care. Not at this moment.

“Let me stay in this bubble, a little more.” Taehyun thought, sighing and accepting the hugs of the two. Kai and Beomgyu looked at the smaller in their arms, snuggled like an actual Kitten and smiled. He was such a cute and precious baby.

“We're sorry for making you think like that baby.” Beomgyu replied, ruffling Taehyun's hair which earned him a purr from the latter. His eyes widened.

“D-did he just Purr?” Beomgyu mumbled, looking at Kai, who was looking at him as well.

“He definitely did! Oh my god!” Kai exclaimed, smiling brightly and scratching behind Taehyun's cat ears, earning more purrs from the Omega. Kai’s heart started fluttering with the cute noises the smaller was making. He was so cute. He wanted the other two to see it.

“Yeonjunie Hyung! Soobin hyung! Come upstairs!” Kai called them, and in a minute both of them were upstairs with a curious look on their faces.

“What is Hyukie?” Yeonjun asked, stepping inside their room to see the three huddled up on the floor and the Cat-hybrid hiding his face in Beomgyu's chest.

“Our Kitty is purring! It's so cute!” Kai said with an excited smile, which made the other two step closer to them as well.

Taehyun was blushing in embarrassment by now. Why were they fussing over his purrs? It wasn't anything special. He hid away in sheer embarrassment, but couldn't help but like it when Kai scratched behind his ears or Beomgyu played with tail.

“Oh! He's swaying his tail like Kai!” Soobin exclaimed, looking at the Cat-hybrid, whose tail was swaying. It was such an adorable sight. Taehyun was embarrassed, but he kind of liked the attention he was getting. No one had ever complimented his features like that.

“Awww you look so cute Kitty~” Yeonjun cooed, petting Taehyun's hair as well. The youngest could do nothing but take all their affection, hiding his face in embarrassment. He was blushing profusely while the four cooed and babied him. He liked this, he liked this more than he thought he would. He loved this so much.

Was this how people felt when they were happy? Because he definitely felt that. He can't remember the last time he was this happy..it felt nice to be coddled and doted on. Maybe, he wasn't really imagining, and this was all real. He would like to believe that.

“So, where do you think he should sleep?” Kai questioned.

The five of them were sitting on the floor of Beomgyu and Kai’s shared room, talking about sleeping arrangements.

“I think he's still a little uncomfortable around Soobin, plus our bed is more spacious if we remove Kai’s plushies.” Beomgyu replied side-eyeing Kai who just gave a cheeky smile.

“Sounds reasonable. What do you think Kitty? Would you like to sleep with Hyukie and Gyu?” Yeonjun asked the Cat-hybrid who was sitting between Kai and Beomgyu currently.

Taehyun looked at Kai and Beomgyu, and nodded in agreement. He wouldn't mind sleeping with the two. He liked the bed, it was comfortable and soft, and he felt comfortable with Kai even though he was an Alpha and Beomgyu’s hugs were so comforting. Sleeping with these two didn't sound bad at all.

“Alright then, Kitty will be sleeping with us tonight!” Kai said, looking at Taehyun with a grin, to which Taehyun shyly smiled back.

“It's settled then. Goodnight Gyu, Goodnight Hyukie.” Yeonjun smiled, ruffling Kai’s head which made his ears flutter in happiness, and kissing Beomgyu’s forehead which earned him a sweet smile from the other.

Yeonjun turned to Taehyun, and patted his head as well.
“Goodnight Kitty. Sleep well.” Yeonjun replied softly, while Soobin kissed the other two Goodnight as well.

“Goodnight Kitty, see you tomorrow morning.” Soobin replied, smiling at Taehyun who blushed at the sight of the Alpha’s cute dimples and pretty smile. He wanted to say Goodnight as well, but he couldn't. He didn't think much about it now, since he was feeling pretty good.

Soobin and Yeonjun left the room and now Taehyun, Kai and Beomgyu were alone in the room.

“Would you like to sleep between us Kitty?” Beomgyu asked, looking at the latter for his confirmation. Taehyun nodded a Yes.

“Alright! Let's cuddle to sleep tonight!” Kai replied excitedly, getting on the bed and waiting for the other two to join. Beomgyu joined in, and Taehyun hesitated for a second before joining them as well.

“Are you okay with us holding you Kitty?” Kai asked, making sure the Omega was comfortable.

Taehyun nodded immediately. He craved the warmth and love, ofcourse he wanted to be held so bad. He wanted that every night, and now that he was getting two warm human furnaces in a cold night, who was he to decline?

Kai smiled and wrapped one of his arms around the smaller’s waist, nuzzling his neck which made the younger shiver and feel tingly. Beomgyu did the same and wrapped his arm around him, Kai and Beomgyu’s hand joining over Taehyun's stomach.

“Goodnight baby.” Beomgyu said closing his eyes.
“Goodnight Kitty.” Kai whispered intoo Taehyun's neck, closing his eyes as well.

Taehyun felt his heart flutter, and closed his eyes as well, hoping his heart wasn't beating too loud. He felt so loved and so safe in their arms. He felt comfortable, and so warm. If this was a dream, he never wanted to wake up.

“I wish this dream never ends.” Taehyun thought, as he closed his eyes as well, letting sleep comsume him once again with a hope of a beautiful tomorrow.
